The highest standard in every aspect.
I stayed for one night on March 29. I chose March because it was just before the spiny lobster fishing ban. This time I booked a luxurious spa Plan, so it was pricey, but it was absolutely worth the cost. The cuisine, spa, Onsen, Room Facilities, and service were all top-tier. As expected from HIRAMATSU, every dish was delicious. The dish made with the spiny lobster head felt a bit heavy for me, but everything else was perfect. The spiny lobster bisque at breakfast was outstanding. The bread and butter at both dinner and breakfast were also excellent. The spa was wonderful—comparable to the Mandarin Hotel’s spa. The Onsen and Room Facilities were also superb; there is nothing to complain about. Service from the manager, head chef, staff, and spa team was flawless. I’d like to return next year during abalone season. I recommend avoiding weekends at the end of March. That’s when F1 Japanese Grand Prix qualifying and the race are held at Suzuka, so Nagoya Station gets extremely crowded and nearby roads are heavily congested. On top of that, Ise Jingu Naiku Shrine was also packed due to a yokozuna dedication sumo event—but I consider it a good experience overall.

Second Stay
During our stay in September, we were so impressed by your wonderful hospitality that we made a Reservation right away. This time, with the season being different, we were able to relax with a fresh perspective. The cuisine was even more outstanding than before. From the presentation to the creativity, it was one delightful surprise after another. Even though the portions were generous, everything was so delicious that we kept eating with excitement. When each dish was served, the staff’s explanations and related stories were also excellent. For this course, breakfast included both Japanese and Western options, and when we asked to take home the bread we couldn’t finish from the Western breakfast, you kindly agreed without hesitation. When we looked after returning home, there were two of each item inside. It seems you also included bread for our daughter who had chosen the Japanese breakfast. With such thoughtful care in so many ways, this trip was once again a very satisfying one. Thank you very much. We have already made our next Reservation for summer as well.

I stayed with my wif...
I stayed with my wife and our 7-month-old baby. I was a bit worried that staying at an auberge with a child might be too much, but it turned out to be an unnecessary concern. The staff carefully confirmed details in advance and prepared everything for us, including the Shuttle Service, baby food, and bed guards, which made for an outstanding stay. The location is wonderful, and the views of Ago Bay from the lounge and our Room were breathtaking. You can fully enjoy a relaxing Hotel stay by unwinding in both the in-room bath and the private open-air bath. If the season is right, I recommend taking a dip in the open-air bath in your Room, then putting on the provided bathrobe and enjoying some fresh air on the terrace. (Please be mindful of temperature changes.) The meals were also excellent at both breakfast and dinner—truly what you would expect from Hiramatsu. Everything was superb: presentation, flavor, and polished service. Overall, it was exceptional—an Accommodation I would love to stay at again.

Excellent!
At first, we were torn between a Ryokan and this place, but we decided on this one because we trusted Hiramatsu's cuisine would be exceptional—and it truly was. The private open-air bath was delightful, the Room was stylish and innovative, and the food was absolutely delicious. Additionally, the hospitality of all the staff was simply outstanding. Honestly, I wanted to keep this place a secret, but it’s so amazing that it has become a destination I want to visit every year. Thank you so much!

Chef Imamura's work ...
Chef Imamura's work is excellent, and I think this is an accommodation I would like to stay at again. However, the private open-air bath downstairs is only accessible by stairs, so it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't take my elderly mother.

In addition to the meals, we enjoyed the luxury of tranquility.
Experiencing such tranquility is truly the ultimate luxury for modern individuals. The meals were exceptional, and both the private bath and open-air bath were excellent. On top of that, the serenity was remarkable. The attention to privacy was also outstanding. While it may come at a cost, it was a stay well worth it.

The First Hiramatsu
Thank you for your hospitality. It was my first time at Hiramatsu, and I was especially eager to visit the Hiramatsu in Kashikojima, so I was thrilled to fulfill this dream! From the moment we arrived, everything from the room, meals, and onsen was exceptional. The highlight was definitely the meals. The unique combinations of flavors and even familiar dishes were all of such high quality that I was constantly amazed! Starting off the year like this makes me feel like it will be hard to find a better taste anywhere else this year! Reservations are quite difficult to secure, but next time I plan to stay in a different building. Thank you very much!

