    Bring your beloved dog

    Our first family trip with our beloved dog. Stunning views and excellent facilities. Truly a dream Hotel for dog lovers. Breakfast was good. For dinner, since our youngest is still in elementary school, we requested a kids' meal, but it seemed like the child wasn't too impressed. The adult dinner also felt a bit lacking. It might have been better if all dishes were served at once rather than as a course meal. A bit more quantity would have been appreciated as well. Additionally, the water at the restaurant had a very strong fishy smell, which was the most unpleasant part of our experience.

    I had high expectations as it was advertised for dog lovers.

    【Guest Rooms & Amenities】 Enjoy stunning ocean views and the soothing sound of waves. The flooring material is also of high quality. Please note that pets are not allowed on the bed, even with pet diapers. For a property catering to pet owners, this could be improved. Amenities for humans are well-stocked, while those for dogs are minimal. 【Service & Hospitality】 Shuttle Service is available, and despite a train delay, staff provided courteous assistance. The driver’s hospitality was excellent. Although we noted in our reservation that it was our dog’s birthday, we were informed there were no birthday services offered. However, upon seeing other guests celebrating their pets’ birthdays during our stay and inquiring about it, staff promptly arranged something for us—though this left some confusion. Additionally, while we were told at check-in that dog menus could be ordered during meals, no such option was presented at mealtime. 【Bathing Facilities】 The bathtub is spacious with an ocean view; however, the window had water stains which slightly obscured the view. 【Facilities】 Given the price range of this property, access to Netflix would be appreciated. Dog activities are available at an additional cost and highly enjoyable—highly recommended. 【Dining】 The ingredients used were excellent and dishes delicious overall; however, lack of explanations about the food felt a bit disappointing. As we stayed here to celebrate our dog’s birthday but felt overlooked in certain aspects compared to other guests' experiences regarding their pets’ celebrations—it left us dissatisfied overall.

    The relaxation effect was amazing! It was perfect!

    The meals were even more delicious than last time. The pool was amazing! The sound of the ocean was fantastic! Our dog wasn’t too keen on the pool and got out quickly, but the kids were absolutely thrilled with the human pool. Especially in summer, it would be great to promote this place more for families with kids and dogs—it’s such a hidden gem. We’ll definitely come back next summer! It’s rare to find an accommodation where you can hear the ocean so clearly. Thank you so much!

    Dog First

    The staff and other guests were dog-first, which was great! I stayed with the No Meals Included Plan as I couldn't book a meal-inclusive plan. Nearby restaurants and convenience stores were sufficient, but next time, I would like to try the meal-inclusive plan.

    7th Anniversary Commemorative Plan

    For our first trip with our beloved dog, we had a hard time choosing an accommodation, but we decided on Regina Kamogawa as it was recommended by colleagues and offered an ocean-view room! We also experienced the pool for the first time and got to visit the sea up close, creating wonderful memories. The room and facilities were well-maintained, and we look forward to visiting again.

    The dog pool is a rare feature.

    A dog-friendly Hotel where you can mostly stay together, even during meals. It's rare to find a place where you can swim with your dog, and there's also a pool for humans nearby, making it kid-friendly! The baths are spacious and nice, though there is no large public bath. Instead, the showerheads and hairdryers are excellent. The food is delicious overall; however, the spiny lobster dish was quite disappointing. Everything else was great, but this one dish leaves a bad impression—such a pity!

    Family Getaway

    We stayed here for our third trip with our dog. This time, we chose a hotel with an ocean view and delicious meals as the main focus, and the whole family was satisfied. After checking in, we took a walk on the beach. Although the waves were a bit high and concerning, our dog ran around happily despite getting covered in sand. We used the shower room afterward to clean up, as suggested in reviews to bring your own shampoo and other items—we brought everything needed and got cleaned up before returning to explore the room. The family also enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. We took photos at all of the photo spots near the elevator—they were lovely! The meals were just right in portion size. For breakfast, refills were unlimited; our child had three servings and seemed very happy! During mealtime, we met many other dogs, and even staff members adored ours—our dog was thrilled, wagging its tail excitedly while lying on its back for belly rubs. Thank you so much! With an 11:00 AM checkout time, we could take it slow and enjoy ourselves fully.

    Pool

    We used the pool for the first time. There was a large amount of fur, likely from a large dog, floating in the water and accumulating in the drain. It would be great if cleaning could be improved. Although there was a staff member nearby (seemingly responsible for cleaning), they were chatting with guests and left without cleaning... The accommodation itself was satisfying, with delicious meals and delightful birthday privileges. I am sharing this feedback for future improvement.

