    Happy moments

    I stayed here for the first time, inviting two friends from out of town. I had heard great reviews from people who had used Yuya Suizen and was told it was worth visiting at least once. The staff’s hospitality was excellent, and the Room was clean and extremely comfortable. The hydrangeas in the lounge and throughout the property, along with the furnishings, were tasteful and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and we had a truly happy time! I’d love to come again with my family.

    It was great.

    This was my first trip to Kumamoto, and I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The Accommodation is within walking distance of Suizenji Jojuen Garden, and the Room was spacious, clean, and well stocked with amenities. All of the staff were very kind, which I really appreciated. I stayed for four nights, and the meals were delicious with a different menu each day. I had a very comfortable stay—thank you very much. It would be even better if the large public bath were an Onsen.

    The Accommodation ha...

    The Accommodation had a calm atmosphere, and all the staff were pleasant and courteous. Dinner was served in an annex, where we ordered ourselves in an izakaya-style setting. Every dish was delicious, and we left completely satisfied. The private bath was a bit too hot for us, so it was a shame we couldn’t soak and relax for long. After a good night’s sleep, we enjoyed breakfast at a leisurely pace in a quiet setting while taking in the view outside. We also received admission tickets to Suizenji Park for an after-meal walk and were able to enjoy the fresh greenery as well. Thanks to you, it became a fun one-night trip that we will remember fondly. Thank you very much.

    I will stay here again.

    Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a special space and time. We were able to relax in both the Room and the bath. The refined atmosphere, with seasonal flowers beautifully arranged, was lovely. We did not make a Reservation for dinner, but enjoyed delicious local dishes à la carte at the annex.

    Guest Room: I stayed...

    Guest Room: I stayed in the smallest single room, but it has been nicely renovated and is very clean. Staff & Service: Perfect. It compares favorably even with luxury Hotels in central Tokyo. Baths: It doesn’t seem to be an Onsen, which was a bit disappointing (it probably doesn’t spring from underground). That said, I was able to enjoy three baths in total—the private bath and the spa in the annex. Each had its own features, such as microbubbles and groundwater, which made it fun. Facility & Amenities: Well maintained and doesn’t feel old at all. One thing only: I noticed an odor around the plumbing area, likely from the drainage system. Meals: I booked a No Meals Included Plan, but had a set meal at “Soro” in the annex. The flounder sashimi was firm and delicious. On the other hand, there were quite a few dumpling-style items and it felt a bit heavy, so I think a more balanced menu would be even better. Overall Satisfaction: It was plum blossom season, and the fresh flowers displayed inside were lovely. I really enjoyed having a drink or two in the lounge and being able to visit Seikuen Garden whenever I wanted—overall, I was extremely satisfied.

    It was very good, but...

    At check-in, I was told it was a No Meals Included Plan even though it included breakfast, and I had to insist twice. Family bath. Black mold? The shoji screens were dirty. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the service, response, room, and meals. I especially appreciated the flexibility with the check-out time. I would love to stay again! Thank you very much.

    A traditional Hotel located very close to Suizenji Park.

    The location is a bit far from the city, and there weren't many restaurants nearby for dinner, which felt slightly inconvenient. The room was a Japanese-Western style with both beds and tatami mats, allowing for a relaxing stay. There was only one large public bath available, and since it alternates between men and women at different times, it was inconvenient not being able to enter whenever I wanted. There were also private baths available, but they require a reservation, which can feel restrictive in terms of time. As a Diamond member, I had access to the annex's large public bath, which was lucky. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay. Breakfast was Japanese-style; it allowed for a leisurely meal and was very delicious.

    The other day, I use...

    The other day, I used the Japanese-Western style Room A, and the room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was luxurious but didn't quite suit my taste. I wonder how it would be for young people.

    Used for a reunion with my mother and aunts.

    My mother, who was returning home after a long time, stayed at Matsuya to chat freely with her sisters. The meals were just the right amount, and the wine was delicious and satisfying! The large public bath was a bit narrow, but there was a private bath, which was good. The Room was spacious enough for chatting, accommodating 2 to 5 people with a terrace. I was also pleased with the 11 a.m. checkout. We ran out of tea, and since there was no vending machine in the Facility, we got some from a nearby convenience store. Fortunately, it wasn't raining. The staff were all polite and pleasant.

    Queen Rouge

    The Ryokan that kindly accommodated us despite the late hour.

    Due to a significant delay from the original schedule, we checked in much later than planned. We were concerned as there was no opportunity to contact in between, but we received a call from you. We arrived about 30 minutes later than that, but you greeted us with smiles and arranged a taxi for the next morning on the spot. Although we couldn't finish all the meals because the previous day went late, the food was truly delicious and characteristic of a Ryokan. The bath was an Onsen, and it felt like it made our skin beautiful. It was truly a wonderful Ryokan.

    I stayed alone. I stayed for two nights. The Plan I used included a single Room with a double bed, a shower, and a safe. The drinks in the refrigerator were free and included beer, cider, and tea. There was one bottle of mineral water. For hot drinks, there were three types of Nestle coffee and tea. When I requested a curling dryer, they kindly lent it to me, which was very helpful. I only added dinner on the first night. I was satisfied with the local Kumamoto dishes, such as horse meat and spicy lotus root. Additionally, I was able to use the private bath and the large bath in the annex, which was very nice. I recommended it to a friend, but the main building was fully booked, so my friend stayed in the annex. The woman at the front desk welcomed me with a wonderful smile, so even though I arrived late due to traffic, my fatigue disappeared, and I felt healed. The staff had a very homey feel, which was nice. I was happy with the Mikimoto lotion and emulsion amenities, as they were one of my favorite amenities. It is a Ryokan I would like to visit again.

    A Comfortable Time and Space

    Thank you for accommodating me on short notice with No Meals Included. The hospitality at check-in and the preparation of the bath were kind and attentive. I will stay again.

    I used the shower in...

    I used the shower in the room, but my companion said it was very good. The service at the front desk was good, but during meals, the comings and goings were hectic, and I felt like they wanted us to eat quickly! Even though we were still eating, they kept clearing things away, which was unsettling. It was a shame for such a nice dinner. I thought it would have been better to have a leisurely meal somewhere else before checking in. It is a clean and quiet inn. The price was also reasonable.
