Overall, I was satisfied.
My first time in Ishigaki Island. I was torn between Fusaki and ANA InterContinental. I chose this Hotel for its overseas-like atmosphere, well-equipped pools that my elementary school-aged son would enjoy, and the beach right nearby. Both the pool and beach were well supervised, which made us feel safe. Access to Kabira Bay and the Blue Cave area was also convenient—about 30–40 minutes. We stayed in a Room in the North Wing, but it didn’t quite match the photos: scratches on the floor and noticeable dirt or dust. In the bathroom, visible mold on the walls was disappointing. Breakfast requires a Reservation in advance. Depending on the season, turnover was good and we had almost no stress from waiting. On our last day we went out for activities, so being able to store our luggage after checkout and use the large public bath was extremely helpful. Overall, I think it’s a Hotel that families with children up to elementary school age can fully enjoy.

Perfect Even on Rainy Days! A Family-Friendly Travel Paradise
For a family trip to Ishigaki Island, Fusaki Beach Resort Hotel & Villas is undoubtedly the best choice. This time we stayed in the North Wing, which offered excellent access to the Bold Kitchen breakfast venue, and there was also a convenient P2 parking lot nearby—making everything incredibly easy. The room even had a drying rack for laundry, which was a huge help for families who spend lots of time playing in the water. Although we unfortunately had rainy weather, the Hotel offers plenty to enjoy indoors, including a well-equipped indoor pool as well as fun kids’ craft activities and specimen-making programs—so there was never a dull moment. While Accommodation and dining can be quite expensive, the comfort and hospitality more than make up for it, allowing the whole family to create wonderful memories regardless of the weather.

The Hotel in Ishigaki Where You Can Enjoy the Best Resort Experience
We stayed here for our family trip during summer vacation. Originally, we planned to stay at Hoshinoya on Taketomi Island, but due to a typhoon we ended up booking two nights here at short notice. It turned out to be the perfect choice—far beyond our expectations! We thoroughly enjoyed everything: the Facility, the service, and the meals. Our whole family was very satisfied. After this, we still couldn’t return to the main island because of the typhoon and stayed two more nights at different Hotels, but if you want to make the most of a resort experience on Ishigaki Island, I believe this is without a doubt the best Accommodation. Thank you very much.

Our annual Ishigaki trip is here!
I was able to visit Ishigaki again this year. Whenever I come to Ishigaki, I stay at Fusaki every year. You can enjoy both the pool and the beach, and the atmosphere truly feels like a resort. Various activities are available at the beach, and at low tide there is a spot where adults can stand while seeing clownfish and blue damselfish, so you can enjoy snorkeling safely.

Service during peak season was not adequate.
At check-in, even though there were several staff at the front desk, it took a long time to be assisted, which was frustrating. The Room was neither good nor bad—just very average. As for the restaurants, the “Beachside BBQ” was excellent in both food and service, but “Ryukyu Shintenchi” was terrible. Even after ordering, our drinks didn’t arrive for a long time, and then the main dish suddenly came first. Skipping drinks and appetizers—unbelievable. After that, all the ordered items were brought out at once with no regard for order. I had expected it to be a reasonably good restaurant, so it was disappointing. The adults-only pool was always taken over by families, so I couldn’t swim. Depending on the season, I don’t think this is a place for couples.

Used during the Obon holiday period by me and my two daughters (3 guests).
I’ve stayed here every year for about the past six years. I usually come with my wife and eldest son, but this year it was just the three of us because of entrance exams. I’d like to share my personal thoughts about some points I sometimes see in Reviews. Fusaki Beach is a resort-style Hotel, but I see it primarily as a family resort for guests with children up to around elementary school age. In Ishigaki, I think this is the only place that offers such a full range of kid-friendly pools and activities. So for families with young children, it feels like a great resort. On the other hand, if you’re looking for an adults-only style resort to enjoy an extraordinary, luxurious atmosphere, this may not be what you expect. If you make a Reservation hoping for luxury vibes and high-end hospitality, there’s a good chance you’ll be disappointed. If you stay here with that image in mind, you may feel the atmosphere is different than expected or that the service isn’t great. If you truly want the kind of luxury resort you’re imagining, there are some options (though they are much more expensive), including on nearby islands. It’s best to view Fusaki as an Ishigaki resort where families with small children can be satisfied.

