    What a shame!

    1. The steamed dish served at dinner was brought out cold. 2. The sound of dripping water outside the window by the pillow was loud and disturbed my sleep. I chose this Onsen trip because it was an IKYU-selected Accommodation, but it ended up being disappointing.

    An Unforgettable Anniversary

    We stayed here to celebrate both our wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday, hoping to enjoy Onsen and delicious cuisine with views of the sea and town. The scenery, food, and Onsen were wonderful, and we especially appreciated the excellent service from Mr./Ms. F. Friendly yet attentive and courteous, their explanations made the meal even more enjoyable—we truly loved every dish. On our way out, we also discussed our next Reservation. We look forward to staying with you again. Thank you for helping us spend an unforgettable anniversary!

    I was looking forward to enjoying the open-air bath in winter, so it left me with a disappointing impression.

    This was my first stay since the Accommodation changed its name. I had expected the entire building to have been renovated, but it didn’t seem to have changed much. Although the balcony is spacious and appealing, I was concerned about being seen from guest rooms on the upper floors, and I felt that additional measures such as screens or partitions would be helpful. Also, the temperature of the open-air bath on the balcony was low. Even though I requested adjustments several times, it remained lukewarm until the end and I couldn’t warm up properly. Since I had been looking forward to enjoying an open-air bath in winter, this left a disappointing impression. In addition, having the washing area outdoors is tough on cold days; it was windy that day as well, and washing outside was quite difficult. It’s not easy to use comfortably in winter or on cold days. Dinner was more than we could finish; however, the sashimi and sirloin were delicious. As for service, although our young attendant still seemed inexperienced, they did their best to assist us, which was appreciated. We could clearly feel the Ryokan’s appeal through the scenery and hospitality, but there were also several disappointing points for winter stays—such as privacy concerns on the balcony, temperature control of the open-air bath, and the outdoor washing area. Especially for guests whose goal is to enjoy an open-air bath during colder seasons, improvements in these areas would likely lead to higher satisfaction.

    A truly wonderful accommodation

    We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the warm welcome to the send-off, the staff’s kind and attentive service made our stay truly comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we loved the Room atmosphere and the view from the open-air bath. We were able to spend a special time, and my wife, who traveled with me, was very satisfied as well. We didn’t expect to receive a commemorative photo beautifully decorated as a gift, so it was a wonderful surprise. Thanks to all of you, it became an unforgettable anniversary. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again.

    Exclusive for guests with a 0-year-old child!

    The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. On the other hand, for a property that accommodates infants, we found it a bit inconvenient that the tabletop was easily within reach, there were only stairs so we had to carry our baby at all times, the TV cables and remote were accessible, and the coffee maker was also placed within reach. This may sound like I’m focusing on negatives, but overall we were very satisfied.

    We stayed on this trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it became a wonderful memory—thank you for preparing such a lovely dessert plate. The Accommodation is located on a hill overlooking downtown Ito, and we enjoyed spectacular views stretching to Hatsushima Island and Mt. Omuro in the distance. The Room was spacious with great views, and with the latest massage chair, a daybed, and a large terrace, we were able to relax at our leisure. The meal was also delicious: a creative kaiseki course blending Japanese and Western styles that made great use of local ingredients. We also appreciated that you prepared onigiri as a late-night snack in addition to the takikomi rice served at dinner. There happened to be a water outage in Ito City that day; it only affected the inability to use the shower in our Room, but you kindly accommodated us by offering private baths and showing thoughtful consideration throughout—we almost felt sorry for all the trouble. All of the staff were extremely courteous and pleasant, which made our entire stay comfortable. We often visit Izu but usually stay around Izu Kogen or East Izu, so Ito had previously been just somewhere we passed through—however, after this stay we’ve completely fallen in love with it. This is an Accommodation we would love to return to if we have another opportunity.

    For your first family trip with children

    We made a Reservation for our 6-month-old baby’s first trip, since they love baths. With so much to pack, it was really helpful that bottle detergent and sterilizing solution were provided. We could enjoy meals and the bath without having to move Rooms, so we didn’t have to worry about our child’s mood or schedule, and the adults could relax as well. The food wasn’t too much, and it was a perfect amount to enjoy all the way through dessert. The sashimi was generous, so sake is a must. The sake tasting set had a decent amount and felt reasonably priced. It was also nice to enjoy some adult-only drinking time for the first time in a while. The route there may be a bit tough, as it’s narrow and winding. Our child stayed in good spirits, and we adults felt refreshed too.

    Perfect for families with babies!

