    I stayed to celebrat...

    I stayed to celebrate my birthday. Although I was traveling solo, I had the strong impression that the staff were looking out for me, which I really appreciated. To be honest, the building itself didn’t feel particularly new, but I could tell the Room had been renovated, and it felt like each amenity had been thoughtfully reviewed as well. The meals offered great variety. There were plenty of vegetables, everything felt nutritious, and I was very satisfied. The portions weren’t too large either, so I was able to finish everything. Dinner happened to be around sunset time, and when someone kindly said, “It’s just about sunset,” it helped me enjoy a truly relaxing evening. The Onsen was spacious, and details like a ReFa shower head made it clear that care has been taken down to the smallest touches. Since it was summer Onsen season there were fewer guests, which actually made it even more comfortable and relaxing. There were lots of hand-drawn illustrations in the meal information and guidance materials as well, which added warmth and helped me spend a wonderfully restful time.

    Staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary

    In contrast to the exterior, the Room was very clean and pleasant. The dinner and breakfast portions were not too much—just the right amount. The tableware was also unique, which made the meals even more enjoyable.

    I was able to show my appreciation to my parents.

    I stayed for the first time in a Room with an open-air bath with my elderly mother. After arriving, we enjoyed welcome sweets, and the experience began on an elegant note. The dinner menu was very cute, we could choose our chopsticks, and each time a dish was served, we were impressed by both the beautiful tableware and the cuisine. Every dish was delicious. We were able to dine quietly and at a relaxed pace. Dining while watching the sunset felt truly elegant. For breakfast, the croissants were especially delicious. Both the open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath were wonderfully soothing, and my mother was very happy as well. I also used the massage chair twice. Thank you for carrying our luggage to our car when we left. It’s an Accommodation I would love to stay at again! Thank you for such a blissful time.

    The meals, hospitality, and cleanliness of the Room were all excellent.

    The Room has been renovated and felt very clean, and the quality and quantity of the meals were excellent. However, the Onsen facilities feel outdated, and one of the baths had an outdoor bath that was not available, which was disappointing given how nice the Onsen is. Also, I have a cat allergy, so I would appreciate it if cats could be kept out of the main building. I couldn’t stop sneezing... I’d like to visit again.

    Warm your heart and soul...

    I made a reservation for our anniversary with my boyfriend. Although there was an error on my part during the reservation process, thank you for kindly accommodating our request even though it was originally online-only. On the day of our stay, the onsen facility was out of order, but we were able to use a large onsen at a sister accommodation, and shuttle service was provided to the nearby facility. The meals were delicious with great presentation, service, and portions. After warming up in the onsen, they added even more warmth to create wonderful memories. The ryokan's exterior has a retro feel, but the interior is clean with no odors or noise disturbances from outside. At checkout time, I noticed another family saying they would definitely return again. I also want to bring my mother here next time!

    The cuisine is exceptional!

    Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the handwritten guide was charming and enjoyable to read! This trip was a birthday gift for my parents, and I’m glad we chose this accommodation. My parents loved it so much that they said they want to come back again! Thank you very much. The facility is old but very well-maintained and clean. However, having only one key was inconvenient when going to the bath. Also, it would be helpful if tissues were placed in both the bathroom and the room.

    Belated Birthday Celebration

    It was my birthday in early October, but I couldn't go as planned due to scheduling conflicts. I was drawn to the name "Hime Accommodation Hanakazashi" and decided to visit alone. In the room, there was a birthday plate, celebratory words on the dinner menu, and a commemorative photo. All of these made me very happy. The presentation of the meals was elegant, and the tableware was beautiful. Of course, both breakfast and dinner were delicious. I especially enjoyed the medicinal soup; it warmed my body. The dishes alternated between cold and warm items. As I age, I find myself eating less quantity-wise, but even with smaller portions, I felt full while also enjoying everything visually. At dinner, I could choose chopsticks to take home with me—a thoughtful gesture that made me happy. I'll use them for meals or packed lunches at home. Every aspect of their hospitality left a lasting impression on me. Thank you very much!

    Recently, my mother,...

    Recently, my mother, who had been battling illness, passed away. To honor her memory as she loved Onsen, I visited Hanakazashi with friends of several decades. Although it was a familiar Onsen area that I had visited many times before, this was my first time staying at this accommodation. The building itself is old despite being renovated, and the lobby, lounge, and hallways also show signs of age. However, the staff's hospitality was excellent. Especially during dinner when we mentioned that this trip was to honor my mother’s memory; the server kindly prepared a meal set including rice, dessert, and chopsticks for my late mother along with an encouraging message. It brought tears to my eyes. In all my travels so far, I have never experienced such kindness before and have become a big fan of Hanakazashi because of it. Lastly, I will never forget how delicious the dinner was. I definitely want to visit again!

