    I stayed at this Hot...

    I stayed at this Hotel to make my visit more meaningful. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but it was great to be able to relax and enjoy a long bath. One disappointing thing was that after the last bath, the water dispenser in the rest area was empty and couldn’t be used. However, I was able to quench my thirst using the free drink dispenser in the Hotel lobby. Since the outlet mall grounds are large, this is a good Hotel for soothing your tired body after shopping.

    We recommend making a Reservation for a Superior room or higher.

    Overall: I didn’t feel the service, Facility, Onsen, or meals were poor for the price. One note: I recommend booking a Superior Room or higher. If you stay in a non-Superior Room, there’s a high chance you won’t be able to get on the elevator around checkout time. (Details below) What was good: The bathing Facility was excellent. You can see Mt. Fuji and really feel close to nature. There’s also a large “super sento”-style relaxation area, so I think families can enjoy it too. Breakfast was also great—lots of variety and very fresh, no complaints at all. It takes about 2–3 minutes to reach the nearest outlet shops. (Just walk about 50 meters outside from the entrance and take an elevator.) Starbucks and the food court are also close by, so it’s very convenient for dinner/lunch and shopping. What wasn’t great: Overall I have no real complaints, but if I had to mention something that could be improved: at certain times, there aren’t enough elevators or reception counters for the number of guests, creating bottlenecks. Because of this, during checkout hours people crowd into the elevators, and guests on floors 2–7 may not be able to board. I stayed in a Superior Room on the top floor; at checkout time the elevator stopped at almost every floor from 2 to 7 first and became full with guests from those floors, so people on floors 2–7 often had to wait for another one. I’m not sure whether there is a staircase option. For that reason—and considering Room size as well—if cost isn’t a concern, I recommend Superior or higher. Also, since you may need to wait at the counter during checkout time because of this congestion, pre-payment is recommended. Outside of those peak times mentioned above, getting around inside is extremely smooth and easy. Notes: For breakfast, if you don’t go by around 7:30 (at latest before 8:00), there’s a high chance you’ll have to line up outside the venue. After 8:00 there were many people waiting in line when I stayed. Also during check-in hours you may need to queue—I arrived around 16:00 and waited about 10 minutes. One thing some people may want to be aware of is that there are many international guests; during my stay it felt like roughly an 80/20 split in favor of international guests at breakfast. This isn’t meant as criticism—just something worth knowing in advance due to how high their share is overall (including on my floor).

    Whenever I visit Gotemba Premium Outlets, I always stay here. After a long day of shopping, I can relax and recharge in the Onsen. I had a wonderful time. Thank you.

    No repeat stay.

    The Room smelled musty and unpleasant. It was tough because the window wouldn’t open. The bath Facility was far too crowded, and the floor was slippery and felt really gross. I’d like more frequent cleaning. It’s close to the outlet mall, but I probably won’t stay again.

    I’ve stayed here several times, but this was the first time I was disappointed. Dinner was buffet-only, and for the price there weren’t many options. The food tasted good, which made it even more disappointing. I felt the same way about breakfast. The staff are all very pleasant, and it’s a Hotel I really like, but…

    Next to the outlet mall

    Accommodation cost: Approx. JPY 24,000 per night Room type: Approx. 20 Pros: At around JPY 24,000 per night, the Room is compact at approximately 20 m² but offers the minimum space needed. As it is adjacent to an outlet mall, it is convenient for a shopping-focused stay. Cons: Unfortunately, Mt. Fuji was not visible due to rain (the view depends on the weather). It is quite a walk from the bus stop to the Hotel, which can be difficult if you have large luggage. There are no convenience stores nearby, making small purchases inconvenient. Checkout is at 10:00 a.m., which may feel early for those who want a relaxed morning. Overall rating: 3/5 Reason: The location next to the outlet mall is appealing, but access from public transportation and nearby convenience (no convenience store and an early checkout time) were drawbacks. It’s a reasonable option for short stays or shopping trips, but it may not be ideal for travelers looking to take it easy.

    It was my first stay.

    I stayed here for the first time because I wanted to take my time shopping at the outlet mall. The large public bath was better than I expected. It helped me relax and recover from daily fatigue. Next time, I’d like to stay for two nights and enjoy the meals as well. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

    This Accommodation has become our go-to place to stay when visiting the Gotemba Outlets. This time as well, we stayed one night in a forest-side twin Room toward the end of Golden Week. Since we enjoyed hamburg steaks at “Sawayaka” and sushi at “Numazu Uogashi-zushi” inside the outlet again, we made a Reservation without meals. The Room was simple but more than sufficient. The large public bath wasn’t too crowded, probably because it was late in Golden Week, which was nice. The wisteria trellis by the bath entrance was quietly beautiful. We usually come to Gotemba by highway bus, but this time we drove. With the parking lot right in front, access was great. This stay made us realize that driving is also a good option on weekdays.

