    The location was excellent.

We stayed for two nights and three days. It was just a short walk from Glover Garden and Oura Cathedral, and also conveniently located near Shikairo and the Gunkanjima tour, so the access was excellent. We also enjoyed an evening stroll and were able to see Oura Cathedral at night as well as the night view, which was wonderful. The exterior and Facility are old, but the lobby was clean and stylish. The Room was clean as well, but as mentioned in other Reviews, I was surprised to find that the curtains were torn. The service felt neither particularly good nor bad. I would like a trash bin and at least some tissues in the bathroom. The lounge’s flying fish broth ochazuke was very delicious, and our child happily ate it. The ramune soda and mandarin orange juice were also tasty. It was disappointing that there was no castella available. For breakfast, having steamed dishes in a steamer basket for two days can get repetitive, but they served fish on the first day and meat on the second day for us. We had a very enjoyable stay overall. Thank you very much.

    The hospitality was outstanding.

I had a wonderful stay. I accidentally arrived at Glover Garden, so I called the Hotel and they kindly helped me. When I entered, they greeted me very politely: “Were you the one who called earlier? We’ve been waiting for you—you arrived sooner than we expected.” After that, every staff member continued to treat me with warm hospitality. That alone made me feel glad I chose this Hotel. In the lobby there are two counters—one open until 10:30 p.m. and another available all day—where you can enjoy as many drinks and snacks as you like. Since I arrived late, I do regret not getting there earlier so I could have tried more from the limited-time counter. The braised pork and chocolate were delicious; there was plenty of braised pork left, so if I hadn’t eaten too much at my dinner gathering, I could have finished it all… maybe next time. Still, the all-day counter was more than enough to enjoy. The lounge also has a great selection of books, so I stayed up a bit reading while enjoying tea and sweets from the all-day counter. It was such a relaxing time. Breakfast in a steamer basket was comforting and delicious as well—the yuzu miso was especially amazing. They also had loquat and mandarin drinks. I expected them to be sweet, but they tasted properly like tea with just a subtle hint of flavor. Personally (with my sweet tooth), the mandarin juice added to the all-day counter in the morning was particularly tasty. There is no Onsen (as expected), and while this is clear if you check in advance, toothbrushes are not provided for sustainability reasons. However, there’s a convenience store about 50 meters away from the Hotel, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. I’ll definitely come again! Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

    A tranquil space

I chose this Hotel for its convenient location near Oura Cathedral and Glover Garden, with Oranda-zaka also within walking distance. I had visited Nagasaki before, but this time I was able to take my time strolling mainly around the Hotel’s neighborhood. The “Night Walk” hosted by the Hotel is also recommended—it was fascinating to explore places I would never visit on my own. In the Hotel lounge, depending on the time of day, sweets and drinks as well as light snacks are served. Spending time there while reading “Raku,” an informational booklet about Nagasaki, felt like a chance to experience a part of the city’s culture. Above all, the staff are calm and welcoming, making for a very comfortable stay. I would love to return not only for sightseeing, but also to enjoy relaxing time at the Hotel itself.

    You can always relax here.

It’s a bit of a long walk from the station, but it’s always a place where I can stay and truly relax. Thank you very much.

    The service was excellent.

The location was excellent, with many sightseeing spots within walking distance. I was initially shown a different Room by mistake, so I had to deduct a little from my rating... However, when I spoke to the front desk shortly after check-in, they remembered my name—something I rarely experience at a Hotel—and they would occasionally chat with me as well. The service was polished and made me feel very comfortable. The lounge offerings clearly reflected great care and attention to detail, and the Room had a wonderful atmosphere too. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again—I only wish it were closer and easier to get to. I also enjoyed the breakfast; it was delicious.

A draft beer server is the best on a hot day.

We stayed for a 3-night stay on days close to 30°C, even though it was May. It was a highly satisfying Hotel. The location was great, and the lounge was available to all guests. Draft beer, highballs, juice, and coffee were provided—there were two options for coffee: a machine and grinding beans yourself, which was well stocked. We received castella on the first day, but after that it was only available until 5:00 PM, which was a bit disappointing. It was also disappointing that the Hatoshi service we were looking forward to had ended; many other guests seemed quite disappointed as well. We had the late-night snack only once; since it was the same item for all three nights, we chose not to have it again. It’s a very nice service for those staying one night. Breakfast featured steamer-basket dishes and they changed the contents slightly each day, but by the third day we got a little tired of it. The Room was spacious and simple in a good way. It had a terrace, but since it was on the second floor at the end of the building with a parking-lot view, we didn’t go out there. The toilet flush was weak, and adjusting the bath temperature was difficult, which felt slightly inconvenient. We joined an evening walking tour as well, and overall both the services and staff response were excellent. I would like to use this Hotel again when I visit Nagasaki. Thank you very much.