    Since I won’t be able to travel much from March, we stayed at a recommended Ryokan for our last trip with our baby. The view from the Room, the Onsen, and the food were all excellent! I’m glad our baby was able to relax and enjoy the stay.

    For birthday celebrations

    Every year, I travel on my birthday, and this time I visited Sora no Ue Annex. From the warm welcome by the staff upon arrival to the meals and farewell send-off, everyone was very kind. They even put a birthday photo in a photo frame for me as part of their excellent services, making it a truly memorable trip. With only a few Rooms available, I didn’t encounter other guests and enjoyed a peaceful stay. Thank you very much!

    Highly recommended for guests traveling with a baby.

    There were lots of baby care items provided, and I was so grateful it made me regret staying at other Accommodations before. If you stay here, I truly think traveling with a baby will be much easier. You can see your baby from the bath window, and the view was amazing. The bath temperature was just right, so we could get in without adjusting it. The dinner and breakfast were also very delicious. However, the private bath is on the lowest level and requires going up and down a lot of stairs, so if possible I thought the in-Room bath might be better. Since it’s tatami flooring, our child crawled around the whole time. I was nervous because there were shoji screens, but they had been thoughtfully designed so that even if little hands reached for them or pulled at them, it would be fine—really impressive.

    Completely private

    I made a Reservation for the “Yui” Room with an open-air bath. Right after we arrived, the staff came out to assist us at the car and took care of everything. The welcome drink served during check-in was delicious, and we checked in in a Room with a wonderful view. I was truly impressed when we were shown to our Room. The open-air bath was easily one of the best I’ve ever experienced—I enjoyed it five times before check-out. The meals were generous, delicious, and absolutely outstanding.

    29th Wedding Anniversary

    The Accommodation was located up a narrow, fairly steep hill. We arrived a little earlier than planned, and were shown to a sofa in a private dining room with an amazing view. While waiting for our Room to be ready, we enjoyed stylish welcome drinks and sweets. They also took a couple’s photo for us at that time. From the private dining room, we could look down over Sagami Bay and the town of Ito—it was a spectacular view. This time we stayed in the Room called “Sora,” which was very spacious with wonderful views. The in-room open-air Onsen bath with free-flowing natural spring water was not lukewarm at all; it warmed us thoroughly and left our skin smooth. The provided bathrobe was more like a fleece gown rather than the usual towel fabric, but we felt the traditional type might be better as it absorbs sweat more effectively. We appreciated that the refrigerator drinks included alcohol and were complimentary, but there wasn’t enough water—bringing our own 2-liter bottle turned out to be the right choice. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, generous in portion size, and very satisfying. All staff greeted us with bright smiles and provided pleasant service. We stayed here to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary, and thanks to the wonderful Facility and hospitality, we were able to relax completely at ease—it was excellent. At check-out, they gave us sparkling wine as a Diamond benefit along with our photo from check-in in a picture frame; it turned out beautifully and made us very happy. Whether for an anniversary or an ordinary trip, this is an Accommodation where you can be more than satisfied with the Onsen, meals, views, and service.

    Accommodation with panoramic views of the sea in Minami-Ito

    A 5-minute Shuttle Service by car from Minami-Ito Station. Upon arrival, welcome drinks and sweets are provided. The Room offers a panoramic ocean view, and we also enjoyed the scenery from the open-air bath in the Room! Dinner was excellent in both quality and quantity while enjoying the night view. It was a superb Accommodation with great hospitality from the staff. On departure, we were taken to Ito Station.

    A Luxurious Stay

    I was looking for an Accommodation where we could enjoy both breakfast and dinner in our Room and also soak in the Onsen, and that’s how I found this place. Since we’re usually both busy with work and rarely get to relax, we were able to spend truly meaningful time here. The staff’s warm smiles and thoughtful hospitality were wonderful, and with the great weather, we enjoyed the Onsen from right after check-in—listening to crickets and birds while happily escaping the noise of the city. We were also very satisfied to be able to watch plenty of movies, dramas, and anime on Fire TV as part of the Facility amenities. The meals were delicious, and on our way home we found ourselves saying, “Let’s come back again.” Thank you very much for the Shuttle Service to the station after check-out!

    Completely satisfied!

    We stayed here to celebrate our daughter's first birthday. The food, facility, onsen, and staff service were all excellent, making us want to visit again! With a small child, unexpected situations can arise quickly, but the staff was experienced and handled everything calmly and flexibly. We were delighted with the thoughtful touches like a commemorative photo gift and a celebratory dessert plate! Additionally, they provided miso soup without ingredients for our child at breakfast and anticipated that baby food would be needed earlier than the adults' breakfast at 8:00 AM. They even prepared utensils for the baby's meal during dinner the night before—small gestures like these are incredibly appreciated when traveling with a baby. If there was one concern, it would be that due to its location, bugs occasionally hit the window at night causing some noise (laughs). Other than that, everything was perfect. It’s an accommodation where you can stay worry-free even with a baby. Thank you very much!

