    We had a wonderful time.

I had a wonderful time. The Onsen was amazing, and I loved that I could soak for a long time. The meals were also great—I enjoyed kaiseki cuisine for both breakfast and dinner, which made me very happy. I would love to stay again.

    Overall, it was good.

Although the Facility was built during Japan’s bubble era and is older, it is solidly constructed, has been renovated, and is kept clean. Considering the price, the meals and service were also satisfying, making for a pleasant stay.

The hot spring was as wonderful as ever.

It had been a very long time since my last visit. The warm, homey atmosphere was just the same, and the Onsen water was as wonderful as ever. Lately I’ve mostly stayed at Accommodations with an Onsen in the Room, but I was reminded again how great Yunohana is—unchanged and truly special. I’ll be back again. The meals were delicious too.

Clean, and I was satisfied with the service.

Perhaps because it has just been renovated, the Facility was very beautiful and felt clean throughout. This time I stayed on a Plan without meals. Dinner and breakfast seem to be served mainly as set meals, but considering the price, I would personally be even happier if there were a buffet option. Especially for breakfast, having a buffet where you can choose what you like in the amount you want would make it easier to use casually. There is also a lounge available for guests, which was nice for relaxing. However, I felt satisfaction would be even higher with a few more light snacks or small nibbles. As for the Accommodation Fee, considering how clean the Facility is along with the service and Onsen, I think it is generally reasonably priced. The best part was the open-air bath. It felt very spacious and I could enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace, which was very satisfying. In smaller details, I appreciated that tags were provided to prevent mixing up slippers. Also, although this time it was a Room with futons, it was more comfortable than expected; the pillow suited me well and I slept soundly. Security also felt solid with features such as automatic locks and an in-room safe. At check-in my luggage was carried to my Room and I received a thorough explanation of the property. The staff were courteous as well, making my stay pleasant. On the other hand, I would like to see improvement in that Wi-Fi connection was sometimes unstable. Also, there are not many places nearby to walk around for entertainment, so this Hotel seems best suited for stays focused on relaxing at the Hotel itself. Overall, this Accommodation offered high satisfaction thanks to its Onsen, beautiful Facility, and attentive service. Although I stayed without meals this time, next time I would like to consider a Plan that includes meals.

    The service was excellent.

The restaurant staff were excellent—very kind to children, with outstanding hospitality. However, the Room was a bit disappointing, as the toilet’s water fixture was broken. Also, in the bath area, I encountered some disappointing behavior from Chinese guests, such as leaving the door open, slamming locker doors, and entering the bath without washing first.

    A Hotel near the Ryokan.

The Facility is old, but it has been renovated, and we had a comfortable stay. Unlike a Hotel, you can’t freely choose your meals, but the special kaiseki dinner was outstanding—every dish made the most of the ingredients. The sky stayed overcast with occasional light rain, but it cleared up briefly from late afternoon, and we could enjoy views from Sagami Bay all the way to the greater Tokyo area. It was a bit chilly, but in the Onsen with yuhana drifting in the water, our bodies warmed up quickly. Perfect when you want to relax and take it easy!

The golf course was right in front of us, and the peaceful, green surroundings were very relaxing. The staff service was pleasant and welcoming. The Onsen left our skin feeling smooth, and the hair dryers and showers were ReFa.

    We had a great time.

Although it was my first stay, the price was affordable and I was very satisfied with the meals, the Onsen, and the location. It was a little out of the way, so it felt like being in the forest and I could relax at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful

The view from the Room was wonderful, the open-air bath was spacious and the Onsen was excellent, the meals were delicious, and we could enjoy free coffee in the lounge. The Room was clean, and the Hotel staff were very thoughtful—everything was great.\n\nThe Shuttle Service bus from Odawara Station was also very helpful. We would love to stay again.

    The sulfur bath is amazing.

My father, who loves sulfur hot springs, has made this Hotel his favorite, and we stay here every year. Highlights of Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel - The sulfur open-air bath, renovated last year, is spacious with a gentle sulfur scent in the air and yunohana floating on the surface. - You can enjoy free coffee in the lounge. - There is a sunken kotatsu-style table by the window in the Room, which is very convenient. Meals are served in a large banquet hall; the portions are just right and everything tastes great. In a good way, I like that there aren’t excessive Facilities or services. That said, the staff service and the Hotel itself feel exactly as you’d expect from Prince. With these features at a price lower than average, it offers outstanding value for money.

    I was very satisfied.

The staff’s service was top-class. Thank you for a wonderful time. However, I would like a resting area near the exit as a meeting spot after bathing. Also, the bathroom floor was slippery and felt unsafe.

    Thank you very much.

