This is an Accommodation where you can relax at a very leisurely pace.
It was very quiet and comfortable. We stayed for two nights, and we were told it was fully booked both days, but we only saw one or two other groups in the bath. Once we were in our Room, it was so quiet that we didn’t notice other guests at all. The bath area has washing stations for about five people and isn’t very large, but since there aren’t many guests to begin with, it often felt like a private bath. Even when we shared it with others, it wasn’t stressful at all, and we could relax for as long as we liked. The open-air bath has tatami flooring, so it wasn’t cold underfoot and was easy to walk on. The water temperature was perfect, and we could soak for a long time. We truly enjoyed the baths. The meals were genuinely delicious. Often at a Ryokan you end up feeling extremely thirsty afterward, but here the flavors were well-balanced—never overly salty—yet still deeply satisfying. It felt like they brought out the natural umami rather than relying on strong seasonings. In particular, the whole grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) was the best fish I’ve ever had. The chef’s skill is outstanding. Dinner took about two and a half hours, but since we wanted to relax and take our time (including during the meal), we were very happy to enjoy such wonderful food at an unhurried pace. The portions were neither too much nor too little—my 86-year-old mother finished everything, and my high-school-aged son was satisfied as well. Our Room consisted of two connected rooms, so it felt spacious and comfortable. Some of the Facility is certainly old-fashioned, but everything worked properly so it never bothered us. This was our first stay here, yet the familiar atmosphere somehow even felt nostalgic. We also found no shortage of amenities. Many of the staff members were older adults, but they were friendly and kind. They wore office uniforms around check-in time and in the morning, then served dinner in kimono attire. We were welcomed with matcha at check-in and again before evening on our second day; both times it was excellent. Modern Ryokan are nice too, but this Accommodation is small-scale—which made it wonderfully quiet—and truly relaxing from the heart. Our high-school-aged son and daughter also really enjoyed how delicious the food was, the calm atmosphere of this Accommodation ,and chatting with everyone on staff. If you want to spend your time slowly and peacefully while enjoying truly delicious—and beautifully presented—Japanese cuisine at a relaxed pace,this place comes highly recommended . We would love to stay again .

The food is delicious.
I’ve never liked fish in general, but the grilled nodoguro, sashimi, and abalone here were delicious. The Room was clean and tidy, but the washroom felt old and the lighting was quite dim, so my makeup ended up heavier than usual (lol). The amenities selection is also limited, so it may be best to bring your own cosmetics and shampoo. Many of the staff are older women and very friendly; one even said to my elementary-school-aged grandchild, “Shall I take the lid off your soup for you?”—it really warmed our hearts.

It was an extremely ...
It was an extremely disappointing trip. When we arrived at the Accommodation, there was no parking guidance—just “Please park wherever.” After entering, the guidance was also vague, and there was no explanation of the Room at all. The open-air bath in the Room would not fill with hot water, so I called the front desk, but no one answered no matter how many times I tried. I went to the front desk to ask. Someone came to the Room and simply said, “It’s half full, so you can use it!” I gave up on the open-air bath in the Room and went to the public bath, where there was a strong stink bug smell as a “welcome.” There was even a sign saying that since this is rural area, please get along with insects. I returned to the Room and checked again—still less than half full. Since it was supposed to be a special trip, I held back my anger and called what seemed like a side/front desk line again—only ringing. At that point I finally went back to the front desk (angry). A different staff member came to the Room and said, “Sorry—we forgot to open the valve.” It started filling little by little, which was a relief. By then I was already quite exhausted. Since it felt like the Room would be dry, I turned on the humidifying air purifier. The water-supply lamp blinked, so I opened it to add water—and found thick black mold and insects............... I stopped using it immediately; honestly, it made me want to move to another Accommodation. We were paying a fairly high price (over 30,000 yen per person), so we endured it. The in-room meal started and things seemed somewhat better at first; however service remained slow and dinner ended 2 hours 30 minutes after starting. At checkout there were also billing mistakes that had to be corrected. I won’t say whether it’s good or bad overall; I hope this helps improve this Accommodation going forward and provides at least some information for others.

Meals take too long.
The meals were delicious, but starting dinner at 6:30 and finishing the courses by 9:00 felt too long—2.5 hours is excessive for a meal. The bathroom was too dimly lit, which was inconvenient. The amenities felt cheap; I would appreciate better quality items, especially the toothbrushes. However, the staff were very polite and attentive, and the cleanliness of the facility was excellent. The futon was also very comfortable to sleep on.

The cuisine is excellent.
It was an old Ryokan, but it was very clean. The food was incredibly delicious, making it a satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

Perfect for Kanazawa Sightseeing! A Tranquil Accommodation with Gourmet Delights
I stayed at this accommodation during my visit to Kanazawa. The meals were all truly delicious, with a refined taste that highlighted seasonal ingredients, leaving me deeply impressed. This small accommodation with only 7 rooms offered a very quiet and peaceful stay, and the staff's warm hospitality was exceptional. Its proximity to Kanazawa city and the tranquil surroundings allowed me to enjoy a relaxing time. I would love to visit again.

Stability
A Hidden Retreat in Kanazawa A place to enjoy doing nothing. The Room is a maisonette, which might feel slightly less convenient, but the semi-open-air bath is spacious enough for two adults to relax comfortably. The meals here are consistently delicious. Both dinner and breakfast offer a variety of dishes, and the taste is simply perfect. If you're looking for the luxury of doing absolutely nothing, this is highly recommended.

Quiet and spacious Room, the staff were kind, and I was able to relax. The food was luxurious and very delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. The open-air bath was small but very clean. The snow was falling gently, adding a touch of elegance.
