    Summer Stay

This was my first stay here in summer. The weather was a bit uncertain—cloudy with some rain—so it wasn’t too hot. As a result, I was able to relax comfortably in the Onsen and enjoy the meals as well, making it the perfect holiday. I would like to visit again.

It was a truly luxurious and rich stay.

I was a bit worried about traffic when driving during the Obon holiday, but I wanted to explore Nishi-Izu freely for the first time in a while, so I decided to go by car. As a result, we arrived close to 5:00 pm, and it was a shame that things felt a little rushed before dinner starting at 6:00 pm. However, it was truly luxurious and delightful to be able to relax and enjoy the wonderful views at the dining venue—just like from the Room—while still having privacy. The in-Room Onsen bath was amazing. For some reason no insects came near, and I enjoyed it comfortably many times until the next morning. We requested breakfast to start at 8:30 am, but that didn’t mean we slept in—we took over an hour from just after 7:00 am to stroll along the Dogashima promenade right in front of us. It made breakfast taste even better. This location is truly rich. We also really appreciated the 12:00 pm check-out time. If you have to finish breakfast quickly, pack up, tidy the Room, and check out at 10:00 am, it feels like bringing everyday life with you and you can’t fully enjoy your stay. Thanks again for such a luxurious and rich stay.

    The service was good, but...

The Room did not feel clean, and the meals were very average. We were disappointed because Fugaku Gunjo, another property in the same group, was excellent. We will not be returning.

    Although we arrived ...

Although we arrived early, we were promptly shown to our Room as the cleaning had already been completed. We knew in advance that a private dining Room would be prepared for meals, but it was even more spacious and comfortable than we expected, and we truly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The main Room was designed like a Maldives Resort Hotel, with a large bath and a wonderful view. There was also a water dispenser and a separate ice maker, which we really appreciated. All of the food was delicious; however, dinner felt like too much for us in our sixties. On the other hand, breakfast came with many side dishes, and my husband seemed to feel there wasn’t quite enough rice. From the manager to all of the staff, everyone was genuinely pleasant, making our stay comfortable from start to finish. We would love to visit again in winter.

You get what you pay for—good and bad.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. As mentioned in the Review, there were many young international staff members. There were a few issues such as incorrect explanations about the meals, but their sincere attitude toward their work was evident and left a positive impression. The person providing guidance was also friendly and wonderful. The Onsen was excellent, and if it weren’t midsummer, I would want to enjoy it for much longer. However, there is room for improvement with the meals. Although it was a Japanese course menu, the seasoning did not feel professional and did not suit my taste. On the second day, the chef’s special dish was crab; it appeared unprepared and was served soaked in water from thawing, which was disappointing. Being served similar flavors repeatedly (such as simmered dishes) becomes monotonous. Also, the space between the washbasin bowl and faucet is extremely narrow and quite inconvenient to use. The rug in the Room also shows noticeable stains and seems due for replacement. Considering the accommodation cost, the service and atmosphere are reasonable; however, given the location in Nishi-Izu, I didn’t feel strongly enough to want to come back to this area specifically just to stay at this Hotel again. I also did not receive any Diamond benefits. There are few Rooms so it is quiet. The beach, Dogashima Marine activities, restaurants, and convenience stores are within walking distance; however, I felt that as a Hotel it would be even better if there were one more strength that isn’t affected by weather or season. When I visit this area again, I think this Accommodation will be on my list of options, so I hope to see further improvements. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Two typhoons

With two typhoons approaching, we debated whether to cancel our weekend stay. However, wanting to relive the wonderful experience from our previous visit, we decided to go ahead despite the storm. Fortunately, we arrived without being affected by the typhoons. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, it was a truly memorable night. Thank you sincerely every time.

    A cozy, cocoon-like comfort

Although we arrived on a rainy day, the staff kindly met us at the car with umbrellas. Check-in was in a spacious private Room, and our relaxing time began as we enjoyed sweets and a welcome drink. The ocean view from the window was the best interior décor. The Room itself was spacious with a great feel, and it was wonderful to be able to soak in the open-air bath visible from the Room whenever we liked during our stay. Dinner was beautifully presented—both the tableware and dishes were lovely—and everything tasted delicious with generous portions, so we were very satisfied. Breakfast was also beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. If I could ask for one luxury, I wish the drinks in the refrigerator had been complimentary, and it would have been even nicer if sparkling wine and sweets had been included as well. The coffee from the coffee machine wasn’t very good; it would have been better if it were something like a Nespresso machine.

