The staff and service were excellent.
I have stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels, but this was such a wonderful Ryokan that I wanted to write a Review for the first time. The Shuttle Service staff, front desk staff, dining service staff, and kitchen staff were all courteous, kind, and attentive. The property was also impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. I would love to stay here again.

Satisfied…
The Room was clean, and the open-air bath was amazing. The food was also very delicious. However, we could hear voices from the neighboring Room, and I woke up in the middle of the night. That was the only thing that concerned me.

Glad there was a single-person accommodation plan.
This accommodation was found while searching for a place where solo travelers can stay. Although the room was designed for two people, it was possible to stay alone, and the view of the ocean from the room was excellent. The service was great, and I was satisfied with their hospitality. The welcome drink and the option to enjoy drinks even after check-out were nice touches, as well as being able to use a private bath without needing a reservation or additional fees. However, there were some concerns: - **Scent in the Facility** The scent in the elevator and room felt a bit strong. While this might not bother everyone, it would be nice if they used universally pleasant scents like mild soap fragrances. - **Meals** It seems that whether dinner is served as a Japanese set meal or buffet depends on the number of guests staying that day. Not knowing this until arrival felt inconvenient since I prefer planning my lunch based on what will be served for dinner. The Japanese set meal had flavors that were overall quite strong—even for someone like me who enjoys rich tastes—so those accustomed to lighter flavors might find it too intense. - **Facility Cleanliness** Perhaps due to seasonal factors (I stayed during early June), there were insects inside the facility... While they weren’t large insects, some guests might find them bothersome. I understand outdoor open-air baths naturally attract bugs; however, finding insects even in changing rooms concerned me. - **Footwear Policy** Guests are required to move around indoors wearing socks (indoor shoes or slippers are prohibited). Personally, I didn’t like this policy much because walking around in socks made them dirty quickly. Additionally—and this is personal—I have an issue with my foot that makes walking without proper footwear painful. If asked whether I would return again: unfortunately, my answer would be no.

Lowest level of customer satisfaction
This was my first time staying, but everything except the Room was at the lowest level. I can't believe they charge this much. This Ryokan is highly overrated. I will never go back again.

A property that welcomes solo travelers.
This time, I used this place to relax alone at the onsen. I stayed in a room on the 8th floor, but the ryokan along the coast was immediately in view, so it wasn't necessarily a "good view." However, I thought the room was "good enough for one person." I arrived and went to the "private open-air bath" relatively early, but the water temperature was so hot that I couldn't get into the bathtub. When I spoke to the front desk, they said something like "it will gradually become a good temperature." (There are many foreign staff, and sometimes there are misunderstandings.) When I entered after dinner, it was a bit lukewarm this time, and I couldn't stay in for long without feeling cold. I felt that adjusting the water temperature was an issue. The bathtub was very large and spacious. (It felt like I could be seen from the windows of the hotel along the coast.) The meals were a "half buffet" for dinner and a "buffet" for breakfast. The abalone at dinner was tender and delicious. There were many solo travelers, and considering that "solo travelers" may increase in the future, a property that welcomes solo travelers might be valuable. I think they are renovating an old ryokan, but the building seems to be quite worn out. I thought it was a decent property for relaxing alone. The shuttle service from Izu-Inatori Station is also convenient. Also, although there are many foreign staff, everyone was kind.

There is no large public bath.
Overall, it feels old. It has been renovated, but there was an old smell. The large public bath is in the building across the street. I wanted to enter before going to bed, but it felt like a hassle. I heard there is a private bath on the 7th floor, and you can use it if it's available without a reservation, but it would be disappointing to go all the way there and find it occupied. Fortunately, there were few guests, so I could relax alone, which was nice. It probably won't be the same during busy periods. Also, there were no slippers, so you have to walk in socks, which I didn't prefer. The meals had almost too many dishes. The delicious fish was a plus.
