First, during check-...
First, during check-in and the Room explanation, it was difficult to understand the Japanese spoken by the staff member from overseas, and I could not fully grasp the details. Their friendly service with a smile showed sincere effort, but as a Japanese guest staying at a Japanese Ryokan, I felt I would have been more reassured if assisted by Japanese staff. This was my first disappointment. Regarding the meals, I noticed that the rice was dry, there were stains on the glasses, and some dishes were lukewarm or cold. I felt that having even one hot dish would have left a better impression. On the other hand, I was satisfied with the Onsen and the cleanliness of the Room. Thank you very much. Although I am a Diamond member, there were no benefits provided. Normally, I believe there should be some perks included.

We had a truly luxurious stay.
I stayed for one night as an Accommodation stop during a drive because it caught my interest. Although this Ryokan has many international staff members, everyone was very kind and attentive, and I felt they were well trained. The food was delicious, and I was able to relax without worrying much about other guests. Thank you very much, Kazenomori.

I stayed for one nig...
I stayed for one night and had a comfortable stay. The Shuttle Service was convenient. The Room was spacious and cozy, with all the essential amenities provided. The private bath was a bit small, but acceptable. The lounge had a lovely atmosphere, though it was slightly disappointing that the drink selection was limited. Dinner was safe and straightforward—nothing surprising, but nothing to complain about either. Breakfast was also average. Overall, it was a quiet and relaxing stay, recommended for those who value a spacious Room and a private Onsen.

Visit Again!
A few years ago, I stayed here and was captivated by the comfort of the facility, the delicious meals, and above all, the excellent quality of the hot spring water. This year, I visited again. Beds have been introduced in all rooms, and the rooms have been updated to a beautiful Japanese-modern style, creating an even more relaxing space. This is an accommodation I want to visit every year.

I searched for various accommodations this time, and I am very glad I chose this one. The meals were extremely satisfying, and the onsen had a smooth texture that felt wonderful. The staff's service was polite and heartfelt. I would love to stay here again next time.

The private open-air bath in the room was exceptional.
The Room includes both an open-air bath and an indoor bath, allowing you to enjoy them as many times as you like. The water was slightly silky and felt wonderful. The meat, fish, vegetables, and everything else were delicately seasoned and absolutely delicious. Thank you very much!

Thank you for your recent visit.
I stayed for one night on June 12. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made me feel at ease. The room was comfortable and lovely, but what impressed me the most was the quality of the Onsen. The silky smooth water was incredibly soothing, and I could also relax in the private bath in my room. At the lounge, I enjoyed free drinks and snacks while admiring views of Mount Yufu—a truly luxurious experience. The meals were absolutely satisfying in both taste and variety. If I have another chance, I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

The Room and the bath were wonderful.
The detached room with a private open-air bath was ideal, offering a well-protected private space. The room had been renovated and featured a modern atmosphere that felt very relaxing. As mentioned in the reviews, the bathwater was silky smooth, and I noticed its skin-beautifying effects the next morning! The meal portions were just right for me and tasted delicious. At first glance, it might seem insufficient for men, but my husband seemed satisfied as well. Next time, I’d like to try staying in a slightly larger room.

We had a relaxing time as a couple.
We stayed at the accommodation to spend a relaxing time as a couple. The room was a detached unit with an open-air bath, very quiet and peaceful. We could enjoy the view of Mount Yufu without being disturbed by surrounding noises, allowing us to have a calm and serene time. The complimentary drinks in the refrigerator were also appreciated. The onsen had silky smooth water that felt amazing, and we found ourselves soaking in it multiple times. For dinner, the main dishes were seasonal local fish sashimi and Oita Wagyu sukiyaki. From appetizers to dessert, every dish was well-balanced and delicious. The use of fresh local ingredients in season made for perfectly portioned meals that left us fully satisfied. Breakfast was also very tasty. Overall, this is an elegant accommodation where you can relax at your own pace. We would love to visit again during another season!

Have the Yufuin hot springs all to yourself.
The renovated room, which retains features such as the Yukimi Shoji that allows you to view the garden, is spacious and comfortable. The open-air bath connected to the indoor bath is available at any time, allowing you to enjoy the Yufuin hot spring water all to yourself, which was fantastic. I also used the Onsen in the large communal bath, but unfortunately, the water was not flowing and was lukewarm. When I asked the staff later, they apologized, explaining that it had indeed been turned off. I was grateful for their explanation, and since there were foreign guests as well, I hope they were able to accommodate those who entered later. The dinner included a sashimi platter with thick and fresh slices of Seki Aji, and the final dessert was a petite cake instead of the usual fruit found in kaiseki, which was good for women. The breakfast featured rice cooked in a traditional pot and a local dish called Dango-jiru, which was hearty and filling from the morning. In addition to Japanese staff, there were also foreign staff members, all of whom were kind and provided courteous service. Thank you very much.

It was disappointing.
I chose this place because of the good reviews, but honestly, I was disappointed. First, when I booked through the site, I requested additional towels, but a few days before my stay, I received a voicemail saying, "You will be charged for additional towels beyond 2 bath towels and 1 face towel per person." Upon arrival, I found 2 face towels in the bathroom. There were no paper towels or mini towels for the bathroom, just one? Even though they have an onsen in the room, only one towel per person?? I want to dry myself with a fresh towel after a bath, but one isn't enough. I reluctantly brought several towels from home, which increased my luggage and laundry. The bath had the smooth water quality as per the reviews, which was very nice, but the bath itself was small. The outdoor bath was surrounded by a screen, so there was no view, defeating the purpose of an outdoor bath. There was no roof, and it was raining, but I went in anyway, getting soaked by the cold rain. The toilet was an old manual type that you don't see much these days. I was looking forward to the lounge, but when I went, there were only 4 types of cold tea, some undrinkable gin-like alcohol, a coffee machine, and nuts. The charm of relaxing in the lounge was lost without any juice, beer, or sweets, which was disappointing. The food was delicious, and the water quality was excellent, which is a shame. I won't be repeating my stay. If it were a budget accommodation, it would be understandable, but it's not cheap, so I would like the towel service and lounge to match the price level.

Not recommended for those who don't want to regret.
It was overall terrible for an accommodation priced at 100,000 yen for two people in a special room. 1. The room smelled moldy the moment we entered (especially the bedroom, and I still can't stop coughing even after returning home). 2. The view from the open-air bath showed nothing. 3. Despite heavy rain, no umbrellas were provided in the room, so we got wet on our way to the dining area and public bath. 4. The food was not tasty at all: - There was nothing edible among the appetizers. - The chicken was dry, and the soup served at breakfast was lukewarm. 5. Amenities were not prepared properly (e.g., no cotton swabs). 6. The water from the room's water server was lukewarm. 7. Poor signal reception; even with Wi-Fi connected, it was too weak to watch videos properly. 8. The TV remote control did not work (possibly due to dead batteries or malfunction). 9. Stains on the sofa made it too dirty to sit on. I have stayed at several high-end ryokans in Kyushu before but have never experienced such a terrible accommodation like this one. I regret not checking more reviews when I found this place last minute before booking it. I hope others won't face similar experiences here. Although I don't want to give even one star, I'll say that only the hot spring quality felt smooth and good as a positive point.