    Thank you very much.

We chose this Accommodation for its all-inclusive plan and convenient access to sightseeing spots. We were very satisfied to enjoy alcohol, coffee, snacks, and late-night bites throughout our stay. The braised pork served as a late-night snack was especially delicious. Breakfast focused on quality and was excellent. The guest room was consistently furnished with tasteful décor and furniture that respected the property’s character. Individual air conditioning also made the stay comfortable. The only drawback was the age of the bathroom Facilities. They were carefully cleaned so it wasn’t a problem, but the toilet and bath did feel dated, and it would have been helpful if we could have confirmed from the photos at Reservation that there is no separate washing area. Overall, we were extremely satisfied, including the value for money.

A conveniently located, comfortable Hotel for easy access to anywhere

Amenities were limited to the essentials—towels and basic toiletries such as shampoo—but that was not a problem at all. On the contrary, waste sorting was well organized, and I appreciated the property’s commitment to environmental efforts, which made my stay very comfortable. If I had to mention one thing, the all-inclusive details were explained only verbally, so it would have been helpful to have something visible to check the available hours. Something that was included at night required an additional fee in the morning, which was confusing. Other than that, I really liked everything and would definitely like to stay again next time.

    Great value for money.

I took my first trip with local mom friends to celebrate getting through the busiest stage of parenting. Because it was an all-inclusive Accommodation, the snacks, appetizers, and drinks provided were more than enough—no dinner needed for us. It was amazing value for money! The evening walk was great too. If I had to mention one thing, the parking lot is a bit small, so I recommend coming in a compact car.

It was a Hotel full of local pride.

We stayed as a family of three. What struck us first was that the staff truly seemed to love the local area. We heard they graduated from a nearby elementary school, and each piece of guidance was filled with feelings based on their own experiences. It was a rich, memorable experience unlike the typical tour guide, and we were very glad we stayed. As for the Facility, the only minor issue was that water sometimes spilled outside even with the shower curtain; otherwise, I didn’t feel any inconvenience. I also strongly support bringing your own toothbrush and hairbrush for ecological reasons.

    A=Clean, friendly small accommodation

A small Western-style Accommodation in a sightseeing area. The Room is spacious, very clean, and well maintained. The interior is stylish and comfortable. The TV and sofa layout is great, and the shower is pleasant too. The staff are friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find drinks and light snacks in the lounge. Great value for money. Since there aren’t any restaurants nearby, I should have added breakfast.

An Accommodation with Meticulous Attention to Every Detail of Service

From luggage storage before check-in, an evening stroll, breakfast service, and all the way through to check-out, every staff member provided high-hospitality service as if it were simply standard. It was an Accommodation that made guests feel truly comfortable. The complimentary food and drink service in the lounge was also high quality. When I stayed, they had Austrian natural wine; both the unexpected selection and how delicious it was made me feel the Hotel’s attention to detail. My wife, who doesn’t drink alcohol, loved the loquat tea and camellia tea so much that she even bought green tea from the same company as a souvenir on our way out. There were also various types of miso at breakfast, and the selection of ingredients that might otherwise be supporting players was excellent. Also, although it doesn’t get much attention in other Reviews, the wide variety of books about Nagasaki in the lounge is particularly noteworthy. Especially the titles from local publishers provided reliable information that isn’t easily found through online searches, and they were helpful for planning sightseeing the next day. Since it was winter, perhaps not many people tried it, but sparklers in the courtyard were another tasteful touch—throughout our stay, we could feel the Hotel’s care in every detail of its services. This time was midwinter, but this is a Hotel that made me strongly want to return—next time in summer—to feel the Nagasaki breeze from the guestroom terrace. I’m grateful we had the chance to stay.

Everything about the environment, people, and meals at the Hotel was excellent.

The exterior, interior, and bathroom of the Hotel create a European hideaway atmosphere that left me deeply impressed. The Room and lounge are quiet and very comfortable to spend time in. It’s a cozy Hotel with attentive hospitality, making me strongly want to stay again. I would also recommend it to friends visiting Nagasaki. Not only is the ambiance excellent, but the WiFi and shower temperature are also very comfortable. Although I usually have bread for breakfast and was unsure if I could finish a Japanese-style breakfast, the portions were just right with various side dishes that were all deliciously enjoyable. I participated in the "Night Walk" activity, which was wonderfully guided. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join another activity called "Saruku" due to plans for the next day, but it seemed equally appealing.

