    I stay at Onsen inns...

    I stay at Onsen inns in Hakone every month, and the private bath here was absolutely outstanding! The meals were delicious, and the rice at breakfast was especially exceptional. Above all, the staff’s hospitality made me feel truly happy. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for kindly providing Shuttle Service from the nearby museum. After arriving at the Accommodation, you served us tea and sweets, and we could really feel your warm hospitality. We also enjoyed the self-service coffee and tea. The meals felt a little light for men, but they were delicious. We were also able to relax and fully enjoy the private open-air bath. Thank you very much.

    The service, meals, ...

    The service, meals, and cleanliness of the Hotel were all excellent. It was my first trip in a while, and I really enjoyed it—thank you! Most of the offering snacks were sweet, so it would have been even better to have some savory options as well! (Since there isn’t a convenience store nearby.)

    The theme is “Smiles.”

    I don’t usually write Reviews because it feels like a hassle, but I felt so good about my stay that I wanted to share. It may sound cheesy, but it reminded me that the foundation of hospitality is a “smile.” Every staff member had such a wonderful smile that it made me smile too. Traveling can be stressful in ways that staying at home isn’t, but your service truly made me feel from the bottom of my heart, “I’m glad I came on this trip.” Sorry if this sounds presumptuous, but above all, it was simply a great experience. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The accommodation exceeded expectations.

    After finishing golf with friends in Sengokuhara, I checked in after 4 PM. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but from the moment I arrived by car, the check-in process and guidance to the Room were smooth. Both the private bath in the Room and the reserved open-air bath were enjoyable. For meals, I had sukiyaki for dinner and a Western-style breakfast, both of which were delightful. The staff's cheerful service made my stay enjoyable. Please continue providing excellent service. I look forward to visiting again!

    This was our first visit as a family. Since Hakone is my wife's hometown, we often visit accommodations that seem promising based on reviews or prior information. Although this was not a new ryokan, we chose it because the reviews were decent, the bathwater seemed good, and the food photos looked appealing. Our impression: while the phone service was excellent and raised our expectations, we felt that we would not return under its current state. First of all, only the large public bath had natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source; both the private open-air baths in rooms and reserved baths used regular heated water, which was quite disappointing. We should have confirmed this about our room's bath beforehand. The large public bath itself was very small and gave off more of a facility-like atmosphere than that of a relaxing ryokan. Regarding meals: perhaps because there wasn’t even mention of a head chef’s name on the menu, overall it didn’t feel like Japanese cuisine prepared by Japanese chefs but rather like Japanese-style dishes served overseas. For example, with sukiyaki—the pot already contained broth (warishita), vegetables, mushrooms topped with meat—and you lighted it yourself to cook at your table. While there wasn’t anything wrong with the meat itself, the broth tasted overly diluted to where it lacked flavor entirely; cooking order for ingredients seemed random too—ruining what could’ve been quality ingredients altogether. Other dishes also didn’t seem entirely prepared within this ryokan kitchen but instead felt mediocre overall—something noticeable especially for Japanese guests though perhaps less so for foreign visitors unfamiliar with authentic standards. As bathing (hot springs) & dining are what I look forward most during stays—it left much disappointment here despite cleanliness being well-maintained inside rooms themselves including fresh-smelling sheets/futons without dampness issues present anywhere noticed either! However structurally speaking corridors/tatami flooring creaked noticeably throughout suggesting aging infrastructure possibly rotting beneath causing uneven sinking spots detracting value relative pricing charged ultimately leaving unfavorable impressions behind unfortunately… In conclusion—not terrible yet far from exceptional amidst abundant alternative options available across Hakone region making recommendations difficult realistically speaking given experiences encountered firsthand personally shared above observations detailed herein comprehensively summarized accordingly fairly balanced manner intended readers alike discerning travelers seeking informed decisions planning future trips ahead wisely thoughtfully considered choices made better outcomes achieved desired     I stayed in the Japa...

    I stayed in the Japanese Luxury Twin. The room was spacious, and the private open-air bath was excellent. However, the walls seemed thin as I could hear children from the neighboring room, so it might be challenging if you're looking for complete silence. As for customer service and hospitality, everything was great. Additionally, I recommend requesting Shuttle Service from Kozuka Iriguchi bus stop as it's an uphill walk. Those with weak legs should take extra care.

    It was my oversight ...

    It was my oversight not to mention my bad knee in the request section, but there were about 30 steps from the road to the entrance, and the interior of the building was far from barrier-free. Inside the room, you had to step down and up to go to the washroom. The women's bath in the large public bath was too hot to even put my feet in, and the bathtub was deep with no handrails, so I, with bad legs, gave up. My husband said the men's bath he entered at the same time was lukewarm, but it was at a suitable temperature the next morning. I decided to take a shower in the room, but there was no hot water, so in the end, I couldn't enjoy the Onsen or the shower. The bed was large and comfortable, and the meals were delicious, so I think it's a good Hotel for those who are healthy and fit.
