    We had a relaxing stay.

A relaxing Onsen you can enjoy at your own pace. The food is delicious, everything is tasty, but the conger eel sushi and tempura are outstanding. When you stand in front of the ice cream, the staff come running over and help you with a smile—it feels great. The corn soup I tried for the first time this visit was excellent. The staff’s smiles and service always leave me satisfied. I can head home feeling refreshed and comfortable. Thank you.

Thank you for your continued support this year.

We stayed again this year to celebrate my father’s birthday. At check-in, we received warm birthday wishes, and you had prepared a top-floor Room for us. My father was delighted, saying, “Really?! Is this okay? I’m sorry, but I’m so happy.” When we entered the Room, there were roses waiting for him, and he shyly said, “I got flowers.” The meals were as delicious as ever, and the bath and the Room were just as wonderful—always completely satisfying. All of the staff were kind and attentive to my father, and your multinational team’s bright smiles made our stay truly comfortable. Thank you very much. We would love to stay with you again next year. Since he can’t eat large portions anymore, we are considering an in-room dining Plan next time. We appreciate your help when the time comes. Wishing all of your staff good health and happiness. Thank you always.

I’d love to stay here again!

The Room and the staff were both very good. Perfect. However, I mentioned that I have food preferences, but I wish you had also asked about allergies. I paid an additional fee, but I could hardly eat anything, so it was disappointing. Also, the hot pot on the set meal tray was placed in a different position. Maybe the server’s generation doesn’t pay attention to that? The guests at the next table and I even chatted about how it was set up backwards.

    Accommodation Use

I stayed here because there was a concert nearby. After the concert, I went straight to the guests-only Onsen. However, perhaps because it was a busy time, all the showers were occupied and I had to wait for a while. I felt there were too few showers. Also, someone hadn’t rinsed the shower booth properly, and when I tried to sit down on the chair, it was slippery and I almost fell. To help prevent injuries, “Please rinse after use so the next guest can enjoy it comfortably.” A sign like this could be helpful. In addition, there was no sink in the Room toilet, so you have to go to the washbasin area to wash your hands, which felt unhygienic. I could also hear voices clearly from the hallway and found it noisy. Other than that, the cleanliness of the Room, complimentary water service, luggage storage before check-in, how relaxing the Onsen was, having a ReFa hair dryer, the shuttle bus service, etc., made my stay comfortable overall and I was satisfied.

Birthday celebration for a friend, 60th birthday celebration

I’ve stayed at Ren several times, and once again you took great care of us in so many ways. My friend was truly delighted. Thank you so much. Thank you very much for the 60th birthday outfit and the flowers. I’d love to stay with you again when it’s my turn to celebrate my 60th birthday.

The purpose of this trip is to stay at Ren.

Ever since I discovered “Ren,” I travel to Kobe with the purpose of staying there. The appeal of “Ren” is its two large public baths—both wonderfully open and relaxing. The food is delicious no matter what you choose, and it even makes you enjoy ingredients you usually dislike. My top recommendation for dinner is sushi and tempura; even the salt served with the tempura was exceptional. For breakfast, don’t miss the white corn soup and the honey. The wash area has two sinks, and there are also chairs thoughtfully placed in the Japanese-style room. The in-house guide brochure is very easy to understand and a great help for a comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were polite, quick to respond, and always smiling. It has been 10 years since my first stay, yet it still feels fresh—and I can see how it continues to evolve. Next time, I’ll be bringing my grandchildren along.

    Wonderful

Thank you again for all your thoughtful consideration. Thanks to you, my wife and I truly enjoyed our stay and were completely satisfied. Even though the meals were buffet-style, each dish was beautifully plated individually, and it was clear that great care was taken with both the seasoning and the quality of the ingredients. The relaxing bath and the Room with its wonderful view and open feel—everything was excellent. The front desk staff’s courteous service with warm smiles was also outstanding. We would love to visit again.

    The Room is spacious.

Based on the excellent Reviews, we arrived with high expectations. The Room was spacious, clean, and had a wonderful view. We enjoyed the large open-air bath on the first floor, but since we used it at night it was quite dark and the footing felt unsafe. I think it could be dangerous for elderly guests. Also, perhaps we were just unlucky or there was an issue with the shower: the water flow was weak and it wouldn’t reach a proper temperature, and when adjusting it, extremely hot water suddenly came out. In the end, we changed locations and managed to use another shower. On top of that, one of the hair dryers in the changing room was also not working, which was disappointing. Since this is a Hotel with such good Reviews, I feel you should consistently check these small details more carefully. We had dinner in the first seating from 17:30 and it was delicious, but toward the end many buffet trays were left nearly empty. We wanted to have some of our favorites again but they were already gone. I heard there is also a second seating—are items mostly cleared away for that? Overall, it was somewhat disappointing.

