Dinner was delicious.
The room was spacious, clean, and wonderfully comfortable. This time, I chose a package that included a Japanese dinner, and it was definitely the right choice. There are plenty of restaurants in the airport, but I was very happy to enjoy a delicious meal in a relaxed, elegant setting. If my hazy memory serves me right, breakfast may have been better before.

The room and dinner were wonderful.
I stayed in a Superior Room for two nights. The spacious 43-square-meter room was very quiet, and the comfortable bed made it easy to relax. On the first evening, I had the dinner course at Shimogamo Saryo. The Kyoto-style cuisine was delicious and gentle on the stomach. The staff were friendly, and I had a lovely time. For my first breakfast, I had the full buffet at Tateru Yoshino. Personally, I felt the selection had become a little limited. The only fruit available was in fruit punch, and there was just one type of curry. Nothing particularly appealed to me, so I kept it simple with salad and sausages. On the second evening, I had the seasonal tasting menu at Tateru Yoshino. Once again, everything from the appetizers to dessert was delicious and satisfying. My second breakfast was also the full buffet at Tateru Yoshino. The selection was the same as the previous day. Those who look forward to breakfast may find it a little disappointing. Personally, I think a course or set menu would be a better option than the buffet. The room and dinners were wonderful, so I plan to return with my wife next time.

My First Stay at Portom
The room was luxurious, clean, and very comfortable. I was also impressed by how polite and helpful the front desk staff were. When I asked about parking, they kindly arranged for me to park very close to the hotel, explaining that spaces were available that day. This was a great help. As for amenities, I would have appreciated a shower cap, and a wash basin in the bathing area would have been convenient. The breakfast service, however, was disappointing. They may have been short-staffed, as there seemed to be only two staff members. No one noticed me when I arrived, so I had to go to the front desk to ask for assistance. The food was also slow to be replenished. When the bread ran out, I asked for more, but it took quite a while, leaving me waiting with my plate in hand. The broth for the dashi chazuke (rice served with broth) also ran out. I requested a refill, but by the time it arrived, my rice had gone cold and had absorbed the small amount of broth I had managed to pour over it. One staff member seemed particularly tired, and the way they cleared the tables felt somewhat careless. I understand that handling everything with just two people must have been difficult, but breakfast plays a major role in the overall hotel experience, so I hope the service will improve. The room and hospitality were excellent, and I would gladly stay again if the breakfast service improves.

A luxurious international hotel
This hotel is worth a trip in its own right. It offers a first-class experience you would never expect inside an airport. The food and service were especially outstanding. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is truly world-class.

A memorable hotel stay
We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my parents’ anniversary. They kindly accommodated our requests during the booking process, including messages, and their pleasant service made us look forward to the stay. The hotel is very spacious, with many highlights. It was clean and had plenty of photogenic spots, making it a wonderful choice for a special occasion. They were also satisfied with the delicious breakfast. However, due to their age, they felt some areas inside the hotel were a bit dark. They also seemed slightly nervous because many of the staff were foreigners. The hot spring was spacious and very nice, but they felt chilled afterward because it was cold; we thought it would be even more appealing if that could be made more comfortable. We also received a congratulatory message from the manager and truly appreciated the warm thoughtfulness.

One of my favorite hotels.
This is my favorite hotel for a truly comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and with delicious dining and hot springs, you can enjoy a complete Hokkaido trip without ever leaving the airport. This time, we had dinner at Shimogamo Saryo. Not only was the food excellent, but the tableware and seasonal touches were thoughtfully chosen as well, and I enjoyed the meal with my husband with genuine delight. Since I tend to overeat in Hokkaido, next time I’d like to use the gym too. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

Open the door and step into another world.
This is an upscale hotel located beyond the international terminal at the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable. Artwork by Katsushika Hokusai and others was displayed throughout, making it feel like staying in a museum. It was great that the baths were available all night from check-in. It was also convenient not having to bring towels from the room. The loungewear came as separate top and bottom pieces, and it was comfortable and easy to wear. I considered buying a set at the shop downstairs, but gave up after seeing the price (too bad). It felt like an indulgent luxury for me, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Thank you very much.

Exquisite French Cuisine
I stayed in early September and was once again impressed by Tateru Yoshino’s cuisine, so I decided to return in late September. This time, the main purpose of my stay was dinner at Tateru Yoshino two nights in a row. With hot springs on site and New Chitose Airport’s shopping area (like a department store food hall) just a short walk away, I decided to splurge and spend my entire trip at the airport. The hotel is spacious and relaxing, and the bath area is large and very clean. Staying at the airport was incredibly fun! As for the Tateru Yoshino dinners I came for: everything was delicate and brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients. Even though it’s French cuisine, the sauces were light, and everything was outstandingly delicious. They are especially good with game meat, and the venison was also light and delicious. I truly enjoyed two wonderful nights of great food! Overall, my stay was almost perfect, but there was one disappointing issue. The hotel itself isn’t to blame, but someone brought a suitcase into the bath area. It wasn’t taken into their room or left with bell services—just an unidentified suitcase. After my bath, seeing a suitcase that had clearly been brought in from outside sitting right in front of the lockers made me very uncomfortable. When I contacted the front desk, staff came immediately, but no one claimed it. There could be a risk of unauthorized entry or hidden-camera filming, so I would like suitcases to be prohibited in the bath area. At one hotel where I stayed in Korea, they explained at check-in that bringing smartphones into the changing room would result in a 20,000 won fine—and I had to sign an agreement. I hope similar rules can be implemented to some extent in Japan as well.