Impressions of Fusaki
Since I stayed at Haimurubushi on Kohama Island before staying at Fusaki, this is a comparison with Haimurubushi. Unfortunately, Fusaki fell far below my expectations and left me disappointed. 1) Guest room: I stayed in a Garden Villa. The lettering on the toilet washlet controls had worn off, so I couldn’t tell which button was for flushing. 2) Service: Perhaps because Fusaki has so many guests, the staff seemed focused on getting through the volume and had little breathing room. In contrast, the staff at Haimurubushi were calm and clearly more hospitable (example: they remembered us at the restaurant and asked about how our activity went the day before—I was impressed by their attentiveness to each guest). I was also worried that an accident might happen because the carts inside the Hotel drive along narrow paths. At Haimurubushi, we drove our own carts and the roads were wide, which felt comfortable. 3) Public bath: Average. At Haimurubushi, the open-air bath with an ocean view was excellent. 4) Food: Although I was told breakfast would focus on Okinawan cuisine, there was no Yaeyama soba, and there were fewer Okinawan dishes than at Haimurubushi. It felt tailored to Chinese guests’ preferences. 5) Price: Depending on the season, my per-person cost was higher at Fusaki. In conclusion, I won’t be returning to Fusaki. Because my expectations were high, the disappointment felt even greater. I’m likely to become a repeat guest at Haimurubushi instead.

We stayed as a family. The pool and bar were wonderful. The food was delicious and we were very satisfied. However, the Room had a very musty smell, which was disappointing. The coin laundry also felt quite old, and the dryer in particular seemed to heat clothes up so much that they could cause burns (according to other guests). If those areas are improved, we would like to stay again.

It was the best trip ever!
We stayed during the three-day holiday weekend in July. We traveled with a friend’s family as well, for a total of eight guests. It was our first stay, and we were very satisfied with everything—the Room, breakfast, dinner, pool, beach, and large public bath. The Room was a bit far from the front desk, but it wasn’t inconvenient since we could use a cart. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style; the quality was high and there was a wide variety of options, so we were very satisfied. However, since the dinner buffet seemed to have a 90-minute time limit, and we had many children with us, the adults couldn’t eat at their own pace until they were fully satisfied—this is one point we hope can be improved. Other than that, everything was excellent! We also had great weather and enjoyed a wonderful stay. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

Recommended if you want to enjoy Sunset Beach, but
The location is good, so it’s a nice option if you plan to spend time at the beach, but… Depending on the staff member, the response to shortening our stay differed, and communication after asking them to call a taxi didn’t go smoothly. If you fully skip Room cleaning, it seems you won’t receive amenities such as towels. At check-in, the Room floor was dirty so we ended up cleaning it ourselves, and the air purifier wasn’t even plugged in…. There is only one coin laundry machine, so we couldn’t do laundry properly… The Room had good soundproofing. The large public bath was far away, so it’s better to choose your Room type carefully. The breakfast “Shintenchi” was delicious. The staff were also very kind and helpful.

A Hotel Where You Can Enjoy the Okinawan Atmosphere
I stayed for three nights starting June 12. This was about my seventh stay. I was surprised to see tropical fish right off the beach, and even a large porcupinefish. Even after checkout, I could still swim in the sea, and it was very comfortable since I could use the showers and changing rooms as well. I also really appreciate that there is an airport Shuttle Service bus. The Okinawa-style villas are wonderful, and the restaurant uses plenty of Okinawan ingredients—everything was delicious and I was very satisfied. All of the staff were kind too. This is my favorite Hotel on Ishigaki Island. I’d like to stay at Fusaki Beach Hotel again next time. Thank you very much.

Pool (Main)
We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the Room was spacious—more than enough space for four people, including adults and children. Among the Hotels on Ishigaki Island, the pool and breakfast are number one. Since Ishigaki Island is rich in nature, we were surprised to see dozens of geckos here and there around the Hotel Facility.

Recommended for families with young children.
Everything was high quality, and it was a great Hotel. We stayed in early June on sunny days as a family of four with a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old. If I had to highlight a few points, they would be: - Choose a Room that is always close to the front desk and the pool. - The restaurant “Bold Kitchen” is good for breakfast, but not as strong for dinner. - The restaurant “Ryukyu Shintenchi” is good for breakfast, but even better for dinner. - The sunset is amazing, so you should definitely watch it. - You should Reserve an on-site shuttle cart from your phone. Hope this helps.

