    A relaxed, laid-back accommodation.

    This secluded Accommodation in the mountains (with a day-use bathing Facility and a ski resort next door) is perfect for relaxing. With only a few Rooms, it was quiet, and since every Room has an open-air bath, I was able to enjoy the Onsen as many times as I liked without worrying about anyone else. The adjacent bathing Facility is also available, but the in-room open-air bath was spacious and more than enough. Breakfast and dinner were delicious as well. I didn’t have any particular complaints, but it wasn’t an especially memorable stay. Despite the upscale-style design, parts of the Facility felt more like a Business Hotel; although tasty, the meals didn’t convey much individuality (a clear signature); and the service felt slightly businesslike. I felt that with just small changes in these areas, it could leave a much stronger positive impression. Overall, with the spacious guest Room and open-air bath, it was good value for money, so I’d like to visit again.

    I really relaxed.

    This was my second stay, and once again it was quiet and truly relaxing. Since the open-air bath is in the Room, I ended up soaking in it five times this time (lol). Last time the weather was clear, so I enjoyed a sky full of stars while soaking at night, but this time there was an unfortunate light misty rain, which was a bit disappointing. Still, although the meals were almost the same as last time, they were delicious as always, and I was very satisfied with the staff’s service. It’s an Onsen Accommodation that’s perfect for a real break—I’ll definitely stay again.

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    We stayed as a family. We had previously used the adjacent campsite and felt it was a very convenient location. Although the Hotel’s exterior is modest, both the Room and the Onsen in the Room were very clean and easy to use, and we were truly able to relax and forget about time. The meals were also delicious and exceeded our expectations. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again if we have the chance.

    The meals are good, but the bathwater is lukewarm.

    Because the hot spring source temperature is low, heating and temperature control are required. Both dinner and breakfast were very good.

    It was very good.

    We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. The weather was great, and we were very satisfied to be able to soak in the Onsen while gazing at a beautiful starry sky. The Onsen was a little cooler than expected, so I deducted one star.

    It felt like a simpl...

    It felt like a simple Accommodation with no excessive services. The Room was small, but it had everything we needed, and the open-air bath was spacious and very relaxing. However, noise from the next Room carried through, and a few times we were startled by loud thuds as if something hit the wall. Also, when we were taking it easy until checkout time, cleaning started in rooms that had already checked out and it became quite noisy. I’m not saying you shouldn’t clean before checkout time, but I would have appreciated a bit more consideration. The meals were very delicious, and we were glad to enjoy them calmly in a spacious private dining room. At night we had good weather and, true to its name, we could see a beautiful starry sky, but everything outside was completely frozen and I almost slipped and fell. Even at checkout, the path from the entrance to our car was icy and it felt unsafe walking with luggage, so extra caution is needed in this season. Overall we were mostly satisfied, but I think the pricing is quite high. This time we booked a very good-value Plan so it was fine; however, at regular rates I don’t feel the price matches the Facility or service level.

    Feeling saved by the meal.

    All rooms come with open-air baths, giving the impression of a luxury Ryokan, and we were excited to stay. The bath was an Onsen with perfect water temperature, and the meals were delicious. However, there was no coffee in the room; instead, it was served in paper cups for takeout from the lobby, which surprised us a bit. The interior design from the entrance to the lobby was disappointing and did not meet expectations. There was no greeting or send-off for us upon arrival or departure; however, we noticed that guests arriving after us were escorted outside when leaving, which left us feeling uncomfortable about this difference in treatment. While the dinner staff were all very pleasant and attentive, it might be beneficial for front desk staff to receive additional training on customer service manners.

    Unfortunately, it was rainy.

    If it had been clear weather, the sky would have been stunning, but unfortunately, it was rainy. The large public bath is located outdoors, so depending on your luck with the weather, it might not be as impressive. Since the bath is a bit far from the main accommodation, you may get wet. Other than that, I think it's a good accommodation.

    Sense of privacy

    I made the Reservation without much thought. It was a luxurious Ryokan, and the experience matched its quality. Above all, it offered a sense of privacy, and the Room layout was spacious and comfortable.

    Natural open-air hot spring, truly satisfying.

    The Onsen was truly wonderful. The room's facilities were also excellent. However, it was disappointing that the rice at dinner had a smell from the rice cooker. The breakfast rice seemed freshly cooked and was delicious. The salted and dried ayu fish were very tasty. When I visited the Onsen across the street, I brought a samue from my room, but it had a tear under the arm, a hole, and no tie, which caused some inconvenience. Since there are only 8 rooms in total, I wish there had been more thorough inspections of such items. I also felt that there were slightly too few staff members available. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Girls' Trip

    I stay here every year as my regular accommodation. We, a group of three women, stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. It was unclear whether we should lay out the futons ourselves in the Japanese-style room or if they would be prepared during dinner time. Other than that, everything was perfect.

    The whole family was satisfied.

    Both guest rooms and facilities are well-maintained and kept clean. With a limit of only 8 groups per day, the service is attentive and personalized. Meals are carefully prepared to highlight the quality of the ingredients, beautifully presented, with many unique dishes that were absolutely delicious. All rooms come with an open-air bath, allowing for a relaxing stay. It was truly excellent.

    A relaxing Hotel.

    With only 8 rooms, all featuring open-air baths, the accommodation offers a comfortable experience with onsen flowing directly into each room's bath. Meals are served in private dining rooms and were very delicious and satisfying. The staff were all kind and provided pleasant service. The only downside was that it is a bit far from home; staying an additional night along the way might make the journey easier. I would consider staying again next year.

    I had a relaxing time.

    Since it was a weekday stay, there were only two groups staying. The room was spacious and nice. However, the hair dryer’s airflow was too weak. For the level of this accommodation, this type of hair dryer is unacceptable. I hope more attention is given to the brand of hair dryers. Also, it was disappointing that there was no scale in the room.

    The meals were absolutely delicious. As expected, the bathwater temperature remained consistent from check-in to check-out, which was very satisfying. If it weren’t so far from home, I would love to visit repeatedly. I will definitely return if I have the chance.

    The best Stays for a ski resort

    I usually went to crowded ski resorts in Kansai, but I wanted my children to experience powder snow, so we visited for the first time. I used to ski in Hokkaido during my student days, and the snow quality here is just as good, with the ski resort being sufficiently large for families. Despite it being New Year's, there were few inbound tourists, so we hardly had to wait in line for the lifts. During the New Year holidays, it was fully booked, and we had reserved a Japanese-Western style room, but we received a notification from IKYU that a smaller room suddenly became available, and we were lucky to stay for two nights. Both rooms had excellent onsen. It was comfortable to have two washing areas and sinks. The facility is not brand new or luxurious, but it is very clean, and the staff are warm and welcoming, providing everything necessary, just like the ski resort. Above all, the meals were surprising. I never expected to enjoy such delicious kaiseki cuisine in the mountains. Even with a multiple night stay, the meals were varied and plentiful, and we finished almost everything without feeling heavy. The fish, meat, white rice, pickles, and desserts were all delicious! I was surprised that even the dishes for the breakfast Chikuzen-ni were warm. Everything was freshly made and served at the perfect timing, making it a true luxury to enjoy while looking at the snowy scenery. The meals deserve more stars! We will visit again, so please maintain the quality of the meals, and we support you. Despite it being a ski trip, we were not tired but rather healed. Thank you very much.
