    Your First Furano Stay

    This is a small, cozy Hotel. The breakfast was delicious, with many homemade items and especially tasty vegetables—highly recommended. The wine tasting and treats were also a warm, thoughtful touch and left a great impression. There are not many restaurants nearby, so we recommend booking with dinner included.

    Is Japanese not being understood?

    After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, we arrived. At check-in, we were treated as if there was no Reservation, which was unpleasant. This has never happened to us before. I understand the staff may be foreign, but they should be trained in proper communication. This was the worst Accommodation we have stayed at so far. The Room, meals, and view were also poor, and we will not return.

    The staff were court...

    The staff were courteous and made us feel at ease. The Room did not offer a view, but it was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, including a milk tasting and desserts. We also appreciated that the washing machines and dryers were free to use.

    Great value for money

    Facility: Small, but well maintained overall and very clean. Meals: Breakfast only. Dinner seems aimed at international guests and felt quite overpriced. Bath: Small, but clean and not crowded. Overall, I feel it offers good value for the price.

    The Room was wonderf...

    The Room was wonderful. The high ceiling made it feel very open and spacious. The food was also delicious!! The corn mayonnaise pizza was outstanding—I was truly impressed! Also, the baguette I ordered had a lovely wheat aroma and was more than delicious enough on its own! For breakfast, the chicken soup curry had great spices and was really tasty! The pork miso soup—maybe pork really is best—was No. 1 among all I’ve ever had! As expected for a winery Hotel, the wine was incredibly good as well! The staff were very pleasant, which made the stay even better. One thing I noticed was a slight odor coming from the kitchen drain. I feel this happens fairly often in Rooms with kitchens (not only at this Hotel). I’d like to see this improved. It would also be nice to have a diffuser with a pleasant scent—good fragrance helps you relax... Everything else was excellent, so I’d love to stay again someday. Next time, I plan to arrive with plenty of room in my stomach and fully enjoy the food and wine.

    A Trip to Furano Just Before Lavender Season

    On this day, we departed from Sapporo and visited the Blue Pond and Shikisai no Oka before checking in a little early. It felt like there were many international guests. The cozy lobby was thoughtfully arranged with welcome drinks and a carefully selected collection of books, making it easy to relax. The breakfast milk tasting was especially memorable—I could really tell how the flavor differed by region. I also felt there was a lot of creativity in offering a wide variety of soups, breads, and desserts to sample. Thanks to that, we were able to fully enjoy Furano.

    It was our wedding anniversary!!!

    My wife said, “You’re going all the way from Nagoya to watch interleague games at ES CON FIELD—are you only going for baseball?” So after watching three games, we started looking for a sightseeing spot we could visit for one night from Sapporo. And then my wine-loving wife found it… HITOHANA! We’d always wanted to visit Furano at least once, so the decision was easy. I was feeling a bit down that day because our favorite team had been losing overall, but after arriving at the Hotel, we were welcomed by kind staff and a wine tasting, which immediately lifted our spirits. Dinner was not only delicious and perfectly paired with wine, but also beautifully presented—we were thrilled with how stunning it looked. By coincidence, our stay fell on our wedding anniversary—our 25th—so it became a wonderful memory. We heard that Furano’s vegetables will be even more delicious as the season progresses. Next time, we’ll come back here during that season. We bought some wine as a souvenir at the Hotel and will enjoy it at home. Thank you very much.

    Great value for the price.

    It was a clean Hotel, and the breakfast was delicious. Since it is not an Onsen, the large public bath was not very crowded. It is close to Furano Station, so we went into Furano for dinner. It was a shame that the parking lot is a bit far away. Some inbound guests were a little noisy.

    Excellent!

    This was my second stay. I’m happy that I can relax in the lounge at check-in. It felt like there were more breakfast options than a few years ago. Everything was delicious. I’d like to stay here again when visiting Furano. The friends who stayed for the first time also really liked it!

    It was great.

    The Room was clean, and I didn’t feel any inconvenience during my stay. If I had to mention one thing, the coffee cups were too small and a bit difficult to use. The parking lot is a little far away, but it wasn’t an issue. Thank you very much.

    Has anything changed since before?

