    Simple and comfortable

    The room was simple and functional. Nothing fancy, but it was comfortable. The Onsen was spacious, so it wasn’t crowded and I could relax. Both breakfast and dinner didn’t have a large number of dishes, but everything was delicious. I would have appreciated a few more soft drink options.

    In-room air conditioning Facility

    Arriving from the Tokyo area on a bad-weather day in late August, the Room felt cold. When I asked the front desk, I was told that heating was not available. The common areas were comfortable. The air conditioner in the Room was a portable floor unit; I turned it off because it was cold, but when running, I felt it was noisy.

    This is our third st...

    This is our third stay. The Room, the bath, and the entire Facility are always clean and very comfortable. We enjoy both dinner and breakfast—they are delicious. Every year, after visiting our family grave in our hometown, we stay here. This Accommodation makes our family feel, “Alright—let’s do our best so we can come back again next year.”

    You can enjoy a great view of Mt. Myoko.

    The view of Mt. Myoko from the Room is amazing. The visitor center across the street is also a great place to spend some time. As for the meals, for older guests, we would like a wider variety of pickles.

    Don’t judge a book by its cover.

    It looks like a training facility from the outside, but inside it was a clean Hotel. The room was spacious and relaxing, with Wi-Fi, a phone charger, and plenty of outlets—very convenient. Bath towels and face towels were also placed in a tote bag; I was impressed by the thoughtful attention to detail. In addition to the guest rooms, there is a large, clean free space where you can unwind. From there, you can see the towering and magnificent Mt. Myoko. We really enjoyed both dinner and breakfast served buffet-style—they were delicious. The bath area is also spacious and clean. The Accommodation Fee was reasonable, and overall it was a very satisfying one-night stay. After an early-morning walk, the Hotel staff spoke to us casually as well, which warmed our hearts. Our family of three in our 70s was able to make wonderful travel memories. Thank you very much.

    Meals: Dinner had a ...

    Meals: Dinner had a limited number of dishes, but each one felt high quality. I enjoyed it more than having an unnecessarily large variety. For breakfast, I would have liked to see a bit more local produce and ingredients. Rooms: There were many families with children (including us), and the sound of kids running could be heard in the room. We didn’t mind much, but guests without children or those sensitive to noise might find it a little bothersome. Amenities: There aren’t many places nearby to shop, so forgetting children’s items in particular could be tough. It might help to provide a reminder in advance and consider selling essential items for families on-site. Overall: Very satisfied overall. Great value for money. I’d like to try staying again in winter.

    It was a great Hotel!

    The exterior retains the charm of its Kanpo Accommodation days, but the interior has been beautifully renovated, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant as well. While the buffet selection wasn't extensive (manageable enough for women to try everything in small portions), every dish was delicious and highly satisfying. The bath facilities were clean and provided a relaxing experience. Since I visited in July, there were fewer guests, which might have contributed to the peaceful environment with no unpleasant experiences or ill-mannered visitors. One minor point—others have mentioned this too—the indoor wear lacked breathability and felt hot; if it were made of cotton, it would be perfect. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I would definitely choose this accommodation again if I visit Myoko in the future!

    Satisfied.

    The provided room wear is not made of cotton, so it feels hot. I stayed in May, but since the heating system was still on, they lent me a fan. The room was hot even with the windows open. The meals and Onsen were excellent.

    Highly recommended for families with children.

    The Japanese-style room was very convenient for families with small children. The room had ice water and a kettle (already boiled, which was thoughtful), showing great attention to detail. The staff were kind and attentive, offering hospitality on par with or even exceeding that of luxury accommodations. The dinner buffet was satisfying in both variety and taste compared to other family-friendly hotels in the same class. However, the kids' room was occupied by what appeared to be teenage sisters, their mother, and grandmother, who were throwing ball pit balls outside the designated area, which was very unpleasant. It would be helpful if the target age for the kids' room could be clearly stated or if occasional monitoring could take place. Additionally, it would be nice to have a space in the bath area for personal items like shampoo bottles brought by guests. Other than these points, it was an excellent accommodation overall. Highly recommended!

    High-quality accommodation

    I stayed during Golden Week and was initially worried as the parking lot seemed surprisingly empty, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise in a good way! The renovations were beautifully done, and while there are some parts that feel a bit old, I had an incredibly comfortable stay. I also saw some reviews mentioning that the dinner options were limited, but each dish was of high quality and absolutely delicious. The staff were very kind and promptly cleared plates during meals. I’d love to visit again during the snow season!

    We hope that the essence of a Japanese property is not lost.

    For many years, I have stayed here every time I go skiing. The Room and the large public bath are always clean, and the staff's service is excellent. However, as the number of inbound group guests increases, there have been instances of inconsiderate or unsanitary behavior such as talking loudly on the phone while walking around in the restaurant, eating with hands from plates at the buffet, and walking around inside the Hotel (including restaurants) in ski boots. I believe these issues can be resolved by clarifying rules within the restaurant and other areas. Additionally, it was disappointing that due to prioritizing English support, the staff who first greeted us at reception or in restaurants were not Japanese. Knowing that Japanese staff provide excellent service makes it unfortunate not to receive it. While some staff may struggle with English for various reasons, I think overseas tourists would appreciate being greeted with "Ohayou gozaimasu" in Japanese. If communication cannot proceed in Japanese after that point, then someone who speaks English should handle it; however, personally speaking as a Japanese person being greeted with "Good morning" or "See you later" feels lacking in emotional depth. It is a wonderful Hotel with great facilities and staff so I hope it continues to maintain its unique Japanese charm moving forward despite my lengthy comments here—I will definitely stay again next year!

    The staff were very courteous and made my stay comfortable. The smiles and kind words from the cafeteria staff were especially heartwarming, and I would love to return when I go skiing again.
