    Well-located Hotel

    A convenient Hotel directly connected to the station. This time, I made a Reservation for a larger Room. With double sinks, the bathroom area was very easy to use, and it was a comfortable Room. However, I was concerned about the smell in the Room. It seemed like deodorizing had been done, but the previous odor still lingered. We received drink vouchers for the cafe downstairs in the Hotel. The cakes at this cafe were also delicious.

    Third stay

    I stayed here to watch a professional baseball game—this was my third stay. With the Hotel directly connected to Hakata Station, it’s very convenient, and being able to leave my luggage before check-in is a huge help. The Room is spacious, so I can relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. I also enjoyed a hearty breakfast again this time. Personally, I recommend the Japanese set menu. Yakitori, motsunabe hot pot, sesame yellowtail, takana rice—I end up eating too much every time. I’ve already completed the Reservation for late March next year! I look forward to staying again.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    Despite being right by the station, the Hotel offers an Onsen and a pool. The Onsen is small, but very clean and relaxing. The Room was also very comfortable, and we could even watch YouTube on the smart TV. However, one disappointing point was the lack of flexibility with early check-in. In Tokyo, top-tier hotels often allow guests to enter earlier if housekeeping is finished, but Business Hotels typically do not—and this Hotel felt more like a Business Hotel in that regard. There was no guidance until 2:00 p.m. In the past, when I stayed at the Nikko Hotel on the other side of the station, I received flexible service as an IKYU Diamond member, including a Room upgrade and check-in around 1:00 p.m., so I had hoped for something similar here. That expectation was not met. At minimum, it would have been appreciated if we could use the pool or Onsen earlier; instead, we ended up waiting in the lobby for a long time. Other than that, there were no issues. If asked whether I would return, I would likely choose a place with more flexible service next time.

    I had a wonderful birthday.

    I planned a trip to Fukuoka as a birthday treat for myself, and I had a very comfortable stay at the Miyako Hotel. The Facility and Room were, of course, wonderful, but what I remember most is how courteous and kind all the staff were. Even as a foreign guest, they treated me warmly and gladly accommodated several requests. Thanks to them, it was truly a pleasant trip. I sincerely appreciate it.

    Conveniently located near the station and very comfortable to stay in.

    I had a very comfortable stay at Miyako Hotel Hakata last time, so I didn’t hesitate to make a Reservation here again. It’s conveniently located right in front of the station. I also love the large public bath on the top floor. The Room is clean and well maintained—highly recommended.

    A Disappointing Hotel

    I stayed in a Deluxe King with breakfast for JPY 50,820. At reception, even though I had no luggage to check (it was obvious), a bell captain holding tags forcibly blocked me from approaching the check-in counter. I was taken to the baggage desk and asked to confirm my name there. They were likely checking my status for early check-in, and then told me to proceed to the check-in counter. That is not something I should be told by baggage staff. When I asked if this was standard procedure, they said yes. I was speechless. The inside of the bathtub felt rough, with grime stuck on it. Breakfast was far worse than at a Tokyo Business Hotel where I recently stayed for one-third of the price. The spa staff also spoke Japanese in a way that made it unclear who the guest was just because I am a foreigner—unacceptable. The foreign staff at the Tokyo Business Hotel I stayed at recently were so excellent that it would be unfair to compare. This was my first stay at a Miyako Hotels brand property on its own, and I had high expectations. Instead of relieving my fatigue with one night away, it left me even more exhausted. Around Hakata Station, this place charges top-tier prices but delivers third-rate service and professionalism—or worse.

    The Hotel staff were...

    The Hotel staff were very kind. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of options, and I was able to spend meaningful time relaxing while enjoying the view. Since it’s in the same area of Fukuoka, I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    Not great for the price.

    Because it was high season and I booked a slightly larger Room for a Multiple Night Stay, it was a bit of a splurge, but the stay was disappointing in several ways. Perhaps because I was placed on the lowest floor, the noise from cars outside and people shouting was loud, and I woke up many times during the night. The large window that looked lovely in the photos—something I had been looking forward to—was also a letdown on a low floor, as all you could see up close was the crowd in front of the station. The air conditioning would be on, but while sleeping it would stop blowing air, which made it uncomfortably hot. There was black mold left in the bathroom and it smelled slightly. Having to go fill up water myself also felt like a Business Hotel and took away from the experience. With too much emphasis on efficiency—such as having too few elevators—I felt this is not a Hotel meant for enjoying your stay. Aside from the bathroom, cleaning was thorough and everything felt clean; check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free; the location was very convenient; and there were no shortages of amenities.

