A Memorable 2-Night, 3-Day Stay with Our Beloved Dog, Touched by the Staff’s Thoughtful Hospitality

Until now, we often traveled with our children and stayed in a whole-house rental Accommodation, enjoying BBQs and cooking for ourselves. This time, however, we stayed without the kids—just the two of us and our senior dog—for 2 nights and 3 days from 2/11. Every Room Service dish was delicious, and we were able to enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace. The Room was comfortable, and we felt completely at ease staying together with our dog—we were very satisfied. Most memorable of all was the thoughtfulness and excellent service from all the staff. Their attentive care and polished hospitality made it clear that training and service standards are consistently well maintained. Thanks to you, we had a truly pleasant stay. We were a little worried because our dog is elderly, but he was able to relax comfortably, making this a wonderful memory for our family. Thank you for such a lovely time and lasting memories. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again.

    This was our second ...

This was our second stay, following last year. We’ve stayed at several other places that allow dogs, but we think this Hotel is the best. The Room had two toilets and two washbasins, which we were very satisfied with. The Japanese meal we reserved was also delicious. Our senior dog, who will soon be 18, happily walked around the Room.

    Pet-friendly Accommodation

We usually travel to the Izu area, but this time we visited the Boso Peninsula for the first time. Even with traffic on the Aqua-Line, it was closer from Tokyo than we expected. This Accommodation is truly dog-friendly. Upon arrival, we were kindly shown a grassy area where our dog could relieve itself right after getting out of the car—such thoughtful consideration. The layout is also designed so dogs won’t slip out in unfamiliar surroundings, and even in the Room there is an additional door right after you enter. For meals, we used room service. After consulting in advance, they even suggested items not on the room service menu, and we were very satisfied. The dog meal also looked delicious; it might have been helpful to have kitchen scissors to cut it up neatly. Still, our dog—who normally isn’t interested in vegetables—somehow finished even the vegetables. We were also surprised at how spacious the dog run was for an Accommodation with only five rooms. Our dog kept asking to go again and again. We could also use Kamogawa-kan’s large public bath, which made us happy as well. For breakfast we chose Japanese-style room service; there was a great variety and everything was delicious. In particular, the sea bream sesame ochazuke was so good that I couldn’t help saying “That’s delicious” out loud. We would definitely love to stay again.

    Traveling with Pets

I searched for accommodation that could satisfy both my desires and my children's preferences during the summer vacation. We decided to stay at this accommodation based on conditions such as being within a 2-hour drive from Tokyo, creating memories with our elderly dog, proximity to the sea, opportunities for sightseeing, well-equipped facilities like an onsen and pool, clean interiors, and having a private open-air onsen bath in the room. The result was complete satisfaction. The staff were kind and attentive, making us feel as comfortable as if we were at home. The private bath in the room was kept warm 24 hours a day so we could enjoy it anytime. We opted for room service meals; the seasonal kaiseki set allowed us to enjoy various seafood dishes, and the Japanese breakfast with tai chazuke was incredibly delicious. One highlight was the terrace living area in Kamogawa-kan Main Building. It featured spacious seating areas with comfortable sofas where guests could freely enjoy drinks anytime. There were options like sake, wine, plum wine, craft beer, fruit juices, soft drinks along with light snacks such as frozen fruits and ice cream—all of which were delightful! However, what impressed me most was their soup! The vegetable soup packed with rich flavors truly warmed both body and soul. We also used the rooftop panoramic pool while enjoying views of the morning sea. Although we didn’t use the large public baths this time around—we plan to try them next visit! On our way there we stopped by Kisarazu Outlet Mall; after checking out from this accommodation’s free pet hotel service post-stay—we visited Sea World before heading back home—a fulfilling trip despite being just one night! While considering other options like villas with pools—concerns over costs or maintenance led us here instead—and it turned out perfect even for our dog who slept soundly on his bed after exploring freely outdoors during walks around their garden space! Our children too had an amazing time creating wonderful summer vacation memories—thank you very much!

Your dog escaped through a damaged net in the dog run.

The food and staff service were both very satisfying. The dinner and breakfast we ordered through room service were particularly delicious and well-balanced. Additionally, we enjoyed using the pool at Kamogawa-kan, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in a resort-like atmosphere. However, upon arriving at the accommodation, we had a frightening experience when our dog escaped due to damaged netting in the dog run area. Fortunately, we were able to catch our dog safely, but considering the nearby parking lot and large road, it still sends chills down my spine thinking about what could have happened. While it seems that temporary repairs were made promptly to the damaged netting, we felt too uneasy to use it again during our stay, which was very disappointing. Since this is promoted as an "Accommodation where you can relax with your beloved pet," I strongly urge regular inspections and maintenance of such facilities. Additionally, I believe it would be beneficial to reconsider the design of what appears to be a rather simple dog run made of nets and poles.

The meals and Onsen were excellent.

We visited with our Toy Poodle, Coco. The room was very spacious, and the dog-friendly area was also large and comfortable. For dinner, we had shabu-shabu through room service, which was incredibly delicious and generously portioned. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish all the rice and felt it was wasteful in these times—I even wished I could take it home as rice balls! The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options that we enjoyed. We noticed the marinated fish towards the end and learned it could be enjoyed with broth; unfortunately, it was too late to try this time but decided to have it next time for sure. It seemed there wasn’t any tea available among the drinks, which was a bit disappointing. However, freshly baked bread brought during meals included crispy croissants that were absolutely delicious! The staff's attentiveness and hospitality were excellent as well. The Onsen facilities were very spacious and allowed for a relaxing soak. We bathed both at night and in the morning; luckily, there had been an alternation of baths so we could enjoy both types of Onsen experiences—this made us very happy! Although we didn’t visit "Puro" this time around, we're looking forward to trying it on our next visit. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

    Onsen and meals are excellent.

This is my second visit. I was impressed last time as well, and the food is absolutely delicious. The portions are so generous that it's hard to finish, but everything tastes amazing. The Onsen is wonderful too; while the Onsen in the room is sufficient, the large public bath in the main building is also excellent and very relaxing. The staff are friendly and even kindly handled our dog who tends to bark. I would love to visit again!

    With three Toy Poodles.

Thank you for your hospitality. It was our first trip with our beloved dog, and it became a wonderful memory. The room had a great atmosphere, and it was our first time experiencing an Onsen jet bath in the bathroom. Even the dogs were relaxed. The meals were excellent, as expected from Kamogawa-kan. Room service was also great. We were already saying "It's decided to come back next time" in the car on the way home.

    The Best Accommodation

We used this for my husband's 60th birthday celebration. The phone support for questions about the reservation was very kind. As expected, the room, service, and food were all excellent, and we had a blissful time. Our beloved dog is getting older, and we don't know how many more trips we can take together, but we definitely plan to visit again while everyone is still healthy.
