    Absolutely perfect.

    This was my first time staying at this Hotel, and it was perfect. Less than a minute to Kyoto Station—an excellent location. The staff service was also great. The exterior looks nice, but the interior is even better, with a distinctly Kyoto atmosphere. There is a wide staircase behind the front desk, and at night there are three types of projection mapping displays that keep it interesting. The shampoo and conditioner in the bath were high quality as well—100 points.

    All the staff are friendly and leave a great impression. I especially appreciate the Diamond member late check-out benefit, as it allows me to enjoy a relaxing stay at the Hotel. Thank you for providing a bath chair again this time even though I didn’t request one. I would like to stay here again.

    This is the best Hotel.

    I stayed here again on a trip to Kyoto with my daughter. As always, I was completely satisfied with the hospitality, the food, and the location. In every situation, the staff’s service was truly outstanding. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay in the Room. Managing the Room via the tablet was easy. Since I was traveling alone, I didn’t open the curtains, but next time I’d like to stay in a Room with a terrace. Because it’s close to the station, I could go out early in the morning and still check out afterward. It was convenient not having to worry about finding coin lockers at the station.

    The luxury feel is not quite there right now...

    Upon arriving at the Hotel, I went straight to the underground parking area. I would like you to place at least one luggage cart in the elevator area. It was difficult to carry everything to the front desk. When I arrived on the first floor by elevator, a man asked, “Are you staying with us today?” After carrying this much luggage upstairs, that kind of comment was not helpful. Also, If someone can come to pick up our luggage when we depart, I would like clear guidance on how to request it. Having room-service amenities available only upon request at the front desk does not feel like a luxury Hotel. I wanted ice, but there was none on my floor. I wasn’t sure whom to ask. Please indicate this in the tablet room-service menu. The bed was very comfortable. The 12:00 checkout also allowed me to relax and take my time. I was looking forward to Japanese cuisine, but it was closed and I couldn’t make a Reservation, which was disappointing. I would appreciate it if you could add an essential-oil aromatherapy bath additive as an amenity. Personally, I find items such as bath towels quite heavy. In Japan there are lightweight towels with excellent absorbency, so I hope you will consider them. Thank you very much.

    Your Regular Accommodation in Kyoto

    Whenever I’m in Kyoto on business, I always stay here. The unbeatable location right next to Kyoto Station is a major draw, but the real reason this has become my go-to Hotel in Kyoto is the hospitality of the staff. Because of my work, I stay at many Hotels, and I feel that more than the facilities or location, what truly shapes your impression of a Hotel is the thoughtfulness of its people. I often find that Hotel pillows don’t suit me, so I frequently use a bath towel as a substitute. When I stayed here for the first time and asked for an extra bath towel, ever since then they have kindly placed one in my Room in advance each time—without me even having to ask. It may seem like a small thing. But this kind of consideration—remembering without being told—is exactly what makes me want to stay here again. Small gestures really do create loyal guests. I feel that every time I stay here. Another thing I look forward to is the Japanese cuisine from room service. It’s truly delicious. After finishing a full day of work on a business trip, on nights when I don’t have the energy to go out for dinner, being able to enjoy excellent Japanese food slowly in my Room is something I genuinely appreciate. There are plenty of Hotels you choose purely for convenience, but not many that make you think, “I want to come back here.” I will continue to stay here whenever I travel to Kansai or Kyoto for business. Thank you as always for such a comfortable stay. I look forward to staying with you again.

    It’s been a while.

    Whenever I come to Kyoto, I always stay here. This was my first visit since the COVID-19 pandemic, but I was able to relax as usual. Above all, I was surprised to see a robot helping with lending amenities. The breakfast was delicious, and this time they even cut dragon fruit for me, which I really enjoyed. I was disappointed to find a little dirt around the sink and toilet, but I will stay here again.

    I stayed here to celebrate a birthday.

    Now that our children have become working adults and we’ve finished raising them, we decided to take things slow and enjoy time together, so this was our first stay here. The birthday card, cake, and other thoughtful touches were wonderful, and it became the best memory of any Accommodation we’ve stayed at. We are filled with gratitude. Thank you very much.

    Exceeded expectations!

    Thank you for taking such great care of us the other day. From the moment we arrived and stepped into the lobby, we had an amazing time. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and service throughout the property all exceeded our expectations. Both the Room and terrace were spotless and well maintained, so we were able to relax comfortably. I had injured my foot and was using a cane, so thank you for your thoughtful assistance from check-in through to the restaurant as well. The staff’s hospitality was truly pleasant and wonderful. We would love to stay again!

    The Ultimate Post-Stay Experience

    It was a very comfortable and highly satisfying stay. I was extremely pleased with every Facility and service I used, but above all, the wonderful staff’s warm hospitality stood out. I would love to stay again soon.

