    A wonderful Accommodation and warm hospitality that remain unchanged even after seven years

    I have wonderful memories of the Accommodation’s atmosphere and hospitality from my first stay, and this time I returned for the first time in seven years. I heard that during the COVID period you improved the parking area and the path to the Accommodation, and it was even easier to access than before. The atmosphere is still just as lovely, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I especially recommend the spiny lobster sashimi and the simmered golden eye snapper. This time, I also asked in advance for a birthday surprise for my friend, and you kindly accommodated my request. My friend was truly delighted, and I’m so glad I asked. Thank you very much for your pleasant hospitality and service. Above all, one of Hana Noren’s greatest charms is Toi Onsen, which helped melt away my everyday fatigue. At night I enjoyed the bath in my Room, and in the morning I woke up early to use the private bath. I truly love this time spent forgetting daily noise—the sound of flowing Onsen water and birdsong brought exceptional comfort. Thank you again for another wonderful stay. I was completely satisfied with everything. Next time, I hope to return again sooner. Thank you very much!

    A wonderful accommodation.

    This was our second stay, and it was truly wonderful again. The service was excellent, and everything—from the open-air bath to the meals—was perfect. We would love to return again next year.

    Your First Trip to West Izu

    We decided at the last minute to stay overnight in Nishi-Izu to celebrate a birthday, and after making a Reservation at Hana Noren based on the highly rated meals and reviews, it turned out to be a wonderful Ryokan—an absolute success! It was our first time in Toi Onsen, and we’ve come to love both Toi Onsen and Hana Noren. We were traveling from far away and weren’t familiar with the area, so we called to let them know we would arrive late. We truly appreciated their warm and kind response. Our navigation led us through the route that passes under the torii gate of Toi Shrine, but the road was quite narrow. Apparently, turning left before the torii gate is the correct way. We visited Toi Shrine again the next morning. It’s a historic shrine, and the giant camphor tree is a must-see. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and we also loved our Room’s interior—it suited our taste perfectly. Although it was just a short one-night stay, we were able to relax deeply and were completely satisfied. Thank you very much for everything. We’d love to visit again when we have another chance.

    Memories of Toi Onsen

    We stayed for one night as a couple. As the Accommodation’s comment mentioned, the access road to the entrance was narrow, but if you follow the guidance signs, you’ll be fine, and the parking lot is spacious and reassuring. The Room had a calm design using wood, and the open-air bath was large enough for four people. We also used the private open-air bath, and it was wonderful hot-spring water that warmed us through to the core. Flowers were arranged in the Room’s garden and throughout the property; although we couldn’t see outside from the first floor, it didn’t feel closed in. The meal was a kaiseki course featuring spiny lobster and abalone as the main dishes, and everything was very delicious and satisfying—especially memorable were how good the clear soup and tempura were. The Room amenities are well stocked, but it would be appreciated if cotton swabs were provided.

    Perfect for relaxation.

    The meals feature fish caught at Toda Port, so there is no tuna or meat, but every dish is refined. While there is no large public bath, there are two private open-air baths, making it enjoyable even without Onsen facilities. With a pH of 8.4 leaning towards alkaline, it offers skin-beautifying benefits. Though small in size, the accommodation is well-equipped and sufficient. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Toda Port, perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the sunset.

    The Onsen was set to a perfect temperature—not too hot—making it so comfortable that you could stay in for as long as you wanted. It was amazing. Additionally, the meals were served at just the right timing, with warm dishes prepared perfectly. It was fantastic!

    We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday. Both the private bath and the in-room bath were very relaxing, and the meals were satisfying in both content and quality. During the meal, we received a thoughtful celebration from the Ryokan staff, which made us very happy. We would love to stay here again.

    When visiting Toi, be sure to stop by Hananoren.

    We stayed here to celebrate my husband's birthday. From the moment we arrived at the accommodation until we left, we were deeply moved by the thoughtful attention to detail. As I was pregnant during this visit, I appreciated the consideration for my meals, kind words about my condition, and even care for our unborn baby. When I made a reservation for a birthday cake over the phone, they handled it very politely, allowing us to enjoy a worry-free celebration on the day. They also prepared a small gift which made my husband very happy. The meals were incredibly well-prepared with great attention to both presentation and taste—absolutely satisfying! We stayed in a room with an open-air bath attached, which allowed us to relax and soak away our travel fatigue at leisure. Thanks to that, I woke up feeling refreshed the next morning. The room was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities provided; having hand sanitizer available near the sink was especially appreciated. If we visit Toi again in the future, we would definitely love to stay here once more!