    We were delighted to...

    We were delighted to have a full, front-facing view of the ocean. The meals were delicious, and we were truly touched by the thoughtful care from all the staff. Most of all, our five-month-old puppy had a wonderful time and stayed comfortably in the Room without any accidents. We would love to visit again.

    Birthday Trip

    I gave this as a gift for my daughter's birthday. We were two adults, two children, and two dogs. The hospitality was excellent, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable trip. Everyone was delighted. Thank you very much!

    A Relaxing Seaside Resort with Your Beloved Dog

    This was our second stay, and we had an absolutely satisfying trip thanks to the amazing beachfront location and dog-friendly hospitality! The meals seemed slightly less in volume compared to last year, but since it was too much last time, the adjusted portion felt just right and was actually appreciated. As expected, the sashimi was fresh, and both breakfast and dinner were exceptional! We’ve also stayed at Regina in Karuizawa and Hakone, but so far Kamogawa is our favorite. If there were an Onsen here, it would score 500 out of 100 points!

    Solo Travel with Your Beloved Dog

    The plan allowed for solo travelers, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. While there are more cottage-style accommodations that allow pets, they often don't suit solo travelers in terms of price or other factors. This accommodation is located right in front of the sea, offering great views from the room's balcony and soothing sounds of the waves (though it was a bit rough due to Typhoon No. 2). The building and facilities are compact and efficient without any waste. My dog was thrilled to walk from the hotel entrance on a leash, take the elevator, and head straight to our room. My dog isn't fond of water, so neither pools nor the sea were an option for us; however, we enjoyed some walks and running around in the dog run area. For future seasons or rainy days, having a roof over the dog run would be even better as it would provide protection from UV rays or rain. For dinner, allergy considerations were made in advance for me. It turned out to be a Japanese course meal with various dishes that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, if an ingredient one dislikes becomes a main dish by chance, it can be disappointing—so it's greatly appreciated when allergies or preferences are taken into account beforehand. Breakfast was also delightful with some surprises included! I loved that Ronnefeldt tea was provided in-room—it added a nice touch. With an 11:00 AM checkout time, I could relax at my own pace. This is truly a place where you can unwind while listening to wave sounds with your beloved pet without doing anything else. My dog received treats and toys as part of answering their survey—he couldn't have been happier! On our way back home, we took my dog on board one of Tainoura's sightseeing boats while carrying him in my arms!

    Thank you for your patronage.

    At the request of my 92-year-old mother, we took a trip with our beloved dog, and choosing Regina Kamogawa was the right decision. There was no smell, and once inside the Room, we couldn't hear any barking at all. Although it was a bit disappointing that there wasn't an Onsen, we enjoyed relaxing with an ocean view. My mother, who is usually quite particular about food, said "It was delicious," and despite the bad weather, we had a wonderful time. The staff were very kind, and I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    Consistently high quality.

    Located in a truly miraculous seaside location, the view from the room was stunning. Although the sunrise came from the mountains rather than the sea, it was still a breathtaking sight that made us want to see more. The walking routes were safe and enjoyable, with sandy beaches and wide sidewalks extending along the way. Beyond its location, as an accommodation for dogs, it met our expectations with consistent quality. Next time, we’ll check where the sunset goes down. If there’s one thing to improve, it would be the taste of coffee at breakfast. This is just a personal opinion, but I honestly felt that convenience store coffee might be better in comparison. Thank you!

    A Hotel Offering Ultimate Comfort for Your Beloved Dog

    I have stayed at several hotels that allow pets, but Regina Resort Kamogawa was the best. The room was clean, the amenities for dogs were well-prepared, and above all, the view of the ocean from the room's window was spectacular.

    Breakfast is not available from 8:00 AM.

    Apart from the breakfast timing, everything was PERFECT. The meals were delicious, the place was clean, and the location was excellent. However, the breakfast timing was disappointing. I wanted to leave for golf at 8 AM, but breakfast service only starts at 8 AM. One of the highlights of staying at a place like this is enjoying a proper Japanese breakfast—grilled fish like horse mackerel or salmon with natto and rice (usually three bowls!). Unfortunately, I missed out on that experience. I even asked if they could adjust my rate since I couldn’t have breakfast, but they said no. They did provide me with three rice balls to take away, but there was no miso soup or natto included. Breakfast should absolutely start at 7 AM! Charging ¥70,000 per night and not accommodating this is unacceptable!