We enjoyed our stay as three generations.
Overall, it was a wonderful Hotel. There were flowers everywhere and they were truly beautiful. The Room had an ocean view and was spacious and clean; the food was delicious; and all the staff were very pleasant. The pool was large, and it was easy to borrow towels and children’s arm floaties, and the beach is just a short walk away. We also felt safe because the lifeguards kept a close watch at both the pool and the beach. We enjoyed the Diamond benefits as well and made good use of them. A few minor issues: (1) One staff member’s explanations were unclear—perhaps they are still getting used to things—as there were some confusing wording mistakes in Japanese (they are Japanese), directions were sometimes reversed, and times were incorrect (though they were very kind). (2) Lunch options were limited, and service was not very efficient, so we had quite a long wait. It seemed that some foreign guests repeatedly requested menu customizations, which made me feel sorry for the staff. Unless staff have strong English skills, it may be better not to offer customization requests. (3) For safety and hygiene reasons, it might be better to limit toddlers wearing diapers to the children’s pool only. With a typhoon approaching, I know preparing the beach must have been difficult, but we still had a great time right up until we had to leave the island at the last minute. Thank you very much.

A comfortable Resort Hotel perfect for families with children
My sister’s family, who have stayed here before, strongly recommended Fusaki for families with children, so this was our first stay as a family. It was absolutely the right choice!! The view from the reception area feels like an Asian resort, full of tropical vibes. The North Side Patio Twin is very close to reception and conveniently located near the courtyard for walks, the shops, and the breakfast and dinner buffet venue. There were many red ants on the patio, so I couldn’t fully relax because I worried about getting bitten. However, the large drying rack provided made it easy to hang swimsuits and towels, and the Room was spacious. They also pushed two beds together to accommodate Child Sharing Existing Bedding, so we had no inconveniences at all. The pool Facility here is truly outstanding. Not only is there a great kids’ pool, but the tiered garden pool and beach are both very spacious—so even though there were many guests, we didn’t have to desperately compete for beach chairs. The float rental service was also great. The indoor pool even has a slide, and both kids and adults enjoyed going down it again and again. There were plenty of lifeguards as well; they kept a proper watch at all times and immediately reminded guests when something wasn’t allowed—this left a very positive impression. We also received coupons worth several thousand yen through eco-cleaning that could be used for shopping or food and drinks at the bar. The sparkling bottle we received as a Diamond member benefit was delicious, too. The buffet offered many local Okinawan specialties and was very appealing. On our second night we had dinner at Shintenchi; even with a toddler it came to 20,000 yen for three people—certainly not cheap—but we were extremely satisfied with the fusion dishes featuring Okinawan island tofu, Ishigaki beef, local white fish, and more. I believe this property has been around for quite some time; however, everywhere you look—the interiors and restaurants included—has been renovated. My husband and I agreed that receiving this level of service at this price point is incredible value. Above all—and I think this is both part of Okinawa’s charm and Fusaki’s charm—the staff were truly wonderful across the board. No matter who we spoke with, everyone was natural yet attentive in such thoughtful ways that made us feel comfortable. We will definitely come back next year! I want to make our Reservation soon (lol). Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate my parents’ 45th wedding anniversary. They kindly provided helpful information about various activities even before our stay, which was greatly appreciated! On the day, our flight was delayed and we contacted them as we might not make it in time for dinner; they arranged things in advance, which put us at ease. After checkout, we forgot an item, but they handled it flexibly and we still made our return flight. Thank you very much. During our stay, all the staff were wonderful, and we truly enjoyed the Hotel and had a very relaxing time. We’d love to visit Ishigaki Island again, and would definitely like to stay here again when we do!

