Enjoy two full days of fun at the Facility.

With the Kakegawa Station–Hotel Shuttle Service running every hour, we were able to enjoy ourselves even on a train trip without needing to leave the Hotel. Since it was after the Obon holidays, both the outdoor pool and Forest Onsen were fairly quiet, and we could ride the slides many times with little waiting. The kids spent two full days in the pool, while I relaxed in the Onsen. One of the main reasons we chose Tsumagoi Resort was the illuminated night pool, which I was most looking forward to. However, it got cold around 6:00 p.m., so we couldn’t wait until it got dark and ended up leaving early. Also, since our stay was in the South Wing (right in front of the forest), we couldn’t see the lights from our Room—this was my only real disappointment. In the middle of the night, an insect that looked like a beetle got into our Room and woke me up; a front desk staff member helped us handle it. It’s something that can happen at an older Resort Hotel, so I suppose it can’t be helped. I love eel and had been looking forward to it because Reviews were positive, but by around 7:30 p.m. at dinner there was none left—another disappointment. That said, there was plenty of crab, and my child was very happy with favorites like salmon and mini cakes. The green tea soba noodles were delicious with tempura, grated daikon, and grated yam—and I even bought some at the shop on our way out. On departure day we had trouble because my child didn’t return from the pool by our planned time and we almost missed the Shuttle Service bus to the station, but two young staff members (a man and a woman) kindly went out of their way to help us—thank you so much! Overall, we’d definitely like to come again. Even though it was summer vacation season, it was very affordable; for this price point these Facilities and meals are more than enough. If you don’t expect luxury—given things like an older building and thin walls—the activity pack Plan is perfect for families who want lots to do without spending extra money. Not having to drive meant I could start drinking beer from midday (and my husband would be thrilled too), plus there are plenty of smoking areas. Next time I’d like to arrive in the morning so we can try archery and putter golf as well—and I plan to stay on the Northwest side where you can look down over the illuminations. *The air conditioning in our South Wing Room was too strong; when I lowered it by one level it became too warm instead—I couldn’t fine-tune it.*

    ククリ

It was my first time visiting.

The bath facilities require taking a bus or car to get there, and there are stairs everywhere, so it wasn’t suitable for elderly guests. It was nice that they had unusual baths such as a tea bath. When we went at night, there were many families, and it was so noisy that we couldn’t relax. Given the size of the Hotel, that bath area is likely to get very crowded. I felt it would have been manageable if there had been ramps instead.

    Satisfied with the pool

We stay here every summer. The Tsumagoi pool isn’t overly large, and there are several types of water slides, so there’s almost no waiting time and you can really enjoy it. There’s a wide variety of food options that both kids and adults will be satisfied with, and the eel was delicious as well. It’s a very spacious Facility where you can relax and enjoy many different activities. If I could add one thing, I think we’d be even more satisfied if there were a lounge or other place to unwind, even if it required an additional fee. We’d like to come again next year.

    I’ve stayed here many times.

This is my son’s favorite Hotel. He comes for the large pool and water slide. It’s usually not too crowded, so it feels like a hidden gem. The Hotel is quite old and worn, but the low price makes up for it. The food is fairly good, which I also love.

    It’s been 45 years.

I visited again for the first time in 45 years. I still remember the salad being topped with cornflakes. The Facility was so clean that it didn’t feel old at all. The Onsen was also great, and I really enjoyed the meals, with a nice selection of Shizuoka specialties. For my generation, Tsumagoi is synonymous with Popcon and the early days of outdoor live concerts, so I’d love to see an expanded music-related section. Also, I’d like you to display photos of Arere no Re—now Stardust Revue—who received an Excellence Award when Kurikin won. I’ll be back again.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could? Wouldn’t it be nice to have it?

We could never forget the wonderful forest hot springs and the all-you-can-eat eel and crab meals, so this was our second stay. This time we checked in early and truly enjoyed our stay at Tsumagoi Resort Sai-no-Sato. This Review may be a bit critical, but we would like to share our thoughts as people in the early senior age group. - There are many stairs, which was very difficult for us with knee and hip problems. From the South Wing to the restaurant, we had to go up and down stairs. We would be happy if it were possible to enter from the restaurant garden so that guests can avoid using stairs. We understand construction would be required, so it may not be something that can be done immediately. - We would like you to offer decaffeinated options for tea and coffee served at the restaurant. Caffeine keeps us from sleeping at night, so this time we refrained from drinking them. - We would appreciate it if takeaway coffee or tea could be available near the restaurant exit. During this stay, there was also a group of about 240 female students staying at the same time. The staff informed us of their group dining times, which helped us avoid peak crowding at the restaurant. However, our mealtimes ended up being late, and we felt rushed until checkout. In situations like this, we would be grateful if checkout time could be extended slightly. We hope to come back again for a relaxing stay. Thank you very much to all of your staff for taking such good care of us.

Popcon is a distant memory on a spring hillside.

