The Room was very spacious—almost more space than we knew what to do with, haha. There are multiple air conditioners installed in the Room, so even though it’s large, it stayed cool and comfortable after bathing. From reception and guidance to meal service and checkout, everything was handled by foreign staff members. They chatted with us about Ise-Shima during meals and even took photos for us as we were leaving—everyone was very kind and courteous. To be honest, we didn’t feel the meals were worth the price. Since it seems you can eat at another Facility instead, we recommend doing that.

    First stay in six years

I couldn’t forget this Accommodation with its silky Onsen and both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, so I returned after finally being able to take time off on a weekday. Most of the staff in charge of service were foreigners, and it was hard to understand what they were saying; perhaps due to inexperience, they also lacked energy and smiles, which made me feel concerned. I had been looking forward to the renewed free lounge after seeing it on the website. There was not only beer on tap but also a variety of wines and cocktails, and I enjoyed relaxing there. However, the hors d’oeuvres selection was far from what was shown in the lounge photos on the website: there were few items, they ran out quickly, and unfortunately they were not replenished afterward. Also, since there was only one other party staying besides us, we had requested and confirmed that breakfast times would not overlap. But within less than five minutes of sitting down, a lively group started up in the private room next door, so I couldn’t eat calmly and left early. That said, every dish prepared was very delicious—especially the perfectly cooked white rice. I’m also grateful for the flawless consideration regarding ingredients I cannot eat. Even a bento-style meal would be fine; if all Rooms could have meals served in-room, I think guests could enjoy them quietly and comfortably.

We had a very relaxing stay.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. This was my second stay. The Onsen in the Room is silky and wonderfully relaxing. All the staff were very kind, and I also enjoyed a variety of snacks and drinks in the lounge. I look forward to visiting again.

    Highly recommended!

We were completely satisfied with everything—hospitality, service, and Facility. Highly recommended for those planning a slightly more luxurious trip. This Hotel made one of our wishes come true: a private open-air bath while enjoying an ocean view.

    Golden Week 2026

I had a very pleasant stay from arrival to departure. The staff were attentive, and it was great to see international team members working hard as well. The weather was perfect on the day of check-in, so I enjoyed the wonderful views and relaxed while soaking in the Onsen. The Onsen left my skin feeling smooth, and I was very satisfied. The meals were delicious, with thoughtful use of locally sourced ingredients. For me, the portions felt a little modest, so I would personally appreciate a bit more volume. There were slightly long intervals between courses, but since it was in-Room dining, I understand that can be difficult. I’d love to try the cuisine in a different season as well. It was a quick 1-night, 2-day trip, but it was truly refreshing. Thank you very much. I think I’ll visit again, and I look forward to it.

The Onsen water is brought in from Sakakibara Onsen’s Karayu, and the quality of the spring water is excellent.

Although the Onsen in the Room is not free-flowing, we were able to relax and enjoy it in peace and quiet. In the lounge, there are alcoholic drinks and snacks, and you can also spend time leisurely while enjoying the view. A foreign female staff member assisted us at breakfast, and she seemed to have studied Japan well; her manners were so polite that it felt like being at a traditional Ryokan, which truly impressed us. Breakfast was also very refined, with great care put into each dish, and everything was delicious.

Enjoy the Onsen and beautiful views.

The Room had a great view, and the Onsen water was silky-smooth and wonderful. The service was handled by international staff, and I could tell they were working very hard, but some explanations—such as about the meals—were difficult to understand, which was disappointing considering the Accommodation rate is not cheap. The food was very delicious, and I appreciated their help with allergies and other requests.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here.

Whenever I visit Futami Okitama Shrine, I always stay at this Accommodation. The hot spring water is silky-smooth and the temperature is perfect. The Room is flawless as well. For meals, we had Japanese cuisine at Kisara, and they kindly accommodate our requests every time whenever possible, serving truly delicious, high-quality dishes. Not only Mr./Ms. T in charge but also the head chef comes to greet us despite being busy, so it’s a pleasure to see the faces of those who prepare the food. I’ll be visiting again in May and look forward to staying with you again.

    The Japanese-style dinner is excellent.

We chose the Japanese course dinner, and it was excellent. The sashimi was especially outstanding. The meat was tender and delicious, and the portion size was just right.

It was very good and well worth the price.

We were picked up in an Alphard first—so impressive. After arriving at the Ryokan and getting to our Room, we were very satisfied, but there wasn’t enough explanation on how to use the amenities, and I had to look around for the hair dryer. We didn’t run into other guests at all, and the drinks were free, which was great. Dinner was a course meal served in the Room; it was delicious overall, though a few items were just so-so. The boat platter we ordered for about 10,000 yen was amazing. The spiny lobster sashimi and abalone sashimi were unbeatable. We were able to relax and take our time as a couple. The 45-minute massage course isn’t related to the Ryokan, but it wasn’t good—money wasted. When I contacted them because I couldn’t connect to the free Wi-Fi, they gave me the password, but I wish it had been set up as truly free Wi-Fi from the start. It was also nice that they could make breakfast a little earlier. Other than the meals and explanations, everything was perfect. It became an amazing trip. I’d like to stay again.