The Facility did not feel old. The Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The open-air bath had wonderful water with a sulfur scent. However, the meals were underwhelming for both dinner and breakfast, and the dining area was a large hall that felt outdated. It was chilly by the window with cold air around my feet, so I asked if they could close the window during dinner, but they said it wasn’t possible because the air conditioning wasn’t on. There wasn’t even an apology, which made me feel their hospitality was lacking. It may have been due to a non-Japanese staff member’s Japanese ability, but unless the meals improve, I won’t be returning.

    Hakone Highland Hotel

A cool highland Onsen Hotel next to a golf course—perfect for a relaxing stay. There is a Shuttle Service from Odawara Station, which is convenient if you’re traveling by train. Seat availability and reservations for the bus are handled by phone only. The Facility feels somewhere between a Ryokan and a Hotel; while some equipment is older, everything is kept clean. The meals were just the right amount for us as a couple in our 50s—not too much. The water quality in the open-air bath was excellent. About one-third of the guests were overseas tour groups. There were also groups of younger guests using the golf course, so the baths were lively in the evening, but quiet in the morning. My wife and I signed up for a golf cart tour of the course, and it was great. You ride around 9 holes over about 30 minutes with automatic driving. Since you go around after most play has finished, it’s very peaceful. We listened to birdsong and even saw adult deer. We also heard that pheasants and raccoon dogs live there as well. Unlike Lake Ashi Prince, there’s very little you can explore on foot here. All staff members we interacted with were pleasant and courteous. It was wonderfully cool, and we had a truly relaxing time—thank you very much.

    Thank you for your support.

It was a rare find these days—an Accommodation where five people can stay in one Room—so we stayed here for a family trip. The building had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, and the aging Facilities were noticeable, but more than anything, we were impressed by how quick and attentive the staff were and by their genuine hospitality. It’s not a modern luxury Accommodation, but it made for an easygoing, unpretentious, slow-paced trip. Due to rising prices, the meals felt a bit modest—there were no Onsen-style egg dishes or natto—but considering the situation, it seemed unavoidable. Lastly, it became one of our happy travel memories to discover that you knew an employee who helped me at the Prince Hotel where I stayed before—we enjoyed having something in common to talk about. I hope we can meet again somewhere someday.

It was a unique, out-of-the-ordinary space with wonderful hospitality.

Because it is far from public transportation, I really enjoyed the spacious Accommodation next to the golf course. I was also very happy with how courteous and attentive the staff were. It was reassuring that you confirmed details in advance, such as meal information and arrival arrangements. I booked breakfast only; it was a delicious Japanese-style meal, and the portion size was just right. Above all, the open-air Onsen bath with sulfur-rich water felt wonderful. I imagine it would be even better when combined with a round of golf. Areas for improvement: - There were a few missed spots in the Room cleaning (a plastic bottle cap was left on the floor). - Since it is quite remote, we rented a car this time; if possible, I would appreciate more robust public transportation access and a pick-up service.

    Year-End Family Trip

It was my first time back in Hakone in a while, and everything—the Room, the view, the Onsen, the meals, the service, and the Hotel staff—was top-notch. I would definitely like to stay at this Accommodation again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

An Accommodation proud of its excellent Japanese cuisine and high-quality hot spring waters.

This is a very impressive Hotel attached to a golf course, but the only rooms with views other than the golf course are the 4th-floor Premium Rooms. Onsen: The water quality is excellent. There is only one open-air bath for the natural Onsen, but if more baths were added, it would be an even more perfect Accommodation. Dining: The Japanese cuisine here is high quality and very delicious, even compared with other Ryokan and Hotels in the same price range. Building: Built to high specifications during Japan’s bubble era, it is solidly constructed. Highly recommended as a first-night Accommodation before heading to the Izu Peninsula or nearby areas.

    It was quiet and relaxing.

The room was a spacious corner Japanese-style Room and very clean. The bath was a large open-air bath with milky white water, providing a relaxing experience. The guests were pleasant, making this one of the Hotels I would like to visit again.

    The open-air bath was excellent.

We stayed at the accommodation for a family trip, drawn by the allure of the sulfur onsen. Although it was a hotel and we didn’t have high expectations, the staff warmly welcomed us by escorting us to our room during check-in and providing a thorough explanation of the facilities. The exterior showed some signs of age, but thanks to renovations and meticulous maintenance, both the guest rooms and interior spaces were exceptionally clean and exuded a sense of luxury. In the evening, we enjoyed leisurely moments within the facility, including illuminated walking paths, a lounge offering complimentary drinks, and a souvenir corner. While I don’t usually prefer shabu-shabu, every dish from appetizers to dessert was delicious. At the dining area, staff kindly took family photos for us—a thoughtful gesture that left us feeling grateful. Soaking in the onsen under moonlight exceeded all expectations and became an unforgettable experience. We would love to stay here again when visiting Hakone!