    I booked this Accomm...

I booked this Accommodation, Mayu Nibari, because I wanted to see the scenery and sunset at Dogashima. By chance, it was a day when two typhoons were approaching at the same time, so I was feeling half discouraged, but all of the staff came out with umbrellas to warmly welcome us, which really lifted my spirits. The manager kindly showed us around the two Rooms we would be using and explained everything in detail. The view right in front of us was amazing! If it had been sunny, it might have been three times better (of course, that’s not the Accommodation’s fault). At dinner, the staff carefully explained each dish (including staff from overseas—your Japanese was excellent), and everything was delicious! I soaked in the open-air Onsen bath in our Room five times and felt wonderfully warmed up. For an Onsen lover like me, it was perfect. When the weather is clear again, I’d love to visit again and watch the Dogashima sunset from our Room. My university-aged grandchild was also very impressed. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

    I booked this Accomm...

I booked this Accommodation for the first time because I wanted to enjoy seafood in a dining spot in Nishi-Izu, and it has Rooms with an open-air bath. The Hotel is located very close to the sightseeing boat pier. Just across the road, the sea and a small island are right in front of you. Since I wanted to relax and enjoy the open-air bath, I chose a Plan without meals. For dinner and breakfast, I drove a short distance to a supermarket to buy sushi and sashimi, then checked in after 3:00 p.m. Most of the staff were from overseas, and they provided polite service. The Room was spacious, and although the open-air bath was heated water (not natural hot spring), I was able to soak and relax. The amenities were well stocked; even the toothbrush was an electric toothbrush. There is also a water dispenser in the Room. The two rocking chairs next to the open-air bath were a nice touch—but both seats had dead insects on them... The yukata were neatly folded, but there was long hair tangled in them... Drinks such as beer, cola, and tea are available in the refrigerator but charged separately afterward. One bottle of cola was 400 yen. At this Accommodation Fee level, that feels unacceptable; it would be better to have vending machines at market prices in the lobby instead. I’m grateful that I was able to relax here. I don’t expect excessive service, but I do want cleanliness and appropriately priced facilities/services.

    Perfect for solo travelers.

I happened to find availability, so I made a last-minute Reservation that morning and stayed for 1 night/2 days without meals as one adult. It was my first time staying at Mayu Nibari. My impression can be summed up in one word: outstanding. This is an exceptional Accommodation where even solo travelers can stay, with an in-room open-air Onsen bath overlooking the sea. With only six groups per day, I was able to enjoy quiet time to myself. I arrived about 10 minutes before check-in, and while I was taking photos outside, the owner and an international staff member kindly came out to welcome me. I was then shown to the second room for check-in, enjoyed a welcome dessert, and afterward moved to the main room. The moment you arrive at the main room… anyone can’t help but smile. The Room and location far exceeded my expectations. It was simply amazing. The owner kindly shared information about nearby restaurants and cruise conditions, and whenever I passed the international staff members they greeted me with a smile—everyone was pleasant, and the service was excellent. There are also convenience stores and places to buy souvenirs within walking distance, and a bus stop nearby, which made it very convenient. All amenities were provided. To keep this from getting too long: as others have mentioned, there is a water dispenser in the Room along with multiple types of loungewear; there were plenty of towels; and since there is an open-air bath in the Room, having a bathrobe was especially appreciated. The open-air bath uses hot spring water close to 50°C; I was told it cools down into the 40s due to outside air temperature. Even during this season it felt slightly hot during warmer daytime hours, but from late afternoon onward it was comfortable without adding water. I used the in-room open-air bath about five times—and honestly wished I could have used it even more. Despite my sudden Reservation, thank you very much for everything. It was my first time visiting Dogashima, but I really liked it—it’s somewhere I’d love to return to. When I do, I would definitely like to stay at Mayu Nibari again.

The free-flowing natural hot spring bath is excellent.

The view from the Room was wonderful. The in-Room bath was also great, making it perfect for a relaxing stay in. There weren’t many items in the refrigerator, but there’s a convenience store nearby, so it wasn’t an issue. It would be even better if the amenities were a bit more well stocked.

