    YATAI to FARM was great!

    We chose the seasonal activity “YATAI to FARM.” In the morning, we met at the farm, harvested our own vegetables, and the chef grilled them on a teppan right there. They also grilled pork outdoors with 15 different spices. The maitake risotto made with rice grown on-site was outstanding as well. From harvesting vegetables to the meal service, we were truly impressed by the chefs who cooked at a food stall just for us. Although there was occasional light rain, brunch surrounded by nature became an unforgettable memory. Highly recommended!

    Well, this is kind of disappointing.

    I stayed for one night with a friend. The view from the terrace overlooking the countryside was wonderful, and all the staff were very kind and helpful. However, the guest room had a musty smell from the moment we entered, and both the Facility and overall atmosphere felt dated. Since I was expecting a Resort Hotel experience, I was honestly quite disappointed. It was also tiring to walk along the wooden boardwalk to reach the main building, and there was little signage inside, which made it hard to find our way around. Because the view and staff service were so good, I think improving the guest room environment and in-house guidance would make stays much more comfortable.

    Located in a quiet area, allowing for a relaxing stay.

    It was a wonderful Hotel stay spent with my grandchild. Since Risonare is family-oriented, there were many young children, and breakfast was lively; however, no one disrupted the atmosphere, so we could relax and enjoy our time comfortably without feeling self-conscious. There were also activities for children, and we had plenty to enjoy within the Hotel. The challenge programs gave children confidence. We didn’t use the bath in the Room and instead relaxed in the large public bath. It was a Hotel where we could stay with peace of mind. Thank you.

    Very comfortable

    We stayed in a main cottage scattered throughout the forest. The room interior was tasteful and relaxing. The buffet was delicious with just the right variety; there were many families with children, so it was lively. The staff were warm and attentive in a comfortable way. Small lights dotted the open-air bath facing the woods, and it was beautiful. We were happy to find chilled water in the room refrigerator. We came via Kuroiso-Itamuro IC, but it was hard to find and the scenery felt sparse, so we recommend coming via Nasu IC.

    I will visit again.

    The Hotel building is very attractive. Babies can also use the bath, which is excellent. The hand cream was very good as well. Once the child grows a bit older, we would like to participate in various activities.

    Perfect for families with children

    This was our first visit to Risonare since having a child. It was the off-season, so it was quiet and comfortable. There were activities for children and a pool with floats. We visited in January when it was cold and snowy, but the Room had underfloor heating, allowing us to relax comfortably indoors. One downside was that the distance from the annex to the bathhouse was quite far, with poor footing, so we gave up on using the large public bath at night. However, the bathroom in our Room was lovely, so we enjoyed bathing there instead.

    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night as a family. The staff were very kind, the Room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the POKO POKO kids' room/café, guest lounge, and large public bath. The only disappointment was the food; lunch options were limited to pizza, and the dinner buffet seemed to consist mostly of frozen foods. We would love to visit again during the green season!

    The service is excellent, but...

    The building shows signs of aging (such as peeling wallpaper and discoloration in the bathroom). However, the cleanliness of the Room is a testament to the efforts of the staff. During breakfast, we were greeted with wonderful smiles, which made for a pleasant start to our day. On our way out, a staff member addressed our family by name, which surprised us—how thoughtful! The training of the staff truly reflects Hoshino Resorts' high standards. Walking around the premises and enjoying views of nature from our Room allowed us to relax deeply. For those with mobility issues or strollers, staying in the main building might be more convenient as there are many stairs in the annex. In the lounge, only coffee, tea, and cookies were available without any staff present; we had some difficulty figuring out how to use the coffee machine.

    We visited from the ...

    We visited from the countryside as a group of four: my brother, his wife, and their two daughters. When deciding where to stay in Nasu, we chose RISONARE Nasu, a place that always satisfies no matter how many times we visit. We enjoyed activities like farming experiences and making herbal tea. The gift from IKYU was also delightful. Everyone was very satisfied!

