    Kohaku Ao

    The Hotel was originally clean, but after being upgraded, the room was spacious and relaxing, with the bath and toilet separated—overall, I was very satisfied. There was also a shochu tasting, and fragrant herbs as well, which made me happy. I would definitely like to stay again.

    What happened? Breakfast!

    In July 2025, I stayed for two nights in a twin Room with my daughter. We were satisfied with both the Room and the breakfast. This time, I stayed alone for three nights in December. The bath salts and aroma service in the front lobby is excellent. However, the women at the front desk never smile. It’s nice that they don’t engage in unnecessary chatter, but it can also come across as cold. Are there many tourists? The single Room this time felt comparable to a Business Hotel newly opened in the same city. It was clean and quiet, which was good. What surprised me this time was how poor the breakfast was. The scrambled eggs on the warming tray were completely cold, and rice was only refilled after guests asked for it. Even the local dishes didn’t feel special—I’d like to see more creativity. And while natto is common anywhere, I’ve never had natto this hard before. All three breakfasts during my three-night stay were disappointing. Breakfast is an essential part of travel for me... I wonder what happened to this Hotel over the past few months?

    Music Event

    There was a music event until the evening with food stalls, creating a lively stay that the children enjoyed. The Room included a large refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and kitchen. The living area is sunken with a table and sofa arranged on a lower level. The bathroom felt slightly cramped in the washing area. It would be nice to have towels available in the toilet as well. The balcony terrace had both a sofa space and an artificial grass area, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor events until night. A nearby bakery that opens early in the morning is highly recommended.

    I would like to use it again.

    This was my first time staying here. The room was spacious and had a great atmosphere. The location was excellent, and there was even an event held right in front of the accommodation the day after my stay, which gave me a sense of the energy of Miyakonojo City. I also appreciated that the bathroom and toilet were separate. I would love to stay here again.

    Very satisfied again!

    I have stayed at this accommodation with my child every summer, and this is our third visit. The atmosphere of the guest rooms and lobby, the staff's hospitality, cleanliness, and overall experience are comparable to high-end hotels in urban areas. We always have a comfortable stay. Additionally, the reasonable pricing makes it highly satisfying. I believe it is one of the top hotels not only in Miyakonojo but also in all of Miyazaki. As I travel with my child, I appreciate amenities like the coin laundry and microwave. The adjacent library (a wonderful and cozy space) and a water play area available during summer allow us to relax and enjoy our time. If you have a car, it's also convenient as a base for sightseeing around Miyazaki. One concern is that over the years, supermarket product selections have decreased, making it harder to find what we need. With convenience stores being slightly far away as well, I hope supermarkets will remain available in the area. We look forward to staying again next year. Thank you for your continued hospitality!

    Beautiful Hotel

    The Hotel was overall clean, including the guest rooms. It was nice to be able to sample local sake. However, the lack of a shared Onsen and no mirror in the bathroom of the guest room were downsides.

    Modern, quiet, and stylish

    My family home is in the city, but this time I stayed here, a place I had been curious about for a while. Initially planned for a one-night stay, but it was so comfortable that I extended to a multiple night stay. The room had a sleek design and was very clean. The breakfast buffet in the morning had just the right variety of dishes, and the staff were kind and attentive. I will definitely use this accommodation again!

    The charm of this city has doubled with the opening of this Hotel in Miyakonojo.

    Adjacent to a wonderful library in the center of the city of Miyakonojo, there is a square under the Hotel where markets are held, and a lovely supermarket is also attached, making your stay in this city many times more comfortable and enriching than before. It is truly wonderful that this Hotel exists in this city. The concept is urban, the breakfast is lovely, and I think it offers a comfortable Hotel life, especially for young people. That being said, the impression after staying was a bit lacking in excitement. For example, the sofa in the guest room did not fit the line of a person's back no matter how it was set, and the unevenness of the Room combined with the dim lighting felt dangerous and not relaxing. Perhaps if I had stayed in a luxurious Room on the upper floors, I might have had a completely different impression, so please take this as a personal opinion. (The sofa in the image was playfully made into a king's chair)

    I used it with my fa...

    I used it with my family. I thought it was a high-sense Hotel, different from the impression of Miyakonojo I visited when I was little. Moreover, there happened to be an event on the night we stayed, and I was surprised to see a super famous DJ I used to like playing. I only used breakfast for meals, but it was delicious. I deducted a little because the Room's equipment was broken and the dried flowers were chipped (I forgot to mention it at checkout), but it is highly recommended as a Hotel in Miyakonojo. Thank you very much.

    It was very good.

    The property is still new and clean, with excellent cleaning and wonderful staff service, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. However, the desk and layout in the guest room are a bit inconvenient for teleworking, but that's understandable.

    "My father was delighted, saying it was the best hotel he had ever stayed at."

    Due to a sudden change of plans, I needed to find a place for my elderly parents to stay in Miyazaki, and I quickly found this place. After reading the reviews, I was confident that this would be a good choice, so I made a reservation. I always use Ikkyu.com for bookings, and I have a lot of trust in them, and it seems my parents were very pleased. My father said it was the best hotel he has ever stayed at. Thank you very much. I would like to stay there myself someday.
