    The reviews were great, so we decided to visit. It was truly as wonderful as the reviews said. The room was clean and had a nostalgic feel, making it a charming accommodation. We enjoyed both private baths, and the kids were thrilled—everyone was completely satisfied. We chose the sukiyaki course for dinner, and the meat was impressively large with generous portions—it was surprising! All the other dishes were also delicious. The staff warmly welcomed us with kindness. We will definitely stay here again! Our whole family felt relaxed. Thank you so much!

    Perfect for families!

    I'm glad I chose this accommodation! The service, meals, and bath were wonderful! I would love to visit again. From the room's window, we were all moved by the breathtaking view of the starry sky. Personally, I found the lights in the open-air bath of the large public bath too bright, making it impossible to see any stars, which was a bit disappointing.

    I will become a repeat customer!

    The building is not new, but it is very clean and well-maintained. All the equipment and amenities throughout the property are neatly organized, providing a relaxing effect. The room and bath are also comfortable to use. Although there was no guest room with an open-air bath, the private bath was available for free and could be used as many times as desired, which was very nice. The meals were also wonderful, allowing for a leisurely experience. We travel a lot throughout the year. While we often look for new stays to visit, this property has become one of the few we would like to repeat.

    Healing Accommodation

    Located in a slightly secluded area of Sarugakyo Onsen Village, this accommodation offers a feeling as if you've traveled back in time. The charm of the accommodation is something you can truly feel with your whole being, and upon arrival, I felt glad to have chosen this place. Since my parents are elderly, I carefully select accommodations that allow for relaxation, offer delicious meals, and provide enjoyable onsen experiences. While there are many such accommodations available, finding one that suits our preferences can be challenging. This time was very pleasant overall; however, the stone steps from the parking lot to the entrance lack handrails and posed quite a challenge for elderly guests. My lack of research caused inconvenience to my parents and trouble for the staff as well. It was disappointing to feel like we were being looked down upon while they carried only our luggage up the steps. Additionally, it would have been nice if there had been an explanation about Tama-chan and Maru-chan in the lobby instead of assuming everyone knows about them beforehand. In conclusion, my parents said they would like to visit again someday, which brought me some relief.

    Recommended for families with children.

    We stayed as a family with younger elementary school children. As the building has an old-fashioned feel, it made us feel like we were back in our rural hometown. Our child had fun playing with the robot in the lounge. There were local regional dishes as well as the Accommodation’s original dishes, and the sukiyaki beef was especially delicious. The catfish sashimi and the extra-wide udon we added were also very tasty. The baths included an open-air bath and private baths, so we could relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Also, between the station and the Accommodation there are places to try making soba (you can eat what you make on the spot) and farms where you can go fruit picking, which we highly recommend for families.

    They were thrilled!

    We visited with our 4-year-old! They were thrilled to meet Tama-chan and Maru-chan in the lobby! We really appreciated having a private dining room for our meals. We’d love to come again.

    A relaxing accommodation where families with children can feel at ease

    We stayed as a family of four—my wife and our two children (ages 3 and 0)—to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Due to our mistake, an issue occurred during dinner, but the Accommodation apologized and acknowledged that part of the cause was on their side as well. I was impressed by how they face each guest with that mindset, which is why this becomes a popular Accommodation loved by so many people. The bath is small, but the temperature was just right and we could relax and enjoy it thoroughly. If I had to mention one thing, the dishes were served all at once, so it might be better to check the timing a bit more. Our whole family was very satisfied with the trip. Thank you very much!