    It was my first visit.

    The staff were very kind and even helped carry our luggage upon arrival, which was great. However, there were many stairs, and the bath had floating debris like wood chips or hair. Some parts of the Facility creaked due to its age. The Room was stylish and clean, but some areas of the floor felt unstable. The elevator had a slight musty smell. The welcome drink and snacks were thoughtfully prepared. The food was absolutely delicious! It was also a nice touch to be able to take home the chopsticks used during the meal as a keepsake. It would be better if there were more slopes for easier access. There were both open-air baths and ones without; ideally, having both options would be preferable. While I appreciated the kindness of the staff and how amazing the food was, considering issues with the bath and Facility makes it harder for me to want to return, which is quite disappointing.

    Meal Rating: Over 5 stars! (´艸｀)

    The meals were incredibly delicious, beautifully presented, and sparkling with care, truly captivating. The menu and ingredient booklet featured warm, hand-drawn illustrations by the staff, making it a joy to read while dining. The room offered a stunning ocean view! On a moonlit night, it must be incredibly romantic. Although I didn’t have high expectations due to the rural and old Onsen area, I was pleasantly surprised in the best way possible. However, I thought that if the decorations in the lobby were reduced for a more modern and sleek look, it could create a stylish retro Ryokan vibe. I definitely want to visit again! The meals deserve more than five stars—I’d add several more if I could!

    Room with Open-Air Bath

    The room had an open-air bath, and while the sea view was visible from the room, it couldn't be seen from the bath, which was a bit disappointing. The staff at the accommodation were very calm and welcoming, allowing us to have a relaxing and pleasant stay. The handwritten menu for the meals was wonderful, and they kindly accommodated my husband's shellfish allergy.

    The room was clean, but...

    Overall, it didn't quite meet expectations (smile). The meals were served in small portions with a variety of dishes, which seemed thoughtfully designed for women to enjoy. The meal descriptions were enjoyable! In the morning, there was a coffee machine available, so I didn’t have to go to the tea room in the lobby—which was nice—but unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t very good. It was inconvenient that we had to bring towels from our Room for the bath. It would have been better if bath towels were freely available in the bathroom (this was my first time having to bring bath towels from my Room). Please note that there is only one open-air bath on one side (evening women's bath), and when it switched baths the next day, it felt closed off—huh? You can choose your yukata; however, there aren’t many options. I recommend selecting a size larger than indicated on the size card. My friend found hers too short while mine didn’t overlap enough at the front (we both have average builds), making it uncomfortable (laughs). We checked in after 4 PM and found some areas like hallways dimly lit—though they became brighter during dinner time later on. The smell inside the elevator bothered me as well. The Room itself was clean but felt like it took a while for air conditioning to cool properly. Personally speaking, based on my own expectations from its name alone, I had hoped for fresh flowers instead of artificial ones—it was disappointing not seeing real flowers around!

    Ryokan with Delicious Cuisine

    This was my second stay, and just like the first time, the accommodation was impeccably clean, and the bath was spotless, making it very comfortable. The dinner I had been looking forward to was beautifully presented and delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. The meals here are truly something I want to come back for; I absolutely love them. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Cat Welcome

    "I almost said 'I'm home' upon arrival. Despite the sudden reservation, from check-in to check-out, the heartwarming hospitality made for a truly comforting stay. The open-air bath and two large communal baths were a luxurious private experience multiple times. Just like the carefully prepared Wagyu beef, the detailed illustrated leaflets (Accommodation guide, dinner menu, breakfast menu) tailored to each guest are surely something everyone would want to take home. Once again, I enjoyed Chef H's artistic cuisine while watching the sunset over Mikawa Bay. Hearing the woman next to me exclaim 'Delicious!' with every dish made me feel proud as if I could say 'I know, right.' I look forward to visiting again."

    An Accommodation with a Heart of Hospitality

    I visited in 2025GW. From the moment I parked my car to the time I departed, I felt a warm sense of hospitality. The ocean view from the dining area and the interior design were impressive. The tableware was delightful, and the food was delicious. A very calm local cat was relaxing on a chair and allowed me to pet it without any hesitation.

    Delicious meals!

