    The staff are very kind!

We stayed in a pet-friendly Room this time. It was very clean with no pet odor, and the cleaning was thorough. The staff were especially kind. There seem to be many international staff members, but their Japanese is fluent as well. The food was excellent, and even my big-eater husband was completely satisfied. Everything felt refined down to the tableware, and every dish was truly top-class. However, it was disappointing that there wasn’t much variety of alcohol (wine and champagne). It’s also a shame that drinks during meals are charged separately. That said, drinks at the bar are free outside mealtimes, and we were also offered simple snacks like nuts. Another disappointment was that the refrigerator only had canned beer (only enough for the number of guests). Since we’re a couple who don’t drink beer, we would have liked other options. The Onsen water was silky-smooth, and the in-room bath was great as well; the complimentary private family bath was spacious and perfect for relaxing. The dog run is covered with wood chips, but it’s hard to tell poop from chips (lol). It would be helpful to have a waste bin and a water station. It’s such a wonderful Accommodation—so comfortable—that we’ll be back again at year-end!

    We chose the Japanes...

We chose the Japanese meal option, but everything felt like it was made by amateurs. In particular, the mixed rice was hard and dry, and we couldn’t eat it. At breakfast as well, the items that had been set out in advance were completely cold on the plates, and none of the meals felt like the kind of breakfast you would expect from an Accommodation featured on IKYU.com. Many of the staff seemed to be trainees and were working very hard, so we wanted to support them, but we felt that supervision and training were still insufficient.

    Dog-Friendly Accommodation

I stayed with my Chi-poo. The Room was clean, and it was great to have a private open-air bath. It would have been perfect if we could dine in the restaurant together with our dog. The on-site dog run is covered with wood chips, which is a thoughtful, dog-friendly touch. The staff were pleasant, and it was a wonderful Accommodation. At check-out, we also received a discount voucher for our next stay, which makes it easy to return.

    Highly satisfied.

I visited without high expectations, but as the title suggests, I was extremely satisfied. I had never given all 5s in previous surveys. The Hotel staff, meals, Room, and bath were all perfect. It became an unforgettable and wonderful memory. I brought my beloved dog along (a 6-year-old Labrador), but she seemed to have one complaint: she couldn't accompany me to meals. She stayed behind with a "very sad" expression because she always wants to be by my side.

    Hospitality

The staff were foreigners, but they were very pleasant, spoke excellent Japanese, and provided exceptionally polite service that left us feeling enriched. The dishes were carefully prepared, reflecting the chef's kindness, and we were very satisfied.

It was disappointing in many ways.

We stayed here during our road trip in Kyushu with our dog. First of all, we were grateful to find a place that accommodates large dogs, but there were several points that left us a bit disappointed. To begin with, the air conditioner in the Room was poorly positioned. While it worked well in the bedroom, it didn’t reach the living room effectively. Next, regarding the open-air bath, it was too small and could only accommodate one person at a time. Considering that the wooden deck is relatively spacious, I thought it would be better if they could expand its width to about three times its current size. Perhaps they expect guests to use private baths instead; however, since those are not always available for use, I believe expanding the bath in the Room is essential. As for staff members, most of them were either foreigners or Japanese trainees still undergoing training. Unfortunately, this often resulted in a lack of attentiveness and detailed service despite their evident hard work and effort. There were moments when services weren’t provided properly or things felt disorganized—situations where we couldn’t help but smile wryly at times. Improving hospitality skills would be greatly appreciated. Lastly—and this might just come down to personal preference—the selection of wines seemed predominantly light-bodied overall. Since their cuisine is quite substantial and flavorful already, having some richer and fuller-bodied options would enhance dining experiences further; offering pairing services would also be an excellent addition. The atmosphere and food are decent enough overall; however these shortcomings made us feel rather disappointed given its potential quality otherwise!
