This is my second time.
I stayed in February, and as soon as I got home I made a Reservation for June. Last time was Nadeshiko, and this time it was Tsutsuji. The Tsutsuji Room is a maisonette, with a spacious cypress bath on the first floor. The bath was wonderfully relaxing. I had been looking forward to the meals because they were even better than expected last time. Once again, everything was delicious and very satisfying. This is an Accommodation that makes you want to try every Room, and enjoy the cuisine again in different seasons.

Last time I stayed in the maisonette Azalea Room, but going downstairs to use the toilet was inconvenient, so this time I stayed in the Suoh Room on the first floor (with a cypress bath). Since it is a traditional house, I knew in advance that noise from the second floor would carry, but I chose this Room because I liked the cypress bath. However, as expected, footsteps and other sounds from upstairs bothered me. I woke up to the noise the next morning. It wasn’t extremely loud, and I think what feels noisy varies from person to person, but next time I will choose a second-floor Room. After arrival, they provided Shuttle Service to the large public bath at their sister property Kirara Shokichi, and I was happy to enjoy the Onsen. It was also nice that we could have sake, coffee, snacks, and more in the lobby. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, though I felt my previous stay’s meals were even better. I would like to visit again if I have another opportunity. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Wonderful hospitality
We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. It is conveniently located, within walking distance of sightseeing spots. While there is no Onsen on-site, we were able to use the Onsen at an affiliated Hotel, and Shuttle Service was provided. The Room had been nicely renovated with plenty of wood, creating a warm atmosphere. The meals were thoughtfully prepared, and we enjoyed them very much. We would definitely like to stay again.

It was a very cozy Accommodation with a warm, comforting atmosphere. The staff’s friendly smiles made us feel welcome, and even on our first stay we could easily ask anything, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. The food was delicious, and the tableware was lovely as well. It made me want to try every Room. Thank you very much.

Was it to your satisfaction?
This time, it was a trip for three people including a friend. My friend was also very satisfied and repeatedly mentioned how delicious the meals were. I realized I had forgotten something on the train, but it arrived the next day. Thank you for your extra effort and assistance!

A Long-Awaited Visit to Ako
Arrived at the accommodation worried about the parking location due to bad weather, but felt relieved to find a parking lot right in front. Checked in while enjoying a salted sweet bun. The room was on the second floor and of decent size. Although it was an old-style house, it had been renovated for comfortable living. Shuttle service to Shokichi was also provided. As with many facilities these days, the quality of toothbrushes was poor. However, the bath was spacious and equipped with reheating and automatic temperature maintenance functions, making it very comfortable. The meals were delicious as per reviews; however, the miso soup with sea bream at breakfast seemed over-processed to remove fishiness, resulting in no flavor from the sea bream in the soup. Overall though, it was a tasty meal experience. Recently I’ve been taking road trips just for staying at accommodations; this time I visited Kakeiji Temple nearby for the first time—it was great! Quite some time ago, I stayed at Yuyake Koyake and Shokichi as well—turns out they are sister establishments!

Relaxing Accommodation
I stayed in the Tsutsuji Maisonette Room. Since it is a traditional house, footsteps on the upper floor can be heard below. If other guests are staying on the second floor, it might be quite noticeable, so I plan to choose this maisonette type or a room on the second floor for my next stay. There is no large public bath, but I was able to use the baths at Kirara Shokichi, which was great. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious and satisfying with sufficient portions. I wanted to use the café, but it closed at 4 PM, so I couldn't make it in time. The next morning, checkout was at 10 AM and the café opened an hour later at 11 AM, so I couldn't wait and had to skip it again. One issue was that the toilet mat seemed like it had been used by previous guests from the day before; this felt unpleasant. It would be better not to have a mat at all. Another issue was that voicemail messages were spoken too softly and quickly, making them very hard to understand—please consider improving this. Thank you for your hospitality; I hope to visit again if given another opportunity!