    Bringing my parents along

    The location is excellent, and I have stayed here many times. Thanks to the clean rooms and the courteous service from the Hotel staff, I always have a comfortable stay. This time, I used the Hotel to host my parents-in-law who live far away. They checked in before me, and they were very pleased with how kind and helpful the staff were. We had dinner at Kizahashi, and it was delicious. Because we had a child with us, we had breakfast the next morning at the Western-style restaurant; the food was great, and the kitchen staff were kind as well. However, I felt uncomfortable with the attitude of several members of the floor staff, which was truly disappointing. If it were just my family staying as usual, it might have been fine, but I also felt sorry toward my parents-in-law. It’s not simply because this is a customer-service business—when people talk to each other, a smile makes things pleasant, and I felt that a condescending attitude does not leave anyone feeling good.

    Wonderful Hotel

    We have been staying at this Hotel during the summer vacation season since the year before last. Our elementary school-aged daughter loves this Hotel, and it was her request. The facilities and our Room are clean and hygienic, making for a very comfortable stay. This time, we tried the Japanese breakfast for the first time. Both the food and the service were excellent, and it was a wonderful start to the day. In the middle of the night, children visiting from overseas were running back and forth down the hallway with loud voices. It went on for about 20 to 30 minutes, so we asked the front desk to handle it. We apologize for bothering you while you were busy. We will stay again next year.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I stayed here with my mother in her 70s. I was a little worried about driving into Kyoto by private car, but it was very easy to find with the navigation system, and we were able to enter the parking area smoothly. The atmosphere at the front desk and the hospitality of the staff were wonderful. Their courteous service made us feel truly welcomed, and I was genuinely moved that we could stay at such a lovely Hotel. Breakfast was a half-buffet style, and freshly made items such as omelets, pancakes, and French toast were brought to our table, so we could enjoy a relaxed and delicious meal. One thing to note is that there was no chair in the bathroom, which was a bit tiring for us. It may be inconvenient for elderly guests or for those who usually use a chair in the bathroom. Also, after checkout we wanted to go to Shijo, so we left our car at the Hotel and took the subway. When I asked at the front desk about additional parking fees if we exceeded the time limit, I was told that guests can park free for about 1–2 hours beyond the 12:00 checkout time, and that only any extra time after that would need to be paid. Feeling reassured, we went out—but when we exited at 3:30 p.m., it showed a fee of 4,800 yen, which surprised me. That seemed quite expensive for only about an extra hour and a half. I would have appreciated more detailed information. That said, overall we were very satisfied with factors such as the location and Room atmosphere, and it made for a great trip. If given another opportunity, I would like to stay again.

    We had a wonderful time.

    The Room, service, and everything else were excellent. Since the spa is charged per visit, it would be great to have some kind of Plan available. Also, the spa cannot be used in the morning, so it would be nice if morning bathing were possible as well. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

    A quiet Hotel with convenient access

    I stayed here for sightseeing, and the access from the station was excellent, making it easy to get around. Contrary to the exterior, once you step inside there is an open stairwell with a great atmosphere, and all of the staff were pleasant and welcoming. When I left, they called me by name and said “Thank you” and “Take care,” which made me feel wonderful—I would like to stay again. The Room was spacious and well stocked with drinks; I had no complaints.

    This is my regular Accommodation whenever I visit Kyoto. The location is excellent, and above all the breakfast is delicious. For guests on a Multiple Night Stay, the menu changes each day, and I’m always completely satisfied.

    I traveled to Kyoto ...

    I traveled to Kyoto for business and used this Hotel for the first time while looking for one near the station. Kyoto Station is a bit confusing, but the Hotel was conveniently located just a short walk to the right after exiting the Central Gate. It was quiet despite being close to the station, with a calm atmosphere that made it very comfortable. I used the spa and treatments and felt refreshed. The lounge menu also featured Kyoto-style items, and the reserved “Okuniwa” (matcha cake inspired by moss balls) was delicious. The staff kindly helped with luggage storage and even an unexpected issue in my room at night. I’d love to return and explore Kyoto at a more relaxed pace next time.

    I couldn’t find the rice cooker.

    I stayed here again for the first time in a year, following last year’s visit. Last year I had breakfast at the Japanese restaurant, but this time it was a Western-style half buffet. After being shown to my seat, I ordered the main dish on my smartphone. I took a plate and looked for side dishes, but there were mostly Western items and very few that went well with plain rice, which was disappointing. The miso soup was self-serve—you add tofu and mitsuba yourself and then pour it. When I tried to serve rice, I couldn’t find the rice cooker anywhere. I walked back and forth for several minutes, and since nothing changed, I asked a nearby staff member, and they brought plain rice to my table. It was strange that miso soup was available but there was no rice cooker in sight. Maybe trying to eat Japanese food at a Western-style half buffet is asking too much. Next time, I’ll definitely choose the Japanese restaurant without hesitation.

    Highly satisfied.

    It was my first time staying at a Hotel in a while. I hesitated at the luxurious price when making the Reservation, but the moment I stepped inside, it all made sense. The pleasant scent and upscale atmosphere were wonderful, and the staff were incredibly attentive—true hospitality. I also used the spa, and not only the treatments but also the hot stone sauna and bath facilities were excellent. I’d love to stay again. The only downside was that the complimentary toothbrush amenity was a bit too large for my mouth.