Exceptional service and dining
For our first stay, we chose a villa with a private onsen. The onsen overlooking Ago Bay and the meticulously designed details of the accommodation provided a truly calming and relaxing experience. The meals, featuring ingredients such as Ise lobster, were refined and allowed us to fully enjoy the natural flavors, textures, and exquisite preparation methods. The clear and thoughtful explanations of each dish further enriched our dining experience. As for areas of improvement, having facilities like a gym or pool could make it more appealing for health-conscious guests to stay for several days. It was an exceptional stay at one of the finest hotels in the whole country, and we eagerly look forward to visiting again.

Everything, including the meals and the setup, was excellent.
Checked in a bit early after finishing golf. Welcomed with a drink and guided to the room. The room's bath was amazing. The refrigerator items were all free, which was surprising. The juice after the bath was delicious, and so was the chocolate in the room. Dinner courses were all excellent. Each dish came with detailed explanations about the ingredients and how to enjoy them, which made it even better. The chef also greeted us personally, which truly warmed our hearts. Breakfast was also very delicious, especially the tomato juice—it was outstanding! When I mentioned wanting it, they told me its price, so I decided to just enjoy it there instead. They kindly gave us a ride to Kashikojima Station on our way back. While experiences may vary from person to person, this accommodation felt more than worth its price. I would love to stay here again next time!

Retreat
It was a unique luxury experience, distinct from foreign luxury hotels. The Shuttle Service, meals, bed-making, and bathing all prioritized privacy with attentive service that ensured a stress-free stay. Thank you very much. My favorite moment was relaxing on the balcony chair, enjoying the full course of birdsong, the sea, and the forest. I look forward to visiting again.

Repeat
We first visited in February this year, and since my family enjoyed it so much, we decided to return for the first time. We arrived early and were able to enjoy the outdoor bath in the evening. Once again, we experienced exceptional hospitality, and they even remembered our previous visit, making the dinner drinks enjoyable once more. The ingredients and menu featured new and creative dishes that were all delicious and left us impressed. Thank you for changing up the variety of breakfast bread; your thoughtfulness was much appreciated. Enjoying other classic breakfast items is also something we look forward to each time. We are truly grateful to have found such a wonderful Hotel where my family and I can create cherished memories together.

A picture-perfect example of small luxury.
This was my first visit. Due to the small number of Rooms, I hardly encountered other guests. The peaceful atmosphere was pleasant, and I spent the nights listening to my favorite music. The sightseeing taxi driver praised the staff at HIRAMATSU and Shima Kanko Hotel for their wonderful personalities. We completely agreed and enjoyed chatting about a nearby famous luxury Hotel during our journey. It made me realize that higher prices don't always mean better quality! I now have another Hotel I want to visit again.

The First Hiramatsu Resort
Overall, it was a very lovely hotel, but there were some aspects that did not feel first-class. As mentioned in other reviews, the shuttle service staff remained silent throughout and did not proactively assist with luggage, which was a bit concerning. The open-air bath had a large spider resembling a tarantula. While I understand this is due to the natural surroundings, it was still slightly frightening. The wine pairing was unfortunately not very tasty; however, the cuisine itself was absolutely delicious and highly satisfying. Additionally, the room was incredibly clean with amenities from Mikimoto and Clayd that truly elevated the experience—it felt like staying at a luxury hotel. When I mentioned during conversation with staff that this trip was for my birthday, they decorated the room beautifully. It made me so happy—thank you! The spa experience was so relaxing that I wished I had stayed for two nights instead of one. However, during dinner (in the evening), I noticed staff engaging in private conversations and laughter. Moreover, my own conversation seemed to be overheard as someone commented "That's amazing!" which left me feeling uneasy while dining. When I shared that I'm studying wine, they kindly offered me two small glasses for comparison instead of one full glass. This thoughtful gesture stood out positively but made other moments feel more disappointing by contrast. Since voices carry into dining areas quite clearly here, it might be worth addressing this issue moving forward. It pains me to mention it but felt necessary to note. If not for these points, this would truly be an exceptional accommodation!

It was great to visit Hiramatsu again after a long time.
Visited after several years. There are many good properties in Kashikojima, and I've been to various ones, but returning here made me appreciate the excellence of Hiramatsu once again. Some nearby properties have seen an increase in staff who don't speak much Japanese, leading to a decline in service quality, which was disappointing. However, I was surprised by the improvement in service quality here. The quality of the meals was excellent, and the bath was comfortable; everything was great. It felt rare for a property like this to offer room service, but it's nice to have delicious snacks when drinking alcohol in your room after dinner. The meals could be adjusted according to each person's appetite size, which was appreciated. I also experienced slight discomfort upon waking up one morning and requested a later breakfast time; they kindly accommodated my request with great consideration, which made me very happy. I apologize for any inconvenience caused at that time. I plan to revisit when I visit Ise Jingu Shrine again. Thank you very much.

