    Highly recommended.

I have no complaints about any of the points mentioned in the review categories. I truly had a wonderful holiday. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be access to the main tourist spots, but that distance is also what creates the special, out-of-the-ordinary feel—so it’s not really a complaint. The Room was beautifully designed for relaxing, and I was able to spend my time there in complete comfort. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant and welcoming, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Above all, the free-flowing Onsen bath in the Room was outstanding. I love soaking in an Onsen, so it was incredibly relaxing. With traditional Accommodations like this, I often worry about the internet connection, but this time it was very stable. I could use streaming services without any issues. Since this was a Multiple Night Stay, they thoughtfully arranged things so that some menu items wouldn’t overlap. Of course, everything was delicious. The Arita-yaki tableware was also beautiful. It’s not somewhere I can visit often, but I would definitely like to stay here again when I next visit Fukuoka.

For my mother's 60th birthday celebration

A few years ago, I stayed at "Akizuki Kuoritei" with my mother, and though it has since closed, I couldn't forget the experience and wished I had visited more often. Just when I was feeling this way, I discovered "Kominka Neri," a related accommodation. I decided to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday here and had been looking forward to this stay for a long time. The room exceeded all expectations. It featured a warm traditional Japanese house style while being spacious and open, with impeccable cleanliness that allowed us to relax completely. The private onsen in the room was also delightful; the light streaming through the lattice created a wonderful atmosphere. The water temperature was perfect every time we used it. For my mother's birthday celebration, we enjoyed the French course dinner at "Sokotei," which was truly exceptional and moving. Every dish, crafted with care using fresh vegetables as its centerpiece, was delicious. The staff's explanations and thoughtful service left a lasting impression on us as well. During dessert, they presented my mother with celebratory flowers—she was overjoyed! My mother is quite the gourmet herself but continued to savor the memory of each dish even after dinner; seeing her so happy made me feel equally delighted. The next morning, we had a Japanese breakfast at "Torashiro." It was gentle on our bodies and well-balanced; everything tasted wonderful but especially memorable were the rice's flavor and quality! Next time we stay here again (and there will definitely be another visit), I'd love to try their dinner too—it seems Miyawaka is full of culinary surprises! Lastly yet importantly: special thanks go out towards one Vietnamese female staff member who guided us during our stay—her fluent Japanese combined alongside polite & kind hospitality ensured utmost comfort throughout entire duration spent within premises itself! Wishing her continued success ahead always!! Overall? This trip turned into an unforgettable experience filled w/ satisfaction across board entirely!! Without hesitation whatsoever—we’d love nothing more than returning someday soon alongside cherished loved ones alike!!

We used the accommodation for staff recreation and a year-end party. The guest rooms were comfortable, and the service was excellent. We had dinner at Soka-tei and breakfast at Ryosho Torashiro, both of which were exceptional in quality and quantity, leaving all participants very satisfied. As there are few similar accommodations within Fukuoka Prefecture, we would love to stay here again if given the opportunity.

An accommodation that soothes your soul and makes you want to return.

I have stayed at "Kominka Neri" several times since its opening, and this visit was my first in about three years. From the moment I arrived at the parking lot, I was warmly welcomed by the familiar hostess and the owner, whom I hadn't seen in a while. Their unchanging smiles made me feel truly comforted. The unique greeting of "Welcome back" gave me a sense of reassurance that is special to this accommodation. At check-in, we were able to choose two drinks per person and enjoyed beer and highball. In our room, thoughtful touches such as bamboo chopsticks for the New Year and lucky charms like traditional dolls were prepared, which deeply impressed us with their attention to detail. The accommodation features a traditional Japanese house design with all rooms being private villas equipped with onsen baths. The nostalgic yet calming atmosphere allowed us to relax completely as we enjoyed warm tea and Japanese sweets from the refrigerator while sitting by a kotatsu—a truly blissful moment after so long. The spacious onsen bath with natural hot spring water flowing directly from its source was incredibly soothing. The cool breeze coming in from outside added to the experience, providing deep relaxation for both body and mind. The ample supply of towels also reflected their considerate hospitality. For dinner, we savored a course meal paired with drinks at Michelin one-starred "Soka-tei." Breakfast featured traditional Japanese cuisine made using locally sourced ingredients for both meals—each dish meticulously prepared not only in taste but also presentation—leaving us continuously amazed by their dedication. While everything about this stay was exceptional—the food especially—it is ultimately the warmth of all staff members that left the deepest impression on me once again during this visit: from management down through every team member whose genuine care makes staying here unforgettable. This is an accommodation you’ll want to book again just for another chance meeting them; highly recommended!

    Accommodation with Onsen to Enjoy

This accommodation features a private onsen bath in the room, allowing you to enjoy hot spring water at any time. The room is designed in a traditional Japanese farmhouse style, providing a relaxing atmosphere, and during this season, a kotatsu is available for warmth and comfort. Upon check-in, each guest can choose up to two complimentary drinks (such as canned beer, canned shochu, or soda), perfect for unwinding with after your bath. However, one downside during this stay was the disturbance caused by some guests who were talking loudly while walking around late at night. It would be appreciated if the accommodation could encourage quiet behavior during nighttime hours to ensure all guests have a pleasant experience.

We had a very satisfying one-night stay!

Delicious, beautifully presented meals in a charming, nostalgic Room of a traditional old house, abundant hot-spring water, and warm, attentive staff—everything was completely satisfying. The stepping stones at the entrance to the front desk were small, and the front desk area itself was very narrow; I was confused at first, but I think it was designed that way on purpose. This time it was just the two of us as a couple, but in summer I’d love to bring our children as well. The price felt more than fair. After check-out we went to Arita (Arita Sera), and there were many items we recognized—and we were surprised by their prices. Their attention to tableware was also wonderful (a katakuchi sake pitcher was used for dessert at breakfast).

    Everything was satisfactory.

The room, service, and meals were all satisfactory. We stayed on a rather cold day, but there was no chilliness typical of detached buildings, and both the onsen and the washing area were warm. The presence of a kotatsu where we could enjoy mandarins and oshiruko was also a delightful service. The spring quality didn't feel particularly impactful at first, but it provided warmth for a long time with plenty of fluffy towels available for multiple baths. Although in cans, we were allowed to choose our welcome drink and enjoyed it leisurely in our room. Initially, the dining area felt slightly cold; however, they promptly provided heaters and blankets for comfort. In the morning, they had already warmed up the place with heaters from the start. Meals focused on vegetables and fish were all delicious. It was delightful to have freshly cooked rice served directly from an iron pot in the morning as well. The pound cake and coffee received as souvenirs were high-level treats that we continued to enjoy even after returning home. Although the property's location is somewhat inconvenient, I would definitely like to stay again if I'm nearby.

A traditional Japanese-style property where you can relax in the bath.

This is a property where you can thoroughly enjoy the onsen in the semi-open-air bath in the room. The onsen is quite hot (adjust the temperature to your liking by adding water). It is also nice that plenty of bath towels and other amenities are provided. The room is not just in the style of an old folk house, but is an old folk house itself, so there are many gaps and it is cold in the winter. However, with a kotatsu and air conditioning (+ humidifier), the room can be quite comfortable. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were just the right amount and very delicious. I would like to visit again in a warmer season.