Gourmet cuisine, Onsen, and a scenic Japanese garden.

A favorite accommodation where you can relax with a room offering a great view and an onsen. This was my second visit because I really wanted to bring my friend to this onsen. Although we booked a no meals included reservation, my friend surprised me with a full-course dinner and even arranged for a birthday cake. The staff kindly offered to deliver the cake to our room, considering how full we were, and even provided complimentary drinks. Thank you so much for the thoughtful service! The only minor issue was the small refrigerator, but everything else was perfect. Thank you for taking care of us!

    Bath

The open-air Onsen was absolutely wonderful. Towels were readily available in the bath area, and being able to use multiple ones was very convenient. Ice pops were provided in the lounge, allowing for a relaxing time after bathing. I only wish they were available after the morning bath as well. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

A Long-Awaited Stay in Hakone Accommodation

We stayed here as a family during the summer vacation. It was our first time in a while staying at an accommodation in Hakone, and we were able to relax very much! Located further up from Yumoto and Miyanoshita, it felt more like being surrounded by nature in the mountains rather than a typical onsen town. Even in midsummer, the mornings and evenings were cool. We didn’t know it had been renovated, but the room had the fresh scent of new tatami mats, making it feel like staying in a new building, which was great. The open-air onsen also had a sulfur aroma; while our child wasn’t fond of it, we adults couldn’t get enough and ended up soaking multiple times. The staff provided excellent service, and the meals were delicious as well. We would love to stay here again if we have another opportunity!

    A Long-Awaited Family Trip

The day before our stay, a storm caused road closures leading to the Hotel, and we were worried about whether we could make it. However, when we called to confirm, the staff provided accurate updates on the situation, allowing us to travel with peace of mind. The Room was spacious enough for four adults to relax comfortably. The Onsen met our expectations, and the meals were absolutely delicious—completely satisfying. Since the weather was still bad the next day, we decided to postpone activities for another time. Next time, we hope to visit as a family of four and enjoy some golf!

    After the renovation...

After the renovation, the Room had a fresh scent of new tatami, and the slightly higher seating made it comfortable for my mother with leg issues to enjoy her time in the Room. The staff's service was excellent, and breakfast offered a variety of small portions with beautiful presentation, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

    I brought my American mother.

An American mother visited Japan with her third son's family, and we took them to Hakone. It was our first time staying at Yunohana Hotel, and the location was fantastic with a golf course right outside the window and a stunning view of Lake Ashi in the distance. The scenery was truly breathtaking. The hotel has been renovated, featuring beautiful interiors, and there was a complimentary drink corner open until late, showing great consideration for guests. The meals were exceptional as well. Honestly, we didn’t have high expectations for dining at a Seibu accommodation, but it far exceeded our expectations—it was absolutely delicious! Both the presentation and content of the dishes were thoughtfully crafted. Attention to detail could be seen everywhere; instead of renovating everything in the room entirely, they focused on making necessary areas clean and user-friendly. There were also thoughtful accommodations for elderly guests that made my American mom very happy. Next time, I’d love to come back for golfing! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

    Used during the New Year

The staff were very nice. However, the food was terrible, even considering the New Year's pricing. Did the head chef who served the dried salmon roe that stuck to the roof of my mouth ever taste their own cooking? The ingredients were not to blame, so I finished the meal, but needless to say, everything was bad. Breakfast starting at 8 AM is too late. The aging of the Facility is undeniable, and while this is unavoidable, the futon provided had bloodstains on it. This was my first experience like this. I hope the management will live up to the name of Prince Hotel.

I felt safe and comfortable using it.

We stayed here for a family trip with my mother. The facility was clean and well-maintained, the meals were not extravagant but carefully prepared, and the staff's hospitality made it a very satisfying and reliable hotel. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent, and we used it multiple times. However, the door was slightly old, making it heavy to open and close manually. Since it doesn't close automatically, there were times when outside air entered the indoor bath due to forgetting to close it properly, which made it cold at times. Especially during winter when the cold is more noticeable, I hope they consider replacing at least the door leading to the open-air bath with a new one. This is definitely one of the hotels I would like to visit again if given another opportunity. Thank you very much!

    It is a good Stays.

Adjacent to the golf course, you can overlook the golf course from the window, and the view is excellent. The facility feels a bit old, but it is well-cleaned, and I had a pleasant stay. Also, the greetings from all the staff were nice, and I think it is a good property.