    Very kind.

    The review is a bit late. I was able to take a late New Year’s holiday and stayed at the accommodation with my mother and our dog. My mother was scheduled for hospitalization at the end of the month, but she wanted to enjoy delicious food, so we came together. Usually, we take the Tateyama Expressway → Boso Skyline route, but since we had time, we chose the Yoro Valley via Kiyosumi Line route. Although it looked close on the map, in reality, it was a narrow winding mountain road where cars could barely pass each other. There were moss-covered guardrails and several construction areas—an adventurous route that made us regret our choice. We stayed at this accommodation when our dog was 2 years old. Now that he’s 5 years old, he actively rides elevators (laughs) and relaxed comfortably in the room. The sandy beach is his favorite spot where he keeps walking endlessly. The meal my mother had been looking forward to was Japanese kaiseki cuisine. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were refined—the grilled sea bream with pine cone-style cuts was especially delicious. My mother used a wheelchair provided by the hotel whenever she wasn’t resting in bed; this included dining at their restaurant as well. The hotel staff were attentive throughout our stay—they helped push her wheelchair to prepare seating arrangements or assisted us when getting into our car despite strong winds. Thanks to everyone’s kindness during this trip, my mother successfully underwent surgery and rehabilitation afterward; now she can walk confidently on her own again. When it gets warmer again someday soon—we plan another stay here at Regina Resort so both Mom & I (alongside pup!) may stroll along those serene coastal shores together!

    Excellent meals

    This was our second stay. We stayed with a couple in their 60s and our nearly 13-year-old dog. The meals were Japanese cuisine, perfectly suited to our age, with excellent flavor and variety. We enjoyed some alcohol and had a relaxing dinner, also ordering a meal for our dog. Recently, it has been challenging as our dog sometimes eats or doesn't eat and gets bored quickly, but he devoured the salmon and vegetable meal here, so we ordered it again the next morning. Although we thought we might not finish our breakfast either, we ended up eating everything. However, both dinner and breakfast portions might feel slightly insufficient for younger guests with bigger appetites. After returning home and stepping on the scale, I was surprised to find I had lost about 1.5 kilograms despite not being particularly active during the stay—proof of how well-balanced the meals were! This time we became members of Regina Resort's program and are looking forward to staying at other related accommodations in the future!

    Everything about the accommodation was satisfactory except for the weather.

    This time, we stayed at Regina Resort for the first time for two nights to celebrate my husband's birthday with our beloved dog. The vast ocean stretched out before us, and the view from the terrace was breathtaking. The room was spacious with well-equipped amenities, the staff were very kind, and the food exceeded our expectations in quality—my husband, our dog, and of course I were all extremely satisfied. Our dog seemed to love the ocean so much that he kept gazing at it from the terrace without getting bored despite the cold weather. If I may say one thing, it was a bit disappointing that it rained all day on our second night. We hope to come back again for a better experience next time. This time we wanted to stay near the warm seaside of Boso Peninsula and looked for a wonderful accommodation where we could stay with our dog. After reading reviews, its high ratings in every aspect became the deciding factor for us.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    The location is truly close to the sea, and I spent my time on the balcony listening to the sound of the waves and watching surfers. It was also nice that when the windows were closed, the sound of the waves was completely shut out, making it very quiet. The staff were all very friendly and kind, always with a smile. They came to pick up our luggage from the car upon arrival, and their attentiveness during meal service was excellent, allowing us to have a very comfortable stay. One request I have is to provide the Mikimoto skincare amenity set for men as well. Unfortunately, I noticed this after the front desk had closed, so I couldn't make the request, and one person in our group felt a bit left out. Next time, I hope to visit during a season when we can enjoy the outdoor pool and watch the sunset or sunrise! Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    A reliable pet-friendly Hotel