A lovely Hotel with a great location

A classical Hotel reminiscent of the Yama-no-Ue Hotel in Ochanomizu. The Room had a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The lounge was well-equipped, offering dishes like ochazuke with flying fish broth, hatoshi, and braised pork during cocktail time. A wide variety of drinks were available, and you could freely bring them to your Room. The breakfast porridge with flying fish broth sauce was very delicious. Conveniently located near attractions such as the Gunkanjima Digital Museum, Oura Church, and Glover Garden—perfect for sightseeing. The pajamas were a two-piece set and very comfortable to wear. It might be better to bring your own toothbrushes and cosmetics. Highly recommend joining the night walk hosted by the Hotel!

    I had a relaxing time.

I stayed here during a solo trip. It was my first time in Nagasaki, and I chose this accommodation because it is close to Oura Church and Glover Garden. The guest room and lounge had a calm atmosphere, making it very comfortable. Additionally, the lounge is open 24 hours, and they offer limited-time treats like Castella cake, Hatoshi, and ochazuke, so I felt like I could enjoy my stay entirely within the hotel. The staff were kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. I plan to stay here again when I visit Nagasaki next time.

Ideal Location for Strolling and Warm Hospitality

Stayed for one night during a solo trip to Nagasaki. The Hotel was compact in a good way, with a warm atmosphere throughout the facility and among the staff. The free lounge was relaxing, allowing me to enjoy Nagasaki specialties and drinks at my own pace. Its convenient location made it easy to stroll around the nearby Glover Garden area. The night view tour was highly satisfying, and I even revisited the same course alone the next morning. Exploring local alleys off the tourist path was truly enjoyable.

I stayed here during a trip with my mother. The exterior and interior were stylish, and I felt excited even before entering! The drinks and light snacks in the lounge were delicious, and it was so comfortable that I could have spent the whole day there if I didn’t have plans. As for breakfast, although I usually don’t eat much in the morning, there were so many tasty side dishes for rice that I ended up having seconds. The detailed pamphlet explaining the breakfast menu was lovely, and I enjoyed reading it while eating! One concern was the bathroom; the window in the bath area directly connects to the Room, and despite having a curtain as a partition, water tended to accumulate near the window frame when taking a shower. This made me worry about possibly wetting the bed in the Room. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful, making it an extremely satisfying one-night stay. If I visit Nagasaki again, I would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Excellent service provided.

During our stay, the weather alternated between rain and clear skies, but the availability of umbrella rentals allowed us to explore the surrounding area with ease. We also appreciated the lounge service offering light snacks and drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages in the evening. Tasting local sake and enjoying regional dishes like braised pork belly and Hatoshi rolls were delightful highlights of our stay. Breakfast was delicious, though it would be even better if yogurt or fruits were included in the selection. The Hatoshi rolls we had at the Hotel were so tasty that we searched for them everywhere during our trip but only managed to find them at the airport. It would be wonderful if they could also be available for purchase at the Hotel!

This was my first visit after the renovation. Although I missed the restaurant's cuisine and wine selection, I enjoyed beer and shochu in the lounge along with the provided snacks like nuts, potato chips, dried fruits, and light meals (on this day: Hatoshi, rice topped with braised pork belly, and Ago-dashi Chazuke), which made for a satisfying light dinner. While enjoying my drinks, I noticed guests heading out for a night stroll carrying charming lanterns. For breakfast, there was congee available this time—a new addition—and it was perfectly cooked to retain its sweetness even when cold. It was absolutely delicious. One suggestion: while the room and bedroom were very comfortable for a good night's sleep, the noise from the bathroom ventilation fan seemed quite loud. Perhaps it's time for an inspection? I plan to visit again during cooler weather and join in on a night stroll. P.S. Since I expected to work late on my check-in day (and stayed at another business hotel nearby the previous night), I visited one of your recommended restaurants for dinner beforehand. It turned out to be an excellent choice—thank you!

I happened to stay on a Tuesday with free breakfast. That alone was appreciated, but the breakfast was so delicious that it left me impressed. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that light snacks, including alcohol, were also freely available. The atmosphere of the Hotel was very stylish, and my daughter who stayed with me seemed to love it immensely.