    It was a top-tier Accommodation.

We were satisfied with everything—the Room, the view, the meals, and the service. If we could make one request, we would appreciate a handrail at the bathroom entrance for elderly guests.

This accommodation was wonderful for our trip to the Ise area. The view was great, the hospitality from the staff, including foreign staff, was excellent, and the bathwater was silky smooth—I would love to enjoy it again. The only regret is that I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t finish my dinner. I definitely want to visit again.

Accommodation where family time quietly deepens

I stayed with my wife and our two sons, aged 6 and 3. It was a stay following our visit to Ise Jingu Shrine, and I felt that this accommodation truly allowed us to reset both body and mind—a perfectly complete experience down to the very last moment. From the warm welcome upon arrival, the staff's calm demeanor naturally eased our travel fatigue. The moment we entered the room, we were greeted by a breathtaking view through the window that left us speechless. The entire family was instantly captivated by it. The amenities were thoughtfully selected, including Bvlgari shampoo and conditioner, which especially delighted my wife. We first enjoyed a foot bath to slowly relieve our fatigue after visiting the shrine. Afterward, we headed to the lounge—coffee for me, beer for my wife, and juice for the kids. It was wonderful to have a space where each of us could enjoy our time while admiring the same beautiful scenery together as a family. The bath facilities included not only an open-air bath but also an indoor one spacious enough for all of us to bathe together comfortably. What stood out most was how warm it remained on the way to the open-air bath—this unexpected comfort made us want to take multiple dips in its soothing waters. Dining in-room was well-considered; with doors separating it from our main living space, there was no need for concern even with children around. Every dish served was deliciously prepared with care; staff members explained each item thoroughly, enhancing both understanding and enjoyment of every meal course. They also kindly interacted with our children throughout dinner time in such a warm atmosphere—it left quite an impression on all of us. Overall impressions: This ryokan beautifully blends relaxing tranquility with luxurious indulgence seamlessly. A place where adults can unwind effortlessly while children feel at ease too—a truly fulfilling experience without any strain or pretense. Whether you're planning family trips or treating yourself as part of self-rewarding moments—I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional ryokan!

    Smooth and silky skin

Located about 10 minutes from Toba Aquarium, this accommodation offers a serene and relaxing stay. With only a few rooms available, meals were served in the room, allowing us to enjoy the scenery and onsen without leaving our room. The lounge provides light snacks and drinks with a time limit while enjoying breathtaking views. Dinner was a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine, including bread and ramen, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The room was spacious with underfloor heating in the living area and dressing room, as well as plenty of heating appliances throughout the space, ensuring complete comfort even in cold weather. The bath included both indoor and outdoor options with excellent water quality that felt like bathing in beauty serum—leaving our skin smooth like never before. This was truly an exceptional onsen experience! We would love to visit again someday. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality!

I stayed in the main building before, but this time I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay at the annex by the seaside. The food was delicious, and the bath was a smooth Onsen experience.

    This was my fourth v...

This was my fourth visit. This time, the lounge snacks were limited and ran out quickly, which was a bit disappointing. As for the meals, there was no lobster sashimi, and while one portion of the main meat dish was very delicious, the other portion was surprisingly tough to chew. The ramen served was unexpected but absolutely delicious! Regarding POLA amenities—oh? Still on the 6th generation... Even more affordable accommodations offer mini bottles of POLA products, so having single-use pouches here felt a bit underwhelming. However, as always, the room was comfortable with pleasant flooring and cozy underfloor heating. The bathwater left my skin feeling smooth; it’s great that you can warm up in the indoor bath before heading to the open-air bath during colder seasons. Relaxing in the open-air bath while gazing at the sea was truly wonderful—I went in about four times! (It would have been nice to have two bath towels per person even though there’s a dryer available.) I love this accommodation so much that I even requested help with my child’s first birthday rice cake ceremony here. It has always been my top recommendation for accommodations in Tokai region; however, this time there were some aspects that fell short of expectations.

    Thank you for your support.

We stayed at this Accommodation to combine our Ise pilgrimage with our 30th anniversary celebration. We were able to take time off at short notice, and although it was just three days in advance, there happened to be availability and we could make a Reservation. Unfortunately it rained, but that allowed us to relax and spend a quiet time here. The Room was spacious, and the Onsen left our skin feeling smooth—it was wonderful. As we enjoy drinks, we really appreciated the all-inclusive beverage plan. The staff member who guided us to our Room and assisted us during meals was exceptionally attentive, the food was delicious, and we had a truly enjoyable time. It turned into a wonderful anniversary trip. Thank you very much.