    An adults-only retreat that makes you forget the bustle of JR Kyoto Station in an instant

    This is a pleasant Hotel that gives you a strong sense of the Keihan Group’s youthful, energetic team and their drive to take on new challenges. With an excellent location that feels almost directly connected to JR Kyoto Station, it is very stylish and offers a refined, adult atmosphere. Although it seems nearly 10 years have passed since opening, the interior is impeccably maintained, and despite what must be many guests, there is a relaxed flow of time throughout the property. It was also heartwarming to see the young staff naturally acting in line with the Hotel’s true purpose—helping guests enjoy a comfortable stay. The Room we reserved came with THREE amenities by POLA, which I was looking forward to. In this stylishly arranged Room, I enjoyed watching my favorite movies while doing skincare on a large TV with access to major streaming services, then slept soundly in a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was surprisingly luxurious and high-quality—almost unbelievable for a Hotel in this price range. Since there was an attractive offer on IKYU, I plan to visit again next month and the month after, and I’m already looking forward to it. Thank you again in advance.

    - It was disappointing that the complimentary mineral water came in cartons. - I would like at least basic amenities to be placed in the Room. For a Hotel at this price point, I was a bit surprised that guests need to request them before use (the toothbrush was also difficult to use). - I stayed looking forward to breakfast, but it wasn’t as good as I had expected. - There was no towel rack within reach of the washbasin, which was inconvenient. - The hair dryer was old. Perhaps this Hotel’s concept simply doesn’t suit me. However, I think the staff’s service and responsiveness were excellent.

    Wonderful Hotel

    The location is excellent—you can get here quickly from Kyoto Station. The building is new and spotless, and housekeeping is thorough. The staff were also wonderful. The Room was spacious enough, and the bathroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast: the buffet was crowded, so I chose the Japanese set meal instead. I was able to relax and enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine at a leisurely pace. This trip was truly great, so after returning home, I made another Reservation for my next visit.

    Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay! We stayed here for a birthday and arranged Room decorations and a cake. Communication beforehand was smooth, and on the day of our stay, due to my mistake, it seemed like the Room decorations might be difficult to set up... But they somehow managed to prepare everything beautifully, and we were able to celebrate in a lovely decorated Room! We are truly grateful to the concierge! The Room was also very clean, and both check-in and check-out were smooth—we felt professionalism in every aspect. We would love to stay again for another special anniversary. Thank you very much!

    Wedding Anniversary

    Thanks to the attentive care of all the staff, we were able to spend a relaxing time at Thousand on our anniversary. My husband is currently undergoing medical treatment and has dietary restrictions, but we still enjoyed a delicious Japanese breakfast. His treatment was successfully completed in March, and now we are truly grateful that we were able to celebrate such a wonderful anniversary.

    A Hotel with Excellent Access

    We stayed as a surprise for my wife’s anniversary. The location is very close to Kyoto Station, so access was excellent, and it was great not having to search for coin lockers. The staff were also polite and pleasant. The Room was clean, spacious enough, and comfortable. There was also a surprise from the Hotel, which made us very happy!! My wife loved it too! We also used the spa (an additional JPY 3,795 required). The space wasn’t very large, but it had a hot bath, sauna, cold plunge bath, and stone sauna. There were few other guests as well, so we were able to relax for about two hours and recover from sightseeing fatigue. We were also happy that many of the amenities had a lovely fragrance. We had dinner too, and they prepared a calm sofa seat for us so we could enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious with quite a wide variety of dishes; each portion was generous and we were very satisfied. Thank you as well for the surprise arrangement! For breakfast we chose the buffet. Not only was the eggs Benedict we ordered excellent, but the semi-buffet dishes were also very tasty and beautifully presented—overall extremely satisfying. Overall, we had a wonderful Hotel stay. It’s a Hotel I’d definitely like to use again when traveling to Kyoto!

    A Memorable Hotel

    I used to feel reassured and confident with the service of older, veteran staff at long-established hotels, but this stay made me let go of that bias. Many of the Hotel staff here are young. However, over two nights—through the doorman, the front desk, and several calls within the building—I was assisted in many different situations by various people, and every one of them had a wonderful smile and provided heartfelt service. It’s not about age. The hospitality of all the Hotel staff has stayed with me. The room was also thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable. The post-cleaning checks must be working well. This time I chose to stay based on being close to the station, but from next time on in Kyoto, I won’t hesitate. Only here. Next time, I also plan to come and enjoy the meals. Thank you for your continued support in the future.

    A Kyoto hideaway you’ll want to return to again and again

    Since the year before last, this has been our go-to place in Kyoto. From the warm welcome of “Welcome back” from the staff to the spotless Room and airy lobby, we can relax throughout our stay. The Japanese cuisine is outstanding. The chef’s creative dishes paired with a superb glass selected by the sommelier add even more depth to each meal, and my husband enjoys this pairing every time. This is a wonderful Hotel that truly makes us want to stay again thanks to the excellent service from the staff. Thank you very much.
