    Golf Course Accommodation

    It’s a good choice for golf. The Facility is old, but I think it’s about what you’d expect at an upscale golf course. The meal menu uses an add-on pricing system. Switching from pork to beef costs about 4,500 yen extra, and changing the type of pasta was about 2,200 yen extra (if I remember correctly). I tried changing the pasta type, but the portion felt like maybe 20–30 g—just a tiny pinch of noodles—so it was like, “This is what you get for an extra 2,200 yen?” I felt it’s better not to choose meal options. Recommended if you’re going for golf.

    Both the scenery and the Hotel were wonderful.

    I asked about dining on the day and wanted to have French cuisine, but it required a Reservation by the day before. That was disappointing, but the Room was spacious and comfortable, and the green scenery was refreshing. Breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed the trip with my daughter. However, since the large public bath was only available until 6:00 PM, I had to rush back to the Hotel while driving. I just made it in time for a bath, so that was a relief.

    It was wonderful.

    I assumed it would be just an Accommodation at a golf course and didn’t expect much, but it was unbelievably wonderful. The Facility—especially the Room—was cleaned more thoroughly than city Hotels, and the French cuisine in this Plan was of such a high standard that it felt like being in central Tokyo. As expected from the restaurant of a prestigious country club, and since discerning guests stay at this Accommodation, there’s clearly no cutting corners. Next time, I definitely want to stay again and play golf as well. Thank you so much to all the staff. We were extremely satisfied. My daughter’s wedding also went smoothly. Thank you very much.

    Great value for money

    Accommodation adjacent to a golf facility. The large public bath is available until 5 PM, during the clubhouse's operating hours. Although I couldn't use it, I was satisfied with my stay due to the exceptional price. Breakfast was also very delicious, featuring a live cooking corner for rice balls and high-quality ingredients. I had several questions and emailed them; responses were prompt, allowing for a stress-free stay. Thank you very much!

    The view from the Room is disappointing.

    The room was left to chance, so I didn't care about the size or type, but since I chose the location of North Karuizawa, the view from the room was disappointing. Bad: When I opened the window, there was a parking lot right in front of me. Disappointing. Since the parking lot is large, everything visible from the window is a parking lot. It can't be helped if it's a business hotel in front of a station or downtown, but to come all the way to the great nature of North Karuizawa and have a parking lot with no trace of nature in front of me is disappointing. It wasn't a busy season, so I would have appreciated a little consideration. Since I didn't come for golf, there was no point in coming to North Karuizawa. The sound in the maisonette room echoes a lot. The noise from the neighbors is very loud. When I opened the door at the back of the maisonette, it was connected to an unused corridor, which was scary. If it connects to a place that shouldn't be seen, it should be kept closed, and if it's for emergency use, it should at least be tidied up. Bathroom: An old household type. The edge is high, making it difficult for the elderly to step over. There are also steps in the guest room, so those concerned about universal design should check before staying. Air conditioning: The temperature is unstable, possibly due to the old type. Wi-Fi: Poor connection. Slow speed. The notation is hard to understand. It is written in small letters on a white paper laminated on the guest room table. It's so small that it's hard to understand. It would be kind to guide guests at check-in. Front desk: When guiding the room number, it was said loudly. I was surprised because there were other guests around. Education and consideration are needed. Breakfast: The venue is a separate clubhouse from the accommodation building, which is inconvenient. Although there is a simple roof, you have to go outside once. The variety is more disappointing than a business hotel. Elevator: Smelly. I think they placed a diffuser with good intentions, but the sweet scent is overwhelming. Another person who got off said the same thing. Since it's a small space, the size needs to be considered. Others: There are many steps throughout the facility. Not recommended for wheelchair users or those with leg problems. Good points: The view from the breakfast venue. Rooms with even numbers are on the golf course side, so the view is good. ReFa showerhead. Women's amenities (cleansing, lotion, emulsion, etc.) are available in bottles in the room. I chose North Karuizawa over Karuizawa because I thought I could enjoy nature more, so the view from the guest room was disappointing. Due to the hotel's structure, half of the guests may have the same impression. Although the age and structure of the building can't be helped, there are things that can be improved from the Bad points mentioned, and if the staff guides guests carefully, the impression would improve significantly. It was a disappointing evaluation this time, but I hope for improvement in the future.

    Great value for money Hotel

    The room is spacious for the price. The bathroom is also large, with a separate washing area and bathtub. As it is a hotel at a golf course, there are many refined guests, which is reassuring. In terms of cost performance, it is probably Karuizawa 1. The atmosphere of the restaurant also seemed nice, so I would like to try a plan with meals next time.

    A refreshing morning

    I stayed for one night with no meals included during my first trip to Karuizawa. I chose this hotel because of its great value for money and the availability of a shuttle bus from Karuizawa Station. Many accommodations in Karuizawa are scattered in locations that are difficult to access without a car, but this hotel was convenient thanks to the shuttle bus service from the station. When I opened the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by a spacious view, likely of a golf course. It’s undoubtedly ideal for golfers, but even for regular guests like me, it was an enjoyable sight. If I ever have an opportunity to play golf, I would definitely choose this accommodation again without hesitation. Thank you very much!
