  Wonderful hospitality!

  The Room overlooking the garden was very comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hinoki bath. From the bathrobes and pajamas to the amenities and even the high-quality matcha in the lounge, attention to detail was evident throughout. The meals were excellent, and I was especially impressed by the seasonal domyoji-mushi. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

  Highly Satisfied

  As a small accommodation, freshly prepared meals can be enjoyed, which is very nice. Amenities are also well-balanced and sufficient.

  Absolutely 5 stars!!!

  Stayed in March and still reminiscing about the experience. This is an exceptional accommodation with impeccable service—truly No.1 among all the places I’ve stayed! Each dish was incredibly delicious, even bringing tears to my eyes. The staff were calm, professional, and attentive. The room was extremely comfortable with abundant amenities, and the bath had a lovely hinoki (cypress) scent. Not only was the room amazing, but the lounge was so cozy that what started as a quick visit turned into an hour-long stay. The lounge featured plush chairs, a wide variety of tea bags, Othello games, and even matcha you could prepare yourself. A notebook in the lounge contained messages from guests in various languages—it seems international visitors also thoroughly enjoyed their stay here. This is an outstanding accommodation I can confidently recommend to anyone. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Kyoto!

  It is a small proper...

  It is a small property, but the room size is sufficient. The other guests were mostly foreigners. The meals did not include any high-end ingredients, but they were quite delicious. The staff at the dining area was reserved; it might have been nice if they engaged in conversation a bit more.

  Great experience sta...

  Great experience staying. Reception ladies are very nice and helpful. Room and common areas are neat and cozy. Food is well done.
