    As a vacation home alternative

    Right in front of Kugenuma Beach, it was quiet and away from the bustle of Enoshima. It’s a wonderful small Hotel where you can enjoy a special getaway while truly relaxing. The in-Room meals were delicious, and we also appreciated that the Hotel partners with great nearby restaurants and provides Shuttle Service. The staff were all kind as well. We felt it would be an excellent place to stay as a vacation home alternative.

    A Hotel near the station for guests seeking a quiet stay

    Very quiet—recommended for couples who want to spend time alone. The view is a bit disappointing because there is a different type of Hotel next door. All meals are delivered to your Room. There are also many excellent restaurants nearby, which we recommend as well. You can walk to the beach.

    A relaxing retreat after sightseeing

    The Hotel felt pleasantly small and had a very relaxing atmosphere.\nThe Room was spacious and clean, and the amenities were well stocked. I especially appreciated that they provided a hair iron.\n\nAbove all, every staff member was kind, and we truly felt their hospitality.\nAfter check-in, we were heading to Enoshima Island, and they asked, “Where are you going next? If you’d like, we can provide Shuttle Service,” then took us all the way to our destination. It’s a bit far from the station, but thanks to the Shuttle Service we could travel very comfortably.\n\nHighly recommended for an adult getaway if you want to spend time peacefully in a calming space.\nIt was such a wonderful Hotel that my companion and I even said we’d like to stay here again if we have the chance to visit Enoshima.

    I’ve been wanting to come here.

    Even though I had plans in Yokohama during the day and could have made it a day trip, I wanted to stay here so much that I booked a night before. I’ve stayed several times, but this was my first time in this Room, and it was spacious and comfortable. They brought my chosen welcome drink and sweets to the Room, and I also enjoyed the in-room dining—everything made for a truly relaxing stay. I’ve already made my next Reservation. I’m looking forward to coming back.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied. The toilet and washroom were spacious, the jacuzzi bath was very relaxing, and the staff were always kind and helpful. The surfing lesson was also excellent. The only downside was that parking was difficult. Although the staff guided us properly, it was hard to maneuver the car, so we couldn’t go out by car.

    Everything is great.

    At first, I planned to head home on a day trip, but I decided to make the most of it and made a Reservation at the Hotel. You can choose from several welcome drinks, and you can also select your amenities (they’re adorable). The Hotel is so comfortable that once you check in, you won’t want to go out. The bath was amazing—there’s a spacious bathtub where you can fully stretch out, with bubbles. You can also choose bath salts at check-in (I picked mineral salt from Israel). There’s even a mist sauna, so I kept going back and forth between the bath and my Room. All the staff were kind and shared recommendations for restaurants. Bicycle rentals are available (please confirm), and it was fun exploring the town. A 12:00 checkout is another great point—you can really take your time. They provided Shuttle Service to the station, and all the staff saw me off with warm greetings until the very end. It truly made me feel grateful for such a comfortable stay. I’d love to stay again.

    From the Shuttle Service and arrival to the front desk, everyone was very kind. They delivered our luggage to our Room, which was spotless, and even brought breakfast to our Room. We truly had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

    Highly satisfied.

    We were welcomed with warm smiles and were truly impressed by the attentive hospitality. There was a wide variety of amenities, and I even had trouble deciding what to choose. We chose a Plan that included breakfast and dinner served in our Room, and we were very satisfied with the high quality. Next time, I’d love to stay when the weather is nice so we can enjoy the scenery as well.

    Recommended for sightseeing around Enoshima.

    The staff’s smiles were wonderful, and I think this Accommodation is perfect. They also offer a Shuttle Service from Kugenuma-Kaigan Station or Katase-Enoshima Station, and when I said after check-in that I wanted to go to Enoshima, they took me to Katase-Enoshima Station, and on the way back they came to pick me up at the station as well. We had both dinner and breakfast in our room. Nothing flashy, but it was more than tasty enough. The only drawback is that there isn’t a convenience store nearby. However, you can just shop at Kugenuma-Kaigan Station or Katase-Enoshima Station before check-in. There’s hardly anything to deduct as an Accommodation. I’d definitely like to stay again.

    Solo Travel Grounding Experience

    I’d long heard from an acquaintance living in Shonan about the calm, seaside everyday life, so I stayed here from Kansai when I needed a break from my busy routine. The Hotel was even closer to the ocean than I expected, and I was able to enjoy both the sunset and refreshing morning earthing by the sea. The bath had a mist sauna, which gently helped me Clear my mind and switch off from a lifestyle where it’s hard to separate work and rest. I could do desk work in the Room, and having meals served in the Room 24 hours a day with no time restrictions felt perfect for working women who need to recharge. I’d like to make time to visit again. Next time, I’m looking forward to staying in a different type of Room and spending time while enjoying the seaside view. Thank you very much.

