    A Place to Rest Your Heart

    It was truly the best two days in between the rainy season. I was able to let go of my everyday fatigue and stress. The view from the bath over the Kikuchi River was so breathtaking it felt like I could be drawn right in—I could have looked at it forever. The meals were refined and delicious, perfect for me. In particular, the Shichijo rice was outstanding—shiny and absolutely delicious. The front desk service was excellent as well. I would definitely love to visit again.

    The service was kind, but...

    I usually don't intend to criticize in reviews, but this time I would like to share important information from a guest's perspective for others choosing accommodations. Room Due to the facility's structure, it was cold, but thankfully there were two heaters. When both electric air conditioners were on full blast, the room warmed up; however, it became extremely dry. Without wearing a mask, I couldn't sleep due to coughing. If the air conditioners were turned off, the room temperature dropped to 5°C instantly. A humidifier is essential. Onsen The outdoor bath was too cold, so I went to the large public bath instead. However, both the changing area and bathing area were freezing cold. The onsen water temperature was also low and did not warm my body. Perhaps it couldn't be helped due to an extreme cold wave; however, even the outdoor bath was closed due to insufficient onsen water supply. The most shocking part was that men's bathing areas only had shampoo with conditioner combined (rinse-in shampoo). Is this still being sold? My hair became dry and frizzy all day long—I couldn’t bear it anymore and ended up washing my hair in an outdoor open-air bath at 0°C. The stairs in the large public bath are quite steep and slippery—not suitable for those with physical disabilities. Meals They made maximum efforts for allergy accommodations; however... dishes containing allergenic meat or raw ham with eggs still appeared. I ordered plum wine soda—unfortunately arrived flat as if old carbonated water had been used. Toilet This may depend upon management decisions—but toilet paper felt like something from public facilities: unexpectedly hard single-ply rolls! Perhaps overly subjective here... Given its IKYU rating above 4.5 stars alongside pricing around ¥45k per night expectations naturally align accordingly... Usually staying until checkout deadline (11 AM), yet left early by 9 AM amidst unbearable chilliness & dryness issues experienced throughout stay overall... Notices posted within baths mentioned reduced hot spring volume alongside lowered temperatures during colder periods—thus recommend preparing accordingly when booking stays amidst similar conditions! Apologies sincerely should any remarks seem inappropriate or offensive!

    From the warm welcome to the farewell and during meal service, we were delighted by the pleasant greetings. The greetings from international guests were truly something to learn from!

    The staff who greete...

    The staff who greeted us were foreigners, but their excellent service and Japanese language skills were impressive. The food was very delicious, and we were especially moved by the freshly cooked rice and hearty miso soup in the morning. The bath had a slightly mild temperature, allowing for a relaxing soak. However, having only two towels felt a bit insufficient.

    Quiet and Relaxing Accommodation

    It was my first time staying, but everything from the room, cuisine, bath, to the staff's hospitality was perfect. This is a wonderful accommodation that makes me want to visit again soon.

    First Stays

    This time, I passed the long-awaited national qualification, so I stayed at this Property for the first time with my wife, who supported me, to celebrate and relax. We decided on the Property and meal Plan, focusing on the two points of having an Onsen in the Room and enjoying delicious meals. The welcome and send-off were courteous, and the Room and bath were clean and well-maintained. The bath water was at a comfortable temperature, allowing us to enjoy our stay. The meal was a horse shabu-shabu and horse sashimi kaiseki Plan. It was very delicious. Since it was a kaiseki Plan, I wish we could have savored each dish a little more slowly for an even better experience. Thank you for taking care of us.

    Thank you very much.

    Stayed for the second day as a birthday gift from my husband. I was impressed by the wonderful property and the silky onsen. Thank you for accommodating my allergies. The earnest efforts of the female staff member, who mentioned she had only been here for three months from abroad, warmed my heart and made it a very satisfying trip to welcome my new age. The pumpkin tofu was exquisite, and I wanted to have seconds!

    I was healed.

    I used it for the first time for one night. The room was spacious and nice. Since we had a child, we would have preferred futons, but it was helpful that they slept without falling off the bed. The beds were also pushed together for us. The room had a hot spring, and even with the three of us, we could soak in it comfortably. The water temperature was just right. We went in several times. I think it's because of the natural environment, but there were two geckos in the room, haha. We enjoyed the meals as well. It became a very good memory. Thank you. As a wish, I thought it would be nice if the trash can in the washroom was a bit bigger, and it would have been even better if the drinks in the room's refrigerator were more plentiful. Also, since there are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, I thought it would be nice if there was a shop with some food available.