I previously stayed ...
I previously stayed here at the height of the pandemic. The rooms, facilities, and staff service are still excellent. I know it is not fair to compare with that time, but I was disappointed by how much the quality of the restaurant breakfast had declined. It was crowded enough to warrant scheduled breakfast times, the food was not replenished quickly enough, and the taste was underwhelming. The wine pairing at dinner did not feel worth the price either. Guests who arrived after us were served before us, and there were plenty of other disappointments. If we return, we will book a room without meals.

Mother and Daughter’s First Trip to Hokkaido
I stayed here for the first time on a trip to Hokkaido with my daughter. For our last night, we wanted to stay near the airport, so we chose this hotel. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and it was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The breakfast buffet was also calm and unhurried, so we could enjoy it at our own pace—very satisfying! I’d love to stay here again on the last day of our next trip to Hokkaido.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations!
I stayed on the last day of Silver Week. Since it’s a hotel inside the airport, the price was a bit higher for the season, so I hesitated—but it had great reviews, so I booked it. I’m very satisfied with my stay. When I arrived, I was amazed by the luxurious, upscale interior. Some say it feels like an art museum, and that’s exactly right. The room was also spacious and very stylish. I didn’t get to go this time, but I’d love to try the on-site restaurant, Hotel de Yoshino. It’s a hotel that feels worth visiting just for this place alone. Highly recommended.

Highly satisfied
My family and I stayed for one night on the last day of Silver Week. We stayed in a Superior Twin during Golden Week, and this time we booked two rooms under the complimentary Junior Suite upgrade plan. I had mistakenly reserved a Double, but they kindly changed it to a Twin at check-in, which was very helpful. The Superior room was already spacious and relaxing, but the Junior Suite also had enough space inside the entrance to easily store a large airport luggage cart. It also featured a large walk-in closet. The bedding was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains were excellent—I slept soundly until morning. The hot spring bath was clean and luxurious, and it never felt crowded no matter when we went, so it was very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious as well, with consistently high quality across everything. It was my family’s first stay here, and they were impressed with every aspect. We would love to stay here again on the last day of our future trips to Hokkaido.

The breakfast menu does not change even for consecutive stays, so it gets repetitive.
As it’s a luxury hotel, I expected they would at least make omelets in front of you for breakfast, but everything was already prepared. I was surprised that the menu was exactly the same for consecutive nights. The rice and rice porridge dried out over time and didn’t look appetizing. Is this really what you get for this price? Even the café coffee seemed to be made by a machine, and I felt coffee at Tully’s, Starbucks, or McDonald’s tastes better. The room amenities were excellent, but it was disappointing that I couldn’t see the planes taking off and landing.

A Hotel You’ll Want to Return To
The staff noticed that I couldn’t drink the welcome drink due to allergies and promptly offered an alternative, which made me very happy. The cookies I received as a Diamond benefit were also delicious. Room cleanliness—especially the bathtub, which can sometimes be dirty even at luxury hotels in Tokyo—was excellent and spotless. There were also two bath mats, and I felt this is a wonderful hotel with great attention to detail. Next time, I’d love to have dinner at the hotel and enjoy a relaxing late check-out with the Diamond benefit.

Highly recommended hotel.
The room was wonderful, and we truly appreciated the attentive care from the staff—highly recommended. The hotel also has a calm atmosphere where you can relax. If I had to mention one minor point, the lighting is quite dim to maintain that ambiance, so it can be a little hard for me or older guests to see and find their way around (laugh). Even so, it’s an excellent hotel.

The in-room bathroom was disappointing.
Overall, I think it is a good place to stay. However, there was one issue. The shower water pressure in the bathroom was weak, so washing my hair took a long time. It was also difficult to adjust the hot water temperature smoothly. Since there is no bathroom heater, I wondered whether it would be cold in winter. I have stayed at many high-end accommodations, so I do not think this is just subjective. The bathroom was nicely separated from the toilet, so it was disappointing that the shower did not match that otherwise good setup.

The Kyoto cuisine at Shimogamo Saryo was delicious.
Dinner was the “Seasonal Course” at Shimogamo Saryo. The Kyoto cuisine was gentle on the body and delicious. We dined there twice, and thank you for changing the entire course menu for us both times. The staff were also friendly, which was great. One disappointment was that there was a staff member at the front desk who could not correctly understand requests made in Japanese.