We stayed here on the last day of our one-week trip to the Kii Peninsula. This is a review from a couple in their 40s who travel every month. For the price, this accommodation was perfect. It was the best accommodation during our trip. The meals were delicious, the bath was excellent, and above all, the staff treated us exceptionally well! We will definitely visit again! Thank you so much!! - Room Spacious with floor heating, multiple bathrobes and towels provided along with pajamas, and an excellent view—everything was perfect. - Amenities The amenities were so impressive that my wife was moved by them. These thoughtful amenities are delightful and could be considered a unique selling point. - Bath The indoor bath connected to an open-air bath design left us amazed—it allowed us to warm up before heading outside. The tatami flooring added charm as well. The silky smooth water felt gentle on the skin, making it enjoyable for multiple baths throughout our stay. - Meals Simply outstanding! The menu featured dishes not typically seen at ryokans, each incredibly delicious and leaving us feeling truly happy. Among all accommodations we've experienced so far, this ranks at the top. - Hospitality The staff treated us wonderfully and made our stay extremely pleasant. Both my husband and I are deeply grateful to all staff members who assisted us during our visit!

The food was very delicious, and we enjoyed it leisurely in the Room. The bath and footbath were very relaxing. The Room was spacious, allowing us to spend time comfortably. However, the lounge Facility felt a bit lacking as it shared the same space with the front desk, which made it less relaxing. Additionally, there was no coffee service in the lounge, so we only had coffee from tea bags provided in the Room. Overall, we were able to enjoy a relaxing time.

    2-night stay

Stayed at ToKI this time after visiting Kisara last year. The Japanese-French cuisine was easy to enjoy and truly delicious. Despite being French, the dishes were light. Breakfast was Japanese on the first day and Western on the second day. The Western breakfast on the second day, with scrambled eggs, soup, and bread, was absolutely delightful! For the Japanese breakfast, I opted for a rice bowl with raw egg as an option—it was exquisite. The Room could have been a bit more spacious; I also wished there was more distance between the twin beds in the sleeping area. The bath facilities were excellent with both an indoor bath and an open-air bath available. There were many insects around; while I don’t mind them much, mosquitoes seemed to be in the Room and bit me quite a lot. After using mosquito coils provided by staff on the second day, it wasn’t an issue anymore. The staff members were all very pleasant and made my stay comfortable—thank you!

I’m so glad I stayed here.

Clean and comfortable room Beautiful scenery High-quality Onsen water Meals made with plenty of local ingredients Everything was exceptional. Even for items I couldn't eat due to personal reasons, they provided alternative dishes that were just as exquisite as the regular menu, allowing me to enjoy every dish completely. Thank you so much to the head chef for your thoughtful efforts. During my stay, I didn't feel the presence of other guests and was able to relax quietly and peacefully. The staff who took care of us were all dedicated and kind, embodying the spirit of hospitality of the accommodation, which deeply moved me. I would be delighted to visit again on my next trip to Toba. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience.

I stayed at this accommodation as it was recommended for solo travelers looking to relax at a hotel during the hot summer season. However, I couldn't feel comfortable because all three air conditioners made the room too cold when turned on, and it became too hot when some were turned off, making it difficult to adjust. The meals were also disappointing. I was let down when I ordered green tea but received something else instead. It's puzzling how this accommodation ranks highly as a recommendation for solo travelers.

A Hidden Retreat Overlooking Sakate Island

Arriving a bit late after visiting Ise, the welcoming smiles of the staff instantly lifted my spirits. The stunning view from the lounge, the clear skies over Toba's sea, and that first beer were simply delightful. Drinks and snacks here are all-inclusive, but be mindful of your capacity—two beers here might fill you up quickly. The road to the accommodation can be tricky as it involves turning mid-hairpin on an uphill climb. Remember to "turn right downhill in front of Toba View Hotel Hanashinju," and you'll find a straight path from there. I recommend checking Street View beforehand to avoid getting lost like I did. The facility’s main building and rooms appear connected by corridors but are entirely separate structures, ensuring no noise disturbance from neighboring rooms. Meals are not served in-room but in private dining spaces where you can enjoy them at your own pace. My room featured two luxurious baths—a semi-open-air bath and an indoor bath—offering a blissful time with views of Sakate Island. Amenities such as bathrobes and high-end toiletries were well-stocked, leaving nothing lacking. The drip-style original coffee provided in-room was quite good; however, note that there is no espresso machine for those who prefer café lattes. A unique feature was a simple hot stone spa device using Bad Gastein stones—it seemed to reduce foot swelling slightly. Dinner was a Western-style course infused with local seasonal ingredients, creating almost a fusion cuisine experience. While everything was excellent, the shrimp with green sauce stood out as exceptional. The appetizers were so elaborate that they left me nearly full before reaching the main course—a minor regret! A variety of drinks is available; wines include sparkling wine, white wine (two types), and red wine served by glass—all high-quality despite being part of an all-inclusive plan. After enjoying sparkling wine and both whites earlier on, I had hoped to pair red wine with my beef main dish but ended up opting for water due to having indulged too much beer upon arrival. Interestingly enough, despite news about a tsunami near Kamchatka Peninsula causing some concern around Toba just prior to our stay, we experienced no disruptions or unease during our visit—thanks likely owed to behind-the-scenes efforts by staff for which we’re deeply grateful. Perhaps coincidentally or intentionally arranged for privacy—we didn’t encounter any other guests throughout our stay—truly making this place feel like a hidden retreat!