Once famous as a sacred place for music, it’s hard to believe Popcon was already 40 years ago. The Hotel displays photos from that time. Facilities are scattered across the spacious grounds, and the early-blooming cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Online information is helpful for access. You can temporarily park in front of the main lobby to check in, though it may feel a bit inconvenient on rainy days. Depending on the time of day, the front desk gets crowded and lines form, but the staff’s explanations are courteous and thorough. The North Wing is connected by corridors, and there is a large parking lot on the north side. The interior has a nostalgic Showa-era feel, with large windows. From north-facing Rooms you can see distant views; from south-facing Rooms, at this time of year you can look down on the garden illuminations. The Room had a unit bath with a separate washing area and four beds—clean, spacious, and very Showa-era in style. Alcoholic beverages are only available at the main lobby shop/counter. Meal hours are set but there are no fixed seating times, so you can go whenever you like within operating hours. The buffet venue doesn’t get too crowded and is quieter than expected. The food felt better than its price would suggest. Nights are quiet, and the beds are comfortable for sleeping.

    Enjoy bathing in nature.

A shuttle service operates within the premises, providing transportation to Tsumagoi Onsen Forest Hot Spring. The open-air bath offers a 180-degree view of the forest, blending seamlessly with the sky. Taking a deep breath towards the forest feels as though more oxygen permeates your body than usual. It was an amazing Onsen experience.

    We stayed as a family.

The parking lot exit may have a slope in some areas, which could cause the front of certain cars to scrape. Some rooms offer views of Mount Fuji.

    Summer Vacation

Enjoy summer with kids at the pool and tennis. The Facility felt a bit outdated, but it was acceptable. Would love to visit again if there are interesting events!

The Forest Hot Spring was wonderful.

We stayed here for a family trip. The building overall gives an old impression. Both dinner and breakfast were buffets with a wide variety, which was great. It was very crowded with many families, but the number of staff seemed sufficient. The Facility is quite spacious, so it felt like you would need a car to get here.

    Would love to stay again.

I chose to stay at North based on reviews. The room was impeccably clean, and the meals were delicious. However, the property is vast, and moving around in this heat was challenging; even the children got tired, so we skipped Mori no Yu and used the bath in our room instead. I would love to stay again next time, but considering the possibility of rain... I'm hesitant. While it may require significant costs, I feel that adding indoor facilities like a pool or play area for all-weather use could increase its popularity. Thank you for your hospitality!

The atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned, but the meals were delicious, the rooms were excellent, and I was very satisfied.

The towels were fluffy and comfortable as mentioned in the reviews. The air conditioning was powerful and kept the room very cool. The buffet meals were delicious, though some seats had poor air conditioning. It was great to be able to use the onsen until night even after checkout. A parking lot near the pool would be convenient. We received a second key upon request, but it would be better if two keys were provided from the start. Having an ice machine available was a nice touch.

    Used since music school days.

I stayed here again since my student days when I used this accommodation for a training camp. The room was on the 3rd floor, facing the parking lot. While the view wasn't great, the room was quite spacious. The building and room do show their age, with noticeable issues like peeling wallpaper on hallway ceilings. What stood out to me was the bed; it seemed to be an old spring mattress, causing significant back pain. There was only one type of pillow available, which didn’t suit me and resulted in neck pain as well. My wife experienced similar discomfort throughout her body. As a result, we frequently woke up due to pain and barely got any sleep. It would be helpful if there were multiple pillow options available at least. The bath is worth using, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes that were satisfying. I hope for repairs in deteriorated areas and changes to the beds in the rooms in future stays. Lastly, I must commend all staff members for their kindness and attentive service—it was truly excellent. This memorable resort holds special value for us; we look forward to staying here again!

A vast resort surrounded by nature

A nostalgic spot for seniors, we visited with three generations. Blessed with good weather, the children played in nature. The Facility feels a bit old but has been renovated. Using the Onsen was slightly inconvenient. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, it would have been nice to see more variety in the buffet options.

I have stayed in the North Wing twice before and had a great experience, but this time in the South Wing, the sofa bed was broken. When I informed the front desk, their response was disappointing. I won’t be staying here again!

This time, due to an urgent matter, I used it with almost a same-day reservation. I felt the age of the facility, but it was well cleaned. The price felt very reasonable with breakfast and dinner buffets included. Despite that, the staff at the front desk and restaurant were courteous, allowing me to have a pleasant stay.

    I used it for work.

I had work in Kikugawa and decided to stay at an Onsen instead of a Business Hotel. The Room was very spacious and comfortable, and the meals were good, but the eel I was looking forward to was a bit disappointing. The main Onsen was not within the facility and required a car to get there, so by the time I returned to the Room, my body had cooled down. This Hotel is enjoyable if you're looking for a relaxing resort stay rather than for business purposes.

The building felt old, but overall it was good. It was unfortunate that there were fingerprints from previous guests on the large window.