    Local Cuisine

I had breakfast, and it was completely different from what I usually have at the Hotel. It felt like enjoying Nagasaki's local cuisine, which was truly impressive. I was surprised to find wild boar sausages as well. The welcome drinks included a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and juices, along with "snacks" such as Goto udon and kakuni rice. They even prepared a "moist cake-like castella" unique to Nagasaki, for which I am deeply grateful! There was also a night walk service where we were guided to a hilltop with stunning night views—it was an amazing experience that brought me closer to Nagasaki. Although there wasn’t a large public bath, the bathtub in the room was spacious and convenient to use. I would definitely love to stay here again!

A Hotel with a Lovely Lounge, Breakfast, and Wonderful Staff!

I had stayed here before and revisited after learning about the renewal. The exterior remains the charming Western-style building, but the guest rooms have been completely renovated and are now beautifully updated. The view of the harbor from the terrace was truly soothing. As it is a small Hotel, the staff feels very approachable, always speaking kindly, making me feel as if I had returned home and giving me a sense of comfort. This time, the lounge offerings were even more enhanced, allowing me to fully enjoy Nagasaki's cuisine with light meals and snacks available from check-in until night. Breakfast was delightful with a variety of Nagasaki's local dishes served in small portions to savor. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed an evening stroll to admire the night views. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much!

A cute Property that feels like a hidden retreat

This is my second stay at this cute, hidden gem of a Property. The charm of the Room remains unchanged, and I am thoroughly satisfied with the amenities provided. The lounge with free drinks, including homemade castella, offers a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. I originally wanted to book with dinner included, but it was not an option. It seems that dinner is not offered at all, as I initially thought it might be a private arrangement. Since my previous stay only included breakfast, I was hoping for dinner this time, so it was a bit disappointing. As for the parking... it would be great if the difficulty of parking could be resolved in some way, but given the location in Nagasaki, I understand it might be challenging (perhaps limiting it to affiliated parking lots could be a solution).

    I was very satisfied.

A cozy and homely Hotel where you can relax. The location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk to Oura Church and Glover House. Initially, I considered staying at a larger nearby Hotel, but waiting for a vacancy here was the right decision. With free drinks, including alcohol, and snacks available, enjoying wine while watching the night view from the lobby or the outdoor terrace was fantastic. It's rare to find a Hotel where you can spend your time like this. It was my first experience. Although it was only breakfast, every dish was delicious. The canelé I received upon arrival was exquisite and I bought some as souvenirs on my way back. The entire Hotel, especially the Room, had a European style, overflowing with exotic charm typical of Nagasaki. If I visit Nagasaki again, I will definitely repeat my stay.

I used this hotel for the first time on a girls' trip, and it was a nice, calm hotel with a great atmosphere. The entrance and terrace are also lovely. Above all, the service was excellent. I would love to visit again. 58-year-old woman

A small, stylish hotel that blends seamlessly into the cityscape of Nagasaki.

It's not a particularly large hotel, but I think the staff's hospitality is wonderful. I felt a spirit of conversation in each and every staff member. There was nothing particularly problematic about the room; it was clean and showed attention to detail. The plan I booked through the site didn't include dinner, so I thought it might be nice to walk around Nagasaki and eat out, but it was too hot and tiring. The lobby had free drinks and snacks available, and the quality was excellent, which I appreciated. I was especially happy to be able to drink coffee ground by myself with a mill! Most hotels offer coffee from machines that aren't very tasty, but I felt the spirit of paying attention to the finer details and providing satisfaction to the guests. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be that there was no air conditioning in the hallway, so it was very hot, and the elevator's response time and speed were quite slow, which I hope can be improved. It was tough waiting for the slow-moving elevator in the very hot hallway.

    Castella is excellent.

I was tempted by the all-you-can-eat handmade castella and made a reservation. It was a trip with my mother, and she was so delighted with the castella that she even asked for seconds, so at that point, I thought it was worth going. I also ate it, and it was delicious! I was happy that there was cream. I was surprised to even get canelé. I was worried about the age of the room, but it was actually well-maintained and didn't feel like a negative at all. Considering the price, it's fine to reduce amenities, but I think many people might find it inconvenient that there are no toothbrushes. I brought my own. I was also looking forward to the service of choosing a rice bowl for breakfast, but when I actually saw it, other guests were talking while looking at them and putting back the ones they touched with their hands, which felt unsanitary, so it might have been better not to have it... However, considering the price, I highly recommend this hotel overall! Thank you very much.