    A Relaxing Journey

    We stayed in Nasu for a wedding and chose this accommodation. The room was spacious enough for our 1-year-old grandchild to crawl around freely. For breakfast, they provided baby food, which our grandchild finished completely. There were various activities available; we exchanged collected fallen leaves for roasted sweet potatoes, tried making pizza, and enjoyed the ball pool and the book & café area—there wasn’t enough time to experience everything! The staff's hospitality, the onsen, meals, herbal tea, scenery, and autumn foliage were all delightful and healing for both body and mind. We would love to stay here again.

    A wonderful and extraordinary space

    I was deeply relaxed by the extraordinary atmosphere in the forest. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets, and for dinner, there was roast beef served individually, with the option for seconds. The meat was tender and absolutely delicious. The buffet items all looked appetizing, and though I couldn't try everything, what I did eat was very tasty. In the morning, the salad was fresh and abundant, and there were rich milk, soft-serve ice cream, and yogurt. My friend enjoyed both Western and Japanese-style dishes. One downside was that checkout was at 12:00, but the shuttle service was at 13:10. While you can explore the forest if the weather is nice, it was raining, so we ended up just sitting in the lobby, which felt a bit drawn out. On rainy days, it would be great if the shuttle schedule could be adjusted flexibly to allow guests to leave on a high note.

    A place to fully enjoy nature

    We stayed here during our first trip to Nasu with two families. While we have visited Hoshinoya several times, this was our first time at Risonare. Hotels designed for families with children often require adults to fully engage in kids' activities, which can be tiring, but Risonare offers a variety of "experiences" that both adults and children can enjoy together. From roasting marshmallows by the campfire to making pizza, harvesting vegetables, and planting seeds, we were able to enjoy many unique experiences that are not possible in the city. These became wonderful memories for us. We had both dinner and breakfast at the buffet, where every dish was carefully prepared using plenty of vegetables and tasted delicious. The roast beef served as the main dish was also exceptionally good. We enjoyed walking through the forest surrounding the vast facility and even spotted squirrels outside our Room, allowing us to relax while enjoying nature during our stay. We can't wait to visit again soon!

    It was a relaxing experience.

    The large windows in the Room offer a stunning view of greenery, making you want to take a deep breath. Surrounded by nature, this Facility is a place where you'll want to stay forever. The staff's thoughtful and perfectly balanced hospitality was also much appreciated. One thing I noticed is that when connecting external devices to the TV, the power outlet behind the TV is hard to reach, so having an extension cord like with the HDMI port would be convenient. Alternatively, having TVs equipped with video streaming services would be even better since I enjoy playing healing videos endlessly. Please consider this suggestion.

    We fully enjoyed the activities!

    We stayed for two nights with our two preschool-aged children and had a wonderful time experiencing various activities. The Farmer's Lesson was particularly special for us, as it allowed our kids to enjoy something we couldn't offer at home. They loved feeling the soil in the fields and harvesting vegetables, which made us happy as parents. The property is spacious, and just walking around or searching for insects made time fly by. When it got too hot outside, we appreciated being able to play indoors with the cool POKOPOKO playground equipment. All the staff members who assisted us during these activities were incredibly kind, always smiling warmly and speaking gently and politely—it was truly delightful. Before checking out, our child even cried because they didn’t want to leave—it shows how much fun they had! As for minor drawbacks: dinner fees are separate from accommodation costs and on the pricier side (we opted to eat at nearby restaurants), and the room’s refrigerator door and closet doors were a bit difficult to open or close (leaving them open blocked passageways). Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable two days. Thank you for giving us such wonderful summer memories!

    It was a relaxing experience.