    I had read that there used to be an evening winery tour, and that until recently it was replaced by a wine briefing, but now it’s tasting only. Since you can do plenty of tastings at other wineries run by the same company, there isn’t much benefit to staying here anymore. I also dreamed of enjoying a delicious wine-paired dinner here, but the set course menu is gone and it’s now à la carte. Even that à la carte selection—shabu-shabu, sushi, pizza, etc.—didn’t feel like food that pairs well with wine. For a Hotel operated by a winery, I didn’t feel there was any point in staying. It’s especially disappointing because the breakfast was good. Also, guests from overseas across the hall and next door were constantly going in and out of their Room, and a group of men kept their door open while looking over at us, which made it hard to relax. I wish more consideration had been given to Room assignments. You can sit and enjoy tastings until 10 p.m., but overseas guests with children were making a lot of noise in the tasting area until then as well—there were many such inbound tourists. At another Hotel in Furano where I stayed the next day, none of this happened, so this small Hotel may be geared more toward overseas visitors. I don’t think I will stay here again.

    The wine and dining are exceptional.

    A small hotel run by a winery offers complimentary wine tasting and snacks in the lobby. Before dinner, we joined a wine tasting event where we enjoyed several types of wine while learning from the chef, which was a delightful experience. The meals featured many ingredients from Furano, with the appetizer platter being impressively generous and delicious. The main meat dish was also excellent, and the dessert at the end left us completely satisfied. We would love to visit this accommodation again in another season to enjoy more delicious offerings. On the day we stayed, fireworks were launched at the ski resort nearby. We stepped outside and were lucky to see them up close. The public bath is not an Onsen and does not have facilities like saunas.

    The private Hotel atmosphere was excellent.

    The free laundry service was very convenient. The drink service was also excellent. Dinner was exquisite, with each dish carefully prepared and beautifully presented, allowing us to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. The only downside was that the parking lot was a bit far and located uphill, but overall, it was a very stylish and satisfying Hotel.

    A Lovely Accommodation at a Winery in Furano

    The star rating was given as "4" based on the same criteria used for hotels exclusively managed as accommodations. However, considering it is operated alongside a winery, I personally feel it deserves a perfect "5." From check-in until 10 PM, coffee, juice, and wine are available for unlimited enjoyment! Light snacks are also provided. Dinner includes a limited course menu and à la carte options to choose from. About 80% of the staff are international, but their hospitality was warm and welcoming. Occasionally there were moments of insufficient explanation (for example, as mentioned in other reviews: during dinner service, they served an incredible variety of appetizers paired with wine. Later on came the main dish—Furano beef steak—but since the initial explanation focused only on appetizers, we ended up ordering additional hot dishes unnecessarily. When informed later that steak would follow as the main course, we were surprised! Unfortunately missed the chance to cancel extra orders but enjoyed everything because it was so delicious. Still wished they had explained the course beforehand! I shared this feedback with staff). Later that staff member sincerely apologized saying “I’m sorry; my mistake!” They genuinely tried hard to communicate well throughout our stay. Both wine and food were truly delightful—so much so that any minor issues could be forgiven (laughs). It was such an enjoyable accommodation experience overall. As for their wines—it’s subjective depending on personal taste preferences—and they've only been making wine for eight years so far. However sustainable grape cultivation using goats reflects eco-friendly practices likely beneficial health-wise too! Based upon tasting session explanations & samples provided—I purchased some bottles tailored towards my husband who loves drinking good wines passionately! This philosophy feels essential moving forward within Japan today; wishing them success becoming long-lasting winery-accommodation legacy establishments! Thank you very much again—for your outstanding hospitality!

    Very good Hotel

    It was a very comfortable and wonderful hotel, but I felt it was unfortunate that some guests had very poor manners. I had unpleasant experiences such as people rinsing their hair in the large public bath or occupying all the washing machines. It might be because some international guests are unaware of Japanese etiquette, but I hope the hotel will address this properly. Although there were notices, they seemed too small, unclear, or overly decorative to effectively convey the message. I kindly request improvements on this matter.

    The dinner is extraordinary.

    Discover Furano Wine and Vegetables

    The accommodation feels new and has a clean atmosphere. The lounge corner next to the front desk offers unlimited wine and soft drinks, which is very appealing. Be sure to join the wine tasting event starting at 16:00. You can enjoy detailed explanations about Furano wine along with tastings, making it a meaningful experience. For dinner, we recommend the Furano Bistro Course. It features dishes abundantly prepared with Furano's vegetables and meat, served generously. Breakfast is buffet-style, where you can enjoy comparing three types of local milk—a delightful experience as well. This accommodation offers a unique charm different from typical ryokans or hotels in Hokkaido, focusing on Furano wine and local ingredients as its theme.

