Considering the pric...
Considering the price, the property felt older than I had imagined, which was disappointing. Because it was introduced by IKYU, I had expected a nicer Hotel.

A 4-night, 5-day trip to Miyakojima that refreshed both mind and body
We made a Reservation for five nights and, after staying four nights, spent the day relaxing until our evening return flight. We swam at our leisure in the private pool and took naps on the terrace daybed. We also enjoyed unwinding freely in the cozy living room and bedroom. We were captivated by the breathtaking views from the Ingyamarine Garden Observatory right in front of us, then took a walk around the entire marine garden. We snorkeled at Ingyā Beach within walking distance, and lunch at the highly rated Bistro Tajima was delicious—we ended up getting plenty of takeout as well. Breakfast was different each day, very tasty, and wonderfully satisfying. Even when my companion left early in the morning for fun diving, I could relax at the villa. There are many places nearby within walking distance, so we enjoyed lots of discoveries and experiences. On our last day, we ended up enjoying tropical fish spotting at the beach with my companion until the very last minute. I’m truly sorry that I couldn’t gather all used items such as bath towels into one place for laundry. This Miyakojima trip was something I had been looking forward to as a way to ease everyday work fatigue. The owner’s and staff’s smiles and gracious hospitality were even more soothing. I am also deeply moved and truly grateful regarding that matter with our Room. While already feeling “Miyakojima withdrawal,” we have already made a Reservation for our next Miyakojima trip as well, and my companion is really looking forward to it too. I almost want to keep it a secret—thank you from the bottom of my heart to Private Pool Villa Imugya Resort for offering so many ideal touches. Thank you very much.

We had a comfortable stay.
We were able to relax in the spacious Room, bedroom, bath, and washroom. Thank you. Not having a working TV actually helped us unwind, which was nice. We kept Amazon Prime’s ocean footage playing the whole time. The location right in front of the sea was also great.

Disappointing.
I chose this accommodation with confidence because it was listed on IKYU.com. However, upon arrival, I was extremely disappointed... The exterior and interior of the building were completely different from the photos on the site. I felt deceived by overly flattering photos. The service lacked hospitality and warmth; there was no sense of genuine care. Honestly, I was so disappointed that I wanted to change hotels. Even the cleaning during my stay was very inadequate. I do not recommend this hotel.

The gap was so signi...
The gap was so significant that I felt compelled to write a review on this site for the first time. On other sites and Google, there were many negative reviews, which made me anxious when making the reservation. Indeed, there were minor inconveniences like the parking being a bit hard to find upon arrival, but the cleanliness and luxury of the room, as well as the excellent access to the beach right in front of us, were outstanding. Additionally, although I only had breakfast once during my stay, both its portion size and taste were exceptional. As others have mentioned in their reviews, it feels more like a villa with limited full-service options and seems better suited for couples rather than families.

Pool Villa Just 1 Minute from Beach Access
Until now, we’ve mainly enjoyed diving on Okinawa’s main island, using places like the Hyatt in Seragaki and the Hilton at American Village as our base. This time, we visited Miyakojima for the first time and stayed at three Hotels: one in Irabu and two in Miyako. Imugya Resort is located on the corner of a T-junction in front of the beach. The restaurant on the left at the entrance serves as reception. The parking area is beside the building facing the seaside road. We stayed at Imugya Resort for our last two nights, and overall it delivered outstanding satisfaction. Located at the southernmost tip of Miyakojima, it offers a quiet setting about 30 minutes by car from central Miyakojima. What people look for in a Hotel varies, but Imugya Resort keeps staff interaction to a minimum, and you won’t hear any surrounding noise or voices. It feels closer to a European vacation villa—perfect for enjoying your own private time. At present, only a delicious homemade breakfast is provided. With its location, views from the Room, furnishings, amenities, spacious Rooms, cleanliness, and excellent breakfast, Imugya Resort is highly recommended for anyone seeking slow-paced time away from interruptions. It’s especially ideal for couples. If you prefer attentive 24/7 service and support, a Hotel like Hilton may be more comfortable. We were able to truly unwind—losing track of time while taking in “Miyako Blue” from the large living area across our private pool.
