    A satisfying Room and meal.

    This was my first time staying at this Accommodation. From the moment I checked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the Room was and how satisfying the Onsen experience felt. The meals were also of higher quality than I expected, leaving both my heart and stomach full. It felt so wonderful that I even spoke with the manager about my next stay. Next time, I’m looking forward to visiting with friends. I’m also grateful to the international service staff for their thoughtful, Japanese-style attentiveness.

    A Memorable Accommodation

    I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay here. About four years ago, I gifted my parents a stay at this Accommodation, and they were truly delighted. That experience made me curious about it for a long time, and I was finally able to stay this time. It exceeded my expectations—it was a wonderful Accommodation. All the staff were friendly while maintaining just the right amount of distance, which made the stay very comfortable. The Room was clean and had a calm atmosphere where I could relax. The Onsen was at a perfect temperature and felt great, helping me unwind from everyday fatigue. Above all, the food was outstanding. Everything looked beautiful, and each dish was carefully prepared—I enjoyed it fully with both my eyes and taste buds. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

    The Room and open-ai...

    The Room and open-air bath were wonderful, the welcome dessert was absolutely delicious, and both dinner and breakfast were unquestionably excellent—far exceeding our expectations. It’s rare to find an Accommodation we truly want to return to without fail, but this Accommodation is one we will definitely include in our next trip to Kyushu as well.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    When I first got off at Yufuin Station, it was so crowded that I wondered if I’d chosen the wrong place. There was a Shuttle Service from the Accommodation, but I wanted to take a leisurely walk, so I walked along the flat road for about 15–20 minutes from the station. The Accommodation is built with plenty of space, and the reception, lodging, and dining are in separate buildings. The Room was spacious, and each Room had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, so we were truly able to relax and unwind. The food was thoughtfully prepared Japanese cuisine, and it was nice to enjoy a leisurely meal over time. The staff’s attentive care was also very courteous and soothing. I don’t know about other places to stay in Yufuin, but this is an Accommodation I would definitely recommend to friends. It was a trip with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, and we were glad we could spend such an enjoyable and relaxing time together. Thank you very much.

    Unfortunately.

    The Room and Facilities were nice, but the staff service was disappointing. Were they part-time staff? Even though a family member was unwell, our request for a slightly earlier Shuttle Service was refused. While waiting in the check-in lobby, we asked for some water and were told it wasn’t possible—without even a simple “Are you okay?” I was surprised by how cold the response felt. At breakfast, when one person didn’t come, we said the rest of us would share, but they tried to clear everything away anyway, which made us feel very unpleasant. At checkout there was no explanation of the bill, and we later found mistakes after returning home. We appreciated receiving some sweets, but although three of us stayed, there were only enough for two people. A Japanese male manager (or someone who seemed to be in charge) later spoke to us with considerate words, but it didn’t erase our disappointment.

    I’d like to stay here again.

    We stayed here to celebrate our son’s high school graduation and to make some memories before he starts living on his own. The Room, the cuisine, the Onsen, and the staff’s service were all outstanding. We were especially impressed by how delicious the food was. We were also surprised that our son—who is usually very picky—finished the entire course meal. The staff were kind and provided truly pleasant hospitality, and we would definitely like to stay again.

    It was a wonderful A...

    It was a wonderful Accommodation where we could truly feel the spirit of hospitality. Each Room is separate, so it felt like staying in a private villa—an incredibly luxurious experience. From the open-air bath in our Room, we could also enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Yufu, which was deeply moving. We were glad to have clear skies. Above all, the meals were truly, truly delicious... It made us want to come back again and again for the food even more than for the Onsen! We would also love to visit the restaurant run by the same group. In addition, all of the staff were kind and courteous. They explained everything about the Room carefully, and during meals they shared little stories and gave detailed explanations of each dish. It really felt like this Ryokan values hospitality above all else. We were also very impressed that they kindly made onigiri from our leftover rice as a late-night snack. It also made us very happy when a staff member asked at checkout, “Would you like me to take a photo?” This is the first Ryokan that has moved us this much. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable family stay.

