A cozy and lovely space
It was a quiet, relaxing Hotel—exactly as expected. The Room was also very comfortable. It made me appreciate the space all over again, and the entire Hotel truly feels like ART. Breakfast was delicious, and I was completely satisfied! All the staff were very kind, and it made me want to stay here again whenever I visit Kyoto.

I didn’t know there was such a wonderful Hotel.
It was a wonderful Hotel, just as rumored. The ornaments throughout the Hotel are true works of art—every one of them is stunning. The restaurant’s chandelier is also magnificent, an impressive size you rarely see these days. The bar counter is equally impressive, with Baccarat pieces casually displayed here and there. Step into the Room and you’ll find a high ceiling finished with gold leaf, plus two sinks that make it very convenient to use. The bed is spacious, and every amenity in the Room shows meticulous attention to detail—truly outstanding! Above all, the staff provided service full of genuine hospitality. My wife was completely satisfied and says she definitely wants to stay here again.

An Accommodation where you can truly relax from the heart
I made my Reservation knowing this Accommodation would offer an artistic atmosphere, but it was an even more comfortable space where I could truly relax. The high-quality furnishings and flooring, high ceilings, and soft bed linens all felt perfectly natural and welcoming, so I was able to stay with complete peace of mind. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was excellent!
I had a wonderful New Year's stay at this amazing Hotel in Gion. Not knowing much about Kyoto's New Year traditions, the staff kindly provided detailed guidance on dining, sightseeing, and transportation. The staff were incredibly kind! Precious authentic items, like those found in museums, were displayed at the front desk and in the Room, allowing me to enjoy a truly enriching experience. The meals at the Hotel restaurant were also absolutely delicious. I would love to visit again!

It was a space filled with warmth and serenity.
As expected from a hotel owned by an art dealer, art can be found throughout the hotel, allowing for a truly enriching experience. The hospitality was attentive, warm, and wonderful. The restaurant's cuisine was delicious, and the location allowed easy walking access to Yasaka Shrine, Gion, and Shijo Karasuma. It was a highly satisfying stay in Kyoto. Although I didn't take photos of the room, it was comfortable and relaxing.

Located in a quiet area within the antique district, this accommodation offers excellent access to popular spots such as Shijo, Sanjo, Pontocho, Kiyamachi, Gion, and Yasaka Shrine—all within walking distance. Parking is also available for those arriving by car. This is an ideal accommodation for adults looking to explore Kyoto City. The separate bath and toilet with a washing area were particularly appealing. I would love to stay here again.

Luxury Space
Upon check-in, I was guided to the elevator and noticed that the floor numbering followed the British system, where what is considered the 2nd floor in Japan is labeled as the 1st floor. This felt quite unique, even for a place like Kyoto. The room felt spacious due to the clever use of mirrors, and its elegant atmosphere was enhanced by beautifully lit glass artworks. While breakfast at a Kyoto hotel often brings to mind traditional Japanese cuisine, this hotel offers a Western-style course breakfast. It was a luxurious way to start the day. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. With a limited number of rooms, it’s easy to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay without encountering other guests—highly recommended for those seeking tranquility.

It was a wonderful Hotel where I was truly healed, not by commercial services, but by the "kindness" of all the staff. It was so comfortable that I ended up extending my stay suddenly—my apologies for that. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Kyoto!

We stayed at Art Mon Zen Kyoto for two nights (1/28, 29) and had a wonderful experience. The hotel has a beautiful and elegant atmosphere, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. A Hotel that is a fusion of Japanese and Western styles, where you can feel the traditional Japanese atmosphere.
Although it is not apparent from the exterior, once inside, the decor resembles a stylish museum café, and the interior of the semi-basement floor where we received a welcome drink was also very lovely. In the room, there was a Ninsei-style incense burner on display, and the spaciousness allowed for relaxation. The surrounding environment was quiet, but it was less than a 10-minute walk to Keihan Sanjo Station, so finding a restaurant for dinner was not a problem. The name of the property, Art Monzen, made sense after staying there.

Hatsumode at Yasaka Shrine
We decided to stay here on short notice because of the good reviews, as our family was finally able to gather together after a long time. The fluffiness of the towels and room slippers was nice, and the book "One Fruit a Day" placed in the room was wonderful (I ordered it immediately). Above all, it was great that we could fully enjoy the New Year's atmosphere of Kyoto, as Yasaka Shrine was within walking distance. The location was excellent, allowing us to enjoy dinner outside and stroll around Kyoto at night, so it turned out well. However, it was a bit disappointing that there was no dinner or room service available, and the room cleaning was somewhat lacking.

A high-vibration Stays
A hotel where you can admire genuine artworks in the lobby and rooms. The rooms are spacious with very high ceilings, neat and beautiful! I stayed for the New Year's breakfast, and the customer service was excellent. The breakfast included a course-style osechi with ingredients, and a Kyoto-style white miso ozoni. It started with otoso, and even the dessert was delicious.

Artistic Hotel
It is a stylish and quiet Hotel. The breakfast was served as a course and was delicious. The bed was fluffy and comfortable. The amenities seemed to be well-equipped, but there was no lotion, emulsion, or makeup remover. There was also no hair iron available for rent, which seemed less accommodating for women. There was a sheet mask, but it runs out at night. It might not be a problem for those who always carry their own, but for those who want to travel light, it might feel a bit lacking. We were helped with finding a place for dinner and arranging the Reservation, which was very helpful.

I think it's a very nice Hotel. The bathing area and the bathtub are both large and spacious. Also, the staff was very kind. The parking was free, and we were allowed to park until 1 PM. Thank you very much.

Very satisfied. It exceeded expectations!
Wonderful ART space with heartfelt service. Many delightful points were scattered throughout, and the thorough cleaning was also commendable. I was extremely satisfied. Actually, I do like ART, but I'm not very knowledgeable, so the staff kindly explained it to me. The quality of the Hotel itself is high, but the service level of the staff was exceptionally high. It has become one of my recommended Hotels.
