    Full of hospitality.

    I made a Reservation to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday! From check-in, we were welcomed with delicious tea and sweets, and the process was smooth and pleasant. Dinner was excellent—everything from the sashimi to the steamed vegetables was delicious. Since we both love alcohol, the all-you-can-drink selection with so many options was amazing! Breakfast was also healthy and tasty, and it was such a great Accommodation that it made us want to stay one more night. My girlfriend was very happy! Thank you so much.

    Warm, heartfelt hospitality from our Myanmar staff.

    We were very satisfied with the location, views, and the well-appointed lounge. The warm hospitality of the Myanmar staff was truly comforting. We were glad we could enjoy a quiet stay.

    Excellent

    Everything was flawless. The service was perfect, and I was truly impressed. The dinner sashimi boat platter was very fresh and delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, and it was a very satisfying Accommodation.

    I really enjoyed my stay.

    I stayed for one night and truly enjoyed the attentive service from the staff, being able to relax in the indoor bath, and spending a leisurely time on the 3rd-floor lounge while eating and drinking. However, dinner was quite filling (my fault for choosing so many steamed dishes), and I wished the final hitsumabushi had been served in a smaller portion. The bagna cauda sauce was unbelievably delicious!

    The Room and the bath were both great.

    It was in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen Station and right next to Jizo-yu. Both the Room and the dining Room were very nice, and I was able to relax in the bath. The only disappointing thing was that music was playing inside the building until late at night. I can’t sleep unless it’s completely quiet, so I asked them to turn it off.

    Satisfied.

    Last year, I stayed at Sumpei in Taiza and felt very comfortable, so this time I came to Kinosaki. It had been a while since my last visit to Kinosaki Onsen, and while the townscape is still familiar, it has become a lively place that younger people can enjoy rather than a quiet, nostalgic old-town atmosphere. The Hotel is right next to Jizo-yu and was easy to find. Although the building has the charm of an old Japanese house, it has been stylishly renovated, and the artistic space felt very relaxing. Also, the warm hospitality from everyone from Myanmar was wonderful. The meals and lounge service were excellent. Thank you very much!

    A place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

    I was able to relax completely. The private bath never overlapped with anyone else, so I could take my time. Since I stayed on the third floor, right next to the lounge—zero minutes on foot—I spent almost all my time there rather than in my Room except for meals. I enjoyed drinks and snacks, gazed outside at a leisurely pace, and spent the whole time writing essays as a hobby. This is an Accommodation I’d love to return to for a slow, healing stay whenever work wears me out.

    The worst ever.

    This stay was honestly pretty terrible. First, my biggest complaint was how misleading the Plan description was. It was presented as if all-inclusive were a special benefit of this Plan, so I chose the more expensive Plan expecting that. In reality, other Plans also included crab (even if the type differed), the drink coverage was the same, the private bath conditions were the same, and even the checkout conditions were the same. In the end, I couldn’t see what was actually special or what I had paid extra for. Choosing a crab-included Plan also felt largely pointless. It’s true that my Plan let me eat more, but since other Plans also served crab in the first place, it felt very strange to describe it in a way that makes you choose it because “crab is included” as if that alone makes it special. It felt like something with little real differentiation was being made to look like a major difference. Some staff members—including people from Myanmar—were working hard and did their best, and that part was good. However, no matter how hard frontline staff try, that doesn’t excuse overall sloppiness or unhelpfulness across the Accommodation. Effort is fine, but it doesn’t erase dissatisfaction. I paid a lot and went in with high expectations, but all I left with was strong regret—thinking “I didn’t need this Plan at all.” The way it’s presented online, the actual differences between Plans, and overall satisfaction were all very disappointing. It’s been a long time since an Accommodation made me feel this ripped off. Honestly, it was simply awful.

    The lounge has long opening hours, which is great.

    As my daughter is moving out of our family home, we finally visited Genbudo—something we’d long hoped to do—and stayed in Kinosaki Onsen for the first time. From Genbudo, we took the bus to Kinosaki Onsen Station and got off at the Jizo-yu Koen-mae bus stop. It’s a 1-minute walk. The Accommodation is right next to Jizo-yu, a famous public bath. Across the river, there’s also a FamilyMart. The lounge offers afternoon tea until 5:30 PM, and alcohol is available as well. There’s a server for Kinosaki Pilsner, and it tastes amazing in a chilled pewter tumbler. There were also plenty of sake and wine. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM, and of course alcohol is free—truly all-inclusive. There were nuts and cheese too, but the sashimi boat platter was outstanding!! The “Gokuraku-mushi” steamed dish with medicinal herb sauce was so delicious that we both went back for seconds. After dinner, you can still use the lounge, and on the first floor they even served petit cakes and rosé wine until 2:00 AM—my daughter was thrilled. I suffer from seasonal allergic rhinitis around this time of year, so being able to take aroma oil back to my Room was incredibly helpful. I slept comfortably with tea tree oil. Drinking Japanese herbal tea before bed also warmed me up and helped me sleep well. The hair dryers in both the private bath and the Room are Dyson. If only there had been firm pillows… it would have been a perfect score. (Even so, we were told only soft pillows were available—thank you very much for preparing various things in advance.) As for the Diamond benefit tote bag after bathing—was it forgotten? When I asked, they brought it right away along with Sekkisei amenities. Late check-out allowed us to relax at our own pace, which we really appreciated. They even celebrated my daughter’s new start on her own and gave us a commemorative photo—she says she’ll display it in her new home. We made truly wonderful memories. P.S. My daughter apparently left a message for housekeeping saying she slightly dirtied the restroom. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    It was amazing!

