    We visited for a sum...

    We visited for a summer vacation with my partner and to celebrate an early birthday. Compared with other Hotels in the same price range, we truly enjoyed an exceptional resort experience. We stayed in a Room with a private pool, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail. In the spacious, spotless space, we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time thanks to the kind attentiveness of all the staff. Although there were a few minor issues due to recent typhoon operations, you responded flexibly and promptly. There were no problems during our stay—thank you very much for your thoughtful support. The day before coming to this Hotel, we stayed at another Marriott-affiliated property with a lion logo, but compared to that one, we were extremely satisfied with everything here—service, Facility, and meals! We will definitely visit again within a year!! Thank you for such a wonderful summer vacation.

    Heartwarming hospitality that stays with you

    During my stay, the time I spent with the staff member who provided Shuttle Service from the airport to the Hotel left a lasting impression. They gently shared stories about Miyakojima’s history and daily life, as well as what the island was like in earlier days, and the ride felt like it passed in no time. Their stories—woven with their own travel memories—were truly fascinating and made Miyakojima feel much more familiar. They also kindly guided me around the Hotel, and I felt warmly welcomed from the very start of my trip. Irafu SUI’s charm is not only in its beautiful Facility and scenery, but also in the heartfelt hospitality of its staff. When I visit Miyakojima again, this is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at. It was one of the most memorable encounters of my trip.

    My First Trip to Miyakojima with My Wife and Daughter

    Because it is not a large Hotel, we felt close to the staff and were able to spend our time in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Above all, the dining at Tin’in was outstanding—seeing a French chef’s take on somen champuru was a delight. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish as it was served one after another, and breakfast the next morning was just as memorable, letting us savor the lingering impressions from the night before. I haven’t tried egg benedict in many places, but this was the best I’ve ever had. If I have the chance to visit Miyakojima again, I would definitely like to stay here.

    It was very comfortable.

    It was very comfortable. The Room was clean, and all the staff were polite and kind. The drinks served in the evening were a hit with our child, who even had three refills. We also appreciate your help with our activity Reservation. The Shuttle Service to Toguchi Beach was also very helpful. We would love to come again.

    It’s exactly what I expected, but…

    It met my expectations, which also made the disappointing points stand out. The staff-only door was dirty (3rd floor, exit the elevator and it’s directly in front on the right), and it felt disappointing every time I passed by. There was only one drawer for clothes in the room, which is far too few. If two people are staying, at least two are needed. There was no place to put a suitcase, so we had to leave it on the floor.

    It was an exceptional resort.

    Every year, I look forward to traveling to Miyakojima in late June, right after the rainy season ends. Captivated by the “Miyako Blue,” I’ve visited nearly 20 times, but this was my first time staying at this Hotel on Irabu Island for a 3-night stay. It’s a luxury Hotel near my favorite beach, Toguchi-no-Hama. Unlike large Hotels, there was no waiting in line at breakfast, it was quiet, and I was able to spend a very peaceful time—so I was very satisfied. However, the half-buffet breakfast selection didn’t change much, and by the third morning I started to get a little tired of it. With a bit more variety or creativity, it would be ideal for a Multiple Night Stay. Also, at check-in I was told they would either scan my credit card as a deposit or hold ¥30,000–¥50,000 in cash. It was my first time experiencing this and it surprised me немного (a little), but the smart checkout process was convenient. The payment for dinner on the first night went through around 2:00 a.m. on the day of checkout, and I received a card-use notification on my phone in the middle of the night—so that also surprised me. The best part was the Champagne Delight. For one hour before sunset, you can enjoy champagne and snacks in the Hotel lobby or by the poolside. On Saturdays there is also live sanshin music; I was happy to meet again an artist I had encountered on a previous trip. While enjoying champagne, we made bath salts as well—it was such a fun time. The Room was spacious with a great view—truly wonderful—but the amenities were slightly disappointing. I had prepared after reading other Reviews so it wasn’t an issue for me, but this level of simplicity in amenities was new to me. These days it may be appropriate from an SDGs/sustainability perspective. Even so, some Hotels provide items like face masks as standard amenities; I would appreciate it if you could consider adding something along those lines since there isn’t really a proper shop on-site. There also weren’t many drawers or storage spaces in the Room, which felt slightly inconvenient. Additionally while relaxing poolside، one staff member asked for my Room number and name and wrote them down on paperwork. No other Hotel has asked me this before; because nearby guests could hear personal information (name and Room number), I felt some discretion or alternative method might be needed. I’ve mentioned various points here، but overall，the staff were kind and helpful، which made for an enjoyable stay。 Large Hotels have their own pros and cons，and so does this Hotel—each has its strengths。 Thank you very much.

