    It was a high-quality Onsen Ryokan.

    We stayed as a family. The coast is visible from the Room, but unfortunately it was cloudy so we couldn’t enjoy the sunset. The in-room bath has a great view and feels luxurious. Above all, the Room was very clean, and the cuisine—both ingredients and technique—was excellent, making for a highly satisfying stay. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches: complimentary wine on the rooftop terrace and complimentary ice cream in front of the large public bath. The staff were consistently courteous, and it was a very comfortable Accommodation experience.

    Three of us (all women) stayed here. The staff’s hospitality was wonderful, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The bath was also clean and lovely. The sound of the waves was soothing and relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and we enjoyed chatting with the person who served our meals—everything impressed us from start to finish. If we come back to Yuhigaura again, we will definitely stay here again!

    It was very relaxing and pleasantly quiet.

    I visited Yuhigaura Onsen once over 20 years ago (at a different Ryokan) and had wonderful memories, so this time I finally made a Reservation at this Ryokan. There is a sandy beach right in front, and the rooftop has a terrace with sofas where you can enjoy the view. It’s only about a 3-minute walk to the beach, and there is also a proper foot-washing area by the back entrance, so the Facility was well equipped overall. However, two things were disappointing. First, at check-in, I felt that an older female staff member at the front desk treated me coldly in an unpleasant way. Second, even though I told them my breakfast start time at check-in and it was written on the paper as well, on the morning of my stay—one hour before that time—a male staff member suddenly opened my door and came in to start putting away the futon bedding. It really startled me and made me panic. He apologized at checkout, but it was still stressful at the time. That said, dinner was truly relaxing—delicious food while watching the sunset—and the staff service there was excellent.

    We stayed here during the Obon holidays. We arrived early, but they kindly stored our luggage, so we were able to take a walk along the coast and enjoy the scenery. After check-in, we had welcome tea in our Room. Our attendant was an international staff member, but their Japanese explanations were excellent, and their warm smile left a great impression. What kind of tea was it? It was very delicious. The Onsen in the Room felt wonderful on the skin, and we could relax and fully enjoy it while taking in the view. Dinner was very satisfying—the sashimi was fresh, and the abalone in particular was outstanding. They also accommodated ingredients we cannot eat, which we really appreciated. After returning to our Room, we enjoyed the Onsen again, and they even adjusted the temperature for us, making our stay extremely comfortable. In addition, we had an urgent matter late at night this time; despite the late hour, the staff responded very quickly and courteously, for which we are truly grateful. Breakfast was also excellent—the rice cooked in a traditional pot was especially delicious. We will visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

    The food is excellent.

    The kaiseki dinner was absolutely delicious. Every dish was exquisite and carefully prepared, with flavors and creativity that set it apart from typical kaiseki—I could really feel the chef’s attention to detail. It was so good I wanted to meet the head chef. If it was this amazing in August, I can only imagine how incredible it will be during crab season. I’d love to visit again in crab season. Thank you very much.

    Ryokan Review

    I was a little unsure how to enter from the parking lot to the entrance. When I entered, slippers were lined up, but when my companion came in, there were no slippers, so it seems they came to the Room as they were. All of the food was carefully prepared, and I was very satisfied. The Room and bath felt a bit smaller than I had expected.

    Full Crab Course Meal

    We enjoyed an amazing crab feast while looking out at the sea! The Onsen was also the best for me—hot, free-flowing water that felt wonderfully invigorating, and I soaked until I was completely relaxed. There was so much crab at dinner that I felt like I won’t need to eat any more this year—I was beyond satisfied and absolutely delighted! We’ll be back again next year.

    Breakfast was disappointing.

    Dinner the previous night was good, so I expected breakfast to be good as well, but the main grilled fish (flounder) looked overcooked—almost burnt. A female staff member in charge of meals told me, “It’s cold, so please warm it up on this plate,” but after heating it, it became even drier and tasted bad. I don’t understand how anyone could serve food grilled like that. Overall hospitality was good, but that one breakfast item left me disappointed.