Repeat
This was my third stay with my mother, and this time we stopped by Akashi to enjoy Akashiyaki and stroll through the shopping street before checking in around 3 PM. As always, we enjoyed the Onsen at our sister Ryokan, Shokichi. Watching the sea with a faint scent of the ocean while spotting fish jumping was truly memorable. Why a third visit? It's because of the delicious meals at Kariya Ryokan Q that keep us coming back!

Accommodation for a Special Treat
An unexpectedly delightful accommodation that left a lasting impression. To put it simply, it felt like an old-fashioned guesthouse recreated in a renovated traditional Japanese house. The entire town was clean and left a positive impression as well. Since we happened to be the only guests, we enjoyed an extra luxurious experience. Meals were served at the perfect timing after being warmed up on-site, and they were absolutely delicious. Having stayed at various accommodations before, this one has joined the list of places I’d love to visit again. Regarding average ratings for rooms and amenities: - The room wear felt somewhat worn out (possibly reused within the chain), and there were no yukata (pajamas). - The room key was difficult to use (though we got used to it by the end of our stay). - On a particularly windy day, the windows shook considerably due to gaps; while understandable, inserting paper helped stabilize them—perhaps some measures could be provided for such days. Even so, this is an accommodation where I’d want to say “I’m back” if given another opportunity!

Calmness, cozy, moderate luxury.
The perfect environment for a quiet stay at a tranquil Stays. Located about a 10-minute walk from Banshu-Ako Station, this Property is right next to the magnificent Hanaokaji Temple with its stunning ceiling tiger. The exterior resembles a long and narrow old folk house, similar to recent folk house restaurants. Entering with that image in mind, you ascend to the lobby where modern and stylish furnishings match the old building, leading to a small yet elegant courtyard visible beyond. It was an intriguing feeling of being both excited and calm at the same time. Our Room this time was "Ginsyu" for two people; passing through sliding doors from the lobby and climbing steep narrow stairs typical of townhouses led us into a Room with an atmosphere akin to both log houses and old folk houses. The area around the bed wasn't spacious but sufficient enough. You could view Hanaokaji Temple from the window with its courtyard below—a luxurious yet not overly extravagant scenery that was delightful. Sitting on the sofa facing directly towards it allowed one to gaze outside while enjoying wood scents leisurely. The water facilities were somewhat Hotel-standard without any inconvenience; rather impressed by how earthen walls absorbed splashes of water effectively—though we didn't use it this time—the bath itself appeared ordinarily spacious & clean. Despite staying during cold seasons, natural wooden floors felt warm without any chilliness whatsoever; heating worked better than expected alongside having humidifier-equipped air purifiers which alleviated concerns regarding comfort issues stemming from older buildings' origins. We were shuttled over for baths at sister Property Shokichi featuring ocean views (with relatively ordinary appearance). Even though only utilizing their baths there were complimentary post-bath ice creams as well as sake tasting & snacks available freely—and indeed male bath offered undeniable ocean views! Perhaps due entering slightly earlier via Shuttle Service fewer people present allowing full enjoyment—luxurious indeed! Returning back after dinner—or before perhaps—it’s highly recommended seeing exterior appearance once darkened: light leakage exudes utmost sensefulness! Meals featured wonderful local delicacies thoroughly enjoyed throughout including three types sake tasting course—all possessing remarkable aromas served generously beyond typical tastings’ expectations—and every dishware piece used couldn’t help but catch attention each being superbly chosen providing visual tactile gustatory delight many times over usual experiences ensuring luxury persisted till meal’s end uninterruptedly. With limited capacity overall no need worrying about other guests enabling peaceful restful stays possible easily achieved here too! Breakfast offered simple yet luxurious contentment allowing leisurely indulgence before proceeding onto next itinerary step comfortably thereafter… Additionally owner(?)’s chair selection tastefulness also added touch luxury (laughs)
