    The meals are delicious!

    Dining by the atmospheric irori hearth was wonderful in both ambiance and taste. Breakfast was not a buffet, so we were able to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. The staff were kind, and it was a comfortable Accommodation. The sink being unusually low bothered me a little, but it wasn’t too inconvenient. I was happy that the in-room bath had tiled walls that gave a nostalgic Showa-era feel. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

    Such a lovely accommodation, so it was disappointing.

    We stayed in the VIP Room. The overall atmosphere of the Accommodation and the Room was wonderful, but the only disappointing point was the bath in the guest room. There were drain flies everywhere, which really bothered us. At an Onsen Accommodation in the mountains, insects coming in from outside can actually add to the charm, but drain flies—as you know—appear where cleaning around water areas is not thorough. They feed on soap scum and similar residue, so they can occur even in ordinary homes. I never expected to see drain flies in your best Room, and it significantly dampened our experience. To be honest, I also feel we should receive a partial refund. I understand that coexisting with insects is one of the challenges at an Accommodation that is meant to be enjoyed alongside nature, but drain flies carry a different implication. I believe there is room for improvement, and I hope this feedback will be helpful.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    The Accommodation itself feels quite old, giving it a secluded, off-the-beaten-path atmosphere. I was a little worried because of its age, but both the rooms and the interior were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The free-flowing Onsen from the source also had excellent water quality and left my skin silky smooth. The meals were likely all handmade—every dish was carefully prepared with real care. Everything was truly delicious, and we were completely satisfied. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind, making it a place we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The meals were delicious.

    It’s a retro-style Hotel, and it looked nice. The meals were very satisfying: dinner had so many dishes I couldn’t finish everything, and breakfast also had a wide variety. Both the presentation and the taste were great. The Room felt a bit old, and the sliding door was hard to lock—some renovation might be needed there. However, I appreciated the coffee service and the complimentary water. The changing area in the bath was small, and the bath itself was also small. The shower valve was stiff and tiring to turn, and I ended up using one with weak water pressure—my mistake, but there were many guests so there wasn’t much choice. It was disappointing that after the morning swap between men’s and women’s baths, there was no open-air bath in the morning. The staff were all very kind, and I’m grateful for their hospitality.

    At my mother’s reque...

    At my mother’s request, we visited Dai Onsen because she remembered how wonderful the hot water was from a previous trip. On IKYU, this was the only Accommodation available, so we chose this one. Just as she remembered, the quality of the spring water was excellent. The meals were very delicious, and the service had just the right level of attentiveness. Outstanding Onsen and food. And yet Dai Onsen itself feels almost like a ghost town. I hope more people will visit. Some Reviews mention various complaints, but considering the size and price range, our satisfaction level was extremely high.

    I might have expecte...

    I might have expected too much after seeing the photos of the Facility, but I was a bit disappointed. The Room had some issues, like noises in places, doors that wouldn't close without force, and a sound like chains rubbing from somewhere unknown. However, the Onsen (quality of the spring) was excellent. So, it balanced out to be quite good. The meals were also delicious. Thank you for your hospitality.

    It was a property lacking in professionalism.

    In conclusion, I will never stay at this property again. Despite arriving exactly at dinner time, we were left waiting for over 10 minutes in an empty room without even a towel. Although the dinner menu listed "matsutake," the attendant simply said, "We didn't receive any matsutake today, so it's not included." While having our meat grilled, we were left unattended for over 20 minutes, and had to go call the attendant ourselves. Upon seeing the burnt food, they remarked, "We think it's still edible," (though they eventually remade it, we had to wait another 30 minutes after all the dishes were finished). Just before departure, the dessert that was forgotten at breakfast was brought to our room, but we had no time to eat it before leaving. There was no particular apology for any of this, leaving us speechless. The indoor onsen, which we were most looking forward to, was too hot to enter properly, which was disappointing. I usually don't write reviews. Overall, this property lacked professional awareness.

    A quietly nestled Onsen with a sense of history

    Tucked away further beyond Hanamaki Onsen lies the quiet Dai Onsen. We enjoyed the very peaceful atmosphere and delicious cuisine. A thoughtfully crafted meal called Irori Kaiseki was served. Although it is an old Ryokan, it has been renovated, allowing for a very relaxing stay.
