You can enjoy a fun and comfortable stay.
This was our sixth stay, and every time we have enjoyed a fun and comfortable visit. All three private open-air (and semi-open-air) baths are available to use as often as you like. Both dinner and breakfast are generous in portion size, perfectly seasoned, and always leave us completely satisfied.

The food was the only good thing, though…
I stayed here once about 10 years ago. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in terms of portion size and taste. I also enjoyed the private bath. However, not only was the Facility outdated, but the entire building felt dusty, and I was also bothered by an unpleasant smell. The yukata provided did not seem to have been properly washed; it still had the previous guest’s odor, which made me feel sick, so I took it off right away. I’m not particularly sensitive to smells, but after being shown to my room, my skin started itching, which made me wonder if there were hygiene issues. Unfortunately, I probably won’t stay again.

A Relaxing Day
Everything was excellent, except that check-in overlapped with other guests and we had to wait a little for the bath. The staff kept a comfortable distance, and we had a very pleasant stay. The food was carefully prepared and delicious—and having Kirin Lager made it even better! We’ll be back again.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay.
I stayed at this Accommodation over the weekend. The staff gave me a warm welcome and provided courteous guidance.<br> The atmosphere was wonderful, and it was the perfect space for me to relax. The meals were delicious, and the bath was excellent.<br> Thank you very much.

Thank you again for staying with us.
We stayed here with my 90-year-old father and three generations of our family. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and dinner on both nights. Spring in Azumino was wonderful. We would love to visit again.

The best accommodation for our family.
It is difficult to secure a reservation at Nishiya Villa, but it is the best accommodation for our family. The meals were very delicious. The bath was also excellent, especially the open-air bath, which we loved. We have already made a reservation for our next stay.

Hidden Gem Accommodation
A very charming and cozy hidden accommodation. The room had a terrace with a beautiful view of autumn leaves. The food was all delicious and truly impressive. The warm hospitality from the host and staff was memorable. This time, I stayed with my daughter, but I would love to return with my husband and daughter as a family of three in the future.

I had another very comfortable stay.
This time, I stayed in the "Imari" room and had a relaxing and comfortable experience. The dinner was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that showcased seasonal ingredients, each prepared with great care and creativity. The three private (open-air) baths, which were almost always available when needed, were also highly satisfying. This is an exceptional ryokan that I would like to visit as frequently as possible in the future.

It was thought-provoking in a positive way.
At the end of August, I stayed for one night. When I arrived at the parking lot and carried my luggage through the entrance, no one came out to greet me. After ringing the bell at the counter, an elderly gentleman appeared, and I completed check-in while enjoying some tea. The staff who guided me were dressed casually and did not assist with carrying luggage. It gradually became clear that this accommodation lacks the formality or grandeur often associated with high-end ryokans. It felt more like visiting a friend's home—a unique sense of comfort. The usual concerns about manners or timing for serving meals seemed trivial here, making me realize how deep hospitality can be. The food was delicious, especially the grilled salt-seasoned char fish—it was exceptional! There are three private baths available for just five rooms, so there was always one open when needed. As a smoker, I appreciated having smoking areas on the terrace deck and in front of the hallway as well. If I had to mention one downside: having breakfast at 8 AM with a 10 AM checkout felt a bit rushed.

I had a relaxing time.
You can enjoy a relaxing time and fully savor the meals. However, as it is designed in a traditional Japanese house style, there are many steps. The bath is available 24 hours but is quite deep. I would love to visit again in a different season.

Kaiseki Cuisine and Garden
Dinner is a kaiseki meal, and every dish from the appetizer to the final dessert was delicious, with the fillet steak grilled on the irori being exceptionally tasty. The garden reflects the owner's excellent taste, with wildflowers quietly blooming in the shade perfectly complementing the accommodation. One slightly disappointing aspect was being surprised by insects appearing in the room.