    It was exceptional.

I stayed overnight after being recommended by someone familiar with day-use visits. The service exceeded expectations, and both the facilities and the Room were exceptionally comfortable. The suite with a great view and an open-air bath in the Room is especially wonderful, so I highly recommend it. I had mentioned that this trip was a birthday gift for my daughter, and we were touched to receive congratulatory words at the front desk, during meals, and throughout our time in the Accommodation. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you very much. I would definitely like to stay again.

    A bit disappointing.

This is our favorite Accommodation, and we stay here several times every year. Since my husband’s health declined, soaking in the baths here has helped him feel better, and the meals are lightly seasoned and mainly Japanese-style. Even though it’s a bit expensive, we don’t feel like staying anywhere else—we even come just for day trips. However, another group mentioned this at breakfast as well: for a buffet, the selection is limited and the menu is always the same, so repeat guests like us may find it a little unsatisfying. For example, with rice, some people may want a bowl of steamed rice, while others might enjoy having several types of rice balls made fresh in front of them. Even family restaurants offer multiple kinds of soup—being able to choose something like consommé or minestrone would add to the sense of satisfaction. The rolled omelet is delicious, but that counter area feels far too sparse. Please review this going forward and consider making improvements.

We always have a relaxing stay here.

I stay here once or twice a year. The food is delicious, the Onsen is relaxing, and the Room is always clean with an amazing view from the window. However, this time I was asked at the front desk if it was my first visit, which made me feel a little sad. I’ll visit again when it gets cooler. Thank you very much.

    We’re sorry to hear that.

This was our second stay on a family trip after three years, but both the food and service have clearly declined. Dinner drinks took a long time to arrive, the staff were unfriendly, and while we were still eating we were told, “Time is up—please leave.” At the very least, we would have liked to be informed 30 minutes in advance. At breakfast, the kitchen was noisily clattering around, making it hard to eat in peace. It was simply expensive without being satisfying. We will not stay here again.

    Wonderful

I stayed here with my parents. The view of Kobe Port from our Room was beautiful, and we were able to relax and forget about everyday life. The bedrock bath and natural Onsen facilities were also excellent, leaving both body and mind refreshed. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style with a live kitchen, so we could enjoy freshly prepared dishes. Everything was delicious—I ended up eating more than I should! Most of all, I was happy to see how much my parents enjoyed it. The view, Onsen, and meals were all highly satisfying, making for a truly special time. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made me want to stay again.

Recommended open-air bath at the panoramic large public bath

An observation large public bath on the 10th floor, exclusively for guests. I was especially impressed by the open-air bath, where I could enjoy the night sky over Kobe Port and the full moon floating above it all to myself. As it was a full-moon night, soaking in the open-air bath while looking up at the bright, large moon was unforgettable. Next time, when I have more time, I’d like to try the large public bath on the 1st floor as well.

    This was my third visit.

This was our third stay to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The staff kindly congratulated her, and we had a wonderful time. As always, the restaurant staff were all kind and friendly, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. If I may mention one thing, I felt the quality of the buffet food may have changed slightly compared to before.

    Thank you again for ...

Thank you again for your hospitality. This is a relaxing Hotel I truly love. What I like most is how comfortable and easygoing it feels. And… with the sea right in front of you, when you open the glass door of the Room, you can feel the ocean breeze while also hearing the sounds of the city—making Kobe feel wonderfully close. However, this time I was a little disappointed that at breakfast buffet there were only round salted rolls (shio-pan). As before, I would really appreciate it if you could also offer Danish-style pastries. I understand they may be available on some days, but… thank you in advance. I will visit again.

An annual mother-daughter getaway. Enjoy a Room with an Onsen and stunning night views!

