    Disappointing breakfast.

I stayed here to attend KYOTOGRAPHIE (Kyoto International Photography Festival). With venues spread across the city, this Hotel is in an area with great access but not overly crowded, and I really like it for its atmosphere and Facility (this was my second stay). This time was also very good, but for some reason I noticed that the Room desk was badly scratched—almost as if someone had scraped the surface with a box cutter or something. It didn’t cause any real inconvenience, but since everything else is so well maintained, it felt odd. Also, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful last time, but unfortunately it was disappointing this time.

    I felt sad.

There was partially eaten chocolate left in the refrigerator, and the sink had no soap refill. Even when I contacted the front desk (via WhatsApp), it took several minutes to get a response, which made me anxious. In the initial response, it felt like they did not view the cleaning issue as a serious mistake. There was also no mention of the delay in responding. I do appreciate that, as a final measure, they changed my Room. In the new Room, the hot water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, making it difficult to wash my hands (the cold water flow was sufficient; only the hot water flow was extremely low). At checkout, after being told everything was complete, I was called back. When I asked what it was about, they said it was nothing and apologized. It left me feeling unsettled until the very end. I had been really looking forward to this stay, so I felt sad.

Both the building and the Room were stylish and relaxing. I liked that there was no TV, but the radio also had no reception. I would have appreciated at least a Facility where guests can listen to music.\nAlso, there was a little dust in the corners of the table and on the window frame. Since there is no TV or similar, you tend to notice the Room more closely, so I hope you will pay attention to this.

I had a quiet and relaxing stay.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The Room was stylish and provided a calm atmosphere, and the absence of a TV allowed me to relax and escape from daily life. Although it was a shower-only Room without a bathtub, the water pressure was excellent, so there was no inconvenience. The meals were extremely delicious, and all the staff were kind and attentive. In particular, the restaurant staff checked in to see if I needed anything, offering very pleasant service. I would love to stay here again.

Second stay at this accommodation, and it was a hit!

The room I stayed in last time was too dark and made me feel uneasy, so I thought I wouldn't return. However, the lounge's ambiance and the stylish artworks displayed in the gallery drew me back for a second stay. This time, I was very satisfied with a bright and spacious Room that felt safe and comfortable! It seems there are noticeable differences in room layouts and interior designs. Breakfast had some changes compared to last time but was still delicious as always... I had the luxury of enjoying my meal while admiring works by my favorite artist, Daido Moriyama—a delightful coincidence. I would love to stay again!

    It was an unprecedented experience.

【Positive Points】 - The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. - The chic atmosphere and art within the accommodation were appealing. 【Negative Points】 - The room conditions (twin with bathtub) we reserved were changed on the day to a double with only a shower. - An opened bottle of water was left in the refrigerator. - The bathroom sink was clogged. Before check-in, we were informed that "due to a system error, the room had been changed," but as a result, the conditions that led us to complete the reservation were not met. Despite wanting to avoid having only a shower during the cold New Year season, there was no sufficient alternative offered, leaving us no choice but to accept this change for the hotel's convenience. At check-in, while there was an apology, it felt perfunctory and lacked sincerity. Furthermore, upon entering our room, we found an opened bottle of water left in the refrigerator—a clear oversight indicating that cleaning checks are not functioning properly. Not only did we fail to stay in our reserved room as promised, but encountering traces of previous guests is an unacceptable experience for any hotel guest. These incidents raise serious doubts about whether the quality of service provided—including cleaning standards, customer service attitude, and management—justifies its cost. While its exterior appearance and concept may be attractive at first glance, they hold little value if actual operations do not meet expectations. What should have been an enjoyable stay ended with disappointment as merely "a hotel that's all about appearances."

A space you'll want to visit every day.

It felt like staying in an art gallery. The atmosphere was stylish and serene. Despite other guests being present, it was surprisingly quiet. The highlight was the breakfast—it was delicious! I already want to have it again. The staff were kind and attentive, making for a wonderful stay.

There is no TV, but ...

There is no TV, but for those who wish to enjoy a quiet stay in Kyoto, this is an ideal choice. Although we didn't have the chance to try lunch or dinner this time, the delicious meals at the restaurant, including breakfast and coffee, are delightful highlights. The room allows precise temperature adjustments, and for coffee enthusiasts, the fine-spout kettle and heat-resistant cups provide a perfect setup for brewing exceptional coffee.

    Wonderful stay in June!

I thoroughly enjoyed the room provided, and the breakfast was superb! It would be great to have more options for variety during a 5-night stay. A special mention to one thoughtful female staff member at breakfast who went the extra mile by providing a separate spoon for yogurt instead of assuming a soup spoon would suffice—it's these small details that truly stand out! Thank you, Node Hotel staff, for leaving such a positive impression. Also, the Korean staff member speaks excellent English, making communication seamless. Thanks again for everything!

The location of the Hotel is difficult to find.

