    It was an amazing trip.

    In mid-May, the three of us—my mother in her late 80s and my husband and I—stayed here. Throughout our stay, the staff, including the proprietress, showed thoughtful care for my elderly mother, and we are truly grateful. The cuisine made the most of fresh seafood from Ise Bay, Matsusaka beef, and seasonal vegetables from Mie Prefecture. Each dish was carefully crafted and delicious; even my mother, who usually eats little, enjoyed her meals. The bath overlooking the beautifully maintained Japanese garden featured a gentle Onsen that felt kind to the skin, and we were able to relax and enjoy it many times during our stay. We stayed in “Tochi,” and were able to spend a comfortable time at ease in a Room richly finished with wood and on an open veranda. The Japanese garden was stunning; there were many hydrangea buds during our visit, and imagining how beautiful they would be in bloom made it all the more disappointing to leave without seeing them—but it was still an outstanding trip.

    The Onsen water quality was excellent. Thanks to it, my skin became smooth. It also offers convenient access to sightseeing spots such as Shingu in Ise.

    This is the best!

    My spouse and I love traveling, and we enjoy visiting places all across The whole country to try the local specialties. For us, one of the great pleasures of travel is not just eating, but truly savoring food. That’s why “delicious” or “not delicious” matters a lot to us—we value quality over quantity. This Accommodation was featured in a magazine called “Reward Onsen Inns,” and we had wanted to visit for a long time. We were thrilled when we finally managed to make a Reservation—and it exceeded every expectation. In one word: outstanding. The meals were what we looked forward to most, and as you’d expect from an auberge-style property, they delivered real culinary joy. Right after arrival, the welcome drink came with an incredibly delicious cheesecake—just that alone raised our anticipation for dinner. Dinner was superb from start to finish: exquisite dishes made with local ingredients from beautiful Mie, each thoughtfully prepared with extra care. The Matsusaka beef in particular was so tender it melted in the mouth! (Even the menu showed our full names rather than just our surname—another thoughtful touch.) The chopstick rests were shaped like Meoto Iwa (the Wedded Rocks), and each piece of tableware was carefully chosen and beautifully crafted. We also enjoyed a drink of local sake, Futami Yuzuki, with the friendly and cheerful proprietress. What deserves special mention is breakfast the next morning: fluffy, glossy rice cooked in a special pot, served into our bowls by the proprietress herself. (At most Accommodations, if the proprietress appears at dinner, breakfast is usually left entirely to staff.) Everything was so tasty that I ended up having three bowls. This Accommodation is villa-style; this time we stayed in the Room called “Kaede.” The counter was made from a single slab of maple wood; the Room was spotless with excellent amenities. The private open-air bath had water brought in from Sakakibara Onsen and left my skin wonderfully smooth. Because my work often leaves me with stiff shoulders and lower back pain, they arranged for an in-room massage therapist after dinner—an incredible help. Whenever we called reception for water or anything else, it was brought right away; their service was attentive in every way. We felt completely refreshed and healed from everyday fatigue. Even when leaving after check-out, the proprietress and staff waved goodbye with warm smiles until our car disappeared from view. Not only were the meals exceptional—the hospitality was too. It’s such a wonderful Accommodation that it made us want to stay again next time in another villa.

    First-time guest

    Everything was wonderful. The proprietress and staff were very kind and welcoming, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. We traveled with our 3-year-old child, who usually doesn’t eat much, but they happily ate a lot of fish, which I think shows how fresh the ingredients were and how well everything was prepared. The adults also enjoyed the course meal; there were many dishes, thoughtfully arranged with variety, and we enjoyed it to the very end. The Room was also clean and well maintained, and we were very satisfied. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    We had a wonderful holiday with our children.

    My rating is a bit stricter this time because my previous stay was the best so far. I’m sorry to the Ryokan staff. We all enjoyed the food as a family. Compared with before, the taste was almost unchanged, but the presentation didn’t feel as three-dimensional as it used to, and some small changes (which I can’t really explain in writing) made me lower my score slightly. It was also disappointing that many of the staff members had changed since last time. I was happy to see that the proprietress was doing well and to meet her again. I’d like to stay again and hopefully become familiar with the current staff over time.

    A calm and quiet accommodation

    This was our first stay at this Accommodation near Meoto Iwa. With only five groups able to stay and all Rooms in separate villas, it is extremely quiet and relaxing. The lush green scenery viewed from the open-air bath attached to the Room is truly soothing. As you would expect from an auberge, both the quality and portion sizes of the meals are excellent. Plenty of local ingredients such as spiny lobster, Matsusaka beef, and oysters are served. There were a few minor points about the Room amenities and small details that stood out, but the Room has high ceilings and is genuinely spacious. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again when visiting Ise Shrine.

    Don’t cut corners there.