    I’m satisfied.

    We stayed as a family of four to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind and truly hospitable. They even took surprise photos during dinner, and at check-out they presented them to us beautifully framed—my mother was delighted. Of course, every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious, and we were completely satisfied. We were especially impressed by the rice served right in front of us from the pot. The butterfly-shaped carrot garnish on the sashimi was also adorable (sorry for such a tiny detail). The Room with an ocean view was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and both the rooftop terrace and the large public bath were wonderful. The only slight disappointment was that we couldn’t see the sunset because the weather wasn’t great; otherwise, everything exceeded our expectations. My mother must have been very happy—she even sent a letter after we returned home, and we received a thoughtful thank-you call in return. We felt this Accommodation offers attentive care in every way. Thank you for creating such a special memory for us. She keeps saying, “If I’m still well enough, please take me again,” so I’m sure we’ll be back. We look forward to staying with you again.

    I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    The end of the summer season allowed us to quietly enjoy the Onsen and cuisine. The room with a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the rooftop Sky Terrace was a perfect place to unwind from summer fatigue. We chose Kasumi crab as it was in season, and its size exceeded our expectations, making it incredibly delicious. For those unfamiliar with handling whole boiled crabs, requesting a tutorial might be helpful, but tackling it yourself is part of the fun of eating crab. We were very satisfied with thoughtful hospitality such as local sake tasting, complimentary ice cream at the post-bath area, and chairs by the elevator. The Onsen, where you can relax while listening only to the sound of waves, was exceptionally clean and refreshing.

    Accommodation with stunning sunsets and warm hospitality

    The facilities, including the accommodation itself, were standard in evaluation, but the location and the onsen in the room provided a highly satisfying experience. Additionally, the meals were excellent, with a variety and content that catered well to children. However, the most commendable aspect of this accommodation is undoubtedly the hospitality of all staff members. While the beauty of the sunset was remarkable, it was surpassed by their exceptional service in areas such as shuttle service and meal delivery. Their warm hospitality made us want to visit again. My family and I were thoroughly satisfied—thank you very much for this wonderful stay!

    I used this place as a venue for my proposal. The service was exceptional, from the initial consultation to the day itself. The view from the room was stunning, and as the name "Yuhigaura" suggests, the scenery around sunset was breathtaking. The meals were meticulously prepared and served with a warm touch that didn’t feel overly formal. The room with a semi-open-air bath was fantastic, allowing us to fully enjoy Onsen without needing to visit the large communal bath. It truly felt like an unforgettable experience that makes me want to return again.

    Girls' Trip

    This was my first visit to Yuhigaura Onsen. The ocean view right in front of me was absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset filled me with happiness and awe. Every dish served was delicious, especially the grilled abalone—it was incredibly tasty. The onsen made my skin feel so smooth, it was amazing! I also tried the stone sauna and worked up a very satisfying sweat—completely worth it. It was a great accommodation! However, one small concern... I wondered if people from the beach could see into the open-air bath? That made me a little uneasy. Other than that, everything was perfect. Next time, I hope to bring my grandchild for some beach fun!

    Family Trip 2025/04/12

    My family (myself, my wife, and my daughter), along with my parents and my wife's parents, a total of 7 people, went on a one-night trip to Amanohashidate for sightseeing. Although it was a bit far from Osaka, the staff at the Ryokan were very welcoming, the food was delicious, and it was fantastic! We would love to visit again in summer!

    Satisfying Accommodation

    My first visit to Yuhigaura was wonderful! A relaxing 2-day, 1-night trip that left me refreshed. The accommodation was excellent! The sunset from the Sky Terrace was especially beautiful and soothing. Perhaps because of my busy daily life, I truly appreciated the calm and relaxing atmosphere of this accommodation. It happened to be my birthday on the day of my stay, and I received a photo as a gift—thank you so much for that thoughtful gesture! The staff were kind and approachable, making my time there even more enjoyable. This has become one of the accommodations I definitely want to visit again!