    We stayed here for a long-awaited family trip to celebrate our daughter’s graduation, as our family has been living apart. The staff provided warm, attentive service. The Room was very relaxing, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were spotless, with an amazing view. Every in-room meal was delicious, with fresh vegetables—our son, who used to dislike vegetables, finished everything and we were truly impressed. The rice was exceptionally good, and they even made it into rice balls for a late-night snack; breakfast was also excellent. Even though we suddenly asked if there could be a surprise for our daughter’s graduation celebration, they kindly accommodated us. We had the best time as a family and made wonderful memories. We are sincerely grateful to all the staff for their thoughtful hospitality and to the head chef. We would love to stay again next time.

    The creative cuisine and thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality are truly comforting.

    The food is excellent in both taste and variety, and the tableware and presentation are equally impressive. The warm hospitality makes the stay even more comfortable. The open-air bath and indoor bath may feel a little lukewarm at first, so it’s easy to relax in the water while reading. After getting out, you’ll notice later that your body has warmed through to the core. I’d love to come back again.

    Meals Onsen

    The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right. The open-air bath temperature was perfect and comfortable even on a cold morning, and it was wonderful to be able to see Mt. Yufu from the open-air bath.

    Delicious cuisine that will amaze you.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. The bath attached to the room was conveniently located and had the perfect temperature. It was clean, allowing me to bathe multiple times with peace of mind. I enjoyed relaxing in the open-air bath, which helped relieve my daily fatigue. The Onsen is said to be free-flowing. The Onsen in Yufuin has a gentle quality that makes it enjoyable to bathe in repeatedly. Each dish was carefully explained, making the meal both delightful and delicious. There was also a wide variety of drinks, including wine and sake, which added to my satisfaction. I heard that the menu changes every month, making this Ryokan a place I would want to visit monthly! I will definitely return again someday!

    Enjoy a luxurious time with unlimited access to the open-air bath.

    The open-air bath under the night sky with my child became a lifelong memory. The Accommodation Fee is high, but it's not about the money. We were able to create precious memories and experiences as a family.

    I have come to love seared Spanish mackerel sashimi.

    I often eat tuna sashimi as I like it, but grilled Spanish mackerel sashimi was served for dinner, and I tried it for the first time. I liked it so much that I've been enjoying it ever since. The meals left a delicious impression. The rice at breakfast was pure white and very tasty. There were some precautions about the gas stove during check-in, but I found ventilation troublesome and felt uneasy using it. Since there is an Onsen, I wish there had been more towels provided.

    It was my first trip to Yufuin. I was completely satisfied with the fresh air, hospitality, facilities, and cuisine, making it an accommodation I would love to visit again.     Peace of Mind

    I have stayed at this accommodation several times, and recently, it has become so comfortable that I feel like saying "I'm home" when greeted with "Welcome back." This place truly feels like a second home. During this stay, it was raining, but the open-air bath had a serene atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable in its own way. The meals always exceed expectations to the point of being truly moving—something words or pictures cannot fully convey.     It was so relaxing!

    Accommodations with rooms featuring open-air baths often highlight their cuisine, service, and hot spring quality, but it's rare to find one that excels in all aspects. It's not uncommon to encounter situations where dinner is excellent but breakfast falls short, or small details like a lack of towels or unrefilled cold water in the room can be disappointing. However, this accommodation truly exceeded expectations in every detail. It felt as comfortable and fulfilling as being at home! The delicate dishes, down to the sweetness of the perfectly cooked rice, were outstanding. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive—I am filled with gratitude. I will definitely visit again!

    The Best Accommodation

    We stayed at the accommodation at the end of May to celebrate my wife's birthday. Having had a great impression in April last year, we decided to return, and it was just as wonderful as before. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a "Welcome back" all the way to the parking lot. The hospitality from every staff member, from top management down, was exceptional. The room was compact but clean and very relaxing. The private open-air bath attached to the room was amazing; we used it multiple times. The water was silky smooth, colorless, odorless, and truly warming. Dinner lived up to its reputation for excellent cuisine—everything was delicious with generous portions that left us very satisfied. The next day brought light rain, so instead of heading towards Aso, we visited Usa Jingu Shrine. It had been about 30 years since our last visit there; as a National Treasure shrine, it was magnificent. The atmosphere of the rain-soaked approach path added charm to this famous power spot where we prayed earnestly—it made for an unforgettable trip!