    I stayed in the Keyaki Room with my two children (ages 3 and 5). The Room was clean and spacious, and the outdoor bath in the garden was wonderful. The food was also very delicious—especially the breakfast, which was outstanding. The staff’s hospitality was excellent as well; everyone was considerate, smiling, kind, and provided truly wonderful service. However, there was one disappointing point. We visited as one adult with two children using Child Sharing Existing Bedding, but only one towel set had been prepared in the Room, and there were no children’s toothbrushes or other amenities. Thinking it might have been an oversight, I asked the staff for towels and children’s amenities, but they kindly told me that these are not provided for children sharing existing bedding. I understand that a toothbrush might be optional for some families—but towels are necessary. Are we expected to bring bath towels for our children ourselves? If so, I would have appreciated being informed in advance. Being told after arrival that children sharing existing bedding do not receive towels leaves guests wondering how they are supposed to manage. Moreover, an Accommodation Fee is charged for these children—8,000 yen or 5,000 yen. If Child Sharing Existing Bedding were free of charge it would be different, but this is a high-end Ryokan; cutting costs on a child’s toothbrush and towel is not appropriate. If needed, please include it in the Child Sharing Existing Bedding fee from the start—your target guests will not choose another Accommodation based on such small differences. Even if three people share one towel somehow, toothbrushes cannot be shared. I asked whether you could sell me a child toothbrush if available; after checking, you kindly provided a complimentary child toothbrush set (with a face towel). Thank you very much. I considered asking again about bath towels but hesitated to repeat myself and ultimately did not. The building is beautiful; the Room is spotless; the food is excellent; and the staff service is outstanding—so it was very unfortunate that this single issue left me feeling unsettled throughout my stay. I strongly recommend that Yusura improve this point.

    The meals were delic...

    The meals were delicious, and we were very happy with how well the Anniversary Plan was arranged. We were also impressed by the excellent service, including Shuttle Service to and from the property and a full set of Mikimoto lotion and cream. The Onsen was wonderfully silky and absolutely amazing. We’re glad we chose this place—thank you very much.

    A Relaxing Stay

    This Accommodation truly lived up to its tagline, “A culinary Accommodation where you can feel Japanese hospitality in every thoughtful touch.” The garden view from the relaxing bath, the large stones in the garden, and above all, the outstanding cuisine and warm hospitality allowed us to spend a wonderfully unhurried time. We would love to visit again.

    The Accommodation I’ve always wanted to stay at

    For many years, I made Reservations and then canceled them again and again, but this time my long-held wish finally came true and I was able to stay at last. I stayed in the Tochi Room, which was so spacious that it felt almost too large for one person. The open-air bath, the indoor cypress bath—everything was perfect. The meals were wonderful as well; both dinner and breakfast were deeply satisfying, with a nourishing menu that felt especially comforting during this cold season. Above all, I arrived at the breakfast venue a little earlier than scheduled, and was told that the rice would be ready at 8:30 and to please wait a moment—then they thoughtfully prepared it so it would be freshly cooked right on time for my Reservation. I was truly impressed by their consideration. Thank you very much to all the staff for your warm hospitality.

    Year-End Family Trip

    I stayed here for the first time the night before visiting Ise Grand Shrine. From the warm hospitality to the clean Room, this Accommodation was satisfying in every way. The price is naturally on the higher side, but I hardly crossed paths with other guests, and it felt very private_count. Led by the proprietress, everyone’s service made me feel truly comfortable.     It was a standard accommodation.

    Perhaps because my expectations were high due to the strong reviews, and because it felt like a step down from the wonderful Hotel we stayed at the night before, I was a little disappointed. The lounge furnishings were not very refined, and while all staff were pleasant, the service did not feel professional. The meals left little impression, and although the Room facilities were new, the toilet was far away and cold. The Onsen water felt great, but because it is behind a major road, traffic noise was constant; on top of that, an unexplained periodic sound like a ringing phone ruined the mood. What I did enjoy was being able to watch the birds on the pond. It’s not a bad Accommodation. But I don’t think it lives up to its high rating.

    It was very good.

    I visited for the first time based on Reviews, and it was excellent—just as reputed. The meals were outstanding in portion size, quality, and taste, and I was very satisfied. The Onsen in the Room was also wonderfully relaxing and warmed me up. When it was too cold to go outside, I could warm up in the indoor bath—I fully enjoyed both baths. As I was leaving, the proprietress and all the staff kindly saw me off, making this an Accommodation I would love to visit again.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    We stayed here for our grandchild's first trip and first visit to Ise Shrine. The friendly hostess was attentive from arrival to departure, making even our shy grandchild smile. Both dinner and breakfast were perfectly balanced in taste and portion, allowing us to relax despite traveling with a baby. This has become one of the accommodations we would love to stay at again.

    Smooth hot springs and carefully prepared meals

    It was my first time staying here. The best part was definitely the silky smooth Onsen! I have sensitive skin and usually feel a bit of irritation after soaking too long, but with this Onsen, my skin felt moisturized every time! I soaked about five times. The meals were all carefully prepared, highlighting the ingredients' natural flavors, and they were delicious. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again.

    The meals are excellent.