    Meals are served at the dining area on tables, not as a buffet. The space is very spacious. The meals are not ordinary but carefully crafted kaiseki cuisine, and they were absolutely delicious. The illustrations on the table menus are incredibly cute, reportedly drawn by the staff members themselves. The Facility is somewhat old, so the bath was a bit underwhelming; one side did not have an open-air bath. Additionally, with Ginpaso right in front of it, you can see its backside, which might be less appealing to some. However, being able to hold local cats made for an enjoyable experience!

    As a women-first accommodation, dinner features creative Japanese course cuisine that is visually stunning. Guests can leisurely enjoy their meal while watching the sunset over Mikawa Bay.

    The meals were delicious, but...

    The ambiance of the background music in the facility was lovely, and the welcome drink and sweets were charming and very soothing. The meals, especially dinner, were delicious. However, during dinner, the next dish was served before finishing the main course, followed by another dish, resulting in three dishes on the table at one point. Additionally, we were instructed to eat a later-served dish first instead of following the menu order. This made us feel rushed towards the end of our meal. It was disappointing as the food was otherwise excellent. Breakfast offered a well-balanced selection of Japanese and Western dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to visit again but hope for a more relaxed dining experience during dinner next time!

    It was delicious.

    The building has many old parts that gave a Showa-era vibe, but we enjoyed it as part of the experience. Above all, the meals were excellent! We were able to enjoy a variety of dishes in small portions, with many featuring the flavors of fish, which was very satisfying. Our Room had an open-air bath.     Delicious Meals and Lovely Rooms

    The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were very delicious. The Room was newly renovated, clean, beautiful, and comfortable to stay in. The wide variety of teas and freshly brewed coffee from beans were also delightful; I enjoyed several cups. However, the decorations or displays in the front lobby and hallways felt outdated and lacked taste, which was a bit disappointing. I believe that keeping it simple without unnecessary decorations could enhance the overall quality significantly.

    I had a relaxing time.

    I stayed with my elderly mother. The staff kindly helped with our luggage from the car drop-off and guided us warmly. Although the building and lobby showed their age, the room, meals, and service were excellent. In an era where new accommodations are constantly being built, I felt their efforts to maintain quality. My mother was very pleased, and it turned out to be a delightful trip. Thank you for your great hospitality!

    New Year's for a family of five

    We stayed on 1/3.4. The elderly couple with bad legs used the bed, while the younger ones slept on the tatami. It was a very spacious room with a large window, providing a great sense of openness, and we were truly satisfied with the room. The sea was right in front of us, and we could see both the sunrise and sunset. We had dinner and breakfast, and the hospitality was exciting. The creative dishes, which we had never tasted before, were extremely delicious. We definitely want to visit again. It was a Property that satisfied three generations of our family!

    A healing Stays with a perfect combination of scenery, Facility, and cuisine.

    Stayed from Tokyo while visiting the family grave. The location offers an excellent view of Mikawa Bay. Fortunately, we were blessed with good weather and caught the sunrise and sunset. The room, renovated, is clean and pleasant. The food is creatively prepared and delicious. Below are some points I noticed. Indoor slippers should be disposable instead of zori (concern about athlete's foot infection). Amenities are somewhat lacking. I would like a detailed instruction manual for operating the open-air bath in the room (requested assistance from the front desk for temperature adjustment, water supply, and drainage). The Western-style flavor of the food is not quite right (how about unifying it to Japanese style?). The morning miso soup is not hot and lacks volume. For breakfast, how about placing a small bowl of rice on the table to make it easier to get refills? (At a previous property, freshly cooked rice was served in small bowls). Thank you for your continued service.

    Healing Journey

    With the hope of our eldest child, who is too sensitive and often tired, wanting to go on a "healing trip," we referred to the reviews and stayed as a family of three. It was just the child's birthday month, so we mentioned our desire to refresh and splurged more than usual to make the reservation. Starting with welcome sweets, we had a delightful service, including a commemorative photo of the three of us for the first time in a while! The birthday message card at dinner was lovely, and even the menu had detailed and cute comments that moved us! The hospitality and service exceeded our expectations, and we were able to spend quiet and relaxing time both in the room and the bath. Thank you very much. We are talking about wanting to go again next year.

    Women-First Stays

    There were so many types of yukata that I was unsure which one to wear. The Room was also clean and nice. However, it would be nice to have a large mirror in the Room, more towels in the washroom, and stylish shampoo, conditioner, and amenities. The meals, which I was most looking forward to, were wonderful and very delicious, both at night and in the morning, with creative dishes at the restaurant. I thought it was very cost-effective despite the reasonable price. Next time, I will go with my husband.