Moved by breathtaking sunsets, heartfelt hospitality, and exquisite kaiseki cuisine

I finally visited Mayu Futahari in Nishi-Izu, a place I had long dreamed of, and this time stayed in the Room “Konpeki.” From the moment I stepped inside, I was overwhelmed by the panoramic view of the sea at Dogashima right in front of me—especially at sunset, when the beauty felt like the finest feast. As soon as my car arrived at the Accommodation, three staff members came out to greet me, and throughout my stay I received consistently warm, heartfelt hospitality. Seeing how sincerely and thoughtfully the international staff cared for guests—beyond any scripted service—made me feel truly comforted. The entire property was impeccably clean down to every detail, and all amenities were wonderful and made the stay feel luxurious. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were excellent and provided a perfect time to refresh. Just one note: on the removable privacy cover for the wood-deck railing, a screw on the left side looked like it might fall out; it would be reassuring if this could be repaired for future guests (and it would be even more comfortable if the sensor faucet at the washbasin responded a bit better). I was also looking forward to dinner. I heard that there has been a change in head chef and that meals are now served as Japanese kaiseki—and it was absolutely the right move. The number of dishes was just right, with an elegant portion size that allowed us to enjoy everything through to the end. The sashimi was excellent, and my spouse and I were especially moved by how delicious “Deep-fried Spanish mackerel with aromatic vegetables and potato sauce” was. Overall satisfaction is an unquestionable “5.” I would love to return again for both this outstanding kaiseki cuisine and these breathtaking views.

I felt that the quality of the meals was inconsistent.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Overall, the staff were courteous; however, most of them were non-Japanese. They do speak Japanese, but it was often difficult to understand them—especially when they explained the dishes. In some cases, the explanations were clearly incorrect (for example, describing okara as yuba), and they did not seem to notice until we had to point out that it was completely different. The Room is very well equipped, but perhaps due to insufficient maintenance, issues such as peeling paint and poor fitting/alignment in various places (e.g., screens and doors used to conceal the refrigerator) stood out. The rug was also dirty. While general cleaning did not seem problematic overall, we felt that maintenance—particularly of the furnishings—was not being kept up adequately. As for the bath, the open-air bath was too hot every time and we had to add cold water before we could get in. As a result, even though it is 100% free-flowing hot spring water, that benefit is essentially lost. We stayed in mid-May, but there were also many insects; we needed mosquito coils. Only small coils were provided in the Room, and on top of that the lighter for lighting them was broken (it was replaced after we requested it). What disappointed us most was the food—the quality was inconsistent. The first night’s dinner did not meet our expectations; on the second day both breakfast and dinner were satisfying; however, breakfast on the third day was particularly poor. Aside from grilled fish and a small sashimi side dish, everything else felt like store-bought rice accompaniments. The soup—which should have been clam miso soup—was served as clear soup with almost nothing in it; there were only shells left inside.. It was extremely disappointing. For an Accommodation of this class, this level of dining is truly unacceptable. While dinner at least comes with a menu list, I strongly recommend having breakfast content checked more thoroughly by senior management-level staff. Lastly, while I understand there may be limits regarding an open-air bath setting itself, I think you should check the insect situation more carefully. We also saw quite a few unpleasant-looking bugs.. We do not expect to return ourselves; however, the location and view from the windows are truly outstanding. Since there may be few other options of this class in Nishi-Izu area as well، we hope you will continue improving operations so this can become an even better Facility.

A Quiet Accommodation for Adults Only

We stayed for two nights and three days to celebrate my 70th birthday at Mayu Nibari. I had long wanted to stay here, and the experience exceeded my expectations by far. We arrived a little after 2:00 p.m., before check-in, and the moment we parked, about five staff members greeted us with warm smiles. From that instant, I could feel the high standard of hospitality at this Accommodation. There were also staff from Sri Lanka and Myanmar, and it was truly memorable to see how earnestly they served us while doing their best in Japanese. More than words, their sincere wish for guests to feel comfortable came through clearly, which made me feel warmly welcomed. Seeing the international staff take on the challenge of working in Japan—especially in hospitality, where etiquette and attentiveness are so valued—also gave me a great deal of encouragement. Their constant smiles and wholehearted service in an unfamiliar environment were wonderful, and I felt they play a major role in creating the welcoming atmosphere of this Accommodation. In our Room, the first thing that caught my eye was the large beams running across the ceiling, giving a strong sense of warmth and solidity. The beams carried a powerful presence built over many years, making it feel like more than just a stay—it felt special, as if we were spending time within traditional Japanese architectural beauty. At the same time, the bathroom area and amenities were extremely comfortable; old charm and modern comfort were beautifully balanced. The open-air bath in our Room was also outstanding. Soaking while looking out at the quiet scenery was pure bliss. I will never forget relaxing on the terrace afterward as well. Dinner was slightly different from what I had imagined from watching YouTube before our trip; rather than flashy creative dishes, it focused on delicate cuisine that honored traditional Japanese flavors. Still, each course reflected careful craftsmanship, with gentle seasoning that brought out each ingredient’s natural taste—I was very satisfied. It wasn’t only visually beautiful; it also conveyed a sense of seasonality and local bounty. I also felt that the calm pace throughout this Accommodation is one of its greatest charms. The staff did not intrude unnecessarily, yet they looked after us with perfect discretion—thanks to that ideal distance and attentiveness, we could truly relax throughout our stay. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again in another season as well. My sincere thanks to all of your staff members.”

