    An unforgettable stay with exquisite kaiseki cuisine and soothing relaxation

    Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The kaiseki dinner, in particular, truly moved me—it was the most delicious I have had in years. Each dish was carefully prepared, and both the flavors and presentation were outstanding. I would highly recommend it to everyone. My sincere thanks to the head chef for preparing such an exceptional meal. The Onsen was also lovely, with a great atmosphere, and I was able to relax and unwind. However, I was a little disappointed that the women’s bathing hours were only from 17:00 to 20:00. I would have been even happier if it had been available for longer. The Room was clean and comfortable, and overall it felt like a calm, private space that I really enjoyed. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Centipede Encounter - Poor Response Afterwards

    I made the reservation three days in advance. The annex is tucked away, but it’s quiet and the room is spacious. The onsen comes with a shuttle service to the main building, where you can enjoy a private onsen for an additional fee. My spouse and I were very satisfied as we soaked in the flowing hot spring before dinner. Meals are served in the room, with each dish carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. As expected from a Ryokan, staff frequently visit your room to prepare meals or bedding, but they are polite and attentive. Wi-Fi is also available. Up until this point, everything was perfect; however, at around 6 AM when I turned on the light after waking up, I discovered a large centipede near the ceiling wall. Panicked, I tried calling using the phone in our room multiple times but couldn’t get through for quite some time. Eventually my husband said he would go downstairs to call someone directly when finally another attempt connected us to staff. It took quite some time for someone to arrive at our room while we kept an eye on where the centipede went during that period of waiting anxiously! Finally arriving was an elderly petite woman carrying insect spray along with tongs resembling large fire tools—but by then—the centipede had hidden behind wooden beams (nageshi). She attempted spraying inside those areas unsuccessfully due height limitations so ultimately my husband stepped forward helping spray & search himself too though uncertain if anything remained there anymore given its depth leading into air conditioning storage spaces beyond visibility range entirely! The elderly lady casually remarked “It probably won’t come out again,” which felt dismissive considering how uneasy this left us feeling especially since past experiences involving severe swelling bites caused personal fears expressed openly yet met only w/ casual acknowledgment like "Yes painful indeed happened me once too." Later bringing stepladders confirming absence reassured somewhat yet still unsettling overall experience lingered unresolved fully. During breakfast apologies offered repeatedly acknowledging inconvenience caused mentioning centipedes specifically disrupting peaceful stay previously enjoyed thoroughly otherwise prior events unfolded detracting significantly overall satisfaction levels unfortunately diminished drastically thereafter final checkout interaction further compounded frustrations encountering same individual handling earlier incident now unapologetically stating bluntly “We cannot control insects” rather than expressing genuine regret leaving lasting negative impression ultimately resulting rating reduced dramatically despite initial high expectations unmet disappointingly end-to-end journey conclusion summed succinctly summarized herein shared transparently publicly accordingly documented feedback purposes future reference awareness others alike potentially impacted similarly situations encountered likewise circumstances arise unexpectedly unpredictably unforeseen moments occur naturally     The Onsen is very nice, but the private bath for 30 minutes is too short.