I was able to relax in a comfortable bed.
I stayed one night in a Superior Room. The 43 m² room was spacious and very relaxing. It was very quiet, and the comfortable bed made it easy to unwind. From the window, I enjoyed watching JASDF F-15s take off and land. For dinner, I had the “Seasonal Menu Dégustation” at Tateru Yoshino. As always, it was delicious and very satisfying. Breakfast was a full buffet. It wasn’t bad, but it felt a little lacking. I would have liked to have the option of Shimogamo Saryo’s Japanese breakfast or an American breakfast.

It was excellent!
A beautifully designed modern Japanese-style building and an impressive sense of space. Japanese aesthetics can be felt throughout, and it was a wonderfully comfortable stay—spacious yet deeply relaxing. The welcome service at CAFE SKY LIBRARY was excellent, and I was truly impressed by the staff’s understated hospitality. The large public bath and sauna were also very comfortable, allowing me to unwind and recover from travel fatigue at a leisurely pace. Getting to the airport was smoother than expected thanks to the moving walkways. I even had time to enjoy shopping at the airport early the next morning. When traveling in Hokkaido, this is a hotel I would definitely want to stay at as my final stop.

We had a wonderful stay.
My flight was delayed, so I checked in late, but I still managed to enjoy a welcome drink at the café just before service ended. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was also very quiet, as it was on the international terminal side. I was able to relax and unwind. Thank you for a lovely stay. I would love to stay again.

It would be even better if cleansing oil, toner, and lotion were provided.
When you enter the Hotel elevator lobby, it feels luxurious and smells great—it really lifts your mood. However, the hallway was a bit too dark and made me feel uneasy lol. I used the Room bath, but there were no amenities like cleansing oil or toner, so it would have been even better if those were provided. There was body cream, though. The blackout curtains kept the Room pitch-dark even in the morning, so I slept really well—amazing. It was also nice that there was a Bluetooth speaker in the Room. In the morning I chose to eat in my Room: I had bread I’d bought at Lawson with coffee brewed by what seemed to be a barista at the bar counter, then relaxed while absentmindedly watching planes through the window. It was absolutely fantastic. If you stay at this Hotel, I recommend spending as much time as possible in your Room.

The facilities are excellent.
I stayed in a Superior Room for one night. The spacious 43-square-meter room offered plenty of space to relax. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I also enjoyed a relaxing soak in the room’s bathtub with the bath salts provided by the hotel. I had dinner and breakfast at Tateru Yoshino. The full-course French dinner was delicious once again. I appreciated the quiet, leisurely breakfast. The hotel’s signature curry was delicious. Once again, I had a relaxing and satisfying stay.

I’ve stayed here several times. I requested a complimentary upgrade when booking, but nothing was mentioned at check-in, and no upgrade was provided. I recall something similar happening before. The view wasn’t very good this time, so I should have requested a higher floor.

I was truly impressed.
Due to an unexpected bereavement, I had planned to stay with my husband, but my daughters went instead. They were truly impressed by the meals, the Onsen, and the Room, and thanked me very much.

Dust mite allergy and influenza infection
I was satisfied with the meals and the cleanliness of the room, but the bed mattress felt damp and made me itchy, so I slept with my gown over the duvet. I was told that measures had been taken for dust mite allergies, but... I also received an oil massage inside the Hotel, but there was only one therapist and they were coughing throughout. They apologized, but as expected, I developed a high fever starting the day before yesterday. After seeing a doctor, I was diagnosed with Type A influenza and have been restricted from going out this week. I have serious concerns about how Max Slim manages its staff. I hope these two issues will be improved. I have stayed here several times, but this time my impression was terrible.

For an early morning flight.
I chose this Hotel because my flight was early in the morning, but the Facility and the staff service were excellent—I wished I could have stayed one more night to fully enjoy the Hotel and the airport. Having direct access to the airport is a huge plus, and the Onsen and gym are also fantastic! Highly recommended!

I booked this hotel ...
I booked this hotel with high hopes, drawn by its direct connection to the international terminal and its large hot spring bath, which is reserved for hotel guests and seemed likely to offer a relaxing experience. The international terminal is accessible directly from the hotel elevator, while the domestic terminal is about a 10-minute walk away. Many of the guests appeared to be international visitors, and the hotel’s decor had a distinctly Japanese feel. Our room offered close-up views of planes taking off and landing—a real treat for aviation enthusiasts. Despite being so close to the runway, we heard no aircraft noise at all. The bed was also large and comfortable. As for the hot spring bath, I initially wondered whether bathing etiquette might be an issue given the number of international guests, but there were almost no problems. However, when I visited early in the morning, I found a pair of hotel slippers left in the washing area. They had not been there the night before, so it seemed someone had walked into the washing area without removing them during the night. While this was clearly a guest’s responsibility, it did leave me wondering about overnight cleaning in the bathing facilities. The breakfast buffet at Tateru Yoshino was very satisfying. They also apparently offer afternoon tea, which requires a reservation, and I would like to try it next time.