    This Hotel offers a high level of guest satisfaction.

    On my first trip to Miyakojima, I debated between booking a large resort or a villa, but choosing Irabu Sui was absolutely the right decision. Thanks to everyone’s thoughtful service, high-quality cuisine, and clean, comfortable Room, it became an unforgettable experience. Even when I carelessly left something behind in the Room after check-out and came back to retrieve it, you kindly saw me off. I strongly felt that I would definitely like to stay at Irabu Sui again on my next visit to Miyakojima. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    Your First Time in Miyakojima

    My spouse and I stayed for five nights. We were able to relax and enjoy the slow pace of time while looking out over the Miyako Blue sea. During our stay, a typhoon was expected to approach, so we changed our plans and canceled two nights. However, our flight was later canceled, and we suddenly had nowhere to stay. When we spoke with the staff, they responded with great kindness and support, which truly helped us. It eased our anxiety during the trip, and we are sincerely grateful. The ocean view from the Room, along with the sunset and the stars in the night sky, was wonderful and made this a truly memorable stay. To all of the staff, thank you very much. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again when we visit Miyakojima.

    This is the only Accommodation you need in Miyakojima.

    I don’t often write Reviews, but this Accommodation truly made me feel I had to share. It’s a Hotel on Irabu Island that genuinely cherishes its guests. A taxi Shuttle Service took us from the airport to the island, and when we arrived, the blue ocean welcomed us just beyond the front desk doors. The staff were consistently pleasant and attentive, and anything we needed was arranged immediately. The Shuttle Service to a nearby beach was smooth as well—we could return to the Hotel still in our swimsuits, and it was incredibly convenient to be able to rinse off in the shower by the pool right in front of us. Our Room was directly facing the pool, and we relaxed while enjoying views of the sea behind it. Breakfast was outstanding—needless to say. After breakfast it started pouring rain, which initially made me hesitate, but even in a downpour we jumped into the pool and enjoyed it like a private pool (laughs). I’m truly grateful to have stayed at a Hotel where even giving full marks for location, staff, Facility quality, arrangements/services, and food still wouldn’t feel like enough. We traveled all the way from Hokkaido, but this trip ended with my spouse and me deciding that we’ll do our best to stay at this Hotel every year.

    As expected from the Marriott Group.

    From the moment the entrance gate opened, it felt like a different world—Miyako’s ocean spread out right in front of us. Starting with the welcome drink, then drink service at the pool bar, and a glass while watching the sunset—everything was exceptional. With so many international guests, you almost forget you’re in Japan. We had an ocean-view Room and could have stared at the view for hours. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was large enough to fully stretch out. Beach sandals were provided as well, which helped reduce what we needed to pack. We had dinner at Blue Turtle within walking distance, so I can’t comment on dining here at night, but breakfast was outstanding: a beautiful setting and delicious food. It’s buffet-style, so you can enjoy whatever you like—choose a main dish and then pick anything else you want. The selection isn’t huge, but everything was tasty, and the staff’s thoughtful service made us feel relaxed. Also, at check-in you can make your own bath salts—such a fun hands-on experience that adds another little pleasure to bath time. Our stay felt elegant from start to finish—there’s far too much to write here. Next time, I’d love to take it slow by the infinity pool.

    The service was exceptional and truly moving!

    Thank you for your thoughtful attention to every detail. Everything was outstanding—the Room, the food, and the sunset view—but we were especially impressed by the exceptional hospitality of all the staff! We will definitely visit again!

    A small, classic Hotel.

    A truly proper Hotel. On Miyakojima, where rental-style Accommodations are common, it felt reliably classic without being a huge resort, and we could stay with complete peace of mind. The Room was very standard (sorry!), but the champagne service, elegant breakfast, and morning yoga made it a stay that reminded us how glad we were to choose a well-run Hotel. We also really appreciated the flexible Shuttle Service. It’s quite late, but thank you to H for accommodating our very specific request this time. Next time, I’ll work hard again so I can stay on a hot summer day!