After making a Reservation for a standard Room (west-facing), I contacted the property and was told that a west-facing Room with a private Onsen was still available, so they kindly changed our Room. It turned out to be absolutely the right choice! The Room was spacious and well equipped—honestly, it felt almost too big for just two of us (laughs). Above all, the in-room Onsen was amazing. We also enjoyed the guest-only panoramic bath, the open-air bath on the first floor, and the carbonated spring, but since the weather was unsettled and it was busier than expected for a weekday, we headed back early and relaxed in our private Onsen instead. The water flowed continuously from the source, and I could even wash my face—my skin felt so smooth. On our previous stay we chose a dinner course served in a private dining room, but it was far too much food for us as light eaters, so this time we went with the buffet. There were plenty of options and everything tasted great—I was surprised to see my mother (who usually eats very little) enjoying quite a lot (especially the desserts!). We were also seated by the window, so we could dine while enjoying views of Port Tower and Meriken Park beautifully lit up at night. I had been looking forward to watching “KOBE Night Mirage Sound and Light Show” from our Room, but perhaps due to where our Room was located or wind direction, the music sounded much quieter than last time and was hard to hear—this part was disappointing. The Room was spotless, there were many types of Onsen baths to enjoy, the food was delicious, and we loved the views—it ended up being a wonderful trip that left my elderly mother very satisfied.

    I first stayed here ...

I first stayed here last year for my 60th birthday, and this year my husband made a Reservation again for my birthday. We also visited with our daughter and family for my husband’s birthday. Above all, the meals, the Onsen, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff made this stay extremely satisfying as well. It may become our annual tradition.

It was a disappointing experience after a long time.

First, the buffet food was poor in taste and quality. Most of the dishes were far below an acceptable standard. I reserved a window-side seat, but it felt like a typical large restaurant—noisy and not relaxing—and the wine we ordered was also bad and undrinkable. The only good points were the in-Room Onsen available at any time and the view from the balcony. It’s fine for a day-trip Onsen visit, but not a place to use for a date.

    The Onsen was great.

I visited with my elderly parents. Because they have difficulty walking, we requested a Room near the elevator, and in addition, chairs were prepared in the Room and our dining table was close to the buffet, which was very helpful. The trolley attached to the table was also convenient. The bath amenities were well stocked, so it was great that we could go without bringing anything. Of course, the baths were spacious and there was also a natural hot spring source, so we could relax at our leisure. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I had a relaxing Golden Week.

I wanted to relax during my busy days, so I stayed at Ren, an Accommodation with an Onsen Facility. It’s close to Osaka, and the Room was clean. The cleaning was thorough, and I had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast offered a good variety, and I was satisfied. I’d like to visit again.

    Where are you headed?

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days during Golden Week and paid about JPY 300,000 in total. To be clear, the Room was generally clean and the food was tasty. However, it honestly did not feel worth JPY 300,000 at all. First, the parking lot: it’s very far from the entrance, has no roof, and is completely exposed to the elements. It’s narrow and difficult to park in—some ordinary business hotels have better facilities. Next, reception: check-in was crowded. That part is understandable since it was Golden Week. But staff did not properly manage the line flow, so people couldn’t tell where to queue or where the line even started. Also, at checkout I was assisted by someone wearing a name tag that said “in training.” That’s fine—everyone has to start somewhere. But is there no checklist or manual for required confirmations? Because they failed to check my parking ticket and I almost ended up paying over JPY 10,000 in parking fees. I noticed when leaving and reported it at reception; they processed it without even an apology and simply said “Here you go.” It was your mistake—an apology might be too much to ask for some people, but wasn’t there at least something you could say? Next, the Room: it’s average. There is something like a balcony (more like a veranda). The bathroom was less clean than my family home bathroom. The wallpaper had many patchwork repairs, dust along the edges stood out, and worst of all, “the toilet door didn’t fit properly and the lock temporarily wouldn’t open.” This is what JPY 300,000 gets you? We also had both breakfast and dinner there. You call it “live kappo,” but kappo already implies freshly prepared food served on the spot—so I don’t really understand what “live kappo” means here. It tasted fine overall, but things like battered asparagus tempura with patchy coating and dried-out sushi made me wonder whether this is really prepared by skilled Japanese cuisine professionals at all. The floor staff also tried to clear plates as soon as we finished eating each item. I understand there are time slots, but we can keep track of time ourselves—please don’t rush guests unnecessarily. There wasn’t even anyone stationed at the restaurant reception; we wandered around not knowing who would seat us until someone came out smiling from a door in the back area. Is it really that difficult to have someone waiting at reception? There’s more I could write about this stay overall—but in short، it wasn’t worth JPY 300،000۔ Smiling isn’t hospitality; what matters is minimizing avoidable stress for guests who are paying premium prices。 The location and view are great—but please stop relying on that alone and make real improvements。

    The Room, the Onsen,...