    The first day was unfortunately rainy, but since I had planned to relax in the Room, I was able to spend my time comfortably. The service was also excellent. One issue was the air purifier? in the Room, which made a very loud noise, so I turned it off. As a guest who booked through IKYU.com, there were hand creams and face masks provided in the Room, and I even received some sweets at checkout, which made me very happy. I would love to visit again when I want to relax.

    The meals were especially delicious.

    Located about 30 minutes from Nasu-Shiobara Station, the property offers a pleasant atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, delicious, and very satisfying. The Room was clean, and being away from the city allowed for a very relaxing stay. At night, the sounds of frogs and insects were soothing. I would love to visit again.

    I think this is a wonderful accommodation that families with young children can enjoy. Although we were on a trip as a couple in our late 40s, it reminded us of the times we visited with our own children when they were little. While watching the lively children, we enjoyed dinner while talking about how we might come here next time with our grandchildren.

    It was a truly wonderful trip.

    This was my first time staying at Hoshino Resorts. The scenery, the Room, and the bath were all amazing. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind and warmly attentive. This was the most satisfying trip I have ever had. I look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you very much!

    It was such a healing space!

    The space was wonderful no matter where you looked. The Room felt like a private rental, allowing us to enjoy our time without worrying about others! I recommend spending time without turning on the TV and just enjoying the sounds of nature. Also, we had breakfast, and the seasoning allowed us to truly taste the ingredients, and the vegetables were incredibly delicious. Points of concern: - The indoor wear was a one-piece dress, so having pants and shoes to wear within the Facility would be helpful. - The latest breakfast time was 8:45, so it would be nice if it could be a bit later. - Around 6 PM, taxis were almost unavailable, so I do not recommend relying on taxis.

    I compared it to the past.

    I stayed here about four years ago. At that time, I remember being able to roast sweet potatoes, make s'mores, and do various other activities. Now, roasted sweet potatoes are seasonal, and instead of s'mores, it's just roasted marshmallows. It was disappointing because there were many experiences available in the past. The bath is small but clean and pleasant. The Room amenities used to be all Osaji, but where I stayed, the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were from different manufacturers. I ended up writing some negative things, but the food is delicious, and above all, the atmosphere of the vast grounds is excellent! I think staying here is to enjoy this atmosphere. The gentle demeanor of the staff is also wonderful.

    Stay during the peak of autumn foliage

    This year, due to the intense heat, the autumn leaves were delayed, allowing us to stay during their peak. We were able to participate in enjoyable events such as grilling "neki-yaki" and roasting sweet potatoes after collecting fallen leaves, making for a very fulfilling holiday. The staff's service was also excellent. Our whole family was very satisfied with the warm welcome of ice cream for our 1.5-year-old grandchild during dinner and the abundance of baby food. The splendor of the autumn leaves was also breathtaking, and the reflection of the leaves in the pond of the annex offered an experience as moving as the illuminated displays in Kyoto. We look forward to enjoying the scenery in different seasons as well.

    A wonderful hotel that children can also enjoy.

    Since my grandfather had difficulty walking, we borrowed a wheelchair from the hotel, but the distance from the front desk to the room was far, and there were bumpy paths, making it impossible to move entirely by wheelchair. There were places where he had to get out of the wheelchair and walk. We borrowed the wheelchair from the person who handled our check-in, but they didn't inform us about the paths. However, when that person helped carry our luggage to the room, I asked if there were any routes with slopes accessible by wheelchair, and they told us, "There is one over there." I felt dissatisfied, thinking they should understand what it means to borrow a wheelchair and inform us in advance. Initially, I didn't have a very good impression of the hotel, thinking, "Even though it's Hoshino Resorts..." However, I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff at the dinner and breakfast venues and the many staff members with wonderful smiles. The food was also very delicious. The bath was spacious, but there were only three hairdryers, so I was concerned about people waiting naked. During the seeding and vegetable harvesting activities, my child was truly satisfied, and it became a valuable experience. The staff member in charge of that activity was also wonderful, and we had a very enjoyable time. Thank you very much!
