    The in-room bath was great.

The in-room bath was wonderful, and I was able to relax and take my time. The service was also excellent, so I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

I’d like to give it 10 stars.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. All the staff were always smiling, and their service was polite and attentive, so we had a very comfortable and enjoyable time. Upon arrival, we were shown to a private room next to the lobby, where we enjoyed some tea and sweets while choosing yukata. The lobby also had books and a souvenir shop. On the rooftop terrace there was a footbath, and we could truly relax while looking out over Lake Ashi and the surrounding mountains. We didn’t use them this time, but there was also a table tennis room (paid) and a kids’ room. The view from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing—I ended up soaking three times: on the first evening, at night, and again after breakfast on day two (haha). It seems they can also adjust the set temperature of the open-air bath upon request. In addition to the shower next to the open-air bath, there was also an indoor bathroom in the Room. I was happy that the hair dryer in the Room was ReFa. We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were served in the same private room we were shown to upon arrival. Dinner started at 18:00, and breakfast could be chosen between 8:30 or 9:00—great for someone like me who isn’t good at waking up early. Dinner included dishes such as salt-crusted grilled spiny lobster as well as lava-stone grilling of Kanagawa beef and Ashigara beef, which made it really fun. Both dinner and breakfast were truly excellent, and my girlfriend was very satisfied. The large public bath wasn’t very big, but it wasn’t crowded at all—we were able to bathe almost privately most of the time. The water was milky/opaque (nigoriyu), and my skin felt pleasantly soft afterward. I’ve been to Hakone several times, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation this good. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much!

The in-room open-air bath is outstanding.

On a whim, we decided we wanted to stay at an Accommodation with an open-air bath, so we made a same-day Reservation and stayed here. Our spacious third-floor Room, with the main tatami area separate from the bed area, had an amazing view from the bright, open guest room. (The view from the window overlooks Hakone Country Club and the surrounding mountains.) I think it’s rare to find a private open-air bath in a guest room that feels that open. You can enjoy two types of Hakone Onsen: Gora Onsen in the in-room open-air bath and Sengokuhara Onsen in the large public bath. The temperature of the in-room bath was set to 42°C and was very comfortable. (We were told it can be adjusted upon request at the front desk.) The meals were not overly large—just the right amount. (We tend to eat lightly, but we finished everything and were very full.) The flavors weren’t so striking that they made us say “I have to have this again!”, but everything was pleasantly tasty with enough variety to feel special and out of the ordinary. When we returned to our Room, some inari sushi had been prepared as a late-night snack, but we were too full to eat it. Since I felt bad about not being able to enjoy such a thoughtful gesture, offering this as an optional service might be better. The Room was clean, but the building itself seems fairly old, and areas like the stairs and hallways felt quite worn. (There is no elevator Facility; you need to use stairs for meals and for access to the large public bath, so it may not be suitable for trips with elderly guests or those with limited mobility.) For us—booking on short notice with the goal of enjoying as much Onsen time as we wanted in a Room with an open-air bath—it was extremely satisfying. Thank you very much.

    Private Room with Open-Air Bath

The private open-air bath in the room was always ready, allowing us to enjoy it anytime. The breeze was refreshing and felt absolutely amazing. Since it is a cozy Ryokan, we didn’t encounter other guests and could relax at our own pace.

I stayed for one night with my partner visiting from overseas. The food was delicious, the Room was lovely, and above all, the private open-air bath in the guest room was amazing!! My partner seemed so satisfied that they wanted to extend their stay. Thanks to the attentive service and hospitality, we were able to spend our time comfortably and with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

An accommodation with a refreshing view.

The meals were well-portioned—not too much or too little—and tasted great, but since we couldn’t choose the dining time, everything felt rushed right after check-in. If you had mentioned this when you called to Check Reservation, it might have made a difference. The dishes were also served quickly, and since we eat slowly, it still felt a bit hectic. Even with the Room closed up, insects somehow got in, and the air conditioning didn’t work very well, so it was a slightly uncomfortable night. However, the view from the Room terrace and the rooftop was outstanding. The smile of the male foreign staff member was also wonderful. In Hakone and Sengokuhara, Accommodation rates seem to be rising year by year. In other Onsen areas I wouldn’t feel it was worth the price, but at Hakone’s typical rates, I think this is an Accommodation with Facilities and service that match the cost.

Heartwarming hospitality and a relaxing experience

During my stay, I was consistently impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. They greeted me with smiles and treated me with care in every situation, making my time here truly comfortable. From the room, I enjoyed a breathtaking view of lush green mountains. Every time I opened the window, I felt like taking a deep breath to soak in the scenery. The sense of being surrounded by nature left a lasting impression. The private open-air bath in the room was incredibly relaxing—I ended up using it three times: right after arrival, before bed, and early in the morning. Each soak melted away my daily fatigue. The meals were all delicious, especially the lobster dish which was very satisfying. Even the rice was perfectly cooked—each grain fluffy and flavorful—which pleasantly surprised me. Additionally, they beautifully prepared a birthday cake and champagne as requested beforehand. Returning to my room to find candles lit created an emotional and memorable experience. The accommodation itself was spotless and meticulously maintained throughout, allowing for a worry-free stay. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience here and look forward to visiting again during another season!

    Truly satisfied!

We stayed as a family of three. At first glance, there were some areas that seemed a bit worn or unavoidable due to the structure, but the stunning views, delicious food, and excellent staff service made those minor details insignificant. However, it felt a bit pricey...

My honest thoughts on choosing this ryokan.

We chose this place because it came up as child-friendly when searching for accommodations with kids. First, upon arrival, the explanation in broken Japanese was partly understandable, but mostly it was a time when we couldn't understand what was being said at all, lol. It seems there is a shortage of Japanese staff, as many of the employees are foreigners. When we were shown to our room, the most surprising thing was that they placed the carry-on directly on the tatami mat, which was shocking, lol. At that point, I felt a bit uneasy. Also, I couldn't understand at all why this inn is recommended for families with children. The kids' room was dirty, and the adjacent ping-pong room felt like a ruin? It was so scary that we couldn't enter. During meals, a foreign staff member who didn't know the names of the fish being served tried to explain, but behind them, a Japanese person seemed to be instructing on how to explain the dishes. It wasn't a training session, so I felt they should have had a Japanese person explain from the start. There were several moments where I wondered, "What is this time?" While eating, my child got fussy, so I stood up to soothe them, and I couldn't eat my meal properly. Then a Japanese staff member came in and asked if they could clear the untouched food. When I said I was still eating, they somehow smirked, which made me feel bad. The food was nothing special, just ordinary. Really just ordinary. The room had a bath, so I could relax, and the water made my skin feel smooth, which was great. However, it was disappointing as I thought I should have chosen another hot spring inn for my first stay. There was no elevator, so moving from the first floor by stairs was inconvenient, and there were no diapers or anything provided. The footbath upstairs looked great in photos, but maybe because the weather was bad, we couldn't see anything. The exterior was beautiful, but the interior was very old. I think this place is not suitable for those who imagine an inn with a traditional landlady.