    The Best Place in Kugenuma Kaigan

    I’m a middle-aged man traveling solo, and I chose this Hotel for its perfect location because I wanted to visit Kugenuma Coast. The sunset that day was beautiful, and there were waves, with many surfers out on the water. I had planned to eat out at night, but since there was a Diamond member discount, I decided to dine in my Room instead. For Room service it was reasonably priced; I ordered several items and ate in the Room. Everything was served piping hot, which I really appreciated. It was also great to be able to enjoy breakfast in the Room at a relaxed pace. It’s a small Hotel, but that meant it never felt hectic, and I could spend my time feeling calm and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable as well. I rated amenities 4 because they seem more tailored toward women (it would be 5 if I were female), and food 4 because the soup curry wasn’t quite to my taste. Everything else was perfect. The hospitality truly lived up to its reputation. Thank you very much!

    Anniversary/Breakfast Plan

    We stayed here because my daughter wanted to spend her 20th birthday at a Hotel with an ocean view. She was very happy with the cute decorations and the Room overlooking the sea. The welcome drinks had a great variety, and there was also a JILL STUART amenity set, which she loved. The staff were very courteous, and we would like to stay again.

    It was a Hotel full ...

    It was a Hotel full of warm hospitality. They kindly assisted with parking guidance and prepared a birthday bouquet, among many other thoughtful touches. I personally appreciated having an air purifier and humidifier. The Room was clean, with large windows and a beautiful view.

    It was a Hotel that exceeded its reputation.

    I’d been wanting to stay here for a long time because the Reviews were so highly rated, and this time I visited on a solo trip. It took less than 10 minutes from check-in to getting into my Room, but the moment I stepped inside, I emailed my family: “You should come here right away.” From check-in onward, I was amazed—“You do all of this for guests?” Even the in-room amenities and welcome drinks weren’t just there for show; everything was filled with things that genuinely made me happy as the recipient. The biscuits in the lobby were from a brand I’ve always loved, so sorry for taking them so many times (lol). Just across one street is a calm sea, and at sunset you can see breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji—I had no idea such a wonderful place existed less than two hours from home. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Thank you very much.

    Attentive, full-service hospitality

    Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. We were able to relax, and we also appreciated the Shuttle Service to dinner. However, we were a little disappointed with both the Japanese and Western breakfast options.

    I’m not sure how to put it.

    I hope this comes across as a blend of the relaxation of an Onsen Accommodation and hospitality on par with a luxury Hotel. It’s close to the sea, and while the Hotel is compact, it was truly soothing—especially appreciated by women, I think. My personal highlights: (1) the table in the Room is height-adjustable, (2) there are a mattress warmer and towel warmer, (3) the toothpaste is GUM, (4) a cado humidifier, (5) even the sanitary bags are stylish, and (6) a mist sauna in natural radium… I may run out of space. Above all, the staff’s level of service was outstanding. Even at well-known Hotels there’s often at least one disappointing staff member somewhere, so I’d love to know how you train such consistently attentive hospitality. I’m sure our same-day Reservation caused some trouble, but being refreshed by the sea, Mt. Fuji, the baths, and your hospitality has given me energy to focus on work again today.

    Perfect in every way

    I hadn't read the reviews on IKYU carefully, but with such a high rating (close to 4.8 stars), I was curious and decided to book a multiple night stay with high expectations. After staying, I completely understood why it had such great reviews! The bathroom facilities, amenities, and other services were as impressive as others mentioned—truly top-notch. The towel drying pipe was something you don't often see elsewhere. The location is excellent; just cross the main road to reach Kugenuma Beach, where you can enjoy stunning sunsets and views of Mt. Fuji on clear days (though I regret being slightly late for the sunset). From a unique perspective, even though the room wasn't particularly spacious in terms of area, it was cleverly designed to feel more open—very impressive! There’s really nothing to complain about here. However, I chose a room on the third floor because of its lower accommodation fee but found that the view of the beach felt somewhat lacking due to its height. In hindsight, I should have splurged for a fourth-floor room instead!

    The bathroom had an unpleasant smell.

    This was my second stay. I was looking forward to the bath and in-room dining. When I entered the Room, I noticed a strong chlorine-like smell but decided to stay and used the bath. The steam seemed to intensify the chlorine odor, making me feel unwell, and I had to crawl out of the bath. I experienced headaches and nausea, so I called to cancel dinner. A staff member kindly came to my Room with tools to open the windows for ventilation. They prepared another Room for me, which was comfortable; however, I still felt unwell and could only rest. It was very disappointing as I had been looking forward to this stay. The staff who assisted me the next day apologized for the smell but did not explain its cause, leaving me worried about what might have caused my symptoms.

    Beyond Reviews.

    I chose this hotel for the first time based on reviews to visit Enoshima Shrine. The convenience of the room, the comfort of the bed, the view, the quality of meals, and the abundance of amenities were all excellent. Above all, what made my stay truly wonderful was the staff's polite language and attentive service. I often travel solo to the Kanto area and have stayed at various resort hotels and luxury accommodations, but I even felt that I would like to make this hotel my regular choice.

    I was surprised.

