    First-time experience

    I was able to relax in the wood-fired sauna and open-air bath at Musoan. At this Accommodation run by a tofu shop, the meals were very delicious.

    Completely satisfied again.

    I came back for a second visit right away!! As expected, this place was amazing! I was so happy that the proprietress remembered me. The meals were delicious as always! The hot spring water was wonderful! I’m already hoping to come back for a third time!

    A tofu shop where everything is delicious.

    This was my second stay. My first visit was so great that I came back with high expectations. But this time exceeded them in every way. The hot spring water is excellent, and the sauna is perfect. The tofu is delicious, and the beef and horse meat were all outstanding. All the staff are friendly—an Accommodation I will definitely return to!

    Highly Satisfied

    Upon arrival, you can contact us via the internal phone system, and you'll be warmly welcomed by a cheerful and friendly hostess. The traditional Japanese house is absolutely stunning! The Onsen water was exceptional! I stayed in Room 40, and the bath was truly spacious. I initially thought it might just look big in photos, but it really is that large. There’s even a waterproof tablet available, so you can enjoy watching TV while soaking in the Onsen—such a fantastic experience. The meals were delightful; the tofu dishes were incredibly delicious. Even though it's tofu-based cuisine, it’s satisfying and filling. I had such a peaceful and relaxing time here. In conclusion, I think this is definitely a place worth visiting again!

    I feel very regretful.

    The quality and management of the Onsen, room arrangements, and meals were excellent, and overall I was satisfied. However, the initial impression upon arrival was disappointing. 1. The road conditions to the parking lot were poor. If "we could have guided you to an easier route if you had called" is the response, this information should be clearly stated in advance on the reservation page or via email. 2. Although there is a parking lot right in front of the entrance gate, it only leads to a garden that must be crossed to reach the facility itself. There was no guidance or signboard provided, which caused unease. While there were people at what seemed like a nearby workshop area, they did not appear to be staff and did not offer assistance. 3. Even after reaching the building area from the entrance gate, there was no one present for some time until someone eventually appeared later on. 4. The pathways and garden were not well-maintained; weeds stood out noticeably. 5. Room cleaning was insufficient as dust caught my attention. It is essential for accommodations to convey a welcoming spirit upon arrival. A lack of staff presence was evident as well—creative solutions are needed to address these practical issues. The hospitality itself was kind and pleasant, making it all feel like such a missed opportunity overall! I hope efforts will be made to match expectations with pricing moving forward!

    This is my second visit.

    This was my second visit. I returned to enjoy the warm smile and delightful conversation with the hostess. The heartfelt cuisine, soothing onsen, and iris flowers arranged in the alcove were truly healing. I relaxed in the room, taking multiple dips in both the private indoor and open-air baths while gazing at the moon. It was such a peaceful and pleasant night. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again someday.

    A Must-Visit Again Accommodation

    A highly satisfying accommodation in every aspect. The meals were unique and enjoyable, unlike any other. Although something slightly disappointing happened at the end, I will definitely visit again, so please see me off properly next time until the very end! As it is a luxury accommodation costing over 100,000 yen, I would prefer to spend my time in a samue if possible.

    This was my second stay. I reserved a different room this time and enjoyed a new atmosphere. Since I visited with my elderly mother, the accommodation kindly prepared meals in appropriate portions and provided comfortable chairs in the room, allowing us to have a pleasant stay. I will definitely visit again next time.

    Anniversary

    I wanted to visit Hirayama Onsen, and I decided after reading the reviews. It was a very nice property, just as the reviews said. The food had a wide variety, and I was very full. The yuba was delicious. I was able to make a same-day reservation for the sauna. The sauna facility had a lot of attention to detail, and I really enjoyed it. I wish I could use just the sauna. It's a property I would like to visit again.

    It was a wonderful 32nd wedding anniversary!

    This time, I used it for the first time. In a quiet mountain location, with a hidden retreat-like atmosphere, I was excited even before being shown to the room. I stayed in Room 40, and the single-story Japanese house and surrounding environment were reminiscent of Japan's traditional rural landscape. Memories of visiting my grandparents' house in the countryside came flooding back. The entire property, with five accommodations and a building for dining, was structured like a small village, providing a sense of calm as if I were at home. The building of Room 40 had an indoor bath that could become a semi-open-air bath, and a large open-air bath in the garden leading to the terrace, veranda, and earthen floor. Both the open-air bath and indoor bath were filled with sulfur-scented hot spring water, making me want to bathe multiple times a day. In fact, during my one-night stay, I bathed four times. This bath is the most recommended among the properties I have used so far. The meals featured dishes utilizing soybeans and tofu. The staff were very considerate and provided a very pleasant service. Celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary became the best memory. I would like to use it again in the near future.

    There are only 5 roo...

    There are only 5 rooms in total, making it a quiet and relaxing place. The food was plentiful enough to make you full, but it's a wonderful place to relax. The Onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, with well-regulated temperatures, which was very satisfying. I would like to visit again.

    Excellent!!

    I stayed in the best room. The onsen was like a beauty serum with its silky water, and there was a large open-air bath in the center of the room, making it an absolutely wonderful stay. The autumn leaves were beautiful this time. I would love to stay again in each season. Thank you very much.