    Outlet

    I’d heard that Gotemba Premium Outlets is huge, but walking around while browsing the shops takes a full day and leaves your legs exhausted. After that, seeing Mt. Fuji right in front of you from Hotel Clad and soaking in the on-site Konohana-no-Yu Onsen will refresh both body and mind.

    Reliable Accommodation

    With convenient access from Kamakura and an outlet mall on-site, we can spend a fulfilling time here, so we stay about once or twice a year. I especially love the Onsen Facility the most. Also, the consistently warm hospitality of all the staff is a big plus!! The breakfast buffet was delicious as well. We will continue to stay here.

    Enjoy the outlet mall

    We stayed at this Hotel, the closest one, to coincide with the Gotemba Premium Outlets sale. On the day we arrived, we first left our luggage and enjoyed shopping at a relaxed pace. The Room was very clean. The Onsen Facility was also excellent, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay for two days. The breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the fresh raw vegetables. We would like to stay here again when visiting the outlets. If the weather had been better, we probably could have seen Mt. Fuji clearly, but unfortunately we couldn’t this time due to bad weather.

    This is the fourth time already.

    Whenever I visit Gotemba Premium Outlets, I always stay here. There is an Onsen, and we have dinner at the outlets! However, this time there were two typhoons and an earthquake. We were staying on the 7th floor, and some foreign guests who were panicking were running around; the elevators had also stopped. There was no in-house announcement and no notice posted about the elevator stoppage. I seriously question whether this is Odakyu’s standard procedure. Even at checkout, it was as if nothing had happened. My trust has been shaken.

    It was compact, but somehow very comfortable.

    Please switch on the refrigerator yourself after entering the room. It can feel noisy, so turning it on only when needed may be best. The air purifier was already on, which was nice. The room is compact with minimal storage, but the layout is efficient and makes it less likely to forget things. The Onsen was spacious, and we could see Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, which was wonderful. I would like to stay again.

    Be moved by the breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath.

    We stayed for two nights and three days in a Mt. Fuji–side twin Room. It’s quite a walk from the outlet bus stop to the Hotel, and if it rains you’ll get soaked. I recommend covering your luggage with plastic as well. The outlet is divided into three zones with changes in elevation, so you’ll need to use stairs, escalators, or elevators to reach the Hotel. The location is a bit challenging, but the Hotel itself is very clean and quiet, and the adjacent Onsen Facility was excellent. The Mt. Fuji–side twin Room felt more spacious than it looks in photos and was very efficiently designed. We were able to open a large suitcase comfortably. The only issue was that towels didn’t dry in the Room. While it may be better not to have an overly dry Room, since you’re expected to bring the Room towels to the Onsen Facility, we had no choice but to take slightly damp towels for a morning bath. An extra small towel would have been helpful. We were able to borrow a sturdy umbrella from the Hotel, so even in strong wind and rain we could walk around every part of the outlets. When we returned tired from walking, coffee in the lobby and warm smiles from the staff were waiting—something I truly appreciated. My husband loves Onsen and enjoyed bathing so much he nearly overdid it; on our final morning we also managed to see Mt. Fuji, making this a very satisfying trip. Next time, we’ll visit again to see Mt. Fuji covered in snow.

    Everything was decent overall, except for the restaurant.

    Because it is a Hotel inside the outlet mall, I have stayed here about four times before. This time, I stayed for the first time in four years. The attached restaurant used to offer an à la carte menu with decent food, but this time it had changed to a dinner buffet costing 5,500 yen. The buffet had few items, the hot dishes were not kept hot, and the flavors were monotonous—overall a very low-quality meal. I was very disappointed.

    It had been a while since my last stay, but the location right next to the outlet mall is still very convenient. I often choose this Hotel because I can enjoy shopping at a relaxed pace, and it is always clean—an excellent Hotel every time I stay.

    It was excellent.

    I stayed for one night from Sapporo. The purpose of this trip was to see a beautiful Mt. Fuji and shop at the Gotemba Premium Outlets, and choosing this adjacent Hotel was absolutely the right decision. Since I expected to be tired from walking, I chose a Mt. Fuji–side Room, looking forward to relaxing in the large public bath and seeing Mt. Fuji in the morning. We were blessed with great weather and got to see a stunning Mt. Fuji in the morning with not a single cloud! The view from the Room is truly spectacular. I looked forward to opening the curtains as soon as I woke up! The staff were courteous, and the Hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout. It’s a Hotel I would love to stay at again. Thank you very much!

    Used for a 1-night, 2-day stay to visit the outlet.

    Because it is close to the hillside area of the outlet mall, we were able to shop at a relaxed pace. The Room was spacious, with plenty of space in front of the TV and a large bathroom area, so we could unwind. We also used the large public bath and enjoyed a great view with Mt. Fuji nearby. We would like to stay here again when we visit the outlet mall.