    It was a very good accommodation.

    The room features large windows offering a breathtaking view of the snow-covered sea, leaving us speechless. On clear days, you can enjoy stunning sunsets and starry skies. The location is truly exceptional. The room amenities are top-notch, including a delicious coffee maker, a ReFa hair dryer, a 65-inch TV with Netflix access, spacious indoor Onsen baths, and comfortable samue robes. Dinner was a crab-focused meal tailored for smaller appetites—just the right amount to finish without waste. Breakfast was equally delightful with perfectly seasoned dishes and delicious rice. As for areas of improvement as a high-class accommodation, perhaps the service could be refined slightly. Check-in was conducted at the counter; however, it’s becoming more common to have staff greet guests at sofas or seating areas instead. The dinner server was friendly and pleasant but the sound of footsteps in the hallway and double knocks on doors were slightly distracting. We visit accommodations in Northern Kinki every year during crab season and this is definitely an accommodation we’d love to return to again!

    Thank you for your stay with us. Although the weather wasn't perfect, we enjoyed a crab-focused trip, which is expected during this season. The dinner was delightful as we savored fresh crab and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly, which made the experience even better. The Room was comfortable, stylish, and very cozy. By the way, my daughter loved the Balmuda speaker in the room so much that she immediately purchased one on Amazon. The only downside was that the smoking area was completely outdoors, which was quite tough for smokers. It would have been nice to have an enclosed space with heating...

    Excellent

    Despite concerns about the cold wave, the roads were cleared of snow, and we were able to enjoy our stay without any issues. Upon arrival, it was sleeting, but we were warmly welcomed with umbrellas for everyone as soon as we parked, which was truly touching. Both the bath and meals exceeded expectations—asking for more would be unreasonable!

    I had another relaxing and leisurely stay. The timing was perfect with snow covering the ground, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful snowy scenery and the rough sea from our Room—it was amazing. The crab was exceptional, exceeding all expectations. The staff were kind and taught us how to eat it at its best, making it even more delicious. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared with a light seasoning that was very tasty. Even the tableware showed great attention to detail, providing satisfaction through sight, touch, and taste. This Ryokan has become one of the places I want to visit again. I’m looking forward to crab season even more now! Thank you so much to the hostess who greeted us with a smile and all the staff who made our stay wonderful!

    Autumn Trip

    Arriving at Yunohama Onsen Hanasen after exploring the beautiful scenery of the Tango Peninsula, we were warmly welcomed and immediately enjoyed a relaxing stone sauna while watching the setting sun—a truly moving experience. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful, beautifully presented, and delicious. While the meals were satisfying, it was the warm hospitality and smiles of the staff that made this autumn trip a memorable one. Thank you very much; we hope to visit again someday!

    Accommodation with infants

    We stayed with our 2-month-old baby. It was great that they provided a stand and bed for the baby. The food was excellent, very delicious, and plentiful. The building is old but well-maintained and clean. The bath was a bit small. We stayed in the annex, but moving between the main building and annex was slightly inconvenient, and the floor layout was a bit confusing. The rooftop deck offers a great view with beautiful sunsets, but it can be cold as there’s no shelter. Service was good overall; however, some additional items like alcohol had to be paid in cash—having an electronic payment option would improve convenience. It doesn’t give off the impression of being a top-tier luxury Ryokan, but considering the food and price point, it offers good value for money. I’d like to stay here again if I have another opportunity!

    A Trip for Four Women Around Their 60s

    We stayed as a group of four moms. The room was clean and well-maintained. The futons were very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. The meal course was abundant, almost too much to finish. Everything was delicious, but for our age group, the portions could be slightly smaller. The staff's hospitality was kind and attentive, leaving us very satisfied. The free drink area at the "Sky Terrace" felt a bit narrow and located right by the stairs, which seemed slightly unsafe. When there are many guests staying, the changing room might feel a bit cramped. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset this time; however, if we have another chance in the future, we would love to stay again! Thank you very much!