    A Trip for a Couple

    What a disappointment.

    Is this what “small luxury” is supposed to be? At check-in, a young male staff member handled it, but it took a long time and he seemed inexperienced. There was valet service, but for a small property I didn’t really see the need. The Room had an amazing view and was very comfortable. At dinner, the male staff member’s explanations were enjoyable and his service was excellent. However, the young female staff serving each table was quiet and unfriendly. To make matters worse, she skipped our main course and then brought us the wrong dessert from the next table—and instead of apologizing, she went over to that table? I was stunned. Overall, the young Japanese staff lacked experience and it wasn’t good. Disappointing. The in-Room amenities were all high quality, and even the hair dryer was premium. But the shower Room had no chair, the floor was slippery, and I questioned the detailed design of the Room. The pajamas were a pullover type and not a separate top-and-bottom set—disappointing. I don’t really care about TV, but YouTube wasn’t available. The Room was cold; I slept with the heater set to 27°C. At breakfast, our server—a woman from Asia—was very friendly and even took photos for us. A world of difference compared with last night’s young Japanese female staff. Compared with our previous night at the large Shigira Mirage resort, I expected better service because this is smaller—but it was actually the opposite.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    It was very quiet and relaxing as it was the off-season. The service had a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, making the stay comfortable. Although I didn’t mention it was a birthday trip, the staff seemed to notice during our conversation in the Room and kindly prepared a message plate for breakfast the next day. Thank you for your thoughtful gesture. The French toast was absolutely delicious.

    Not tasty.

    Stayed for 4 nights. There is only one restaurant. The pasta and other Western dishes were not tasty. The Japanese cuisine was fairly good.

    The ocean view Room ...

    The ocean view Room was amazing! When we mentioned it was for our honeymoon, there was a surprise in the Room, and we were touched by the hospitality. Dinner was also delicious, featuring dishes made with ingredients from Miyako Island. Additionally, snacks were provided to enjoy the sunset, making it perfect for a relaxing and leisurely stay.

    It was the best summer vacation.

    We stayed for two nights during the summer vacation and received attentive service from check-in. The facility is compact but very clean, and we enjoyed the pool, evening cocktail time performances, and champagne free-flow. Some meals require a reservation, but they are worth more than their price. The sommelier was very kind and provided the perfect wine for us! The staff's hospitality was excellent. Since it was only a two-night stay, it's hard to say, but having more variety in breakfast and dinner options might make longer stays even more enjoyable. We will visit again.

    A resort with impressive white and blue colors

    The Facility of the Hotel is overall coordinated in white and blue, creating a perfect resort atmosphere! The restaurant, in particular, reminded me of the Moana Surfrider in Hawaii with its design. The Room was spacious, and above all, the bathtub was so large that I couldn't reach the end even when stretching my legs, allowing for a relaxing soak. And our favorite, the Sunset Delight, was a joy for us champagne lovers. Enjoying delicious champagne and beautiful awamori cocktails while watching the sunset was a blissful moment. It was also nice to always have fresh water and towels available. I would have liked to have dinner at the Hotel, but it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't available in a casual à la carte style. The breakfast was very particular, and everything was delicious. I would recommend this Hotel to friends who love resorts.

    I was able to spend my time elegantly.

    As soon as we arrived, we were well taken care of. The pool was excellent. After playing in the pool, I relaxed in the Room's bath with bath salts I made myself. The bath has glass walls overlooking the sea. This was also excellent. We could see the sunset beautifully. The time spent chatting with family while drinking champagne made us feel very elegant. This was also excellent. We had dinner at the restaurant, ordering à la carte. Recently, we can't finish course meals, so the à la carte option was appreciated. The price is not cheap, but the portions are large, and we were full with three dishes for two people. The staff's explanation of the dishes was also polite. Breakfast was just the right amount (it might be a bit small for younger people?). The cold broccoli soup was exquisite. It was very delicious. Overall, I think it's a very good Hotel. I would love to stay here again when I visit Miyakojima!