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip. As mentioned in the reviews, the room was very clean, and having a private open-air bath allowed us to enjoy multiple baths without worrying about time, which was wonderful. The meals were elaborate and delicious, and being able to enjoy them leisurely in the room made for a very enjoyable and happy experience. Additionally, thank you to both the staff member in charge of our room and the young proprietress for their kind and warm hospitality. Thanks to them, this trip became truly memorable. We would love to stay here again!

    I had a peaceful time.

    I stayed at this accommodation to enjoy a quiet time. The bath and dinner were excellent. Upon departure, everyone saw me off, leaving me with the feeling that "staying here was a great choice." However, one disappointing point was that while the introduction of the accommodation stated that the room's open-air bath was "natural hot spring flow," the staff mentioned it was "circulated." Which is true? It felt like my enjoyment was somewhat diminished because of this.

    We had a great time.

    This was our third visit to Toi, but our first time staying at this accommodation. While some reviews mention the location is not ideal, the relaxing onsen and delicious meals more than made up for it. We stayed in a room with an open-air bath and also enjoyed a private open-air bath before dinner and early the next morning. We would love to visit again during a different season. Oh, we also saw the 1,000-year-old tree at Toi Shrine that you recommended—it was truly impressive!

    It was the best day ever.

    We planned a trip for my mother's 60th birthday with my brother and chose this place in the Izu area after finding excellent reviews. The photos of the room, food, and atmosphere looked great, and we were drawn to the private open-air bath. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff were kind, and everything—the room, bath, and food—was clean and exceptional. We requested a surprise cake for my mother, which made her very happy. I was also touched when the young proprietress surprised me since my birthday is also in March. The red shiso juice was so delicious—I’d love to have it again. This was our first family trip with just the three of us. Thanks to everyone’s warm hospitality, it became a truly wonderful day. Thank you so much! Next time, I hope we can stay in a different room!

    Used for her birthday trip

    I used this accommodation for her birthday. Although it was two days of bad weather, the room with an open-air bath was perfect for a cozy stay. Additionally, I was very satisfied as they arranged the delivery of a gift in advance and prepared a surprise cake. Both dinner and breakfast were very hearty meals that left us completely satisfied. The fried Megisu fish at dinner was especially exquisite—I would love to have it again. Except during check-in, we didn’t encounter other guests at all. Overall, it was a relaxing stay.

    It was the best property.

    It was a highly satisfying Property. Limited to 5 groups, there are guest room open-air baths and two private baths. Meals were served in the Room for both breakfast and dinner, so we could spend our time without meeting other guests at all. The meals were plentiful and of exquisite quality, leaving us very satisfied. The baths, including the guest room open-air bath, as well as the private baths, were available 24 hours a day. In such Ryokan, there is usually a tea confectionery service after check-in; often it is a local specialty sweet. However, here they prepared handmade sweets which were also delicious. Other thoughtful touches could be seen throughout the stay which filled our hearts as well. It was a Property that I would definitely like to visit again next time.

    The meals, both dinn...

    The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very delicious. However, regarding the futon, when it was laid out for us, the duvet already had a cover on it when taken out from the closet. Even though we removed sheets in the morning before putting it away in the closet, the duvet cover remained as is. I was worried whether they were exchanged or not. Also, for men, it seemed that the futon was small. At checkout time, there was a person who seemed to be Okami standing in front of the front desk (saw her for the first time when leaving), but she didn't even greet us or say anything; I wondered why she was standing there. The person in charge of our Room was good.

    We used this place for our first trip after getting married. We were very pleased with the complimentary drinks provided during dinner. Each dish was delicious, and we felt that great care was taken with the ingredients. During our stay, we didn't encounter other guests, allowing us to relax and enjoy the Onsen. We would definitely like to visit again.

    The meals were delicious and it was a very clean inn.

    The dinner and breakfast were very delicious. I have one suggestion: the breakfast porridge was very tasty, but since I prefer white rice, I would have been very happy if you had asked which I preferred. I felt bad for leaving it since it was prepared for me. The room, bathroom, and toilet were all very clean, and it was the cleanest accommodation I've ever stayed in. The stairs to the second floor were a bit steep, which was a slight concern. But it was a very nice inn, thank you very much.