    It was comfortable.

    With direct access from the subway, the location was very convenient for sightseeing and getting to the airport. I also liked that there is a dedicated elevator for the spa floor, so I could go to the large public bath comfortably in slippers and loungewear. The price felt just right—not too cheap and not too expensive. If I visit Hakata again, I would definitely like to stay here.

    Because the hotel is...

    Because the hotel is directly connected to the station, you can take the elevator about a 30-second walk from the subway ticket gates and reach the front desk right away. It was extremely hot that day, so this location was truly appreciated. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, all delicious—I was very satisfied. The large public bath was well maintained and comfortable. If I come to Hakata again, I would definitely like to stay here.

    Somewhat disappointing.

    This was my first time using the spa, but the floor was soaking wet, which made it an unpleasant experience. It was probably because children from the pool area were walking around in wet swimsuits. I had enjoyed the clean and comfortable stay overall, so this was disappointing. Also, bottled water has been discontinued and replaced with a system where guests fill their own pitchers at a water station. The pitcher was very small, so I had to go multiple times, which was inconvenient. I would appreciate it if you could at least install a water vending machine.

    No breakfast is needed.

    Comfortable overall, and the location is good. However, the breakfast was really not tasty. No Meals Included seems like the better option.

    A Wonderful Urban Resort

    Despite its extremely convenient location right in front of Hakata Station, the Hotel features an outdoor Onsen pool on a high floor, allowing you to fully enjoy a resort-like atmosphere. There is also an adults-only night pool time, and bar time by the illuminated poolside while taking in Hakata’s night views is pure bliss. Breakfast offers a buffet focused on local specialties, and the Hotel feels comfortable without being overwhelmingly large. At breakfast, I appreciated that the staff at the restaurant entrance politely asked a group of young women who arrived in slippers and loungewear to change into proper attire. Another plus is that the Room has a large full-length mirror. For the past few years, this has been my go-to Hotel whenever I visit Hakata.

    Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality at the breakfast venue.

    I stayed for two nights with my elderly parents and we were able to spend a very comfortable time. Especially at the breakfast venue, we were truly impressed by your attentive service and thoughtful check-ins, not only in arranging our seats.

    It was a wonderful space.

    Although I stayed for only one night, I emailed my requests in advance and received a quick reply. They handled everything very carefully, including the setup on the day. The Onsen spa was quiet in the early morning, so I could use it comfortably. However, the morning sun was quite dazzling, so I felt it would be even better with some kind of countermeasure. Overall, it was very relaxing. The breakfast buffet area felt a bit small, but the restaurant had high ceilings and an open, bright atmosphere, making it pleasant to dine there. It’s close to the station and conveniently located with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. I would like to stay here again when visiting Fukuoka. One minor point: I was slightly disappointed with the view from my room.

    Excellent location

    I always stay here, and the location is excellent—so close to the station and directly connected to the subway. They also store my luggage on the day of departure, which I really appreciate because it lets me shop at the station building hands-free. This time, since there was availability, they upgraded my Room, and I had a wonderful holiday.

    Nothing to complain about!

    I’ve decided not to cut corners when it comes to where I stay while traveling. I have certain preferences, such as a separate sink area, and the Miyako Hotel is the best Hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was my first trip to Kyushu from Hokkaido, and it was truly wonderful. If I come to Fukuoka again, I will definitely stay at the Miyako Hotel. Thank you very much.

    Not having a refrigerator is definitely inconvenient!

    Water is readily available from the water dispenser and ice, but without a refrigerator in the Room, drinks you take with you—such as when going out for golf or heading out in hot weather—end up getting warm. I understand the sustainability efforts, but it is still inconvenient. Otherwise, the service is excellent and the Room is clean, so this is something I would really like to see improved.

    I will use it again.

    The staff’s service and manners were outstanding! Of course the service was great, but even though many of the staff are young, everyone’s movements were graceful and it really showed how well trained they are (sorry if that sounds a bit condescending). The location is convenient, and with a late checkout time it was easy to organize our luggage—even though we ended up buying souvenirs at the last minute. However, the Onsen was uncomfortable due to how some inbound guests used it. Since you receive a key at the counter, I think it would help to reinforce the rules again (e.g., not leaving towels or personal items in the washing area) and to add a designated space in the bathing area for personal belongings. Overall, it was a very good Hotel.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our adult school trip.