    Our first trip with our baby was absolutely satisfying.

    We stayed here for our first trip with our 7-month-old baby. The staff's hospitality, the cleanliness of the room, the delicious food, the beautiful scenery, and the bath were all absolutely satisfying. It was such a wonderful accommodation that I wondered if there could be any other place as welcoming for babies. It truly felt like a reward for myself amidst my busy days of parenting. Thank you to all the staff for providing us with such a wonderful time. It was truly an amazing accommodation.

    Prime Location and Exceptional Hospitality

    Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. Despite the last-minute reservation, we were truly delighted with your accommodation of my wife's dietary restrictions and even preparing additional spiny lobster. We are grateful for the high level of hospitality from everyone, including the person who served us dinner. When my wife faced an unexpected situation after dinner, a young staff member kindly assisted her, and she was very thankful for that as well. Thank you so much. I felt that having such attentive and considerate employees is a testament to the owner's excellent training. With only 2-3 groups of guests per day, there was a sense of privacy, and we were able to relax with the wonderful onsen and delicious cuisine that eased our daily fatigue. The view from the open-air bath was stunning, the food was delicious, and it was all reasonably priced with great value for money. We now have another accommodation in Ito we'd love to visit again in the future! Please take care of yourselves, dear owner and staff members!

    It was a bit disappointing.

    The room, view, balcony, and open-air bath were all wonderful. Especially notable was the cherry tree next to the room and the delightful chirping of birds, creating a fantastic environment. However, there was a very disappointing "incident." During dinner, the staff's serving speed showed no understanding or consideration for our eating pace or enjoyment of drinks. They kept bringing dishes one after another without regard for our situation. Despite having more than half a bottle of wine left, they served the final rice and miso soup prematurely—clearly leading to cold food by anyone's judgment. The poor service compelled us to voice a complaint. Despite promoting itself as a place to celebrate special occasions, this efficiency-focused service aimed at reducing staff effort is unacceptable. While it may have been an issue with one young staff member, responsibility lies with either the company assigning them to this special room or their supervisor. Additionally, other staff members' attempts to dismiss it as solely that individual's fault by saying "the young one made a mistake" raised further concerns (though their own service was good). This incident also affected our overall impression of dinner—it fell short for an accommodation in this price range. Breakfast, on the other hand, was excellent (almost as if prepared by a different chef). In conclusion: For its price range and tagline of "celebrating special occasions," this accommodation left us with an impression of being "disappointing."

    It became a wonderful memory.

    I stayed here to celebrate a birthday. Although I arrived by train, the Shuttle Service provided was very helpful. The view from the Room was amazing, offering a stunning panorama of Suruga Bay. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious enough for two people and allowed us to relax completely. The in-room dining experience was exceptional, with freshly caught sashimi from Suruga Bay being particularly outstanding. After the meal, a birthday plate was prepared for us, making it a truly special day. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    I had a relaxing tim...

    I had a relaxing time enjoying the Onsen. I stayed at SORA, and it was excellent. When I informed them about the foods I couldn't eat, they promptly responded via email and accommodated my needs—thank you so much for that. The handwritten message and commemorative photo were heartwarming touches. The meals were delicious, with fresh fish. However, as we usually eat small portions, we couldn't finish everything and felt sorry about leaving food behind.

    We were delighted to secure a reservation for our usual room after a long time. The meals, being part of the year-round menu, were familiar and absolutely delicious. While we occasionally wish to try some different dishes every few years, the quantity and taste, including breakfast, are always satisfying for us. This time, during dessert, we deeply appreciated the thoughtful gesture from your staff—it brought great joy to both my spouse and me. Thank you so much for everything. As I mentioned before, synthetic bathrobes have poor absorbency; I would appreciate it if you could consider switching to cotton or other materials in the future. That said, with the wonderful natural hot spring baths and the unbeatable view from the room, we will continue to enjoy staying here in the future as well.

    It was excellent.

    We stayed in the "Hino" room with our 6-month-old twins. The view and location from the room were wonderful, and the open-air bath attached to the room was excellent. There were many appreciated points such as the availability of bottle sterilization, well-prepared amenities, large futons for babies, and a refrigerator. The staff's service was gentle and kind, with a touch of humor that made our stay enjoyable. The meals were luxurious and delicious both in the evening and the next morning. Both the meat and fish were very tasty.