    It has been 10 years since its opening, and I was amazed to discover such a wonderful Hotel in Shonan that has overcome the challenges of the pandemic. The hospitality is genuine, the amenities are excellent, the bath is great, and even electric blankets are provided—this Hotel will absolutely not disappoint. My wife of 32 years also said, "This Hotel is amazing!" Despite the unfortunate cold wave, it was only a 5-minute walk to the beach where surfers were enjoying themselves while we admired Mount Fuji. The location is also excellent.

    I will definitely stay here again.

    It was an incredibly comfortable and amazing Hotel. The amenities included luxurious cosmetics to choose from, a welcome drink, a coffee machine, DVD player, and BOSE speakers in the Room. The bathroom was fully equipped with bath amenities, a mist sauna, and a jacuzzi separate from the shower. One night felt too short, so next time I plan to stay for two nights. Thank you for providing transportation to the station upon departure. I will definitely come back again!

    I had a very relaxing time.

    A spontaneous solo trip to Kamakura. I wanted to visit Enoshima Shrine and enjoy the ocean, so I was looking for a hotel around Enoshima. I decided on this hotel immediately because it was very reasonably priced yet had excellent reviews. The hotel was small but impeccably clean, and the bath facilities were amazing with nano-bubbles, mist, and even a jacuzzi. The attention to detail in the bath area is outstanding. I usually bring my own bath additives, but they provided bath salts as part of their amenities. There were also many other amenities available, which made me very happy. Thank you for including Diamond Member benefits as well! Additionally, they kindly accommodated shuttle service requests with great hospitality that exceeded even 5-star hotels. It was so comfortable that I ended up staying inside from check-in to check-out without stepping outside at all. In-room dining allowed me to order at my own pace, which was convenient. Next time, I’d love to stay in a room with an ocean view and enjoy the scenery outside as well. Thank you very much!

    Excellent!

    Upon arrival at the nearest station, we contacted the accommodation and were promptly picked up in a small car. After check-in, we were provided with shuttle service to Enoshima mainland and later dropped off at the Enoshima Aquarium after check-out, which was incredibly helpful! We received a welcome drink, a set of branded amenities including shampoo for each person, and one bath salt for two people. The amenities provided in the room were also excellent; it was my first time seeing compression socks available. The meals were delicious, and having both breakfast and dinner served in our room made everything very convenient. The bathroom in our room was spacious with a jacuzzi, allowing us to relax using the provided amenities and bath salts. All staff members were young, creating a pleasant atmosphere with their polite and attentive service. Overall, I think this is a perfect accommodation! Honestly, I felt more satisfied here than at another major group hotel we stayed at the next day that cost twice as much. If I visit the Enoshima area again, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff!

    Honeymoon

    We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. While searching for a special place in a memorable location for the two of us, we found BREATH HOTEL and booked the Premium Suite Room. Before our stay, we exchanged emails with the staff, and their kind responses were greatly appreciated. On the day of our arrival, we first checked our reservation at the front desk. Then, we got to choose from a wide variety of amenities, which was surprising! For meals, there were several options to choose from as well, making us look forward to mealtime even more. When we opened the door to our room, all I could say was "amazing." Personally, I tend to be a bit particular about cleanliness, but everything—from the bathroom and floors to tables—was spotless. We chose a plan that included dinner and breakfast; both were absolutely incredible. Honestly, "amazing" is all I can say (laughs). This was such a wonderful hotel that I would love to stay here again someday. Thank you so much!

    Toaster...

    I have stayed here several times. Previously, when I chose the Western-style breakfast, a toaster was provided so I could enjoy warm bread at my own timing, which was a treat for someone who doesn't usually eat bread. However, this time there was no toaster. When I asked the staff, they mentioned that it had been replaced with breads like Danish pastries that don't require a toaster. A bit disappointing... (so minus 1 star). That said, the Shuttle Service to the station and late check-out allowing for a relaxed stay make this Hotel highly satisfying overall. It's a great place to bring your favorite DVDs or Blu-rays and enjoy some leisurely downtime away from everyday life.

    The variety of amenities, the free Shuttle Service, and the hospitality were very attentive, providing excellent service. However, there was one disappointment: upon arrival, I checked the bathroom and found a long strand of hair on the edge of the bathtub.

    Kind and courteous

    I stayed here again after several years, and to conclude, I was extremely satisfied this time as well. Above all, the hospitality is outstanding. During my stay, I interacted with about 5-6 staff members, and everyone was kind and attentive, allowing me to have a very comfortable experience. I even felt inspired to use their service as a reference for my own customer service or when teaching others about it. The concept of "providing a quiet and relaxing stay for adult guests above all else; therefore, we kindly ask that only guests aged 16 or older (high school age or above) use our Hotel. We also request that infants not accompany guests during their stay" is wonderful and allowed me to escape from the hustle and bustle. Recently, whether on business trips or private vacations, I've often been disappointed by encountering poorly mannered families with children despite spending money and time on these trips. This time, however, I had an enjoyable stay that made me glad I came back after so long. The warm welcome upon returning late at night due to work running over was also much appreciated. Thank you very much. I look forward to visiting again!