    Every year, three classmates and I take a one-night trip in the year’s lucky direction. This year, we were told Fukuoka was the best direction. The hotel is right by Hakata Station on the Shinkansen line, they quickly stored our luggage, and we fully enjoyed the spa and the heated outdoor pool! The early-morning pool before breakfast was especially amazing—I had it all to myself! The amenities were great in both the spa and the guest room. I’d love to stay here again when visiting Hakata!

    Excellent access.

    On my first trip to Hakata, the near-direct subway access from the airport was incredibly convenient. The Room was a standard type, but it was spacious enough and very functional (I loved the fridge you can use without bending down). The amenities were stylish and pleasant, and the staff’s service was also excellent. If I had one request, it would be breakfast—it felt like a typical buffet and didn’t leave much of an impression. With a setup that doesn’t use large trays for carrying plates, I’d like the cutlery to be set on the table in advance, and considering the Hotel’s grade, it would be nice to have at least one made-to-order dish delivered to the table. That said, overall it was comfortable and I was satisfied.

    Comfortable

    Incredibly convenient right in front of Hakata Station. I wasn’t expecting much, but it’s new and comfortable—a functional Hotel. My husband really loved the Onsen spa Facility. I relaxed in the Room bathtub. Even though it’s a city Hotel, we were able to spend our time comfortably and unwind.

    I stay here every time. It’s very convenient to get around from the underground level, and you can go straight to the subway. There are two fast-food restaurants downstairs, so you can quickly grab something to eat, which is very convenient. The rooms are clean, and the staff service is excellent.

    Highly satisfied

    Conveniently located, with a clean Facility and Room. The welcome drink service was a nice touch, and there was plenty of time during our stay to enjoy the pool and indoor bath, so we were able to relax thoroughly. Breakfast offered many appealing options, including Hakata specialties. We also enjoyed two kinds of smoothies, and the bread (possibly carefully selected from Kyoto) was delicious. We would definitely like to visit again.

    I will stay here again when I visit Hakata.

    I stayed here on a trip to Hakata. Even on rainy days, you can use the underground passage to get from Hakata Station to the Hotel without needing an umbrella, which was very convenient. The drink service could be taken out to my Room, which was great. The toilet and bath were separate as well. I would like to stay here again when I visit Hakata.

    Very convenient.

    It was very convenient, just a short walk from the Chikushi Exit ticket gates. The bar was also lovely with high ceilings, and the bath was great with a steam sauna (personally, I prefer a dry sauna). The toner and lotion were from John Masters as well. What was disappointing was that even though it was a birthday stay, there wasn’t even a simple “Happy Birthday.”

    Excellent access.

    I stayed with my grandchild. The staff’s warm, smiling service helped my middle-school grandchild relax completely. The large public bath on the top floor was spacious and never crowded, so we could soak at ease. With direct access to the station and a large public bath as well, I couldn’t help but admire what a wonderful Hotel it is. Breakfast was delicious, the Room was comfortable, and it was the kind of Hotel where you want to stay right up until check-out. However, we had another appointment and had to check out reluctantly, which was truly disappointing. Because we arrived late and left early, we couldn’t enjoy the welcome drink, but instead they kindly gave each of us two large Yakult drinks—an unexpected gesture that really touched us. Next time we stay, I’d like to visit with more time to spare.

    A Hotel Where You Can Enjoy Hakata Cuisine

    I stayed here on my trip to Hakata because it was conveniently located near Hakata Station. Since it’s in the city center, you may not be able to expect much of a view from the guest rooms due to the surrounding buildings, but I enjoyed watching planes landing at Fukuoka Airport from the top-floor restaurant. Breakfast was great, with plenty of Kyushu dishes such as mentaiko, yakitori, chicken rice, and motsunabe. The omelet with mentaiko sauce was especially delicious. The large public bath was smaller than I expected, but towels were provided in the changing room, which made it convenient. Housekeeping during my Multiple Night Stay was thorough, and I had a very comfortable stay. I felt this Hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting Hakata who wants to enjoy a Kyushu-style breakfast.
