Otaru for the First Time in 30 Years
Conveniently located between JR Station and the Otaru Canal, about a 10-minute walk to either. The Room isn’t large, but it’s comfortable enough. The refrigerator is on the small side. The large public bath and open-air bath were great with well-stocked amenities, but bath towels and hand towels are not provided there, so bring them from your Room or request extras at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with each item carefully prepared. Reasonably priced and great value for money.

Beautiful view of Mt. Yotei
We stayed for three nights as a family and had a wonderful, comfortable time. Someday, we’d love to stay in the penthouse together. There are plenty of nearby gondolas and stylish shops to enjoy, and we’ve come to love Niseko in summer.

We stayed here with ...
We stayed here with my daughter and son-in-law and our grandchild. This was our third stay, and as always, the Room was clean, spacious, and we were very satisfied. Even with a small child, we could relax without worrying about disturbing others, which is always a big help. We would love to stay again.

A ski-in/ski-out Hotel
We stayed for 3 nights over the New Year holidays for a family ski trip (2 adults and 1 elementary-school child). We travel as a family about 40 nights a year. Location: We chose this Hotel because we wanted ski-in/ski-out access. There’s a convenience store within walking distance, and many restaurants are also nearby. One of the best locations in Niseko. Room: The bathroom area is compact, so the Room feels larger than the listed size. It also has a large refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen, so you can do simple cooking. Shared facilities: For travelers, the real estate office on the first floor isn’t necessary. It would have been perfect if there were a ski rental shop on-site—especially since it’s a ski-in Hotel. Right now, we have to go to a rental shop first thing in the morning to pick up skis, return to the Hotel, put them on, and then head to the slopes. Onsen: The main public bath is very small, but it is an Onsen. There are three private baths available, which we recommend. Breakfast: Buffet style. The quality isn’t very high. Since it was New Year’s, there were some osechi-style dishes. After 9:00 it got extremely crowded. Overall satisfaction: There were- probably only a few Japanese guests; English felt like the main language. Staff often spoke to us in fast English as usual, and depending on the time of day it could be hard to find someone who speaks Japanese. It really feels international—like being abroad while still in Japan. Niseko is fun if you want that “mini overseas” vibe.

Everything is perfect!
I stayed for 2 nights and everything was well-prepared, allowing me to relax as if I were at home. The view of Mt. Yotei from the room was beautiful. The staff provided attentive service even before my stay and offered shuttle service to the station, which I greatly appreciated. If I visit the Niseko area again, I would love to stay here once more. Thank you for a wonderful 2-night, 3-day experience!

Will it really improve?
Recently, I posted suggestions for service improvement and received a response from the hotel with an apology, reflection, and a promise to improve. What surprised me the most was that they were unaware of the invoice system nearly two years after its implementation. When the system began, most large companies adapted quickly. For instance, I frequently use JAL weekly, but when I requested a receipt at their counter, it did not include an invoice number. Even when I asked them to add it, even their manager was unaware of the invoice system. At that time, I was shocked that such a major company representing Japan like JAL didn’t know about it and told them on the spot to study properly. Eventually, they started including invoice numbers after some time. While Aya Niseko is not one of Japan's leading corporations like JAL, even small restaurants now include invoice numbers almost two years after the system's introduction. This hotel operates with individual owners for each room who decide whether or not to adopt the invoice system themselves. The room I stayed in apparently follows this system; perhaps this will lead to some feedback for its owner. Recently as well, I stayed at another hotel with high review scores for the first time; however both their service and facilities were terrible. After posting my review there too—similar apologies along with promises of reflection and improvement came back as responses from them too—but do they truly intend on improving? If improvements are made genuinely then staying again might be considered otherwise repeating such experiences would mean never returning again!

You should study taxation.
I have been using this accommodation every year, but the open-air bath is visible from outside, so partitions are essential. This year, I was told they were not available. Additionally, while Snow Niseko has recently opened and offers a restaurant even in summer, this hotel does not have one during that season. What surprised me the most was when I requested a receipt at checkout; it did not include an invoice number. Without this number, I cannot claim the accommodation cost as an expense and will lose out on the consumption tax portion. Despite nearly two years having passed since this system started, the front desk staff seemed unaware of it. It is shocking that such a prestigious hotel's front desk staff would be uninformed about something so essential. This may be because it is a hotel targeting inbound winter guests for whom this system does not apply; however, it is crucial for Japanese guests. When I explained the system to the front desk staff, they said they learned something new from me—but honestly, I was appalled. I don't think I'll ever return again.

Room with 3 Beds and View of Mount Yotei
This was our second stay following last year. This time, we stayed in a room with a view of Mt. Yotei. While the presence of the parking lot on the second floor and the visibility of the room from outside were slightly concerning, the breathtaking view of Mt. Yotei through the large window made up for it. Enjoying tea or drinks while admiring Mt. Yotei's ever-changing appearance in the morning and evening felt truly luxurious and offered an extraordinary experience. If I may suggest, it would be great if kitchen tools could be more comprehensive (e.g., adding items like mashers, blenders, or slicers). That said, everything from the room itself to the staff's hospitality, bath facilities, and overall atmosphere of this accommodation remains exceptional as always. I would love to return again someday. Thank you very much!

Perfect for a Multiple Night Stay and skiing. Had a very comfortable stay!
At the end of March, we stayed at this hotel for a multiple night stay to wrap up this ski season. The hotel is directly connected to the slopes, and with a ski valet available, we were able to enjoy skiing with children comfortably! The room we stayed in had two bedrooms, two toilets, both a shower room and a bathroom, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. It also included a washer with a drum-style dryer, making our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable for multiple nights! The staff were all very kind (many Japanese staff or those who can speak Japanese are available, so it’s reassuring). When I consulted about arranging a birthday cake for my child’s birthday during our stay, they responded politely. We celebrated with an incredibly delicious and beautiful birthday cake. The hotel even gave us gifts, making it an unforgettable and wonderful birthday & ski trip experience. Thank you very much!

Stayed with a group of 4 women.
We visited during the off-season on our way to Niseko and Hakodate. The 85 sqm Room had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and 2 toilets, offering a very comfortable layout. For breakfast, we bought bread and vegetables and enjoyed them in the Room together at a relaxed pace. We chose the Mt. Yotei view option, and through the large windows, Mt. Yotei was clearly visible—absolutely stunning! Everyone appreciated staying in such a great Room at an affordable price. Thank you very much!

A very pleasant accommodation that I would like to visit again.
I stayed in rooms 701 and 702. The view of Mount Yotei from both rooms was beautiful, with only slight differences in angle, and the view from the open-air bath was superb. The weather was good, and the moment the sun rose from the summit of Mount Yotei was almost mystical. The view from the side window of room 702 is a forest view, so in terms of the view from the windowed bath in each room, this one might be better. Additionally, the room preparation and cleaning, including the amenities, were thorough. When moving rooms, they prepared the new room earlier than the usual 3 PM check-in time, allowing us to use the new room immediately after checking out of the previous one. When I left something behind in the previous room, they promptly delivered it to me after I contacted them, which was very helpful. This time, I stayed with one other person, but next time, I would like to stay with a large group of relatives or friends.