    The sunset is amazing!!

The sunset view from the second Room was breathtaking. Watching the sky gradually change colors felt magical and truly wonderful. The Room was spacious, and the furniture and decor were calm and tasteful, so we could relax comfortably. The Room Facility was also great, with a water dispenser and an ice maker. The meals were beautifully presented, tasted excellent, and we were very satisfied. The open-air bath was amazing, but it had an insulating cover to keep the temperature from dropping. When we removed it, many small pieces of deteriorated aluminum were floating in the tub. We skimmed them out with a net before bathing, so it wasn’t a problem for us, but since it’s used outdoors, I imagine it deteriorates quickly. I hope it can be replaced regularly. The staff member was from overseas and not yet fully comfortable with Japanese, but served us very politely with a wonderful smile. Please keep up the good work. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We will visit again in a different season.

The hospitality and service were excellent.

Overall, this was a truly wonderful trip for us. I brought my mother to express my gratitude for Mother’s Day. As other Reviews mention, the service was provided by an international manager and staff, but their Japanese—using polite language—was excellent in both expression and understanding, so there were no issues at all. In addition, we were deeply impressed by thoughtful gestures beyond standard service, such as “Shall I take a photo for you?” and “Let me guide you to the spot with the best view.” Below are my comments for reference. [Guest Room & Amenities] Due to the layout from the entrance, we inevitably had to pass between the sofa and TV each time we went back and forth to the bathroom or toilet. This meant repeatedly walking in front of family members who were relaxing, so I found the furniture placement disappointing. Also, while there were plenty of bath towels and face towels prepared in anticipation of multiple baths, there were very few places to hang or store used towels, which made it difficult to manage them after use. To fully enjoy a special getaway experience, I think it would have been better if the layout provided ample space for bags and used towels. [Service] Absolutely flawless. The manager was from Sri Lanka and our Room attendant was from Indonesia; both had excellent Japanese skills and outstanding attentiveness—we were truly moved. There was also thoughtful consideration such as a Mother’s Day message card. The hospitality was top-notch! [Onsen / Bath] The open-air bath attached to our Room had good temperature control and cleanliness. [Facility / Equipment] The quality of indoor slippers and sandals for wearing around the Hotel was excellent. The equipment itself was great as well; however, since everything is state-of-the-art, guests aged 80+ may find some devices difficult to operate. [Meals] The portions and ingredient quality were good, and everything tasted delicious. However, given that we traveled all this way and considering this price range Hotel category, I assumed that spiny lobster would be included somewhere—either in a cooked dish or as sashimi. I chose this Hotel specifically because my mother loves spiny lobster (Ise-ebi) and abalone (awabi), so it was disappointing that these ingredients were not used—and that there was no explanation anywhere about it. If there had been at least some clarification beforehand, we could have ordered them as an option in advance. [Overall Satisfaction] Taking everything into account above, I rated our stay 4 stars. The service quality, hygiene standards—and above all—the spectacular views are exceptional. You can visit with peace of mind.

Although the views and meals are excellent, there are a few drawbacks...

The automatic faucet at the sink is not very responsive, so hardly any water comes out, which is stressful. Also, while the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room is nice, a large number of stink bugs got into the tub and stuck to the screen door—possibly because of the dense trees nearby—so I could only use it once. During meals we spend time in a secondary Room, but when staff were stationed near the entrance, I was bothered by staff talking noisily among themselves. All staff were Asian foreign nationals and it was advertised that they were well trained, which was disappointing. Still, the view of Dogashima and the delicious food are outstanding.

