    You can enjoy a wonderful space and a relaxing stay!

    Upon arrival, we were guided by a cart to our Room while still in the car, and the check-in process and explanations were handled smoothly and efficiently. We took a walk before dinner, and when we entered the main building, it was a wonderful place with great atmosphere, where we enjoyed a very delicious dinner. I felt it was great to be able to spend such a relaxing time with my wife.

    This is a wonderful Accommodation that even my 90-year-old grandmother can enjoy.

    We stayed here as three generations to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Because her legs have become quite weak and she walks very slowly with a cane even for short distances, the places we can travel to are limited. However, our stay here was extremely comfortable, and we were able to make wonderful memories. I hope this will be helpful especially for guests in a similar situation. - The entire building is rented exclusively, and you can park right next to it, so the walking distance is short and you can reach your Room quickly. - There are ramps at the Room entrance and front door, and inside there is only one small step up to the bed area. - The Japanese-Western style Room has a sofa and beds that were easy for my grandmother to sit on. - The private indoor bath (Onsen) in the guest room has handrails. → She was delighted to be able to enjoy an Onsen again after a long time. - When we asked, they provided a shower chair. - They provided Shuttle Service by car every time we went to and from the dining venue (it’s about a 1-minute walk, but not an easy distance for my grandmother, so we truly appreciated it). - You need to walk a little inside the building to reach the dining venue, but there are almost no steps. We were also seated near the entrance inside the venue. - The meals made with plenty of Oita ingredients were delicious for all generations. All staff members were very courteous—this is an excellent Accommodation. Of course, not only my grandmother but everyone had a wonderful time, and I especially enjoyed adjusting the open-air bath in our Room slightly cooler and soaking slowly. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience and lasting memories!

    While the meals and ...

    While the meals and the Onsen were wonderful, I was very disappointed with the following points.\nSince we stayed as a group of four, two of us used beds and two slept on futons in the Japanese-style room, but there was only one very thin mattress (the so-called “senbei futon”). My back started to hurt and I couldn’t sleep at night. At the very least, I would like you to provide a mat.\nIt also seemed as if we were expected to lay out the futons ourselves—they were left rolled up in a corner.\nAs for amenities, there was makeup remover but no facial cleanser.\nI expected a level of service appropriate for the price, but overall it was simply disappointing.

    Western Cuisine at a Quiet Accommodation

    We stayed as a couple. We were impressed by the thoughtful attention to detail throughout. We were surprised that the indoor bath and open-air bath were set to different temperatures. Usually, the open-air bath tends to be lukewarm because of the outside air, but here it was set hotter than the indoor bath. Also, perhaps because there is no large public bath in the main building, we couldn’t hear any footsteps outside—truly only birds and insects. The Western-style meals were excellent. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again if we have the chance.

    Great value and excellent service

    The top recommendation is the open-air bath. The room's open-air bath is spacious, has excellent water quality, and allows you to relax at your own pace. The view is wonderful, with adorable yellow wild birds flying by, creating a very heartwarming atmosphere. The food was also incredibly delicious. There were staff comments and illustrations in the room and various places, adding a cozy touch to this lovely accommodation.

    A Place to Indulge in Luxury

    After about a year of watching my favorite YouTuber's videos, I finally made it to Flugel Kusumi. Each villa comes with an Onsen indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a spacious garden that adds to the luxurious feel. The delicious cuisine was satisfying, but the most impressive part was the exceptional hospitality of all the staff, who paid attention even to the smallest details.

    Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    Returned after 3 years. The friendly staff, attentive service, and well-maintained Facility were satisfying, making us want to visit again. However, if I may suggest, the overly soft and low beds as well as the dinner could use some adjustments to better accommodate elderly guests like us.

    It was a good accommodation.

    Stayed here after hiking Mount Kuju. It was my first stay, and while driving and seeing the signs along the way, I felt it looked different from the website's impression. However, it turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff were friendly, the meals were delicious, and the room was clean and spacious. The private open-air bath in the room was especially fantastic—spacious and relaxing. My only minor issue was that the blinds in the room were not blackout blinds, so I needed an eye mask. I’m already planning to stay here again after hiking Mount Aso next time. A truly wonderful accommodation!

    It was highly praised.

    I made a reservation for my American friend for a 3-night stay in October. The facility, service, and meals were all excellent, and my friend said, "I wish I could have stayed a little longer," which made me happy as I helped with the reservation. The bath was very relaxing, and my friend was impressed with the quality of French cuisine in Japan, which they were initially worried about. Among the hotels they stayed at during their three-week tour of Japan, they praised Flugel Kuju (Furyuugeru Kuju) as the most wonderful. The hotel's staff provided perfect service in English, allowing them to stay with peace of mind. Hearing such high praise, I also want to take my family there someday.