The Room, the Onsen, and the location were excellent. The night view was incredibly beautiful. However, for a Facility in this price range, the food was quite disappointing. I also think the in-room amenities could be improved. What kind of guests are you aiming to attract? Since there are many restaurants around Sannomiya Station, it may be better to dine elsewhere.

    The meals are outstanding.

Regarding the Onsen, many guests also visit for day use, and while there is a top-floor bath reserved for overnight guests, it is not very large. Considering the location, it felt about as expected. It was nice that there was a natural hot spring source. In the morning, I was able to enjoy a relaxing soak. What truly stands out is the dining. The breakfast and dinner buffets were exceptionally well stocked. In particular, the simmered young bamboo shoots (Wakatake-ni) at dinner were outstanding—I went back for seconds many times. There was no bitterness at all, and it was luxuriously prepared using only the tender tips. I wondered if they did not use the middle sections, but those appeared in a Tosani-style simmered dish the next morning. This was also wonderfully flavorful throughout and perfectly tender. There were many other dishes I would recommend as well. It’s also convenient that you can collect everything at once using a cart/wagon. The final ice cream being gelato meant I still had room for more even after feeling full. I also greatly appreciated how thoughtfully the staff accommodated our seating needs.

Disappointing: dinner’s bamboo shoot and shrimp mixed rice, plain white rice, and a dry, hollow orange.

Every time we stay here, we leave completely satisfied. I was planning to give my usual perfect score of 30 points, but this time there was a disappointing moment at dinner. The bamboo shoot and shrimp rice and the plain rice came with a dry, flavorless orange. My wife and son—who both love bamboo shoot rice—tried it first, but their verdict was “not good.” So I waited and did my usual walk around to look at the ingredients. Then I noticed it: what is this dry orange? It was the first time I had ever seen ingredients like that here. The sukiyaki beef, on the other hand, was generous and satisfying. To finish, I poured the broth over the rice as usual. When asked, “Would you like some crispy scorched rice?” I thought it would be delicious if it had that toasted crust—but there wasn’t any; instead it felt sticky, which was disappointing. I assume there must have been some circumstances behind it, but for guests like us each stay is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. I am convinced this Hotel normally serves dishes made with plenty of fresh ingredients. But don’t worry: 〇 The conger eel sushi is outstanding 〇 I had three refills of plain rice at breakfast—it’s that good here I woke up after 3 a.m., so I relaxed in the Room’s open-air bath for a while. The free-flowing hot spring water really is the best!! We stay here every year to celebrate family birthdays. Please keep up the great work.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and heartfelt support.

This time, the three of us—my mother, my sister, and I—had a wonderful stay. We were impressed by the well-stocked bath with plenty of towels and amenities, the spacious and spotless guest room, and the thoughtful touch of providing both pajamas and a yukata. In addition to the delicious meals, enjoying cocktails while taking in the beautiful night view from the 전망 BAR was an incredibly luxurious experience. We are truly grateful for all the delightful suggestions and services you kindly provided. As we were traveling with my mother who has limited mobility, your support made our stay very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We will be back again, and we look forward to staying with you in the future.

    This is my favorite Hotel.

I chose a Room again with a west-facing view of Kobe Tower, because I love that scenery. The Room was also clean. I wanted to give the bath a perfect score, but I was concerned that the ceiling of the mist sauna is peeling. The meals were delicious both dinner and breakfast.

    This was the worst O...

This was the worst Onsen and Hotel I’ve ever stayed at in terms of sleep. The bed mattress was so old that it was sagging, and the pillow was hard and uncomfortable. The room also wasn’t properly cleaned—there were lots of hairs. The food was delicious.

    Sardines for Breakfast

I have stayed here several times, but this was my first Multiple Night Stay. On the morning of the first night, breakfast included dried sardines, which were very delicious. I hoped they would be available again the next day, and the second morning’s menu was almost the same as the previous day’s, including dried sardines. However, when I went to take some, every piece was completely burnt. Even so, I picked two or three that seemed acceptable and started eating them, but they were so hard that they were inedible. Since many fish are likely grilled at once in an oven, they probably all ended up burnt. I have serious doubts and concerns about how a restaurant could serve such poor-quality food. In the past there were also inappropriate remarks from a staff member in charge of tempura, and I strongly urge this restaurant to reflect on its practices.