Prime location just in front of the Dogashima Cave Cruise boarding point

We stayed here during the Golden Week holidays. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the cave-cruise sightseeing boat pier, but unfortunately the boats were canceled due to bad weather, which was disappointing. There seemed to be no valet service at all. Perhaps because all staff members were foreigners, there was naturally no send-off either. For this price range, we felt the overall service was somewhat lacking. Although their Japanese was sometimes hard to understand, we appreciated their earnest efforts in conversation; at the same time, there were honestly moments where we felt we had to be extra considerate. The Facility is understandably new (less than a year since opening), and it was equipped with the latest devices and very easy to use. The meals were beautifully presented, and it was wonderful to dine in a private room while enjoying the views of Nishi-Izu; however, the seasoning tasted a bit strong for us. As for the open-air bath, we usually worry about being seen from outside, but they provided bathing wear for use in the bath area, which we truly appreciated. We were able to relax with peace of mind—reading a book and enjoying multiple long soaks. During our stay, we never ran into other guests at all, which made it completely stress-free. Overall it was a good stay, and we hope that as the staff become more experienced with service operations going forward, it will become even better.

A top-rated Accommodation you’ll want to stay at again

Although the Accommodation staff were from overseas, everyone was very polite and responded smoothly to all our questions. The Room looked just like the photos on the website—clean, stylish, and well maintained. There were three options—yukata, loungewear, and pajamas—which we really appreciated. A gown was also provided, which was very convenient. The open-air bath in the Room featured free-flowing natural hot spring water; it was spacious enough, perfectly warm, and so relaxing that we wanted to stay in forever. We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the menu changed each day; both dinners were delicious and very filling. We were completely satisfied in every way with this Accommodation. Thanks to you, it became a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

    I was able to relax.

This was my second stay since last January. The head chef has changed, and dinner has shifted from French-style to Japanese-style, but the food remained excellent. This time, since we had planned a bamboo shoot–themed lunch after checkout, we skipped breakfast, so I can’t comment on how breakfast may have changed. The open-air bath felt a bit cool during our previous stay in January due to the low temperatures, but this time of year it was just right, and we were able to relax and enjoy it. Perhaps staff training has improved as well—there were more smiles than last time, making the Accommodation even more comfortable. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to visit again when I have the chance.

I was impressed by the stunning views and excellent cuisine, but the service was disappointing.

[Background of Our Stay] The other day, we visited this Accommodation—one I had been curious about for some time—to celebrate a birthday. Hoping to forget everyday life and enjoy a relaxing getaway, I had been looking forward to our Reservation for months. [Location and Room] What caught my eye the moment we arrived was the “spectacular view,” just as promised. The panorama stretching out from the Room window was like a painting. Simply watching the scenery change over time felt like a true luxury that refreshed the soul. Even for this view alone, I felt it was well worth coming here. [Dining] Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, and it was clear that each dish was prepared with great care. Seasonal local ingredients were showcased beautifully, and I was impressed not only by how elegant everything looked but also by the depth of flavor. My husband was delighted as well, saying it ranked among the best meals he has ever had at an Accommodation. It became an unforgettable dining experience worthy of a celebration. [One Concern: Communication and Check-in] The only disappointing point was how difficult it was to get in touch before our stay. I called several times in advance with questions, but couldn’t reach anyone, which left me feeling uneasy leading up to arrival. On the day of our stay we arrived slightly earlier than planned and tried calling again to ask what to do, but still couldn’t get through—so we went directly to the front desk instead. We called out inside several times but no one appeared; assuming staff were cleaning, we returned to our car and waited for a while. [Thoughts on Service] After some time, we were finally greeted by an attendant from overseas. Speaking with him helped everything make sense—differences in language nuance and operating with a small team likely played a role. He did his very best and his sincerity came through clearly, so in the end I understood—but since it was the start of a celebration trip, I honestly felt confused at first. [Overall] Because both the food and scenery were exceptional beyond words, difficulty making initial contact is my only lingering regret. With some improvement in communication or having someone consistently available at reception, this could be an even more perfect stay. That said, in such a quiet setting with delicious food...

    It was an amazing experience.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was perfect except that it’s a bit far, and it was such an amazing experience that we definitely want to come back. The beautiful ocean view with the sunset right in front of us, the unforgettable meals made with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented on carefully selected tableware, the spacious two Rooms we could enjoy all to ourselves, the private open-air in-Room hot spring bath with free-flowing water that felt roomy even for two people stretching out, the latest appliances and stylish interior design, and the attentive service—all of it helped us forget everyday life and truly relax. We were also very happy with the thoughtful touches for my wife’s birthday and our visit. Since it’s in Nishi-Izu, it’s far from Tokyo, but even considering the distance, it was a wonderful place we absolutely want to visit again. Time flew by, and we left feeling sad to say goodbye.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

We stayed as a couple to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Room name was thoughtfully chosen: “Aitama.” Everything was wonderful, from the entrance to the Room itself. From welcome to check-out, every detail of the service was attentive and considerate. I left a note when making the Reservation, and they even prepared a surprise—thank you so much. The meals made full use of seasonal spring ingredients, and everything was delicious—we finished every bite. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

    The staff who assist...