    We stayed for two nights! The service was polite and excellent! The food was also excellent! I’d been busy since the end of the year and hadn’t been able to relax much, but I was able to unwind here. Thank you very much! I’d love to stay again!

    Doing your best is wonderful. The content is also GOOD.

    After reading the review and visiting, I was surprised to find that "only people from Myanmar are here." This is a new and wonderful initiative. It seems to not only create employment but also deepen international relations on a national level (there were photos on the staircase wall). Of course, the room and meals were excellent. Choosing your favorite ingredients to be steamed adds an extra layer of enjoyment. For those who might be concerned, let me add that dinner will definitely fill you up. First, sashimi is served in a boat platter, followed by crab, then the steamed dishes you selected earlier arrive. After that comes roast beef hitsumabushi—so you might need to adjust the amount of steamed dishes accordingly. This was truly a heartwarming and beautiful accommodation in every sense. Highly recommended!

    A delightful space

    This is my second visit. I stayed here in April this year and had such a comfortable and pleasant time that I decided this would be my go-to place when staying in Kinosaki Onsen. I was looking forward to the welcome tea, the soy milk tofu dessert during afternoon tea, the sashimi boat platter for dinner, Gokuraku steamed dishes, Tamba beef hitsumabushi, evening drinks at the lounge, and the handmade fermented breakfast. Once again, everything was delicious, and the balance of interaction with the staff was just right, allowing me to enjoy a wonderful time. The view from the room is charmingly atmospheric, and the lounge offers an extraordinary space to relax. I will definitely visit again!

    Dinner is included.

    Dinner includes sashimi, steamed vegetables, and meat hitsumabushi. There was also crab, but the meat was sparse and lacking. The meat in the hitsumabushi had no flavor. Breakfast was better than dinner, but for this price, it’s disappointing. Meals were served in the lounge on the third floor, which felt uncomfortable. The staff were nice, but I regret choosing this place under the name "Sumihei Bettei."

    A comfortable and lovely accommodation.

    As lovers of alcohol, we truly enjoyed the all-inclusive experience. The food and facilities were, of course, satisfying, but above all, the kind and attentive service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We would love to visit again for a more leisurely stay next time. Thank you for taking care of us!

    A First Trip with Your Girlfriend

    This was my first time staying at this accommodation, and I was extremely satisfied with the service and meals. Although I initially had some concerns knowing it is managed by someone from Myanmar, the hospitality was more dedicated than many accommodations run by Japanese owners, and every dish served for both breakfast and dinner was excellent. My partner was also very pleased. It is a wonderful accommodation that makes me want to stay again. Thank you to all the ryokan staff!

    Expected too much

    The room was extremely small, with a poor layout that made it impossible to spread out luggage. I went there to relax, but couldn't unwind. It didn't match the price. The food was very delicious, but it was difficult to adjust the portions as I didn't know what would be served, and I couldn't fully enjoy the final dish of hitsumabushi. The service was almost overly polite, but there were times when it was hard to understand verbally alone, which seemed limiting. The bath in the property felt even smaller due to various items placed inside and lacked a special feeling.

    It's really wonderful.

    Following last year, I wanted to stay here again if I came to Kinosaki Onsen! I was well taken care of. The attentive service, delicious meals, and the indoor bath did not disappoint. This year too, it made me want to come back again!

    Delicious, enjoyable, and with a great view!

    Starting with the welcome drink service, followed by afternoon tea, dinner, late-night snack, and breakfast, each was thoughtfully prepared, allowing us to enjoy them without getting bored! The dining space on the third floor, with its uniquely splendid interior, naturally filled us with a sense of being in a different world, and from the windows, we could overlook the charming scenery of Kinosaki Onsen. We spent a relaxing time here during our stay. Above all, the courteous guidance and attentiveness of the staff made for a very pleasant trip. I definitely want to visit again.

    It was a very sophisticated Stays. The staff are from overseas and are very polite. The location is convenient within walking distance from the station, and above all, the interior is lovely. I think the all-inclusive meals and drinks are a great deal. Highly recommended.

    I had the pleasure of staying at Tokitotoki, and I must say, it was a delightful experience overall. The location of this ryokan is excellent, just an easy walk from the train station and right in the heart of the town making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The ryokan itself is lovely, with stunning view that truly enhance the relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile, which made my stay even more enjoyable. However, I did find that the food for dinner, particularly the steamed dishes Gokuraku Mushi, had room for improvement. While the overall dining experience was pleasant. Despite this issue, I had a wonderful experience at Tokitotoki, enjoying a relaxing stay in this beautiful onsen town.

    Good location

    It is located near Kinosaki Onsen Station, across the bridge on the right. It is a great location for strolling around at night, borrowing geta to visit the onsen. The staff were all fluent in Japanese and kind. The property has few guest rooms and is quiet, allowing for a relaxing stay. Looking at the picturesque scenery from the window of the Stays, I felt glad to have visited Kinosaki.