    After about two years, I returned and was warmly welcomed with a "Welcome back." The Onsen in the room was delightful, offering a stunning view of Mount Yufu. The highlight of my stay, the meals, did not disappoint and were absolutely delicious. The grilled skin on the Isaki sashimi and perfectly prepared steak served in small portions were exceptional. The wine selected to match my preferences was also exquisite. Breakfast was equally impressive. If you're looking for delicious cuisine and relaxing Onsen, I highly recommend this place.

    It was a wonderful Hotel!

    We stayed as a family at the accommodation at the end of Golden Week. The onsen in the room is sourced directly from the hot spring, and the kaiseki course meals were incredibly delicious. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, making it a truly wonderful hotel. Above all, the owner's smile was delightful. As we live in Tokyo, it's not easy to visit often, but this is definitely a hotel we would love to return to!

    We stayed at Yufuin'...

    We stayed at Yufuin's Onshuku Tanarikyu・Haru to celebrate a family birthday. Everything was excellent, from the inquiries before our stay to our departure from the property. - A small-scale property consisting of 5-6 independent buildings per room. The quality of the rooms is high, and you can feel attention to detail throughout, making it perfect for seclusion. - It takes about 15-20 minutes on foot to Yunotsubo Kaido, but perhaps because we were with family, they kindly provided shuttle service. The staff's response was also excellent. - Managed by an owner with an Italian background and his brother trained in Japanese cuisine, the quality of food and drinks is exceptionally high. There are reportedly about 200 bottles stocked at a nearby restaurant that recently opened, and the owner selects wines according to your preference while explaining them. - Haru has two cypress indoor baths and open-air baths. You can enjoy onsen with free-flowing hot spring water anytime you like. - Welcome sweets, all drinks in the refrigerator are free, and there were even souvenirs at the end; their service is truly fulfilling. I definitely want to visit again when I come back to Kyushu or Yufuin. We had an absolutely wonderful time; thank you very much.

    A property with every possible amenity.

    As soon as we entered the room, a welcome dessert was delivered! The three types, including pudding with our preferred firmness, were very delicious. Dinner focused on quality over quantity, which was perfect for a couple with small appetites. The remaining rice was made into rice balls and delivered to our room, which we enjoyed as a late-night snack. Such service is delightful, isn't it? From the indoor Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water and the open-air bath, we could see Mount Yufu! It was so pleasant that we wanted to stay immersed forever. Breakfast was also just the right amount and included Oita specialties, which we enjoyed. The staff were clean and refreshing. We definitely want to visit again when the seasons change.

    A nice Stays after a long time

    I booked this property for a Kanreki celebration. It was quite difficult to find a property that suited us, and I was a bit anxious, but we talked about how it was a good property on our way back. First of all, the food is very delicious. I recommend it to those who seek good meals. As for the bath, it would have been better if it were a bit larger in size. Also, I felt that the depth of the bathtub was a bit deep. I think it would be perfect if there was a small lounge-like area. Lastly, it would have been perfect if the timing of serving drinks was earlier in the morning and evening. However, I would like to visit again next time, not during the special New Year's cuisine period. There are not many perfect properties, but this was one of the closer ones.

    Vacation

    It was a one-night trip from Takachiho Gorge (Miyazaki) to Yufuin (Oita). We arrived at Tanriku around 4 PM. Despite the late hour, we were able to enjoy Yuno Tsubo Street to Lake Kinrin efficiently for an hour, thanks to the courteous guidance and shuttle service. Upon returning, we washed away our sweat in the open-air bath in the room. Now, it's time for the main event, dinner. Since they also run an Italian restaurant, we requested a glass of wine. The owner attended to us and asked if we had any preferred wine. When we mentioned Riesling, they opened a new bottle for us, which lifted our spirits. The meal was Japanese cuisine with a focus on the tableware. The first matsutake mushrooms of the year were domestically sourced from Iwate. The aroma and broth of the soup were superbly delicious and warmed our stomachs. We truly enjoyed the meal from start to finish. Additionally, the presentation of breakfast was impressive. It was a very satisfying stay, both visually and taste-wise. The view of Mount Yufu from the property was magnificent, providing a location that heals the fatigue of city life. Next time, I would like to visit to enjoy the Italian cuisine.