    Four of us stayed at the accommodation; two slept in beds, and two slept in the Japanese-style room. A proper mattress was provided in the Japanese-style room, ensuring excellent comfort! Having stayed at various places before, the meals here were outstanding! The aroma, presentation, and taste were all perfect! It was an accommodation that made us want to visit again!

    It is a great accommodation.

    This was my first time using this accommodation. I visited with high expectations as it is highly rated on IKYU, and it truly lived up to its reputation as a wonderful accommodation. It was almost all-inclusive, with well-equipped amenities, and the highly anticipated meals were refined and satisfying. The only slight disappointment was that the private open-air bath in the room was not a natural hot spring flow-through system.

    Completely satisfied!!

    Relax and check in while enjoying delicious sweets and tea upon arrival. The room was very spacious with a pleasant fragrance. It was impeccably clean, with every detail carefully attended to, including room wear and socks provided for your comfort. Amenities were excellent, including a gift of Mikimoto cosmetics, and the open-air Onsen is available 24 hours for unlimited use. The cuisine was an exceptional course that maximized the quality of the ingredients. Dinner, enjoyed with attentive service down to the smallest details, was truly delicious and highly satisfying. Surrounded by abundant nature, you can enjoy the sounds of birds chirping, insects humming, and trees swaying in the wind while indulging in serene silence—a truly luxurious and enriching experience.     The food was disappointing.

    We visited as three generations of women for a girls' gathering. The hospitality from the staff, including the proprietress, was very warm and welcoming. However, the food was disappointing. While the ingredients like Matsusaka beef were of high quality, the taste did not live up to expectations for a place with "Auberge" in its name. Only about 20% of the dishes were enjoyable; the rest fell short of what we had hoped for. I apologize for being critical, but I wanted to share this feedback because I appreciated the excellent Onsen, facilities, and efforts of your staff. Special thanks to the male staff member who showed great thoughtfulness when taking photos of our drinks. I would love to meet the proprietress again; however, with this level of cuisine, it is difficult to feel inclined to return. If "Auberge" is part of your name, I hope you can strive further in this area.

    I would love to visit next time with my wife.

    I stayed here for a solo trip as a 53-year-old man. Room & Amenities The room was spacious, almost too large for one person. It was impeccably clean, with no discomfort at all. The amenities were sufficient for me as a man, but I couldn't find cotton swabs. Service Upon arriving by car, I was guided to the parking spot and my luggage was taken to the room while I was escorted to the lobby. I enjoyed tea and sweets during check-in procedures before being shown to my detached room. The entire process was incredibly smooth without any waiting time. After receiving an explanation of the room's features, I had complete freedom to relax in my own world. Since there wasn’t much else to do besides enjoying the onsen, I borrowed some DVDs; however, most titles were quite old and seemed more suited for children who might get bored in their rooms. In hindsight, bringing along a book would have been nice for a solo trip like this. Onsen & Bathing Facilities The outdoor bath is an onsen while the indoor bath is not sourced from hot springs. They can adjust the temperature of the onsen upon request; however, it was perfect as it was for me so I left it unchanged. You can immediately feel how silky smooth your skin becomes after soaking in this water! With little else to do in my room, I spent most of my time relaxing in the onsen. While bathing outdoors accompanied by cicada sounds felt serene overall—occasionally you could hear cars passing or even distant train crossings if you listened closely—but these noises only emphasized how peaceful this environment truly is. Facilities Unlike typical accommodations with onsens that often include souvenir shops or game corners—this place focuses solely on providing tranquility which suited me perfectly though others may prefer more activities available onsite instead! Dining Experience Prior communication ensured dietary preferences/allergies were addressed both via email days prior AND reconfirmed upon arrival making everything feel very reassuring! As someone dining alone conversations w/the staff member serving made two hours fly-by seamlessly alongside detailed explanations accompanying each dish served—all deliciously prepared leaving portions deceptively filling despite appearances initially suggesting otherwise! Breakfast similarly impressed featuring freshly cooked rice among other highlights leading toward another satisfying meal completion entirely consumed down-to-last bite included! Overall Satisfaction Although brief lasting merely overnight stay duration spanning just two days total timeframe altogether proved rejuvenating experience worth cherishing fondly enough already planning return visit next opportunity arises ideally sharing alongside wife future occasion ahead!

    The Room was very clean and had a calm atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay! The young staff provided excellent service. Thank you for introducing various places such as the Inner Shrine and Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu, as well as Kongoshoji Temple. …However, it was a bit disappointing that there were some concerns regarding the explanation of dishes during dinner service.

    Excellent. An inspiring experience in another dimension.

    Stayed for one night from August 23rd to 24th. From the moment we arrived at the accommodation by car, we were impressed by the staff's hospitality. We were guided to a private accommodation room with an open-air bath and a cypress bath, offering breathtaking views—everything was five-star quality, providing a perfect escape from daily stress. As it was a trip for my wife's birthday, we upgraded our meals to include her favorite spiny lobster dishes for an additional fee, which left us completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional in taste and quantity, leaving us deeply moved throughout our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the hostess and all the staff members! We look forward to visiting again during the spiny lobster season!