Excellent hospitality
We stayed at the property to celebrate my mother's birthday. The room had a bath with sinks on both sides, making it very convenient, and enjoying bath time while watching the sunset from the window was fantastic! The meals were exciting from the explanation of ingredients on a wagon, and each dish was very delicious. The sparkling sake recommended by the sommelier was perfect as an aperitif. My mother was delighted with a birthday message plate for dessert and surprise decorations when we returned to our room! The private open-air bath was also gorgeous, offering healing views of the best scenery. Although my mother got pricked by a thorn on the handrail, they responded immediately, which we greatly appreciated for their attentiveness. We felt well taken care of and are sure to return to this hotel! I am already recommending it to friends and family!

Thank you very much for a wonderful time.
Since my previous stay at HIRAMATSU Auberge Sakurai was excellent, I decided to visit HIRAMATSU Kashikojima on my way back from visiting Ise. The room was spacious, and the view of Ago Bay from the window was beautiful, making it a comfortable place in every aspect. The private bath was also very large, with all amenities provided, leaving nothing inconvenient. The meals made with local ingredients were crafted with care in each dish and were very delicious. Paintings by Kaii Higashiyama, Yayoi Kusama, and Matisse were simply displayed and left a strong impression on me. During the meal, I was impressed by the wonderful tableware and learned that they were works by an Iga ware artist. Later on, I found out that the vases at reception were also made by this artist and they were all remarkable pieces. The staff provided service at just the right distance which was very pleasant. It made me want to visit other HIRAMATSU properties as well.

Hotel I want to stay at again
It was a Hotel I had wanted to stay at for a long time, and I was able to make a Reservation at the end of the year and stayed with my daughter. Both the spa and meals were excellent, and although I wondered if I could eat the amount of food, the seasoning was perfect, and I finished everything deliciously. The attentiveness of the staff was also great, and we had a satisfying time.

Top-class cuisine and hospitality
It was a hotel I had wanted to stay at for a long time, and it was as wonderful as the reviews said. The food was especially excellent. The service from welcome to farewell was also superb, and I didn't encounter other guests during my stay (was it arranged that way?). I had reserved a private open-air bath from 3:30 PM, but it was cold on the way from the main building (even though they provided something like a shawl), and the wind came in from below in the washing area, so I couldn't wash my body slowly. I had also reserved it for the morning but canceled and used the room's bath, which was of high-quality design and very pleasant. The room was of adequate size, with a good view, and was designed with high-quality materials down to the walls and ceiling, allowing for a restful sleep. Dinner was as the reviews said, with sauces and other elements crafted to bring out the quality of the ingredients, making it truly excellent cuisine. Breakfast was not only lobster soup and eggs benedict but even the salad was elaborate, and there was a wide variety of delicious bread. I have stayed at most of the luxury hotels in Toba and Shima (there may be some I don't know yet), but HIRAMATSU was a wonderful hotel that left me with a sense of satisfaction. I would like to visit again around summer.

It was the best birthday trip ever!
I often come to stay at Kashikojima because I love it, and I was curious about Hiramatsu, so my husband brought me here for my birthday trip. Everything was perfect, from the room amenities, the view from the balcony, to the meals. I also used the spa, and the staff was very attentive, allowing me to refresh both body and mind. We also used the private Onsen, which was much larger than I imagined and had a great view. Every detail was well-considered, and I was truly satisfied with the hospitality, service, Onsen quality, and meals. Thank you for preparing a surprise for us. I hope to stay for two nights next time.

A property I always wanted to visit.
It is a luxury Stays where you can enjoy with children, but considering the luxurious bath, delicious meals, and the excellence of the drink service, it felt like a great deal. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the amenities were a bit difficult to access, but everything else was wonderful.

I am a fan of Hiramatsu.
We were very satisfied with both the food and the service. We enjoyed the local cuisine of Kashikojima. The young staff provided polite and attentive support, and both the Shuttle Service and meals were very pleasant.

Dinner
It feels like there's too much emphasis on the sauce. The amount of meat is small, and I would prefer something simple that brings out the ingredients, as the saltiness is too strong. Companion's opinion: 1. Course with special sauce 2. Simple course It would be nice if we could choose.