The Hotel had no signboard or visible signage, and the only flag with the Hotel name was so worn out that it was unreadable. I wandered around for about 30 minutes trying to find the location, eventually checking in at night. Although I vaguely remembered the location, my phone battery died, leaving me unable to use Google Maps under the cold night sky—it was a terrible experience. While aiming for style is fine, this level of inconvenience is unacceptable. The Room was dimly lit, and all informational text was too small to read comfortably for seniors with presbyopia. I hope future designs prioritize basic universal design principles like accessibility and hospitality before focusing on aesthetics. It feels like self-indulgence otherwise.

    The environment was ...

The environment was quiet and peaceful, and the convenient location was excellent. However, there were some disappointing aspects. Firstly, the smell in the Room was the most disappointing issue. It resembled the odor of inadequately washed linens, which filled the entire Room. Since a deodorizing machine was still placed in the Room upon entry, it seemed that Hotel staff were aware of this issue. If so, I believe they should have informed guests beforehand. Having stayed at many Hotels, including affordable Business Hotels, this was my first experience with such an unpleasant smell in a Room. After opening all windows upon entering, most of the odor dissipated within 3–4 hours; perhaps windows were not opened during cleaning. Additionally, I noticed significant dust on clothing brushes and hanger racks. Furthermore, while there was a soap dish at the sink area, there was no soap or hand soap provided—this caused inconvenience. Breakfast tasted good overall; however, baguettes served were overly dry to a point beyond rusks and difficult to eat. The staff provided excellent service with pleasant attitudes throughout my stay; perhaps this heightened my sense of disappointment regarding these issues even more.

    Excellent

We used the Anniversary Plan this time, and it turned out to be a truly memorable and wonderful stay. The dinner was very delicious, and we were deeply moved by the surprise celebration from all the staff. Thank you so much. The Room was very stylish and quiet, allowing us to relax peacefully, and it was thoroughly cleaned for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was as delicious as last time, and we really enjoyed it. The lovely bouquet is still blooming beautifully at home. It was our first time using an Anniversary Plan at a Hotel, and we are so glad we did. Thank you for everything! We will definitely use your services again in the future!

    Always perfect

It's comfortable and the coffee is delicious, making it my regular property. However, since it's concrete, when staying for multiple nights in the room, the noise from cleaning around 10:30 to 15:00 is bothersome and makes it difficult to sleep.

Stylish! But the Room is dark and scary.

A simple Business Hotel has been stylishly renovated. The Room is very compact, but the bathroom is glass-walled and open, so I didn't feel cramped. Not having a TV wasn't particularly inconvenient, but the Room is just too dark. Therefore, working in the Room is not possible. I saw people opening their laptops in the lounge, and I understood why. The lighting seems to be styled like an overseas Hotel, which makes it dark, but the quietness makes the motor noise echo in the Room, and there was a mood that something might be there, so I was nervous until I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a lovely lounge where you can also enjoy art, which earns high Points, but for a second visit... the staff is moderately friendly and comfortable, but the darkness and mood of the Room make me hesitate.

I unexpectedly enjoyed a wonderful Hokan time.

While searching for a Stays for attending a seminar, I found a very affordable Plan and have been staying here since last month. Since it's not for sightseeing, I reserved a single Room thinking "as long as it's convenient for transportation and I can sleep comfortably." However, this month, I was upgraded to a Room. It's a wonderful Room with a spacious bathtub with a washing area and an open atmosphere with a full glass window next to the bed. It was actually the very Room I had been thinking, "I really want to stay in this Room..." so I was thrilled and excited. You can have a welcome drink at the restaurant on the 1st floor, but since I checked in late and went out for dinner, by the time I returned, the restaurant was bustling with young customers, and it wasn't a quiet atmosphere for tea. Since I was able to spend time in a lovely Room, I requested to have the drink in the Room, and they kindly obliged. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy a leisurely post-dinner coffee time in the beautiful Room. Afterwards, I relaxed and warmed up in the spacious and chic bath, and fell asleep thinking "happy, happy." (There is a bathrobe-style nightgown, but since I didn't feel comfortable using it last month, I brought pajamas from home.) As others have written, breakfast offers a variety of delicious items in small portions, allowing you to enjoy just the right amount, and I felt very energized from the morning. Regarding the art, which is a selling point of the Hotel, I'm not very knowledgeable, but it's well-balanced in a calm atmosphere, not too overwhelming, and allows you to enjoy a moderate sense of the extraordinary. (However, I felt that the large photo of a woman in a leotard (?) tied with a rope next to the restaurant counter, which I assume is an art piece, was not very pleasant to look at while eating breakfast.) The staff have a calm demeanor and interact with a good sense of distance, which helped ease my mind that had been busy and hectic throughout the week. I think this is one of the charms of node Hotel. Unexpectedly, I was able to spend a relaxing time in a very nice Room, and I was completely refreshed. I express my heartfelt gratitude.