The staff who assisted us appeared to be foreign trainees, and every one of them was extremely polite and provided wonderfully pleasant service. From the welcome and meal service to taking photos and explaining the Room, everything was attentive—so much so that it made us wonder who trained them. The food was delicious, and although it rained unfortunately, we were able to enjoy a very satisfying family trip.

    We had the best vacation.

We stayed as a couple and had a relaxing, satisfying time. Located about a 5-minute walk from Dogashima, this Hotel is convenient for sightseeing and highly recommended. The Room was divided into a dining area and a private room; both were clean, spacious, functional, and very comfortable. We also appreciated having a water dispenser for rehydrating after bathing and a coffee maker in the private room. The in-room open-air bath was spacious, with free-flowing natural hot spring water of excellent quality that warmed us through. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the thoughtfully chosen tableware made the meals enjoyable to look at as well. The staff who took care of us were friendly and attentive, which made our stay very comfortable. Since the sunset was slightly hard to see from the dining Room, they guided us to another Room with a beautiful view of the sunset and even took photos for us—we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. The forecast had been cloudy so we had almost given up hope, making it an especially wonderful memory to see such an unexpectedly beautiful sunset. Thank you for such a lovely time. We would love to visit again.

This is a Ryokan you’ll want to visit again.

All I can say is that the view stretching out beyond Mayu Nibari was so beautiful it became unforgettable. We checked in at a private Room, and the moment we entered our Room, we were completely captivated by the ocean view of Dogashima through the window. Before dinner, my wife and I returned to the private Room to enjoy a stunning sunset, and afterward we savored a luxurious dinner in our Room. The in-Room amenities were exceptionally luxurious: not only did the outdoor bath offer panoramic views of Dogashima’s sea, but the indoor bathtub also featured massage and heat-retention functions—and even a steam sauna function. The staff were also very kind and provided heartfelt hospitality. My wife and I truly had an unforgettable vacation. We would love to visit this Ryokan again.

    The view from the Ro...

The view from the Room was wonderful. It happened to get cloudy toward evening, so I was a little disappointed not to see the sunset over the sea, but the open-air bath was spacious and very relaxing. The Room was also large and well equipped, so we had a comfortable stay. All of the staff were kind, but at dinner there were times when we felt the intervals between dishes were too long. The herbal tea served with dessert had become quite lukewarm. The seasoning may be a matter of preference, but it tasted a bit strong for us. At checkout, we often have our luggage carried to the car and are seen off, which can sometimes feel like pressure to leave quickly; however, they asked, “Would you like me to carry your luggage?” so we could decline and depart at our own pace (laugh). Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and were satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Satisfied.

This was our second stay. Bath wear had been added, so we could enjoy the open-air bath even during daylight hours without worrying about anything, which was wonderful. The water temperature was just right and very relaxing. We were extremely satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. The gentle seasoning and beautiful presentation using lovely tableware made it a feast for the eyes as well. The portions weren’t large, but they were perfect for us and everything was delicious. It was also great to see further improvements, such as the addition of an ice machine. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked to see alcoholic drinks other than beer in the refrigerator as well. We look forward to seeing what new improvements will be made on our next visit. We wanted to thank the manager for helping us when there was an issue last time, but it was a shame we didn’t get to meet them.

    Thank you for your support.

The Room had a solid, high-end feel, with materials like the wall finishes, and the design was very elaborate—overall a great impression. However, because the bathroom faucets were sensor-only, we had to keep our hands under cold water for quite a while to get warm water. On top of that, the sensors didn’t respond well, and out of the two sinks, one was almost always cold water only. It was also a bit disappointing that there were no public spaces such as a lounge or bar. The staff were very polite, and we felt their sincerity and honesty. We were very satisfied with the hospitality and service, but communication was sometimes difficult, so we would have liked at least one Japanese staff member on site. Thank you very much.

    Hospitality

The mist sauna and water dispenser, which were not available during my stay last year, have been installed, making my stay very comfortable. I was also glad to be able to see a beautiful sunset from the Room where I ate.