    A calm and lovely Hotel

    We stay at this accommodation every year as a family. The staff's attentiveness and the chef's hospitality are excellent. The meals are delicious, and we enjoyed them with excitement thanks to the creative presentation. This is a hotel we would love to stay at again when visiting Furano.

    We stayed here while...

    We stayed here while traveling south from Wakkanai to Furano via Asahikawa in Hokkaido. We chose this place based on the good food reviews. After check-in, we enjoyed wine tasting and a variety of soft drinks in the lounge. The public bath had one indoor bath, which was not crowded but lacked a view, so we didn’t spend much time there before heading to dinner. The variety of appetizers surprised us! They kindly adjusted for ingredients we didn’t like, and the three-tiered stand came with illustrated explanations of each dish, making it enjoyable both visually and taste-wise. There were also several hors d'oeuvres on a tray; however, since there was no explanation for these dishes, even a brief description during serving would have been appreciated. Although portions were small, by the end of the meal we felt quite full. The main course was steak; however, it felt slightly overcooked with dry edges that seemed too done. Considering how excellent the appetizers were, adding some event-like elements to both the main course and dessert could have enhanced our experience further. Lastly, we noticed significant dust accumulation above the phone near the elevator area which caught our attention negatively.

    Delicious meals and a neat Hotel

    It was a cozy-sized hotel, but I was able to enjoy a relaxing stay. Dinner featured a variety of dishes from the sea and mountains, perfectly paired with drinks. Breakfast also offered plenty of options, allowing us to savor ingredients from Hokkaido. The staff provided courteous service. The wine tasting and snacks available near the front desk were a delightful touch. However, at night, part of the floor in the large public bath area felt slippery, and the floor in the changing room was wet. Since there are quite a few international guests staying here, occasional cleaning might be helpful.

    A Hotel Perfect for Wine Lovers

    I stayed in a Superior Twin room. It was spacious enough to relax, and the large TV was very satisfying. The lounge offers inclusive wine and coffee, which is a great perk for wine lovers. Dinner featured a wide variety of appetizers with generous portions that left me full; I was worried if I could manage the main course and dessert, but everything was delicious. Breakfast was served as a buffet with fewer options but high quality, leaving me satisfied. Both the lounge and restaurant are compact yet exude a modern atmosphere.

    I stayed with my mother. The hotel was very clean and relaxing. Near the entrance, there was a wine-tasting area with various options, and we enjoyed comparing them. Although I used to think Furano wines were watery, the wine here was truly delicious. The lounge offered juice, coffee, snacks, and a comfortable space to relax. The dinner course had an impressive volume. I thought about ordering à la carte if it wasn’t enough, but I ended up completely full! The dishes were rich in vegetables and all tasted amazing. Personally, the Aurora sauce stood out—it was incredibly delicious! It seemed like even the mayonnaise might have been homemade? I wish they would sell it! The bath area was spotless! The room was comfortable with a great bed for sleeping well. Breakfast surprised me—it felt so elaborate for a morning meal! There were beautifully presented cold dishes that looked like something from a department store deli counter, along with soups and various types of bread and desserts that didn’t feel like typical breakfast items at all. It left me fully satisfied from the start of the day. I’d love to enjoy their cuisine more by having a Multiple Night Stay here next time. The food is definitely one of this hotel's highlights. Service was excellent; staff members were attentive and made our stay pleasant throughout. The front desk team also provided great care and attention to guests. I will definitely stay here again!

    It was a satisfying Hotel.