    Thanks to the staff who kindly accommodated my request in advance for a weekend stay, I was able to enjoy my dinner plans smoothly without any issues. Thank you again! Just one point I noticed, for your reference. Since the breakfast venue (and probably dinner as well) requires guests to remove their shoes, I felt a slight mismatch with the sense of cleanliness of the flooring. I imagine it must be challenging to operate while also managing a large commercial facility, but I wanted to share this feedback in case it is helpful.

    It’s cozy and comfortable.

    I have stayed here several times, and this time I visited over Christmas. The Room is not large, but it is functional, bright, and comfortable. It was a Room with a view of Mt. Fuji on clear days, but unfortunately it was covered by thick clouds so we could not see it. Breakfast and the bath are at the neighboring Onsen Facility, so you will need to walk a short distance, but both should be satisfying. This Accommodation is a great base for enjoying the outlet mall, the Onsen, and Mt. Fuji.

    You can enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.

    I stay here when visiting the outlet mall. As a repeat guest, check-in is smooth thanks to the simple guidance from the Hotel staff. The Onsen soothes me after a long day of walking at the outlet mall. Mt. Fuji is breathtaking on clear days. I will stay again.

    I’m a returning guest, but I was concerned about some guests not following proper bath etiquette.

    A few times a year, our family often makes a Reservation for multiple Rooms and stays here because it’s the best-located option for enjoying shopping at Gotemba Premium Outlets. This time, what concerned me most was an unpleasant odor—like body odor—when we entered the Room. It seemed to be embedded in the sofa or other fabrics, and even using fabric spray didn’t help. I also noticed several Onsen etiquette issues in the bath area: entering the cold bath without rinsing off sweat, putting towels into the Onsen water and wringing them out there, and loud conversations. Would you consider posting clearer Onsen etiquette guidelines on posters? Because of the great location, it may always be fully booked, but I hope this Hotel can remain clean and feel safe and comfortable for guests.

    The weather was disappointing, though.

    Seeing Mount Fuji appear right in front of us at check-in was thrilling. Unfortunately, the weather turned bad, and we couldn’t see Mount Fuji even once from then until check-out, which was very disappointing. I can only imagine how amazing it would be if you could see it from the Room and the bath as well. I’d love to come back and try again.

    Room 709 was cold and had a musty, damp smell, making it very uncomfortable to stay in.

    We booked a Fuji-view Deluxe Room to celebrate a birthday. Mt. Fuji looked spectacular from the window, and the Room had lovely interior design—so we expected to be completely satisfied… but… The moment we stepped in, there was a damp, musty smell. I thought that if the smell was coming from the area by the door separating spaces, we could just close that door—but the Room itself also smelled musty. And it was cold. Given that a severe cold wave was all over the news, I wished they had at least adjusted the air-conditioning settings beforehand. When I checked the panel, it was set to cooling—unbelievable. I switched it to heating immediately, but then it showed “preparing” and didn’t run at all. To get rid of the odor, I turned on the air purifier, but even after a while nothing improved. When I went closer to check, the air coming out smelled bad. The inside clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. They replaced it with a new air purifier and we ran it continuously. After dinner and massages we returned to our Room several hours later, expecting the smell (like sour odor from half-dried mop water) would be gone—but it wasn’t gone at all. It made me suspect mold somewhere in an AC duct or elsewhere in the Room. Even though it was already very late at night, we couldn’t take it anymore and moved Rooms. But the new Room was also cold—16°C—and didn’t reach 20°C until we were about to fall asleep. On top of that, although the Hotel insisted it was “the same class,” this Room had no separating door and less than half the sink/vanity space. To me it was clearly a downgrade, but they kept repeating that it was equivalent. It turned into an awful birthday celebration—it felt like we went there just to catch a cold. Why did we make a Reservation for a Fuji-view Deluxe Room in the first place? I can’t believe no one at this Hotel noticed that smell. Selling Rooms with that kind of odor and temperature issues—and then moving guests into an even colder downgraded Room—makes me question their attitude as a business. It’s especially disappointing because Konohana-yu itself was great.

    Very good

    This is my second stay. This time, I chose a more spacious room and enjoyed a relaxing time. The room offered a stunning view of Mt. Fuji, which could also be seen clearly from the bathroom—truly a luxurious experience. The room was clean, and the Onsen was exceptional. I frequently stay at Marriott hotels, visiting nearby locations in Tokyo twice a month, suburban areas four times a year, and overseas resorts twice annually. I’ve come to realize that price often reflects service quality. For this Hotel, the quality and environment at this price are outstanding and leave nothing to be desired. When I showed photos to my friends, they expressed interest in visiting as well! I plan to stay here again later this year. Looking forward to it!

    The view of Mount Fuji was magnificent.

    We stayed as a family of three for a shopping trip to Gotemba Outlet. Fortunately, the weather was great, and the view of Mt. Fuji from the room was amazing. Although there was no bathtub in the room, the Onsen was fantastic, and the view of Mt. Fuji from the Onsen was exceptional.