    This was my second time staying here. I remembered this Hotel as a comfortable place from my visit a few years ago, and it was my first stay in a while. My wife, our beloved dog, and I travel almost every month to places like Chiba, Tochigi, and Ibaraki. Since we always travel with our dog, the responses from Hotels and Ryokans vary greatly. Many Hotels only have a few Rooms that accommodate pets, and in shared areas, pets must always be kept in carriers, or during meals, we have to leave our dog in the Room, which can be inconvenient. However, this Property is primarily designed for guests with pets, so we can stay without any worries, which is fantastic. We have stayed at many pet-friendly Hotels before, but despite the relatively high prices, the food is often not very good. Here, however, the meals are delicious. Additionally, many of the staff seem to be pet owners themselves, and their familiarity allows them to maintain an appropriate distance without overreacting to pets, which is very pleasant. This time, we reserved a spacious corner Room, which had a separate bedroom, allowing us to rest comfortably. [My wife, however, was upset because she couldn’t sleep well due to my snoring (T . T)] The view of the ocean from the Room’s bath was amazing, but it would be even better if there were a bath on the rooftop as well. Our dog cannot use the toilet in unfamiliar Rooms, so we have to take him outside every few hours. We usually look for Rooms on the first floor with a dog run. If Regina Resort Kamogawa could offer Rooms on the first floor, we would be delighted. *Apologies for the selfish request. On the morning of our departure, after checking out, we left our dog in the care of the staff and visited Kamogawa Sea World next door with my wife. Our dog has mild separation anxiety, so we usually hesitate to leave him at pet hotels. However, thanks to the staff’s excellent care, we felt comfortable leaving him here. Usually, when we pick him up after leaving him somewhere unfamiliar, he runs to us in a dash, but this time, he seemed so comfortable that it felt like he was saying, “You’re back already?” and there was no dash. Overall, this Property offers a dog-first Facility, excellent food, and attentive staff who maintain a respectful distance while being considerate. It’s a Hotel we would love to visit again anytime.     Sunrise from the terrace

    I really enjoyed taking a walk with my dog while watching the sun set over the ocean, and I was moved to see the sunrise over the horizon from the terrace right in front of us while sipping coffee. The meals were delicious, and I was very happy with our stay. I would love to visit again when I have time. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The view is spectacular.

    We stayed for one night as a family of three. We were able to spend a relaxing time with our dog while enjoying the magnificent view in front of us. Thank you to the staff for kindly taking our photos. The Room was clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious and just the right amount, but younger people might prefer a bit more volume. It would be nice to have a buffet in the morning where you can add a little extra like yogurt. We will visit again.

    Gratitude to my mother and dogs

    Stayed for 2 nights, and on the first day, the weather was clear, and the sunset was very beautiful. We stayed on the corner east of the 4th floor, and the spaciousness was comfortable, and the bath with a view of the sea was luxurious. On the second day, rain was forecasted for the afternoon, so we visited Tanjouji Temple, about a 10-minute drive away, in the morning. The solemn and historical atmosphere of the temple grounds was very nice. It seemed like it would bring good fortune, lol. The dogs were able to dine with us in the hallway and restaurant with their leashes on, and the dog meals looked delicious and satisfying. The meal menu was different on the second day and was very delicious. The service of Nanakusa-gayu for breakfast on January 7th was truly delightful. Walking with our beloved dogs from the poolside to the beach was truly healing. I thought I would like to come again in the summer. I've been to various dog-friendly hotels, but even without an Onsen, this ranks first or second! The view of the sea was truly the best. If I may say, I wished for a bit more satisfaction with the meals. There was too little sashimi despite being by the sea... But the taste was delicious! I will visit again.

    The room was special...

    The room was specially designed for dogs, with well-equipped amenities, allowing us to stay comfortably without any worries as most guests were accompanied by their dogs. During meals, a dog stroller was provided, giving us peace of mind to enjoy delicious dishes slowly. Additionally, since we visited during our beloved dog's birth month, we were able to receive cake and photo services, allowing us to celebrate a wonderful birthday. We are grateful to all the staff who were friendly and kind. We would love to repeat our stay. Thank you very much.

    We were able to see a beautiful sunrise!

    The view from the room was spectacular! We were able to see the beautiful sea, the beautiful sunrise, and the wonderful scenery. The meals were also very delicious. We were very satisfied with the meals both at night and in the morning!! The staff were all pleasant and kind to our dogs, making it a comfortable hotel!! I deducted one star for the bath because although the room bath was a nice view bath, I wished there was a large public bath or Onsen. However, it was a very wonderful hotel worth visiting!!!

    Enjoy a peaceful time.

    As a sea lover, I used this opportunity to travel to Chiba with my pet for my birthday. I felt comfortable with the excellent service from the staff, and I was very satisfied with the trip, including the meals. One point, since there is no dog run, it can be difficult to take a walk when it rains or when the wind is strong due to the sea being right in front. I feel that if an indoor free dog run were added, it would become an even more popular Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality this time.