Recommended for first-time visitors to Ishigaki Island
This Resort Hotel is highly recommended for first-time visitors to Ishigaki Island, just as the title says. At the open and airy lobby, the reception staff kindly explained the on-site Facility and services in detail. If you arrive by car (such as a rental car), it’s a bit of a walk to the parking lot, but they always provide shuttle pick-up and drop-off (it’s fantastic). With Fusaki Beach and ocean activities, beach menu options, Angel Pier, an indoor pool, and a large public bath available, we were very satisfied with everything—the poolside Star Bar and Aqua Garden Café included. For dinner, we visited both HANARE and Beachside Grill Geshi Haechi; the staff explained each dish to us, and everything was delicious—we left completely full. All staff greeted us with smiles, making our stay very comfortable.

Hmm, what a waste.
I usually stay at ANA InterContinental when visiting Ishigaki, but this time I chose Fusaki for the first time. My impression: such a waste—those are the only words. The Facility is worth the price, but I saw many situations that made me feel staff training is lacking. Even if some of it is unavoidable due to resort part-time staffing, it was disappointing given such a beautiful location. Also, the Room cleaning was poor: amenities like the hair dryer were left exactly as they were before we went out. The housekeeping staff were chatting on the elevator landing and didn’t even greet us in the morning. With proper staff training, I think we could have had a much more comfortable stay. If I ever stay again, I hope everything will have improved by then. The only highlight was that the Chinese restaurant on-site was delicious and good value for money.

Staff standards are ...
Staff standards are getting worse every year. I visit Ishigaki Island a few times a year. I always stayed at Fusaki Beach, but I think this may be my last time. The service feels careless. Amenities are replenished daily, but the in-room loungewear is not changed. Until last year, even with half-skip housekeeping they replaced it every day, which I appreciated. This year, they won’t replace it unless you ask, and it really feels like the overall quality has become sloppy. At the restaurant as well, the difference between attentive staff and indifferent staff is far too extreme. Very disappointing. I made a Reservation at a different Hotel for this summer.

Dream Hotel
Overall, I would rate my stay 3 stars. Nothing stood out as particularly impressive. This was my first stay, and I chose the South Wing, but there were several inconveniences, such as not receiving a key card at all. I also felt that many of the staff were unfriendly.

It was a fun Hotel.
We enjoyed the beach and the pool. The sea was beautiful, and our child was delighted to see large fish up close. The starry sky at night was breathtaking. The breakfast and dinner buffets were also very delicious. However, we were disappointed with the à la carte Chinese dinner: a chicken dish served on a stone plate was only room temperature when we touched it (so a regular plate would have been fine), and when we ordered a cola it came filled with crushed ice with too little drink, so we asked for a replacement. Since breakfast was so good, our expectations were high, which made this more disappointing. Also, because the area is rich in nature, there are many insects. I’ll refrain from details as it may have been incidental, but if you are sensitive to such things, be prepared.

Recommended Suite
We stayed during Golden Week, and the best part was how clean and nice the beach and pool were. The Fusaki Suite Room was larger than it looked in the photos, with a big table that made it very comfortable to spend time in. The minibar was refilled every day, which was convenient. On our 5-night Multiple Night Stay, there weren’t many dinner options, but the dinner at Shintenchi was especially good. The BBQ was canceled even with light rain. There were laundries throughout the North Wing, and we could dry our clothes well, which really helped.

The Perfect Place for Families
This was the Hotel I’d long wanted to visit when going to Ishigaki Island, even deciding in advance which Room I wanted to stay in. When I actually visited, it was a comfortable resort surrounded by lots of greenery that blended beautifully with nature. The pool and beach were wonderful, easy to access, and very relaxing. The Room amenities and the washing machine are not the newest, but I could understand that Fusaki likely prioritizes other things even more. The pool lifeguards kept a close watch, and on our first night a staff member quickly found our youngest child after they got lost—I’m truly grateful. We weren’t lucky with the weather and gave up on the barbecue, so I’d love to try it next time.

A resort villa you’ll want to visit again
We stayed for one night during Golden Week with our 4-year-old daughter. The pool and large public bath, which we could use both before and after check-in, were excellent and truly appreciated when traveling with a child. Our daughter spent most of the stay playing in the pool and seemed very satisfied. Even though it was Golden Week, it wasn’t as crowded as we expected—perhaps because day-use visitors weren’t accepted—so we were able to relax comfortably. The Room does show some age, but the resort has a charming atmosphere with rows of cottages that made it feel like a real getaway. The grounds are spacious as well, and it was a wonderful stay where we could unwind freely with our child.