    I stayed for two nights with my wife. We arrived at Asahikawa Airport and drove to the accommodation by rental car, but since our flight landed after 7:30 PM, we ended up checking in past 9 PM. While we parked in front of the hotel to check-in, the parking lot was located a bit further away and was hard to find at night (and likely during the day as well). It would be helpful if there were clearer parking instructions near the hotel entrance. The check-in process was smooth, and our room was clean and well-maintained. However, one issue we noticed inside the room was that water remained in the kettle after cleaning. This is something I’ve never encountered before during my stays at other accommodations. I had to rinse it out thoroughly, boil water once, discard it, and then use it. The public bath was a highlight of our stay; perhaps because we used it early in the morning on both days, it felt like having a private bath all to ourselves—very relaxing! The shower in our room also worked well; however, I found that the shampoo and body soap provided in-room had a much better fragrance compared to those available in the public bath. It would be great if these could also be offered there. While there were hair dryers available at the public bath area, there were no brushes provided. This meant returning to our room for drying hair properly afterward. Instead of providing toothbrushes (which may not be necessary), adding brushes might enhance convenience for guests. We missed out on attending the evening wine tasting event due to timing but appreciated being able to enjoy delicious Furano wine until 10 PM—it felt like an excellent perk despite limited quantities being served. One minor inconvenience occurred when trying coffee from a machine located in their lobby—it wasn’t functioning properly during our visit. Although staff kindly managed one cup manually for us initially—they couldn’t prepare another—and as coffee enthusiasts ourselves ended up seeking alternatives outside instead! Prompt repairs here would improve guest satisfaction significantly! Lastly regarding views—the window scenery wasn’t particularly enjoyable unfortunately—but overall considering its proximity near ski resorts making winter stays convenient alongside serving as good base exploring nearby attractions even off-season—I’d say this accommodation offers solid value overall!

    Found a wonderful Hotel in Furano.

    Stayed in a Deluxe Room with breakfast and dinner included. The room had a luxurious feel, with high ceilings providing a sense of openness. Amenities were well-equipped. The restaurant's cuisine was outstanding, featuring local ingredients that were not only visually appealing but also of exceptional quality. With an on-site winery, guests can enjoy wine tasting as well. Conveniently located near ski resorts in winter and close to major tourist attractions during other seasons. I plan to stay here whenever I visit Furano in the future.

    Accommodation to Enjoy Winery Wines

    Accommodation where you can enjoy wines from the winery "Domaine Raison." A wine tasting session is held from 4:00 PM, offering the chance to sample 10 different wines (starting at 4:30 PM would be even better). Wines you like during the tasting can be ordered by glass or bottle during dinner. While many of the dishes are pre-prepared, they are delicious. Best of all, staying overnight allows you to enjoy as much fine wine as you'd like without worrying about drinking and driving. It would have been even better if wine recommendations were provided to pair with the meals. After dinner, purchasing cheese at the front desk and pairing it with red wine available for tasting in the lobby is an incredibly delightful experience that’s hard to stop enjoying. However, since there’s only one type of red wine available for tasting, it might have been nicer if dessert-like options such as red wine and cheese could also be ordered directly at the restaurant. Since this accommodation offers such excellent wines, more suggestions tailored to complement their wines would enhance the experience further.

    A small, high-quality Hotel with excellent hospitality.

    I stayed for 4 nights during the New Year holidays. More than half of the guests were from Asia due to the season, but the quality of the guests was high, and I was able to spend my time comfortably. Personally, I found it very helpful that the laundry was free to use. Although the hotel was fully booked and the laundry was constantly in use, there were two machines available, so I could use them after waiting for about 30 minutes. I was very satisfied with the facilities, meals, and services, but I was particularly touched by the hospitality of the staff. All foreign staff members spoke Japanese and were very accommodating. As expected from a hotel that operates a winery, the meals were focused on local production for local consumption, and everything was fresh and delicious. The shuttle service to the ski resort was free and operated on a timely basis, and I did not feel any inconvenience with the distance to the ski resort (I used the Furano area). The shuttle bus to the ski resort can sometimes be fully booked, so advance reservation is recommended. Although it was a long stay of 4 nights, they listened to my preferences for dinner and made arrangements so that I wouldn't get bored. During the New Year holidays, when outside restaurants were closed, I was able to do everything at the hotel. Under the premise that I would like to use it again, if I had to make a request, it would be nice to have a stick vacuum cleaner to collect the dust on the floor that seems to come out of the laundry dryer. I hope to have the opportunity to stay again next year. Thank you very much.

    The hotel is new and...

    The hotel is new and clean. The cleaning was thorough, and there was nothing unpleasant. (My companion seemed to be bothered by a smell, but I didn't notice it.) The breakfast had a variety of options, and even the desserts were delicious. Just one thing, there was noise from the next (?) room until around 11:30 PM, which was a bit concerning. There were loud noises like something banging against the wall (enough to make the wall vibrate a little) and intermittent tapping sounds until around 11:30 PM. But overall, it was a very good hotel. Thank you very much.