A lovely Hotel, but with a few disappointing points.
It was a resort-style Hotel with an atmosphere that made us feel as if we were abroad. In addition to an open, spacious pool that feels like it leads straight to the sea, there is also a pool with play equipment for children, so families can really enjoy their stay. It is very well suited to a relaxing stay spent mostly within the Hotel, and the Chinese food at the restaurant was especially delicious—high enough quality that we would like to return. Overall, we were highly satisfied and found it to be an appealing Hotel. However, one thing left us very doubtful: how things were handled after checkout. This time, our checkout was 12:00 thanks to an IKYU perk, so we spent the morning at the pool and then completed our final payment in the lobby after everything was finished. We believe it was a coordination error on the Hotel’s side that drinks used at the pool bar that morning were not included in that settlement. Despite this, when they called us afterward, they spoke as if blaming us for forgetting to pay; even though we explained that we had finished at the pool and settled our bill, we were repeatedly told several times that “you forgot today’s payment,” which made us quite uncomfortable. Of course we have no issue paying itself. But it is problematic for a mistake in internal coordination on the Hotel’s side to be communicated as if it were our fault. We told them to charge the registered card, but they did not seem satisfied with that solution. We also explained that we were already on our way to the airport and could not easily turn back, but their response was truly disappointing. Given its price range—one of the higher-end Hotels on Ishigaki Island—we believe these basic operational processes and customer service should be improved going forward. The Facility itself is very attractive, which makes this issue all the more disappointing.

From the best Room to the lowest-ranked Room
Stayed for 3 nights. Because the pool villa was only available for 1 night, I stayed in a lower-rank Room for nights 2–3. The villa Room and service were excellent. If anything, the Hotel should improve the checkout process as well as check-in by changing the counter setup. For a Hotel of this class, I would recommend asking something like “How was your stay?” at checkout, but there was nothing like that. Also, even when I asked for water at the counter, there was no service. It ruined what had been great service at check-in and in the Room. After that, nights 2–3 were the start of a nightmare. The Room became much more basic; although I requested that the twin beds be pushed together, they weren’t; and there was no complimentary bottled water either. Both the service and the view were poor—the worst experience. At that level, I want them to lower the price for their lower-rank Rooms.

This is our third year staying here in a row, and we had a very comfortable stay. This time, we also tried the Chinese takeout for the first time—it was very convenient. It would be even better if delivery were available. If I had to mention one thing, I’d like to see more amenities provided in the bathroom.

When I arrived early at Fusaki Resort, I wasn’t feeling well, so I spoke with the front desk. They kindly allowed me to check in early, which was a huge help. Thank you very much. Enjoy a complete resort experience all within Fusaki Resort.
This was my first trip to Ishigaki Island, for 3 nights and 4 days. Since my ANA miles were about to expire, we stayed one night at Fusaki Resort before spending two nights in the club building at ANA InterContinental Ishigaki. It was a Hotel where you can enjoy everything—pools, the beach, and all kinds of activities. We enjoyed it even more than InterContinental Ishigaki. I’d love to come back with my children and grandchildren. Fusaki Resort is a place where families can have fun, and I’d like to stay at least three nights. At InterContinental, as expected, we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable Hotel stay. We took walks around the Facility grounds, enjoyed afternoon tea in the lounge in the afternoon, and had slightly luxurious drinks during cocktail time. For us as an elderly couple it was a bit of a splurge trip, so we can’t go many times. Next time, I’d like to go to Fusaki Resort with our grandchildren and our daughter’s families (our eldest daughter’s family and second daughter’s family)—10 people in total—and enjoy it together. It was truly a wonderful trip to Ishigaki. In October we are planning another 3-night/4-day stay at Hilton Miyakojima on Miyako Island. Okinawa and its remote islands are even better than Hawaii.

Beachside Grill “Summer Solstice South Wind” was disappointing.
I’ve stayed here many times, and this time as well I was looking forward to Beachside Grill Natsushi Minamikaze. However, compared with before, there were fewer types of meat, and instead of the previous style where staff came around serving, it has changed to an order-as-needed system. Even when we ordered, the meat didn’t arrive promptly, and by the time it did we were already full. The atmosphere and the food itself are delicious, but with this change in service I found myself wondering what to do next time.
